Despite all the talk about Always Sunny yesterday, I still forgot about it. I'd been playing video games for about 5 hours straight by the time Nyce reminded me. I recorded it but haven't watched it yet.

Happy Friday,

Sh** is all messed up today.  I'm hungover, tired, and MY PETS HEADS ARE FALLING OFF!  I may have stayed out a bit too long last night.  Thank the high heavens for a half day, although a wedding rehearsal isn't the ideal place to nurse said hangover.  But I digress....

Pat Bruno, a highly respected Chicago food critic, was fired from the Sun-Times after 27 years and he went out with like a G.  He got the news from a mid level employee, not one of the higher ups.  He had this to say..."I've known (publisher) John Barron for 28 years," Bruno said. "All he had to do is pick up the phone and tell me himself. He didn't have the balls to do that." 

Missed It's Always Sunny last night, but I heard it was fantastic.  Will watch Sunday before the Bears play the Saints.  Speaking of the Bears, Urlacher was back at practice yesterday and will play this week.  Something tells me he's going to play like a man possessed.  Expect a brilliant performance from the face of this Bears team.  

I'm going to end this post with a corny joke.  Either it's actually funny or I'm way too out of it.  You be the judge.

A woman has twins, and gives them up for adoption. One of them goes to a family in Egypt, and is named "Ahmal." The other goes to a family in Spain ; they name him "Juan." Years later, Juan sends a picture of himself to his birth mother. Upon receiving the picture, she tells her husband that she wishes she also had a picture of Ahmal. Her husband responds, "They're twins! If you've seen Juan, you've seen Ahmal."

 I've been awarded a new position in the family "The Jerk" everything that requires jerkish behavior will be directed to me and i'll have to behave in manner that the thing/person doesn't bothers us again. I'm renowned for my shameless and emotionless behavior but it's official now.

 For all you SunnyHeads in here (without getting too spoiler-ish) wouldn't a cameo by PepperJack have been kinda nice paired up with the "all-timer" performance delivered by Roxy? we really need an open thread every Friday to go over the show NFL live style. When the 'Don Cheadle' gag is just a throw-away line, this season really has the potential of being a '96 Bulls type of thing.

...speaking of Baseball, has anyone been paying attention to what Cliff Lee has been doing over the last two months?  The dude is in a Sandy Koufax zone right now, in his last 65 innings pitched hes given up like 38 hits, 4 earned runs and 8 walks...and i'm not talking PS3 here, i'm talking real life sh**.  He was once 5-5 with a 3.62 ERA this year, and now hes a friggin possessed to the likes which few have ever seen. He has won 7 straight starts, and his Era is down to 2.38.  Pimp of the month.

 Morning.

Despite my wishful thinking and hoping, it's Friday and not Saturday. I literally had to pry my eyelids open. I'm drained.......completely and should not be judged for my behavior today when teach mode turns off at approximately 3:21 p.m. 

I'm losing one of my students. I have 31, so I'm over. As a result I had to give one up. If people could only see how this goes down. I'm pretty much sure it goes down like sports trades. When I was a newbie, I'd make sure to give up a "top prospect" when this happened. I'm not a newbie anymore. I look at what you already have. "Hey, you only have 2 "special" kids? Hmmmm......you need another. You have two choices----young boy who takes 30 minutes writing his name while playing with his curly hair or Pull Up Boy? Your choice." Surprisingly Pull Up Boy was not picked. I'll miss the curly haired boy, but that's how the game works. There was more strategy and words----------made the new principal crack up. Not sure why......I think it was the nick names I used. Either way ....it's done and I now have one less...............starting Tuesday. 

New male teach has no idea what he's walking into. I did find out he's from Michigan. We're a staff of all ladies, we'll find out more. 


*****Oh....and I'd like Drew Doughty to sign now. Without him, I think the Kings will still be OK, but with him ----------------I get the tingles just thinking about how the season should go. Sign with the F*c*ing team please!

 Random Thoughts...

1.  None of you sons of b**ches answered me yesterday when i asked if you read my movie reviews...so eat my **s.   I watched Shawshank Redemption last night.  Ill keep the review to myself. 

2.  Norse...thanks for the trade.  I'm not sure if the trade went through, but i accepted it.   Even though i i think it was a pity trade ill take it...I'm not proud.  M**herf**king autodraft....

