Your AL Rookie of the Year Ballot
If you had a ballot for AL Rookie of the Year, who would you vote for? This is the first of my yearly series of poll regarding the MLB awards. Stats are current as of games played September 18th. For hitters, batting average, homers, RBIs, and OPS are shown. For pitchers, win-loss record, saves (if applicable), ERA, strikeouts, and innings pitched are shown.

Clearly a pitching heavy year. Pineda was the pitcher of the first half of the year, but he faded while Hellickson came out, so I went with the latter at #1. Ivan Nova's record is clearly inflated by the team he's on, but his numbers are good enough to take #3. No hitter comes close.

That's The Same Thing I Was Thinkin' About Nova, But His Numbers Deflate From The Time He Wasn't With The Team. Pineda Had A Strong Start, But You Just Can't Give Him Votes For Lack Of Run Support, Felix Was Good Enough To Get That Message Across Last Year And Pineda Totally Collapsed In The Second Half, Much Like The Team He Played On. Trumbo And Hossmer Both Have Outside Chances But I Think Hellickson Has Enough To Take It This Year.
