Hi. last night I went mountain biking after work again. Sometimes I think i'm a better rider than I really am. I was on concrete going about 20 mph, when I made a hard right and switched to dirt, the dirt was actually sand and was full of rocks. I didnt make it 10 feet before I lost control and flew over my handlebars. I cut my hand, my knee looks like swiss cheese and my wrist hurts, but i'm ok. I'm not having good experiences lately with this mountain biking thing.

Also, I went to Panda Express yesterday, and when I walked in they said "welcome to MY PANDA"  Wtf is that?  Whose panda is it? I thought it was called "Panda Express", why would you say "my panda"  I found it quite annoying actually. If you are going to say "welcome to my panda, then change the name to "my panda"  Thats like going to Taco Bell and them saying "Welcome to my taco" Its dumb, its just dumb.

And this is for all the wonderful ladies  in Q'Ville:

Just give me all your lovin', girl, after all the rubbin'
That's all I ask of you
I'll kiss you anywhere, yes, love, even there
That's all I ask of you

Kissin' you is not enough for me
You know I'm a big boy and big boys have desires
Makin' love is what I wanna do
But I need a true friend to make it come together

Just give me all your lovin', girl, after all the rubbin'
That's all I ask of you
I'll kiss you anywhere, yes, love, even there
That's all I ask of you

I'm not tryin' to put you on the line
But I gotta tell you what's exactly on my mind, girl
My big heart leads me right to you
Every time the phone rings I pray to God that it's you, girl

Every time I close my eyes
A vision of your face always pops into my mind, girl
I will do anything to receive love from you
So show me the way that this could happen soon

I'll be right there on time
'Cause your always for mine
To show me the place

I really love you
I love you, Deja

Just give me all your lovin', girl, after all the rubbin'
That's all I ask of you
I'll kiss you anywhere, yes, love, even there
That's all I ask of you

Let's blow out the candle and see if I can handle
That's all I ask of you
The little things I do, it's just because it's you
That's all I ask of you

See, time is all we need
And time is all we have
To show me the place

I really love you
I love you, Deja

Just give me all your lovin', girl, after all the rubbin'
That's all I ask of you
I'll kiss you anywhere, yes, love, even there
That's all I ask of you

Let's blow out the candle and see if I can handle
That's all I ask of you
The little things I do, it's just because it's you
That's all I ask of you

Yeah, all these things that I promise
I'll do 'em all for you...

Happy motha fv**in' Friday,

Football is FINALLY back.  I couldn't care less that it's the preseason variety.  It was nice seeing some pigskin on the boob tube again.  The Ravens are in trouble offensively.  They better hope that defense is still among the elite.

Drinking with cops is always fun because they tell the best stories.  It's like drinking and listening to my police scanner, only better.  Heard a hilarious story last night about a crossdresser that got pulled over.  Let's just say dude sounded like Andy Dick meets Rupaul and he had a lot of contraband.  I was literally in stitches.

Anyone else watch Jersey Shore last night.  The Sitch better watch himself.  If he breaks Snook's heart, there will be hell to pay.  Good to see drunk Ronnie back.  It makes for highly entertaining TV.  Can't wait until he KOs Mike.  Ok, enough of my soap opera.

Think I may have a new #2.  Ladies and gents, I present Nikki Whelan.

oh jesus. last birthday of the week last night. i'd forgotten about the steely dan character party. we didn't show up until 11ish but it was the place called the last concert cafe. it's a little hole in the wall looking tex-mex restaurant when you first walk up and you have to knock on the big red door to get in. once inside, there is a massive bar and enough restaurant seats to hold maybe 11 people. outside is a huge patio lined with crafters sitting at their tables arting and trying to sell stuff. keep walking and there is a huge stage standing behind a large yard of sand, picnic tables, hippies, hula hoops, poi, a station where you could make a tie-dyed shirt, a drum circle, a rockin blues band and the hang of unconcerned weed smell on the air. it was heaven.

i'm 93% sure my birthday is the next one in my immediate life. so i can breathe easy for a while. but it gets right back in gear as my dad's and sister's is the day after mine. heeeere we go again!

the fez - steely dan
No I'm never gonna do it without the fez on (Oh no)
No I'm never gonna do it without the fez on (Oh no)
That's what I am, Please understand
I wanna be your holy man

"Nite and Day" Al B. Sure

I can tell you how I feel about you night and day
How I feel about you (No, no)
I can tell you how I feel about you night and day
How I feel about you

I'll love you more in the rain or shine
And makin' love in the rain is fine
A love so good and I call it mine
Love is blind

I can tell you how I feel about you night and day
How I feel about you (No, no, no)
I can tell you how I feel about (Woo) you night and day
How I feel about you (Ho, oh...)