3.  One of the birthday parties i went to over the weekend was at "The Others" house.  After we ate everyone decided to play a game called The Cheese Touch...yes its based off Diary of a Wimpy Kid...f**k you, don't judge.  All the kids were playing it so a few of us adults jumped in.  One of the questions was "If you could live in any one other country what would it be?"  My sister in law...the same one that decided to upskirt everyone with her huge FUPA last christmas...said Europe.  I laughed.  A lot.  I figured it was one of the kids because the answers were all over the place....Tennessee, Hawaii, wherever the Yankees play, etc.  Until i realized it was hers.  Then i laughed harder.  Ref**kingtarded.   Evidently based on a phone call the gf got last night i hurt some feelings.  Good.  Maybe i wont ever have to go back.  Stupid hicks.

4.  My cat p**sed on my computer desk last night.  Her fat gargantuan a$$ missed the litter box AGAIN.  Is it true Chinese restaurants serve cat?  I wonder how much cat meat goes for per pound...cause I'm sitting on a goldmine and am about to cash out.

5.  I hope I double asterisked all my no no words...wouldn't want jess to have to bring the law down on her next mod two days in a row.

6.  Today im thinking a Filter boob invasion is in order!  Give me boobs!

The Rockies game was awful last night.. Troy Renck, one of the Rox beat writers tried blaming the mistakes on youth rather than talent... I'm gonna have to go ahead and disagree as some of the decisions were worse than what I see in my men's league..

I caught a 30 second clip of the "hit" new NBC show Whitney yesterday.... Despite what the laugh track had to say, there weren't belly laughs after every delivered line.. ugh.. What an awful, awful program.. And the dude in that show was awesome as a child molester in an episode of Workaholics.. It's true what they say, sometimes you just have to abandon all pride and self respect when the all mighty dollar is involved.

I need to watch Red State this weekend, I've heard nothing but glowing reviews from my trusted fellow movie snobs

WASTED TALENT took 2 more last night, 6-4 and 16-1, improving our record to 7-0.  Last game of the year is next Thursday against the 6-0-1 team.  We win, we take first, we lose, we take second........playoffs start in a few weeks and then it's hibernation for me until next May as far as sports goes  

21 more days until the NHL!!!

It's been in the mutha-fo@kin 50's here lately - brrrrrrrrr!  Back to the 70's and 80's next week!   Gotta love Chicago! The only city where you could possibly have 3-4 seasons happen within a 24 hour time span!

Happy Friday.

Pressed for time today to get a lot of errands done.  Liquor store, gas, bank and to find gift wrap/cards.
4 lunchtime traffic accidents in the area, left me redirected to Walmart.  I go to Walmart around once a year.
I am now reminded of why.    Parked on the grocery side.   The cards were on the opposite side of the store.
No one that worked there could tell me where the section was I needed.  I walked around 90K sq ft of that place,
to find virtually no envelopes remained with the greeting cards.  !000 different cards to choose from, but good luck
finding a envelope to fit.   Freaking old ketchup pack stealing, envelope pilferers, bad driving old people.

2. Haven't been able to be around for a few days, it's been hell of a week. My dad is a diabetic and has always controlled it with his diet. Wednesday he had to start taking insulin. When it comes to needles he's a baby So it's been interesting teaching him how to give himself the shot.
3. Steelers better show a better outing this weekend. In the form of a win. (sorry Jess)
4. Bobby has two games this weekend and I have three to umpire. So, I will be drinking till morning.

Victor Ortiz will try to defeat Floyd Mayweather tonight. Personally I've quit betting against Mayweather, but Ortiz has got the goods to beat him. It's speed against power, a boxer against a brawler. I cannot, nor will I bet against Mayweather, however he's facing the most dangerous fighter he's faced in at least 5 years, if not the toughest ever. Ortiz is young and very strong. I'm not predicting a Mayweather loss, but I do think he'll hit the floor for the 1st time in his career.

NCAA Football

I didn't expect Miss St. to win against LSU, but I did think they'd give them a helluva fight. That happened last night in my opinion. In the end the better team won. LSU showed they have a defense that is among the best. I'm still not convinced that their offense is good enough to win the championship, however that defense will always keep them in it.

Boise State takes on Toledo tonight on ESPN. This should be another great game. Toledo played Ohio St. very tough, and although I think that Boise St. is better than Ohio St. the game should still be good.

Ohio St who was played close by Toledo will be playing Miami. It doesn't really matter who wins this game, because neither of these two traditional powers are very good. That doesn't mean this won't be a good game. Both teams are just on the outside of being back among the elite.

The best game of the weekend, at least by the experts will be Oklahoma vs FSU. Honestly I believe the Oklahoma is going to destroy them. I think at #5 FSU is ranked too high. With that being said the Noles have dominated recruiting in the state of Florida. Call me crazy but I think that had a lot to do with why Urban Meyer left the Florida Gators.

