They heart you anyways, dude...
Well, I had a little accident this morning. I knocked off a coffee mug my daughters gave me a long time ago for Father's Day and watched it shatter to about ten or so pieces. I found two pieces that had most of the 'I They heart you anyways, dude... Photo DAD' on them, and put them in my drawer/file cabinet thing. What a bummer. So have you guys had anything break or you have lost that broke your frigging heart about it all? Just asking.

My stepdad and I didn't really get along very well when I was a boy.  We moved to a new town and I didn't have many friends.  I eventually became cool with the neighborhood kids that played baseball all day everyday during the summer.  I wasn't very good, but they were all pretty encouraging.  One day we lost our last ball and didn't have money to buy a new one.  I remembered my stepdad had this ball signed by some guy named "Baby Ruth."  We ended up using that ball, but Benny hit it into the "Beast's" domain.  After several unsuccessful attempts to retrieve it, we finally knocked on the front door of the guy we thought was the meanest old man in the world.  He ended up being this old blind guy with quite the baseball memorabilia collection.  We told him how his dog ruined my stepdad's ball and how he was going to kill me when he found out.  As luck would have it, he agreed to exchange that ball for a ball signed by the entire '27 Yankees team so long as we stopped by once a week to talk baseball.  My stepdad was still livid and I ended up being grounded, but in the end, it made us closer.

I'm overly emotional about any of my things breaking. They are all special to me.

I feel ya, about all I have as far as stuff like that I can fit in one of those Rubbermaid storage tub things. That was one of things I'd put in it. Dang it.

I broke the balance bar on my tiny helo during my reenactment of the "Seal Team 6" Bin Ladin assault using a small chess set. The pieces have denied any knowledge that the White King was on the board (even though they were clearly employing a Sicilian defense at the time) and have agreed to return the broken piece. It was a tough call, but i think my living room is a safer place.

You should write a book about that, maybe sell the rights for a movie deal. You could see if Justin Beiber could play your part and with Charlie Sheen looking for a gig these days, he could play your stepdad or the blind guy...

Remember kid, there's heroes and there's legends. Heroes get remembered but legends never die, follow your heart kid, and you'll never go wrong.

As for the poll question-------------->I had some dried flowers from my dad's service. Had them for 5 years and one day my cat knocks them over and they crumble to pieces. I think I watered the entire floor of my room after that. I managed to save 2 and have them still......away from Max.

I know it must have hurt a little, but perhaps this fathers day is going to be the best one you've ever had.

I hate to hear you broke a fathers day mug...I really wish it had been your favorite Crimson Tide Mug instead.
Sorry 'bout that, Bean.

I can't put a materialistic object over anybody living. I guess I could say there's been a few pets that I was responsible for running away or getting hit by cars, because I accidentally left the door / window open. I felt really guilty when it was my sister's cat and I wasn't able to make it up to her.

My Bama stuff is mostly in the form of unbreakable clothing items, maybe I can hook you up with an example or two.

I was given two Dale Earnhardt Sr. diecast cars by some friends who live in the States and knew how much he meant to me.  I had them hidden in a drawer when the kids were young, just to protect them from the kids accidently playing with them.  Once day I cam home from work and found the packaging for one sitting on the kitchen counter..  I just about lost it.  They had gone into my bedside drawer and taken them out.  One was opened, the other remained intact (only because I came home and stopped them).  I still have them both, but the value of one has dropped considerably, while the other one will likely fetch some bucks once they actually belong to the kids (in other words when I'm dead)
Now they are in a locked glass cabinet and everyone is forbidden to even open it, let along take them out to look at them.
Sorry 'bout that, Bean.

Not really, but I was at Six Flags New England with a female friend like five years ago — well, we spent the majority of the time in the security office after someone swiped her purse. And that ruined our day, but then a woman came in and said she had lost her little kid. That definitely made us realize her money/credit cards/phone weren't really that big of a deal.
I am a guy, I have never been lost.
