good monday morning Q

I am very disappointed in the Mavs defense, it's like they get too tired to care.

I went to 5 different parties over the weekend, which is almost twice as much as my average. I can't remember a thing that happened, but I woke up yesterday morning on some couch I didn't recognize with drunks just passed out everywhere around me, it was like a total flop house. First thing I thought of was the movie Hangover.

I took a picture of this one guy who got f***ed with because he punched a girl and then later fell asleep with his shoes on and that's a major party foul, so my friends shoved a warm hot dog down his asscrack and then a gun and we wrote all over his face. He was pissed the next day and our laughter just made it worse.

What's poppin' Q-peepz,

Had a fantastic weekend hanging out at the lake, seeing the Gin Blossoms/.38 Special, eating tons of Greek food, and celebrating multiple birthdays.  First off, let me say both bands put on a hell of a show.  The Gin Blossoms were my favorite because I grew up with them in the 90's.  They brought me back, although their new stuff is pretty good too.  .38 Speacial brought out the old cougar guard.  Sorry Leigh, I wasn't able to convince my gf to allow me throw her bra at them.

Watching the Cubs over the weekend should of made me angry, but I've come to terms with their ineptitude.  Time to blow this thing up and start from scratch.  I will say it was nice seeing future Cub Albert Pujols look like his old self.  Can't wait to see him raking at Wrigley for at least 82 games starting next year.

Got home late last night and totally vegged out on the couch.  As luck would have it, Dumb and Dumber was on.  I've seen it 9'000 times, but like the Lost Boys, it never gets old.

Harry
: I can't feel my fi-fingers anymore, Lloyd. T-th-they're numb!

Lloyd
: Ooh. Maybe you should wear these extra gloves... my hands are starting to get sweaty.

Harry
: Extra gloves? You've had...this pair...of extra gloves...this whole time??

Lloyd
: Yeah! We're in the Rockies.

southeast houston has not had a measurable amount of rain in six months. i heard thunder last night and my heart skipped a beat. northwest houston got tornadoes and hail and flooding. we got looming clouds and a clap of thunder. i don't want any of that bad stuff, i just want stuff. every sprinkler i see now, i try to get under just to feel what it was like to have water falling on my clothed body, ruining my hair and makeup sometimes. i'm so sorry rain for ever cursing you.

i had a crazy thing happen this weekend. roomie had come into my room right before i fell asleep and said "i bet you'll never notice what's missing," and left  i fell asleep and dreamed about an old friend of ours. we hadn't seen him in years, so i figured that must be what he'd been talking about. so i went out to the living room, dopey from sleep and told jon "i know exactly what's missing!" he actually turned away from his video game for this (rare). i reminded him about him coming in my room and challenging my memory and that i'd figured it out. he just stared at me for what felt like an hour and asked me "are you sleep-walking?" i'd dreamnt the whole damn thing and woke from it standing in the living room to my roomie's face projecting a massive "wtf, mate?"

this just in, ladies: i was just informed magneeto from x-man 3 is suh-mokin.

i saw a movie called "the ten" with paul rudd, winona rider, oliver platt...a lot of people acting out funny stories to remember the ten commandments by. it's not great but i laughed quite a bit.

I'd like to take you now on wings of song, as it were, and try and help you forget perhaps for a while your drab, wretched lives. Here's a song all about spring-time in general, and in particular, about one of the many delightful pastimes the coming of spring affords us all.

Spring is here, a-suh-puh-ring is here.
Life is skittles and life is beer.
I think the loveliest time of the year is the spring.
I do, don't you? 'Course you do.
But there's one thing that makes spring complete for me,
And makes ev'ry Sunday a treat for me.

All the world seems in tune
On a spring afternoon,
When we're poisoning pigeons in the park.
Ev'ry Sunday you'll see
My sweetheart and me,
As we poison the pigeons in the park.

When they see us coming, the birdies all try an' hide,
But they still go for peanuts when coated with cyanide.
The sun's shining bright,
Ev'rything seems all right,
When we're poisoning pigeons in the park.

Lalaalaalalaladoodiedieedoodoodoo

We've gained notoriety,
And caused much anxiety
In the Audubon Society
With our games.
They call it impiety,
And lack of propriety,
And quite a variety
Of unpleasant names.
But it's not against any religion
To want to dispose of a pigeon.

So if Sunday you're free,
Why don't you come with me,
And we'll poison the pigeons in the park.
And maybe we'll do
In a squirrel or two,
While we're poisoning pigeons in the park.

We'll murder them{ all }amid laughter and merriment.
Except for the few we take home to experiment.
My pulse will be quickenin'
With each drop of strychnine
We feed to a pigeon.
It just takes a smidgen!
To poison a pigeon in the park.
I wish it would rain...

 Hola.

-Kenne, somehow I think the wienie in the ass crack mixed with the gun isn't the only thing done to the dude (who I, at first, thought was a chic).

I need new running/walking shoes. My shins are whimpering a little.