Believe me when I say that I do care (I can tell you)
I'd like to run my fingers through your hair (I can tell you)
Baby, if you left I could not bear (I can tell you)
Please don't share

Do you love me, please let me know (I can tell you)
Don't hide the feeling, just let it show (I can tell you)
A feeling so deep that comes within (I can tell you)
What kind of love am I in, ooh...

(Chorus)

If you and I were one, girl
The love we'd share would be so fun
Just take my hand and you'll see, girl
That we'd take off into another world

I can tell you how I feel about you (Ooh) night and day (Uh-huh)
(Uh-huh, uh-huh, uh)
I can tell you how I feel (Woo) about you night and day
(I'll love you more in the rain or shine)

I can tell you how I feel about you night and day
I can tell you how I feel about you night and day

For everyone who thinks the SEC is overrated, then please remove your head from your ass. It's like minor league NFL football. There's no weak teams in the conference this year. Even if Auburn still had Newton the repeat would be tough. Vanderbilt might be the only team who has no chance of winning the conference, but trust me you wouldn't want to play Vandy for the hell of it.

Miss St. is getting a lot of hype this season, but really they get the same projection every year, and they fall flat on their face at some point. They're not a championship team, however the hype-machine is in full force. The Bulldogs are Auburn's first real challenge. I will predict a victory over them right now...before the first game of the season is even played. I'm not sure that the Auburn Tigers are a championship team like I was at this time a year ago, however 8 wins seems very doable, and I believe we'll beat Bama again this season. Champs or not, we still hate you Alabama.

I'm not sure what toilet paper and washing detergent has to do with an elephant, but then again this is Bama fans that were talking about here.

Arkansas just got significantly weaker with the loss of Knile Davis.  There are plenty of teams in the conference that have virtually no shot at winning it IMO.  The teams that come to mind are Kentucky, Vandy, Auburn, Ole Miss, and Tennessee.  The SEC has been dominant as of late, but college football goes in cycles.  It won't last forever.

I come to you today in distress mode. The day that I'd dreaded for about 18 months has arrived. Texas Governor and undercover mob boss "Slick" Rick Perry is about to throw his hat in the ring and announce his intentions to run for President in 2012. Now I understand how young Luke Skywalker felt. Need I remind anyone how the last time a #1 man from our great state worked out in the White House? Tickets to Canada anyone...anyone

I could be here all day on FanIQ!! Also I could establish and answer a hundred polls, but I'm going 2 get outside soon.
Beautiful(Destin/SantaRosaBeach) Florida weather (mid90s),everytime I hit the beach, would like 2 see some Thongs of the Day but too many tourists covered in oil.
Also could use a FrenchMaid(for housecleaning).

MLB/NFL/NCAF gotta love it!! -- During the week I got into Tropicana Field to see Tampa Rays beat KC Royals 8-7, KC led 4-3 entering the 9th,M.Cabrera 3run shot gave Royals 7-3 cushion, however in the bottom of the last frame,ALL 7 hitters reach base - ?Sam Fuld?capped the comeback w/WALKOFF triple and errant relay allowed him to scamper home for the gamewinner in an improbable finish.
NCAF - Auburn/Alabama, Florida/Fla.St - few more weeks, of course they'll all make a bowl apperarance.

One game at a time before you know it'll be winter... that's from some 70s tune..

PEACE ALL!

We won our softball game last night 12-4 which means we play for the Championship next Thurs.  This is the co-ed league, the one in which we are something like 34-2 over the past 3 yrs (playoffs included).

The team we played is our biggest rival and every time we play them, they bitch and complain and whine and moan..... I understand the competitiveness and the passion and the fact that they want to beat us soo badly (they are 1-7 against us over the past 3 yrs), but, at the same time, their sportsmanship sucks and it's pathetic!  They yell and complain to the umps every time they don't get a call....it's sad!

