Today marks the 1 year anniversary of my last hair cut. I've reached my goal!! Tomorrow I'll be getting it shaved off right after work.

P.S I know this is a lame post, but like the Honey Badger "I don't give a sh!t"

Also Arian Foster is my fashion soulmate. Look at what he wore last night to the ESPYS

Brian Wilsons was pretty goofy too

Anyone watch the ESPYs last night?  Seth Meyers was hilarious IYAM.  He had a ton of funny jokes, but one stood out for me.  It went something like...."Lebron, Wade, and Bosh all joined up to form the Big 3....in honor of how many quarters they play."  I was rollin'!  Oh yeah, Sloan was smokin' hot last night.  I'd agree to watch Lifetime for a month straight just to hear her fart.

Got my Chef Boyarswol on last night.  Made vegetable lasagna last night and it was a big success.  Never tried it it before, so I was happy about it.  Had enough for leftovers as well which I'll eat for lunch.

Decided to rock out to some old PJ last night, specifically the Ten album.  Man I miss 90's rock.  Don't get me wrong, I like a lot of today's alternative, but nobody does it like the 90's.  NOBODY.  Ok, enough nostalgia.

Haven't been to Subway in awhile.  After reading this FE, I'll go there for dinner.  Gotta try the flatbread.

Today Show drunk cougars in Montreal. High comedy! FYI, they serve wine @ 10 AM in some bistros. (gotta wait until 11-ish for beer) You know... for breakfast, to get your head 'right' before you go about your day of being rude and slightly condescending to American tourists in Old Montreal. Magnifique!

Now that you mention it, that could be it.  I watch a lot of FX so that has to be the culprit.  Glad it happened because PJ is playing up in Alpine Valley, WI in September.  I'm gonna try an kop some tix.

the espy's were hilarious. loved the dirk camp thing. and getting to see venus or serena's tig ol' bitties over and over and over again. and the dude with one leg had me in a puddle of tears. i think game of the year should have been that awesome one that was on after the auburn game that day. that one where the big team was supposed to win, but the little team did in overtime and there was a lot of blue. christ someone help me out here.

tomorrow i am going to galveston with an army vet and a minnesotan who i absolutely cannot help myself from making fun of his accent.

it's been a long time since i had to give an idiot co-worker story since she moved out of my office, but she's in here. and she's being stupid. she just asked my boss to take a picture of her hair so they can see what it looks like when she goes to have it cut............could just show them her head when she gets there. i just...i just can't think about this one too long or my brain singes.

last night was blasty. and what really made the whole thing worth is was hearing  gorgeous black man singing bonnie raitt's "i can't make you love me" better than she does. like he owned that song. and i love my bonnie. his voice was like sexual dynamite.

the lord works in mysterious ways: i am still tipsy i think. no hangover. 2 hours sleep. and on top of it, 100's of left over breakfast tacos in the steam table at work. life. is. good.

Good morning and happy Thursday to you all
First off, we had a gong show of a finish to my hockey game last night.. One fight halfway through the 3rd period, some more chippiness and chirping leading to 3 fights with 1:30 left.. Including our Abercrombie model goalie beating a dud with his blocker.. So the refs just had the scorekeeper run off the rest of the game and sent everyone to the locker rooms with no handshakes.. We did win 6-2, yours truly had a goal and a helper, and I took a high stick to the face that has left me unable chew with the left side of my mouth this morning.. good times

It's emmy nomination day, and how bad are the comedy TV programs out there that the worst sitcom ever made, The Big Bang Theory, gets not one but two actors nominated for best actor?  Ugh.. At least Louis CK got a nomination.

Who want's to see Kelly Brook's t*tties (for Ashlie) in a bikini?

Speaking of trannies, Brian Wilson looked more feminine in his tuxedo onesie than Serena Williams did at the ESPYs last night

ALICE IN CHAINS - ANGRY CHAIR  youtu.be/Zxmt4PX6gto

Sitting on an angry chair
Angry walls that steal the air

Stomach hurts and I don't care
What do I see across the way, hey
See myself molded in clay, oh
Stares at me, yeah I'm afraid, hey
Changing the shape of his face, aw yeah

Candles red I have a pair
Shadows dancing everywhere
Burning on the angry chair

Little boy made a mistake, hey
Pink cloud has now turned to gray, oh
All that I want is to play, hey
Get on your knees, time to pray, oh

I don't mind, yeah
I don't mind, I-I-I
Lost my mind, yeah
But I don't mind, I-I-I
Can't find it anywhere
But I don't mind, I-I-I

Corporate prison, we stay, hey
I'm a dull boy, work all day, oh
So I'm strung out anyway, hey

Loneliness is not a phase
Field of pain is where I graze
Serenity is far away

Saw my reflection and cried, hey
So little hope that I died, oh
Feed me your lies, open wide, hey
Weight of my heart, not the size, oh

I don't mind, yeah
I don't mind, I-I-I
Lost my mind, yeah
But I don't mind, I-I-I
Can't find it anywhere
But I don't mind, I-I-I

Pink cloud has now turned to gray
All that I want is to play
Get on your knees time to pray, boy

 Morning.

