Welcome back. This is the part of the locker room where you can sit and chat and chill for a while without offending or being shushed. Maybe you wanna watch a dvd or listen to your mp3. Yes, I rhymed. Something on your mind, post it! Random question, ask it? Hijacking is allowed and encouraged. Join the party, troll around, have a beer. It's cool. All are welcome, but please leave all BS in the hall.

Morning. Tuesday night tv is horrible. I did watch TWD and Talking Dead. Why do I know Chris Hardwick? Someones' ear is in danger of having hair brushed over it, I swear. He's adorable! When he corrected the caller on 28 Days Later...*swoon* The whole nerd thing was too cute. Huge dude that I know from... I think, several tv shows and that movie with a lot of killing but wasn't  The Hills Have Eyes (heh) and came out around the same time-ish said "twss" out loud...twice. Awesome. SVU is still good so far, so I haven't quit it as of yet.
I drank my last Dos Equis last night and I think I am going to just give up this beer trial and go back to liquor only. It's worked for me for all of these years, and sometimes experiments just aren't worth the trouble.
Anyway...I have nothing else because life was pretty boring yesterday. Good day. I heart most of you.

Good Morning, Sidney. Filter Error 10/26 Photo(that's one)

"Why do I know Chris Hardwick?"

Because of the greatness of 'Singled Out'.

----

House episode on USA right now is the Meat Loaf guest starred and Kal Penn suicide one.

Watched two-thirds of the Red Riding trilogy this morning. Holy fu**ing sh** is it awesome. If you like the noir genre and can get through some really strong British accents, definitely for you. Andrew Garfield/New Spiderman is the main character in the first one.

New Psych tonight. Corey Feldman guest stars. Fu** yeah.

- We're 4-1 on the hoops season after losing last night 71-66.  We were down two men meaning we only had one sub.  My stems are sore today.

- What a game by Kaner last night.  This 360 spin move followed by the feed to Hossa was a thing of beauty.  Hawks are in 1st place.  Boom!

- Theo Epstein's presser was very impressive.  He outlined how he's going to go about changing the entire Cubs franchise from top to bottom.  It's only been missing for 100+ years.  In Theo we trust!

- How funny was it that not one NFL team showed up to T.O.'s workout?  Look, the guy probably has something left in the tank, but he burned a lot of bridges during his career.  It'll be interesting to see if he can land somewhere.

- Going to a haunted house on Saturday.  Should be a swell time.

- And just because she's so fine, Meagan Good...

Morning.

So.....last night Terry Murray decided to NOT go with Quick....a guy who had three consecutive shut outs. I pouted a little when I heard, but then thought "Coach Murray knows his s**T. So what.....Quick has had rest between games (it's only game 8), Coach promised Bernier the start-----WTF? Hmmmmmm. REally? I remember how all this went before when you wanted the back up to get some play in when Quick was being his stud self---The Kings went on to lose several games in a row. But that isn't going to happen this year........the Kings lost 3-0. The whole team pretty much sucked huevos after the 13 minute mark in the 2nd period. All three Devils goals came from turnovers ---Goal 1----Big Penner turned it over. It'd be nice to see the big guy move and not just stand there. All that supposed talent-----where the hell is it? Goal 2----Kopi turns it over----WTF? Now I know the win is not in the cards for the Kings. Frankenberry never turns it over. sigh. Goal 3----newcomer Mike Richards.....turn over.  Sigh. Only positive of the night------I can now wash my jersey and stop wearing my purple Chucks to games------------my feet turn to icicles in those.

I love The WAlking Dead, but only like discussing the show Sunday night and Monday. (insert pout smiley thingie)

Today is Picture Day! Whoo hoo.................nothing I love more than spending about 30 minutes telling my class to hush and stop playing around,....oh and I love the notes from parents to fix their kid's hair too.....not to mention having to take a school pic myself. I always feel like a rah tard when those people tell me to tilt this way and such....not to mention----the backgrounds and posing make me feel "special" and in need of a short bus.

Hope everyone has a pleasant day. Remember to be nice to your drive thru representative.

Good Morning, Everybodee!

My sister arrived last night.  She stopped by and surprised my daughter at band practice.

I read we apparently have a new "immigrant" to our fine country.  Maybe he'll stop by and introduce himself to Jess.

Happy Hump Day (get some if you can)

Canes were lucky to get a point last night.  Baseball resumes tonight where the Cards start their comeback.

Boot Camp, Volleyball, or both tonight?

A (girl)friend told me last night I need to find a girl(woman) that I will listen to.  let's tosh.0 break this down:  (girl)friend = co-worker at RBC who I sometimes hang out with after games (she is married).  I need to find a girl = no s**t.  I've only been trying for a couple of years, set me up, or find me one worthy of me.  that i would listen to = well see point two and find me one worth listening to.

Leigh, you share a bathroom with a roommate? unless you're hitting that....