Last night, I hit a ball in the LCF gap that rolled to the fence. The HR fence is about 290 feet from home plate, as I'm rounding first heading towards second, the second basemen is straddling the base, NOT allowing me to touch it as i'm trying to get to third......the ball was still being retrieved in the OF, so, it's not like he was waiting for the throw in. I throw my hands up and yell "INTERFERENCE" as I try not to push him over (contact is not allowed) and proceed running to third, I round third, heading towards home and I am tagged out 2 feet from the plate.  The ump grants me third base due to the interference........their team starts yelling and screaming "this is the playoffs. That call sucked. WTF. How can you call interference?!?!"  Um, HELLO!  You're 2B was standing over the base, not allowing me to round it. Plus, the only players on their team that would of seen what was going on would of been their C, P & 1B as every one else had their back to the infield, watching the OF's go after the ball........the ones yelling and screaming, were the ones that didn't see what happened (their SS and OF's).  When we told their team to STFU, their 2B said that he can straddle the bag and that it wasn't illegal what he did.......ummmmm, DUMBA$$, you can only do that if there was going to be a play at 2B.

It was a joke and sad and then they were harassing the ump after the game..........IDIOTS, you lost by 8 runs, that 1 play did not cost you the game!  I HATE playing against people like that!

Any ways, it's FRIDAY!  Time for the weekend!   WOOOWHOOO!   Hope everyone has a good one and be safe!!

i had blackberries as big as plums on the bushes this morning.  i said HAD blackberries. while i'm picking a few from one side i notice that the branches are shaking. something is attacking the bush.  birds? rabbits? NOOOOOOOOOO,  please note the golden furred son of a gun to the left.    yup. he is on the driveway by the retaining wall picking his breakfast off the low hanging branches.  degree of ripeness was not an issue. he got them all. best guess,  2 branches completely stripped of a couple dozen berries. then he had the nerve to bark at me cuz he wanted mine.  BAST*RD!!!!!!!!

My husband can't keep a surprise to save his life - but it's not always such a bad thing. My bday's coming up, and he's excited because he's actually going to be in town this year for it. I got my watch I've been wanting...it's beautimus! And guess what else? We're going to see Blink in September!!! I debated finding someone to bring with us for the 3rd ticket, but thanks to Becky's reassurance I've decided to go ahead and bring our kiddo with us. I'm so frickin excited! I can't wait.

You'll probably be hearing nothing but Blink and My Chemical Romance (who'll be there with them) from me for the next month
I got no regret right now (I'm feelin this)
The air is so cold and low (I'm feelin this)
Let me go in her room (I'm feelin this)
I wanna take off her clothes (I'm feelin this)
Show me the way to bed (I'm feelin this)
Show me the way you move (I'm feelin this)
F*** it, it's such a blur (I'm feelin this)
I love all the things you do (I'm feelin this)

Fate fell short this time
Your smile fades in the summer
Place your hand in mine
I'll leave when I wanna

Where do we go from here
Turn all the lights down now
Smiling from ear to ear (I'm feelin this)
Our breathing has got too loud (I'm feelin this)
Show me the bedroom floor (I'm feelin this)
Show me the bathroom mirror (I'm feelin this)
We're taking this way too slow (I'm feelin this)
Take me away from here (I'm feelin this)

Fate fell short this time
Your smile fades in the summer
Place your hand in mine
I'll leave when I wanna
(x2)

This place was never the same again
After you came and went
How can you say you meant anything different
To anyone standing alone
On the street with a cigarette
On the first night we met

Look to the past
And remember and smile
And maybe tonight
I can breathe for awhile
I'm not in the scene
I think I'm fallin' asleep
But then all that means is
I'll always be dreaming of you

Fate fell short this time
Your smile fades in the summer
Place your hand in mine
I'll leave when I wanna
(x5)

Are we alone, do you feel it?
So lost and disillusioned
(x4)

Travis, Mark, and Tom...here we come!