So my mom made me this yesterday (for my family b-day dinner).
Yummy goodness, but that wasn't the best part. The best part is watching her make it. She's nuts (I love her). She gets all razzled when cooking (she does it about once a year.....and it's usually for one of the four of us's birthdays.....it's like a raffle....I won this year.)-----cursing, sweaty, anxious------highly entertaining. Last night's pizza making had her cursing over losing some cheese and smoking out everyone in her house while it burned off. Then someone brought up the local lady who cut off her husbands penis and put it in the garbage disposal. My mom couldn't stop giggling. My nephews asked her how she would feel if a man tied his wife up and cut off her boobs. My mom told them...."Well....that sounds much worse." (I love her)..........Poor man. I'm actually surprised he survived---pretty vascular area. Anywhoo (Ha! To those who hate reading anywhoo.....ha ha!), my birthday was great and my family is nuts. LOVE. Them.

Thanks again for all the birthday wishes. They were neat-o (Ha! I probably used another word someone doesn't like. )
Have a swell day!

****Edited because I forgot to include info on Carmaegeddon. YEp! Carmageddon this weekend on the nearby 405 freeway. It's being SHUT DoWN! Do Do Do! The news has been covering it for about a month now, and this weekend it's finally suppose to happen. What am I to do?

Rescue Me rocks - so glad it's back, but I'm sad this is the last season. Anyone watch last night's season premiere? I understand the ESPYs were on, but that's what DVR's are for.

I love Pearl Jam all the time, but I'm a hopeless pacific northewesterner with an deep relationship with 90's music, so there's that.

Harry Potter tomorrow! Again...mixed emotions. I'm super excited to see the movie but I'm so sad it's all over.

Anybody else addicted to TNT lately?

Ok, happy day after your birthday shout out to Teach.
Speaking of, I was captivated with one part of her story in today's post.

"Then someone brought up the local lady who cut off her husbands penis and put it in the garbage disposal."

I was intrigued with the idea, I mean it would probably like option F for me. First I have got to go to Home Depot and price garbage disposals. I mean what, 80 or 90 bucks and 3 or 4 hours of cussing under a kitchen sink versus losing half of everything you own is something to think about. (I know, ending a sentence with a preposition is never not right... whatever. It's my man stick, I can type what I want, beside it wasn't like I typed **** or **** or ****er ****er, I know all that.)

I am totally flabbergasted, I have really been worrying about the band conversion. The chic singer is amazing, she wants to work on updated stuff. So it is making us ease out of the classic oldies cave and venture into the 2000s. We will still be doing tunes people seem to sing along with us in the audience, like Temptations "Ain't too proud to beg', etc., but she wanted to do 'Just Dance' by Lady Gaga. We all sent secret WTF emails to each other, but we said what the heck. Keyboard guy is techno-musicing enough, the rest are guitars and drums. We played it and all grinned at the end. It frigging worked, they put a lead ride in it for me and not boasting at all (promise), I rocked it a little. All I need is one of those zipper things on my face. Kidding. Did some Black-eyed Peas, Cee-lo, and Ben Harper. The chic bounces of the walls while singing, at one point I was working it like I just don't care. This will be interesting. Plus stroke dude showed up, sang some, sounded good. He sang some background vocals and some lead on 4 tunes. He can't play guitar right now, but I told him I got that stuff, just sing. <thumbs up on his bouncing back, it isn't as fast as he wants, but what ever is?>

SO... hope you all are getting through. Later.

I received a reply to my email from my daughter's counselor.  I had asked that, since the director had been transferred out, who was replacing her.  She had originally replied that she had not heard of that.    I replied to her asking which part did she not hear about, the teacher leaving, or the incoming teacher.

She told me that she had not heard of the teacher transferring out, as her name was still on the master schedule.  She did not know who was replacing her, and told me that she was on a "Need to Know" basis.

WTF   How is the name of the incoming teacher a top-secret, "Need to Know" answer for a counselor responsible for helping schedule the students for classes 1 week before school starts?