Speaking of the Gators, they'll be playing the Vols in what has been a great SEC match-up. Whereas this might not be the big game in once was, it will definitely be a good game. Will Muschamp is playing a rival for the first time, and both teams have looked good so far this season.

Auburn will be going into Clemson. They proved to be a tough opponent for Auburn last season, but have struggled so far this season. There is something to be said about holding back against weak teams, however Wofford stayed in the game with Clemson in the first half last week. Auburn has continued to improve. The Utah St. game and the Miss St. game looked like two different Auburn teams. I'm not sure how Auburn will look against Clemson, but I think Auburn will win. For anyone betting, take the points with Auburn. Safest pick of the week.

 I just realized that Saturday is going to be very busy, in that "single in 20s with no real responsibilities" way. This is the tentative schedule:

Late Morning: grocery store/liquor store
Noon: Watch Penn State game
4ish:  Work out
7ish: Head to bar to watch OU/FSU game
11ish: Get back to watch IndyCar Japan race until I pass out

Next week I plan to do some poll making, both here and in the sports area. Hold your excitement.

'A League of Their Own' is on AMC right now (just started a little bit ago), I'll always watch it because it's a great movie. And Jon Lovitz is somehow kind of hilarious for a few moments, and that's hard to do.

Football tomorrow and football Sunday. Good match-ups, and then I think of the worst when it comes to Chiefs vs. Lions. I'm scared.

4.  My cat p**sed on my computer desk last night.  Her fat gargantuan a$$ missed the litter box AGAIN.  Is it true Chinese restaurants serve cat?  I wonder how much cat meat goes for per pound...cause I'm sitting on a goldmine and am about to cash out.

5.  I hope I double asterisked all my no no words...wouldn't want jess to have to bring the law down on her next mod two days in a row.

 Good Afternoon, Everybodee!

Well, I heard back from our district superintendent that he plans to meet with us next week  (He's done good on his word in the past, so I believe him.)   Either we are seeing him, or his assistant.

Then I get an email from his assistant (ok, we're getting him) that he can meet with us next week depending upon setting a date that works for all of us.    This guy is the one who "Investigated" an incident last year dealing with the principal, band director and colorguard.  During his "investigation" he didn't even get details from the director or the students.  Ain't nobody got asked questions or anything.   All I know is he "spoke" with the principal and the matter is closed, with him not able to disclose any details of their meeting as it is a personal issue.  Well, we'll see how this goes.

Tonight, our football team has a Bye week, so I'm helping with the fireworks for another school's homecoming tonight.

     So, you thought you'd gotten away huh? No way. Not on a "Finally Friday" (and I do mean FINALLY). I hope everybody gets to do, see, and or get whatever you planned over the weekend. As for me, I just want some football. From High School (JR's Homecoming tonight, my alma mater's rivalry week tomorrow), to college (Texas v UCLA, Oklahoma v Florida St. for starters), all the way to NFL Sunday. The hometown boys are headed to South Florida to face the Dolphins...2-0 anyone? Who knows? Anything is possible with Gary Kubiak on the sidelines.
     In closing, I want to share another "Joke that Killed the Filter Error"...Don't  blame me, Kat & Ashlie created this monster.
Three avid football fans, one of the Miami Dolphins, one for the Dallas Cowboys, and the other a Houston Texans fan stood on the top of a huge cliff. To show his true loyalty the Dolphins fan shouts out, "THIS IS FOR THE MIAMI DOLPHINS!!" and threw himself off the cliff. Not to be outdone, the Texans fan screamed at the top of his lungs, "THIS IS FOR THE HOUSTON TEXANS!!"

 Hello out there in FanIQ Land!  My head is still clogged up and I sound like garbage.  I think the apocalypse may be coming.  Last night Ross Ohlendorf gave up 2 runs in 7 innings for the Bucs out in L.A., pitched very well.  But that's not the end of the world concern, he also hit a 3-run homer, and it wasn't a cheapie off the foul pole either!  My boss said she wanted to dress up in a transporter uniform for a week and go take patients like we do.  I asked her "are you sure you wanna do that?"  She said yes she did...boy are you in for a rude awakening if and when you do, woman!  Don't say I didn't warn you.  Our ER is under construction and they're diverting patients around the mulberry bush instead of straight in the main entrance.  The guards outside are hoarding wheelchairs and are getting mad at us for taking them when they have 8 or 9 sitting there.  Well I got a patient going somewhere right now, and not waiting for someone who may be coming in with chest pains 3 hours from now, so I win.  It's Friday and it was pay day.  Sit back, relax, and tell me who said it!