9 days left ------of school, my current principal's leadership (sad face), and till I learn who will guide my teaching next. Oh....and I should learn what grade I shall teach next year soon too. I'm expecting a change because we have two tard teachers on staff so the need to spread them out is required. (the fact these two have jobs piss me off more than anyone can realize).

I'm really looking forward to seeing The Green Lantern and Super 8......just thought I'd share.

Have a wonderfully delightful Monday. Remember to think "good" thoughts.

artist walks into the gallery where he had some works on display. he looks around a little and asks the owner where his paintings are.
owner says it's a good news, bad news type of thing.  a guy was in and showed a little interest in your work. we got to chatting and he asked if it was true that art appreciates in value when an artist dies.  when i assured him that indeed it does, he bought all twelve paintings on the spot.
the artist asks him, " what is the bad news"?
the gallery owner tells him "the guy was your doctor"

Uuuugh. Arrrrgh. Uuuuh. Also known as Monday. I had a good weekend. Hope your's was too. Did very little, but the highlight was X-Men: First Class. Very well done. Go see it.  I have no dedications because I've done no research (did I mention I had a good weekend?). I'll do better as the week progresses.  I hope everybody has a productive week. I need more coffee.

Morning/afternoon Q'ers

Man....I'M GETTING OLD!  Spent Sunday working out in the yard...spread mulch yesterday all day.....today, I feel it....oh well....found a few gray hairs this weekend....no offense to bald people...but....BETTER GRAY THAN GONE!

Was kinda watching the hockey game on Saturday night...flipped away during intermission, forgot a little, then, when I came back....the Canucker F(*&ERS scored in 11 seconds?  Oh well....

Of course, Wednesday, I'm playing golf in a doctor's golf outing.....and this particular hospital ALWAYS picks the hottest day of the year...yep, it's going to be 92 on Wednesday with high humidity.  I don't know HOW this hospital ALWAYS picks the hottest day...whether they host it in June, July, August or September.

Have a GREAT WEEK Q'ers!

I had an assignment that I didn't do for the Bleacher Report, and realized that late last night. Journeymen who'll make an impact this season. I have trouble writing these hypothetical articles, because we really don't know if there's even going to be any NFL football this season. I hope there is, but the fact is...we don't really know. If they were paying me I'd have gone on with the article, but they're not paying me, and the freebee didn't get written.

Hola amigos y amigas!

Monday's=BLAH!!!

I really don't have much to say, but I am mad that it isn't hotter here yet! And I am sick of the wind!
So tomorrow is my Mom's bday and I have no idea what to get her. I think that she is the hardest person to shop for in my whole family. Suggestions?(and I mean serious ones not smartass ones).

Here is my song for the day, I heard it on the way to work and its kinda stuck in my head...

"Drops Of Jupiter"

Now that she's back in the atmosphere
With drops of Jupiter in her hair, hey, hey
She acts like summer and walks like rain
Reminds me that there's time to change, hey, hey
Since the return from her stay on the moon
She listens like spring and she talks like June, hey, hey

Tell me did you sail across the sun
Did you make it to the Milky Way to see the lights all faded
And that heaven is overrated

Tell me, did you fall for a shooting star
One without a permanent scar
And did you miss me while you were looking for yourself out there

Now that she's back from that soul vacation
Tracing her way through the constellation, hey, hey
She checks out Mozart while she does tae-bo
Reminds me that there's room to grow, hey, hey

Now that she's back in the atmosphere
I'm afraid that she might think of me as plain ol' Jane
Told a story about a man who is too afraid to fly so he never did land

Tell me did the wind sweep you off your feet
Did you finally get the chance to dance along the light of day
And head back to the Milky Way
And tell me, did Venus blow your mind
Was it everything you wanted to find
And did you miss me while you were looking for yourself out there

Can you imagine no love, pride, deep-fried chicken
Your best friend always sticking up for you even when I know you're wrong
Can you imagine no first dance, freeze dried romance five-hour phone conversation
The best soy latte that you ever had . . . and me

Tell me did the wind sweep you off your feet
Did you finally get the chance to dance along the light of day
And head back toward the Milky Way
You got the right stuff...

Hi peoples
I second Crash on this one, go see X-Men First Class.. Next one I'm looking for is definitely Super 8
Finally saw the movie Catfish this weekend, and totally failed to live up to all the hype surrounding it.. But I still liked it

Weather finally cooperated and with no holidays, we finally got to play baseball again.  Hadn't swung a bat in about a month, and who is on the mound for the other team to start the game?

For me it was a good day off. Worked saturday installing the hard drives I've been whining about. But, it's done and now I only have to deal with the fallout of 150 anally retentive engineers whining about icons. Took my 11 year old fishing with his best buddy from their swim team. *swelling chest of pride* where my son is a Wisconsin 11-12 y/o state champion swimmer. Ok no more bragging.
Planted a garden with my girls, a really small one. Which I will end up taking care of forever. Just like our pets. Ok. I'm done now. Thank you for reading this if you got this far.

Happy Monday, and if you are working today, that may be an oxymoron.