what's up bitches
good thing I made today a casual friday as I have spent the last hour working on a scissor lift and am covered in dirt, grease, hydraulic fluid remnants, and some battery terminal cleaner.
Thursday night hockey playoffs started off well last night with a 4-1 win.  It was especially nice since the team we beat is a bunch of jackoffs with someone's cow of a gf/wife standing up in the stands screaming and talking sh*t..  Needless to say she took quite a berating as we came off the ice and it's a good thing there were no kids present.
The Broncos are who we thought they are.  Good opening drive by the starters only to fail in the red zone.. I was pissed rookie TE Julius Thomas didn't get a look.  From all indications in camp, this guy is going to be a monster. The second string O-line is garbage. And as a whole, I don't know if this team is built to run a John Fox power running game system.. I have an odd sense, we are going to be seeing a LOT of 3rd and 7+. And I'm still concerned about teams running the ball up the middle.

At the beginning of the year, Rockies manager Jim Tracy said they were going to be a lot better this year in one run games.. They're 17-22 and dropped two in a row to split their series against Cincinnati..

I see your Nikki Whelan and I raise you with an Annalynne Mccord covered in alien c*m

Go Irish!
You're counting out the National Champions? Auburn has a better shot than any of those teams you listed them with. The media has has ruled Auburn out, and sadly college football fans are buying it. We have a much better shot than anyone you listed above. You could have put Miss St or Arkansas in the list, but you went with Auburn.

If there's anything that will keep an SEC team out of the NC game, then it would be because they're going to beat each other up getting there. The SEC has been the most dominate conference since the old SWC folded. There has been a champion from the SEC in every decade since the 1950's.(Probably further back than the 50's.) The domination isn't as new as everyone thinks.

I don't doubt that Auburn will surprise some folks this season, but they lost way too much IMO to win the SEC.  Cam is a once in a generation type player.  Replacing that is a tall order.  Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Auburn lose more than half their starters?

I don't disagree with the domination shown by the SEC as of late and I certainly wouldn't be shocked to see an SEC team playing for it all.  I'm just pointing out that all domination comes to an end, especially in college football.

On a side note, there is a lot of chatter about ND, Texas, and OU teaming up to form a new conference.  Combine that with the A&M/FSU talk to the SEC and the landscape of college football could be in for a major overhaul.

Good Afternoon, Everybodee!

It's Friday.   That is all.

Oh, and I found out the themes for the upcoming band shows this year.  They're performing 2 different ones.  One is "Party like a Rock Star"  and the other is "Missing Man".   I'm looking forward to what the director has in store for the Missing Man.  She has told me that they are going to be going all out honoring veterans and current military.  I believe the band is 'adopting' a military person  (I think he is a brother to one of the school counselors who is going to be shipping out, or has shipped out), and I think there is a plan to 'adopt' a veteran "grand-parent" to honor as well.  We shall see how this goes.

Yeah, it was pre season, but eat that, b*tches!

I found a cool trick to these hydros the doc gave me.  I cut 'em all in half, and I can just run around eatin them F'ers like skittles now.

So, the Republicans had some kind of debate thingy last night and got into a bit of a p*ss*ng match.  I want you all to understand that I really don't give two sh*ts about their stupid F'n debates, but the headline was plastered all over my yahoo home page last night.  Thing is, I despise all of them sorry f*cks....Democrats, Republicans, Independants, makes NO difference, so I don't wanna hear about it when one of them gets upset because his/her d*ck is smaller than somebody else's.  You want my respect, go knock the f*ck outta the other guy and SHOW him your d*ck is bigger.  Thats a start.  Then you gotta quit stealin all my shit.  Also realize that if you have never read the constitution, your a$$ shouldn't be running for office.  Pay particular attention to those pesky little attachments known as "Amendments", especially the first ten or so.  When you got all that sh*t down, come ask me for a vote.  Good thing election comes right after hunting season, that way I can run you through a little quiz on the Second Amendment while your beggin for my vote.

(I seem to personally "find" money during the game as well....strange coincidence.)

I put loses in quotation marks for a reason. I don't believe that it gets "lost," I believe that they steal it and claim that they "lost" it. These beliefs are also fed by the fact the entire banking industry is nothing but a bunch of crooks. I rate the banking industry right up there with lawyers, politicians, and insurance companies as the scum of the earth.

Mike, I would give you respect, but I can not read your post today, for fear that you are discussing last nights Cowboy game. NFL network is showing it tonight and I have it set to record. I am doing everything in my power to avoid finding out what happened.