 I forgot the funniest thing of the day...I saw one of my co-workers taking a guy back to short stay and she was wearing a mask.  I wondered why.  I walk into x-ray and even with my cold I could smell that horrible rotten aroma.  2 other transporters were in there and one said "I sprayed like crazy in here already!"  The tech in the holding area told the girl wearing the mask that Captain Crapabed was her patient when there were 2 going back to short stay.  She didn't have a name so he told her that was her guy to get him out of there.  When I went to introduce myself to my patient, I said as I always do "Hi, I'm Bryan, I'm here to take you back to your room."  His response..."what the hell stinks?"

 Wow!  Shooting off fireworks tonight was fun.  We didn't wire them up to a board and launch them from behind a barrier.  This time we hand fired them.  Fuse hanging out of the tube, lighting them with a flare.  Even through my ear plugs, my ears rang. 

We were set up to launch some during the Star Spangled Banner, 2 sets.  One for "the Rockets Red Glare", and one for "the Bombs Bursting in Air".   However, the school officials had not yet given us a radio to hear them.  By the time our spotter walking over heard them, they were already playing the song.  We rushed, I threw on a hard hat and barely got my jacket on when I had the flare thrust into my hand, and I was already supposed to be launching them.  I did, about 3-4 seconds late, but they went up.

Thank goodness I have already experienced them firing while helping out on the barge during the Summer Pops.  If not for that, I might have found myself curled up in a fetal position after the first volley.   And thank goodness I didn't require a change of pants either.

I know my niece and nephew were there,(she's a cheerleader, and he plays football.)  I'll have to ask them later what they thought of the show.

 Sorry I'm a day late, we got up early yesterday and moved the trailer home, as golf is pretty much done for the year.  We had left it out for the staff party, so we could party with the staff and not have to have a DD.  However, apparently the staff party has been postponed two more weeks, for a time when there will undoubtedly be snow on the ground.

Trailer made it home safely, with only one mishap - my son left his cup of coffee on a little table and I didn't see it when I locked up the trailer, so it made it's way to the floor.  The candle I also missed did not however, meaning I am pretty decent at hauling that sucker without moving it around too much.  

Renos are in full force and we finally got our t-shirts to wear instead of our normal uniform shirts.  We also get to wear jeans, which is awesome cuz our uniform pants are black and show every bit of dirt.  I'm really tired, however, cuz we have to move stuff around way more than we do normally and it's hard, physical work.  I even had to buy new steel toe boots, and my old ones aren't even a year old.  

My daughter becomes an official teenager in a week.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.  I get tomorrow off to watch NASCAR.  I'm stoked.

That's due to his years of having lousy teams here in Pittsburgh.  He managed here for 11 seasons, 1986-1996.  When he got a good group of players to coach, he had competitive teams for a 5-year stretch from 1988-1992 (1989 was a losing season with half the team getting hurt).  I can see where his record wouldn't be stellar.  I still respect the man though, always have.  He was the only manager that got the Pirates to the playoffs in my lifetime, I missed the Chuck Tanner "We Are Family" group by 6 years.

By the way, those shirts are fugly!

This man has left me speechless this weekend.  He is a marine from just down the road from here who has become a hero to everyone except for himself.  I'm humbled to have men and women like himself serving our country in harm's way, while I remain in relative safety from day to day.

 Damn my work and their Okotoberfest Celebration yesterday. I was supposed to be in Vegas this weekend with some friends. One of them told me that last night he saw a "Gaggle of M!dg*t Elvi playing BlackJack!" F**k you damn work, F**k you!

I know it was a "should win" game, Jess.  However, 2 years ago the Steelers had a piece of cake schedule and lost to a ton of teams they should've easily beat.  so I AM happy seeing them beat a bad team the way they should.

I don't even care. I got so sick of listening to the announcers bring up plays from SB XL, I had to mute it. The hawks have played the steelers since then, it was totally unnecessary to keep bringing it up. Not only that, you guys have a pretty complete veteran team that went to the super bowl last year - you didn't lose a whole lot. Know how many guys are left on the Seahawks from their SB run? One. Marcus Trufant. The rest of them are brand new, and/or young and probably won't win more than 2 games this year. I do have hope for the future, but honestly I don't know what's worse...knowing that your team counts as a "bye" week for every opponent they face or having their fans celebrate the win over them. Sorry if I'm a little sensitive right now.

I'm sick of hearing about SB XL myself.  The problem is the same officiating crew was doing the game today, so naturally the announcers are going to constantly keep reminding everyone about that game.  It's going to be shoved down our throats whether we want it to or not.