Good day, bitches.

I still hate America's Got Talent ... but the lead singer from The Fiddleheads is kinda cute in a good ol' boy way.  Aww.

Is anyone else freaked out at the idea of watching birth videos?  My coworker decided to show me parts of her sister's birth video, and I'm about to sign up for a hysterectomy.    I've never seen an unedited, non-TLC video of a child being born, so I wasn't aware of all the ins and outs (no pun).

First of all, yeah, the baby comes out.  Duh.  I was prepared for that.  I was prepared that it would be covered in gelatinous ooze and look like a shaved Ewok.  Newborns are hideous.  I knew that was coming.

However, I was NOT prepared to see her p*ssy explode.    I mean, there was all sorts of nasty stuff all over the place.  Pieces flying everywhere.  It was crazy, nurses on their hands and knees trying to pick up the pieces to put Humpty Dumpty back together again.  It was like the old west California gold-rush ... people were on the floor, sifting through stuff, panning for pieces of her 'gina.

Oh, and THEN, there is all sorts of sh*t that comes out after the baby.  I saw a jellyfish come flying out (although it might have been her placenta) ... I think a set of car keys followed.  Ever wonder what happened to Jamiroquai?  Uh huh.  It was like a reverse blackhole.

Too funny, I saw my Oldest being born and was thrown out of the operating room. Lainey jr- was 9lbs/12.oz delivered traditionally no c-section and his mother at the time was only like a size 6. Why did I grab the doctor's wrist when he took the scalpel to make more room for him to come out

2. Kurt I like your music polls, but I thought that daily polls weren't supposed to be featured? Is it just me?
3. WTF is wrong with people today? some man called today asking if he got a direct deposit. So he gives me this account number that isn't even ours, I ask if he is sure he is calling the right bank...so he starts cussing at me and saying he knows the name of his bank, so then I look up his name doesn't exist. After what seemed like an hour of his calling me all kinds of dirty names he says you tell your boss I am gonna close my account there at Desert Community and open one at American Security. I said Sir, this is American Security. He hung up on me. WTF?? Mother F*cker!!!
4. Yay it's almost Friday and I have a long weekend again!

Here is my song...I don't care if no one likes it...

"Ignition (Remix)"

Now,um,usually I dont do this but uh....
Go head' on and break em off wit a lil' preview of the remix....

No I'm not tryin to be rude,
But hey pretty girl I'm feelin you
The way you do the things you do
Remind me of my Lexus coup
Thats why im all up in yo grill
Tryina get you to a hotel
You must be a football coach
The way you got me playin the field

So baby gimme that toot toot
Lemme give you that beep beep
Runnin her hands through my 'fro
Bouncin on 24's
While they say on the radio...

It's the remix to ignition
Hot and fresh out the kitchen
Mama rollin that body
got every man in here wishin
Sippin on coke and rum
I'm like so what I'm drunk
It's the freakin weekend baby
I'm about to have me some fun

Bounce Bounce Bounce Bounce Bounce Bounce Bounce
Bounce Bounce Bounce

Now it's like murder she wrote
Once I get you out them clothes
Privacy is on the door
Still they can hear you screamin more
Girl I'm feelin what you feelin
No more hopin and wishin
I'm bout to take my key and
Stick it in the ignition

So baby gimme that toot toot
Lemme give you that beep beep
Runnin her hands through my 'fro
Bouncin on 24's
While they say on the radio...

This is the remix to ignition
Hot and fresh out the kitchen
Mama rollin that body
Got every man in here wishin
Sippin on coke and rum
I'm like so what i'm drunk
It's the freakin weekend baby
I'm about to have me some fun

Crystall poppin in the stretch Navigator
We got food every where
As if the party was catored
We got fellas to my left
Hunnies on my right
We bring em both together we got junkin all night
Then after the show its the (after party)
And after the party its the (hotel lobby)
And round about 4 you gotta (clear the lobby)
Then head take it to the room and freak somebody

Can I get a toot toot
Can I get a beep beep
Runnin her hands through my 'fro
Bouncin on 24's
While they say on the radio...

This is the remix to ignition
Hot and fresh out the kitchen

Girl we off in this jeep
Foggin windows up
Blastin the radio
In the back of my truck
Bouncin up and down
Stroke it round and round
To the remix
We just thuggin it out...

Yes, but the women can be wearing thongs. Men have to be wearing boxers at the very least. It all evens out.

Hello out there in FanIQ Land!  If you haven't been paying attention, I have a news flash...baseball is relevant in Pittsburgh in July for the first time since 1997 and I'm actually going through baseball withdrawl.  You heard me right, I am actually looking forward to seeing the Pirates play tomorrow night.  That is all.