You're correct. Auburn did lose a whole lot of players. (Especially on defense and offensive line) However they're being replaced by 4 and 5 star recruits. It would be a surprise to see them get back, but they're much better than the bottom feeders of the SEC. Replacing Cam and Nick Fairley isn't easy, and could take years to mold a new player into that type of player. If the secondary isn't a whole lot better than it was a year ago, then Auburn likely won't even win the western division.

Auburn wasn't a great team through their first 4 games last season, but by winning those games close they became better for it. They weren't the championship team right of the bat, however those games proved to them that anything was possible, and those same first four will set up this season too. It should be a rebuilding season, but Auburn has talent in the right places. We're not the same team from a year ago. I do still think the pieces are there to have a great year.

I could handle a losing season, (Although I don't think we'll have one) but as long as we beat Alabama then I can find some happiness.

{Side Note} I can see the power conference thing taking shape. I'm not sure that's better for college football, but it would be interesting to see. For years I've wanted to see Notre Dame enter the Big-10. Conference affiliation or not, the Irish tend to play a tough schedule. It's good to chat with a college football fan. I like it slightly better than the NFL, but I really just love football.

It's a different one from the one I wanted for years - it's the Fossil that's actually been showing up on this site in the little Fan Gear ads - I saw it awhile ago and fell in love with it, decided I wanted it instead of the first one. It's smaller and a little more feminine than the other one, and the face is pacific blue (the lighter blue of the Seahawks colors), with a Seahawks logo on it. I  it!

Today's story of My Uninteresting Life:

Yesterday after I got home, I found about a promotional event for the upcoming Baltimore Grand Prix as the "Lima Restaurant and Bar" in downtown DC. It's short notice but I figure hey, IndyCar fans in DC have to be my people. So, I schlep downtown, walk past a bunch of swanky buildings (this was in the K Street/lobbyist a**hole section of town). I find the place, and it starts fine. There's a show car outside with grid girls, always a plus. There was just one problem...

Turns out "Lima Restaurant and Bar" is actually a swanky nightclub. The clientele were in nice "going out" clothes. I was in jeans and a t-shirt. Also, there weren't many people checking out the show car. Despite this, I took a breath and walked inside. It went something like this...

/walks into club
/stares at the massive crowd and hears the deafening cacophony
/walks right out

Oh well. I tried.

The storm system that came through earlier has caused a great deal of damage in the area.  1/3 of all the homes in the area are without power right now.  It is going to take several DAYS to get it restored to everyone.  An interstate is closed because power lines fell across it.  Up north in Indianapolis, Sugarland was due to have a concert.  Instead, the stage collapsed, killing at least four people and injuring at least 22.

I saw Will Power's interview right before they called the race.  If everyone was screaming on the radio saying the track is too slippery to race, why the hell do you throw the green flag?  NASCAR tried that stunt to begin The Winston back in 2001, and they went into turn 1 and 3/4 of the field spun out in the rain.

The explanation was that there isn't a direct connection between the drivers and Race Control, and that the line of communication is driver-team coordinator-pit observers-Race Control (yes, I'm aware how asinine that sounds, but that was the official explanation). While I commend Barnhart for admitting his mistake, but his credibility is clearly shot with the drivers and teams, and he has at go by the end of the season at minimum. Nothing less than the credibility of the series is as stake.

What sucks is if the rain had held off, we would've had Hunter-Reay, Servia, and Dixon all within a second of each other with 20 laps left. C'est la vie.

Two of my friends were there as well.  They were up in the seats, though.  I was going to go, but just had too many commitments this weekend.
jack Jackson played at the Fall Fair and did the gospel hour yesterday.  His son works with Sugarland and was apparently trying to help secure the equipment even as it was being tossed around in the storm.  He was lucky to have escaped with bruises and cuts, and of course, a heavy heart that he couldn't do more.  We had a moment of silence for everyone affected.

That line of storms was a beast.  The stage just could not have withstood the wind gusts.  There is nothing anyone could've done.  The storm came up so quickly, and I don't think people realized it would be as bad as it was.  The first day of school here was cancelled today because the electrical infrastructure was so badly damaged.  Our state fair starts later this week, with many concerts just like that one planned.