I was 'the wedding singer' again this past Saturday. The day started around 9:30am packing equipment and ended with me pulling into my driveway about 12:30 am Sunday. It was a thousand degrees and the humidity was about 700% percent. Everyone seemed to have a good time, it was just frigging hot. I found that the song 'Keep Your Hands To Yourself' seemed to be a song that went over well with the younger wedding party guests, especially this one lady in her early 20's who was wearing a tight, short, brown dress. She apparently was itching or had achy muscles or something. She was dancing with about 5 other chics in front of my microphone looking at me, and rubbing on herself a lot. I thinking her rubbing her achy muscles was helping her some, she sure did smile a lot while she did it...

Anyways, I had a crazy storm hit about 6:00 last night, ping-pong size hailing for like 20 minutes or so. It was raining sideways and I think I saw it raining upside down once or twice.

We play Friday night outside in the downtown area of a small city called Easley with a chic singer. She is sitting in until we figure what's up with other singer. The dude had a stroke and is having a slow recovery. It's a shame 'cause he has a great voice, real good guitarist, loved playing, and is a real good guy. I hear my daughter is bringing my g'babe to the gig, she's like 17 months old and can really bust a move. OMG.

The Braves are p*ssing me off. Plaxico Burress is out of prison and looking for work. I wish him well. LeBron will get a ring... ****.

Hope your week is great and shy chics rock.  :0)

P.S.- I still have to unload my band equipment out of my Jeep <insert sad face and eyeroll here>

Good day bitches.

I had a weird dream last night.  It was like I was involved in a giant game of Manhunt, and the other team was "it".  Only instead of tagging members of my team, they were really killing us.  So I decided to dive into a lake and climb into a large sewer drain to hide, which is where I decided it would be a good idea to ambush a member of the other team and kill him before he got me, then steal his walkie-talkie and uniform (yes, they had uniforms) and try to blend.  So one of them happened upon my hideout, and I went after him, but no matter what I did, I couldn't kill him.  And then I ended up pulling his mask off, and it was Danielle Harris.  She was like the T-1000 by the end of our fight sequence, all busted up and gross looking, but the bitch kept coming back for more.

I'm not sure what this all means, but I'm sure it's something uber-f*cked up.  And, for the record, I don't hate Danielle Harris, nor have I thought about her or seen her IN anything recently.  So, chew on THAT, Freudian weirdos.

that's what we were trying to figure out among the guys on my team when one guy sent this out today..

I play in the NABA (National Adult Baseball Association) every sunday from the end of April through september
I think he was sitting at 90 and touching 95
Needs to work on his slider, the two I saw were a little flat, but hard.  change up was a split that I didn't see, but from the dugout looked dirty.  If he had something a little softer and more downward tilt on the slider, he'd be FILTHY at the college level

I  Dumb and Dumber.  It's probably one of the most quotable movies EVER.

MARVIN GAYE - WHAT'S GOING ON  >>  http://youtu.be/jzPA-FrVu3I

Mother, mother
There's too many of you crying
Brother, brother, brother
There's far too many of you dying
You know we've got to find a way
To bring some lovin' here today - Ya

Father, father
We don't need to escalate
You see, war is not the answer
For only love can conquer hate
You know we've got to find a way
To bring some lovin' here today

Picket lines and picket signs
Don't punish me with brutality
Talk to me, so you can see
Oh, what's going on
What's going on
Ya, what's going on
Ah, what's going on

In the mean time
Right on, baby
Right on
Right on

Father, father, everybody thinks we're wrong
Oh, but who are they to judge us
Simply because our hair is long
Oh, you know we've got to find a way
To bring some understanding here today
Oh

Picket lines and picket signs
Don't punish me with brutality
Talk to me
So you can see
What's going on
Ya, what's going on
Tell me what's going on
I'll tell you what's going on - Uh
Right on baby
Right on baby
You got the right stuff...

Hi, Everyone.  Happy Monday!

I became a great grandmother for the 5th time last night.   7:45pm  Lyla Elizabeth made her way into the world at 7lbs. 3 ozs., 19 inches.
That's 5 under the age of 3.  That's a lot of little ones.
I am a blessed lady.

I am cheering for the canucks to win the stanley cup just because the Preds lost to them.  After the playoffs, I will go back to hating the Ginger Twins AND Ryan Kesler, and they can go back to losing sleep over my hatred of their very souls.  Boston cashed in on a grudge tonight.

I am getting very excited about next hockey season.  I will be attending a Preds game, very likely with a fellow Q-er.  I am also planning on visiting this Q-er and attending one of his hockey team's games.  I'm so excited to be hitting two hockey games in a season!

Meanwhile, I'm off work tomorrow.  I wish I could take off Wednesday as well, because a couple of local theatres are showing The Lord of the Rings extended versions on the big screen.  I am such a nerd.  I heart Boromir more than I should.  I should get HBO just for Game of Thrones so I can continue to look at his gorgeous self.

I hope the Mavericks get their sh*t together so they can start Novitzki'ing the Heat again.  I heart Dirk too.

It is not a matter of disbelief, it is a matter of knowing better. You can p!ss on my leg, and tell me it is raining, all you want. You will never convince me that it is raining. I know the difference.
