alphabetical order.   pretty sure you could start a team with any of these picks.
1. Tom Brady  2. Drew Brees  3. Peyton Manning  4. Aaron Rodgers  5. Ben Roethlisberger
#2 | 1064 days ago

This is tough to do now, I could also make a legit case for Rodgers and Ryan, but someone had to be left off the list.  Any combination of the 7 (my list + Rodgers and Ryan) are among the best.
1. Peyton Manning  2. Drew Brees  3. Tom Brady  4. Philip Rivers  5. Ben Roethlisberger
#3 | 1064 days ago

Granddad, I didnt want you to put them in abc order, I can do that, you know. lol

Soo, this was hard. It pained me to put Brady before Manning but I think I had to give him the nod. Though I wanted to put Vick on the list, I really couldn't without seeing him in about 5 regular season games this season. Stupid Ben got the nod over Brees but it was my toughest decision, mighty close call.

I couldn't put Ben in my top 5...I just couldn't. I'm hoping that his success has had more to do with his O-line than with his talent....just because I can't stand him.

I couldn't rank Rodgers very high because the 4 I have before him have proven more and have been awesome longer. I may be able to rank him higher some day but not yet.

Rodgers over Rivers because of one category.... Super Bowl titles

His success has come from being able to extend the play.  Believe me, the Steelers have had O-line issues since Super Bowl XL.  I find it sad that it was vastly improved last year as a patchwork line with a rookie starting at center.

Eh - I've never been able to rank like that (look at Marino vs someone like...oh...Namath). Plus, if that were the case I'd have to have Ben before Manning. Vomit.

Ben, Eli and Phillip all drafted in 2004. Roethlisberger, a starter since early in his rookie year, has thrown for the most yards and touchdowns of the group and won the most games. But he’s also been sacked 192 times, nearly as many as Manning (120) and Rivers (77) combined. We've seen him bent around, hit hard, and his face was smashed in last year. He's also one of the most rushed QB's in the league. Something tells me the offensive line doesn't have all that much to do with his numbers. Unless we're talking about sacks and hurries. But on the other hand under pressure is where Ben has proven to be great, so yeah it could be the offensive line.

Super Bowl win is a team thing, impossible to rank a QB on a trophy the team won. Although I do agree Rodgers over Rivers any day.

I really don't want to argue with a bunch of Steelers fans about Ben and how great he is. As you can all see by my comment it was more wishful thinking than anything else about his success being due to his offensive line. I don't watch Steelers games if I can help it, so of course my knowledge on the subject is limited.

He's not in my top 5...sorry. I didn't mean to start anything

I left Manning off the list just because I think he's a little iffy right now. I took "active" literally.

I wasn't arguing with you.  You're free to your opinion.  I was only pointing out that our O-line really hasn't been all that good for a number of years.  Carry on.

It takes a team to win a Superbowl. Maybe its because you all have a personal bias against him, but stats dont lie. Philip Rivers is the best QB in the game today, and hes only getting better.

I think there will be a couple of surprises this year. Not everything in the NFL is so predictable. Stafford has been hit with injuries in 2 years. If he can stay healthy, who knows. I expect Bradford to have a better year than last year and he was not bad last year. Brady and Manning are getting up there. Don't think their Head Coaches don't know that. As much as I don't like him, Vick will probably have a great year.
And I think Rivers will explode with success.

'Twas tough leaving Vick off.  Hopefully he uses me leaving him off as motivation to dominate this season.  After all, he's on two of my fantasy squads with one more draft tomorrow night.

By the Way, Cutler is so far ahead of every other QB I decided it wasn't fair to include him.  And by far ahead, I mean nobody can throw picks and get sacked like my boy....except for Tony Romo.