So, everyone knows about my general disgust and disdain for Comcast... Now to add insult to injury, I just saw a Directv commercial that says the NFL package will be included at no extra charge this season. I almost just cried a little. I really wish I could move. I WILL probably be spending every Sunday at my moms.

This may or may not make you feel better...I keep getting stuff from DirecTV regarding Sunday Ticket, and I think that it's only free as long as the lockout continues; they won't charge those of us who have automatic renewal until there are actual games (which makes sense). They may have changed something though, to where it's free even if there is a season?

Yea, they still do contracts, and we had to renew ours when we moved last year. It was weird, we tried to do the Movers Direct thing, but something got all messed up during one of the phone calls I had to make..we had the wrong "new" address and I had to call and give them another one, things got cut off, it was just a big fat mess. SO - we ended up having to get an entirely new contract...not that it really matters, I won't ever leave DirecTV - but it would definitely have been helpful in cases such as these.

I just woke up from a nap about 40 minutes ago.  I took this nap on purpose because I am going to see Harry Potter at 12:01 am.  I'm getting to the cinema sometime between 10-10:30 because we have a large group that needs to sit together and some of us rarely get to see each other.  I look back over the years at all the book release parties and the strange set of circumstances that brought the "potterphiles" together.  There are a couple of us who are not able to make it...my friend's Aunt Nancy has alzheimer's and it is pretty advanced at this point.  I love each of th people who will be going to the move so dearly and I will miss the couple that won't be there for whatever reason.  What a long, strange trip it's been.

On a brighter note, I can legally lust over Hermione now!

I go to a ton of midnight showings, and I've never had to stand in line for six friggin hours...no way. I go an hour early, find my seat and play games on my phone. I've been doing this for 20 years. So...maybe I've never had a social life.

Going to a midnight showing is one thing, standing in line for 6+ hours(there were people standing in line at 5 am, in Phoenix. Where the temperature was probably 110 degrees.) is stupid. If the midnight showing was any different than the movie, I can walk up 5 minutes before, and see in a month. Then maybe someone might have a reason to stand in line that long. But since it won't be, then what is the f*cking point?

It depends...to me, and especially with HP, it's just the excitement of the movie coming out. A movie I want to see RIGHT NOW, and go crazy waiting for it to hurry up and come out, I want to see the minute it hits the screen...I can't stand knowing that I can't see it immediately. It's driving me crazy right now that my stupid theater is keeping that from me this year and I have to wait until tomorrow.

I wonder why people were standing in line so early though? Were they not able to pre-order tickets? Fandango, baby. Or were they worried about not being able to find seats or something? Is the theater not showing it on more than one screen? It's just weird to me...I've never personally experienced that before. I always go a little bit early to make sure there are enough seats for me and whoever I go with, but I can't understand why anybody would go that early.

I had a roommate that reserved one of the Harry Potter books at our local Barnes and Nobel. Then the night the book released, he went and stood in line to pick the book up. I told him he was r-worded, cause the book would still be there the next morning, that is the purpose of a reservation. He told me he wanted to get it so he could start reading it. He got back to the apartment about 1:30(when I was getting home from the bars). He put the book on the coffee table and went to sleep, it set there for about a month before he ever opened it. Some people make no sense to me.

lol I'll do that with books too sometimes...but I don't come home and fall asleep. I'll go get them and sit up until 6am reading them. I know I'm weird like that...I just get super excited for new stuff I enjoy to come out.

I hate lines and I hate crowds, I really want to see the new Transformers. But I am waiting on the geeks and nerds, to see it before I go. That is the good thing about Harry Potter being released, now maybe Transformers won't be as busy.

Just to make you jealous, my niece is at the Harry Potter movie right now. A friend of her's dad is a local dentist and has reserved a early showing of each Harry Potter movie for his daughter and her friends.

I didn't stand in line for 6 hours for anything.  Bought my tickets online.  This theatre was also showing it in about 12 out of their 18 theatres.  They handled the crowd very well.  I got there at 9 and just had to stand in line long enough for someone to tear my ticket, which happened fairly quickly.  This place was prepared.  The book releases were just another reason to party and hang out with friends. And to stay up all night reading a book.

The movie was excellent.  Laughed and cried.  I may go see it again tomorrow.  My piece of advice would be not to splurge for 3-d if you have that option.  It didn't make that much of a difference with this film, IMO.

We're not allowed to have Directv or any other satellite provider where I live.  It's in the homeowner's contract.