Ladies and Gentlemen, Dropkick Murphy's:

I play in a band, we're the best in the land
We're big in both Chelsea and France
I play one mean guitar and then score at the bar
There's a line of chicks waiting for their chance
So come on now honey, I'll make you feel pretty
These other gals mean nothing to me
Let's finish these drinks and be gone for the night
'Cause I'm more than a handful, you'll see

[Chorus:]
So kiss me, I'm s**tfaced
I'm soaked, I'm soiled and brown
in the trousers, she kissed me
And I only bought her one round

I can bench press a car, I'm an ex football star
with degrees from both Harvard and Yale
Girls just can't keep up, I'm a real love machine
I've had far better sex while in jail
I've designed the Sears Tower, I make two grand an hour
I cook the world's best duck flambe
I'll take the pick of the litter, girls jockey for me
I don't need these lines to get laid

[Chorus]

I'm a man of the night, a real ladies delight
See my figure was chiseled from stone
One more for the gal then I'll escort her home
Come last call, I'm never alone
I've a house on the hill with a red water bed
That puts Hugh Heffnor's mansion to shame
With girls by the pool and Italian sports cars
I'm just here in this dump for the game

[Chorus x2]

Ahh, f*** it. Who am I s**tting?

I'm a pitiful sight, and I ain't all that bright
I'm definitely not chiseled from stone
I'm a cheat and a liar, no woman's desire
I'll probably die cold and alone

But just give me a chance, 'cause deep down inside
I swear I got a big heart of gold
I'm a monogamous man, no more one night stands
Come on, honey, let me take you home

[Chorus x4]

The same happened with my friend and his roomate. He noticed that his roomate was using his shampoo all the time without asking, so one day while my friend was in the shower he emptied a batch of "happiness" into the bottle. He did this for 3 straight days. His roomate continued to use the shampoo, not knowing about the "happiness" inside the bottle. Everytime I saw him, his hair looked more healthy, full of bounce. He ended up telling him a year or so later, it came to blows.

People that  shave after several months of having a beard sure do look funny.....It's amazing what a little hair or lack thereof can do to change the appearance of something.

If I ever get in trouble with the law the only thing I'll have to do is shave off my go-tee. They'll never recognize me

So the snow wasn't bad in the city last night/this morning.. I only got about 4 inches (twss) but about an hour north snow accumulations thus far are at about 15"

I've got hockey at 10:30 tonight.. ugh

I'm tired of all the blaming back and forth between the NBA and the players.  Then I read an article by Jason Whitlock this morning knowing it would make me angry, and of course it made me angry.. I can't stand that f***ing guy.

Did you guys know Tim Tebow is in love with a man? What? That's right, he's in love with a man named God. Does that make him gay? Is he gay for God? You betcha

What's one of the best things about living in the beer brewing capital of the world.. Finding new treasures all the time.  My latest has been Gubna by Oskar Blues Brewing out of Lyons, CO.. If you like IPAs or even more, like double IPAs or imperials, you have to try and find this.  They also make Dale's IPA which is fantastic in it's own right, but Gubna is fantastic.  Oh , and they are one of the few microbrews that sells in a can. But the sh** on draught is like the nector of the gods

"Spend Some Time"

[Verse 1 - Obie Trice]
I never would've thought that I'd see you out of control
Even though my p***s was deep down in your h**e
You should know between us, we was like mates of soul
Nothing could intervene us, especially no hoes
You was more sort of chalant type I chose
To more shows, on the true nights I suppose
That's how it go, with time spent, emotion grows
In the beginning friends, we decided to roll
So who's responsible when you get excited, explode
And Obie's grinnin', then you invite that Obie's cold
But bitches they gon' talk, *****s they gon' hate
We established this way before we became mates
So what's required is that you chill with all that fire
Get your desire when I retire and ...

[Chorus]
Spend some time with me
Say that you'll be mine
I never thought I'd find someone to be mine
Lord knows I was right 'cuz you just crossed the line

[Verse 2 - Eminem]
I used to say I never met a girl like you before
Still ain't got a f**kin' clue as to who you truly are
Almost went as far as introducing you to my daughters
'Til you went as far as goin' and snoopin' through my drawers
Now I just feel stupid for the loop that you threw me for
Can't believe I almost flew the coop for some stupid whore
You used to say all you wanted was for me to be yours
All I ever wanted from you was a few booty calls
If you recall I used to treat you like a groupie broad
When we f***ed I refused to even take my jewelry off
But it threw me off the first time I called and you blew me off
It was a shock, it struck me as odd, but it turned me on
You started getting moody on me, pretty soon we'd argue
And the ruder you got, the more beautiful you got to me
And who'da even knew that who would'a even thought possibly
Cupid could shoot another one of them Godd**ned darts at me
It's true that I got shot in the heart
But when someone seems too good to be true, they usually are
But see, when you're in it, it's too hard to see
'Til you pull up and see some other dude's car parked and reach -
Up under the seat, as your heart starts to beat
Before you make a decision that's life altering
And just as you halt, and you turn and you start to leave
You hear them words echoing, almost haunting, that taunting ring
[Chorus]

[Verse 3 - Stat Quo]
Yeah right b**ch, spend some time on my d***
In most cases - Stat's attitude is f**k a b**ch
My only motive is to get h**d and f**k a b**ch
But you was different, thought we shared a covenant
Even held your hand in public
We suffering because of this
Shorty on some whole 'nother other sh**
Tryin' to play slick, thinkin' I'ma trick off rip
I'll admit - I was caught in the mix, down to commit
Feeding you the best of me, I should've fed you p**s
We started off closer than close
But who could've predicted or known
Your triflin' way would've stopped our growth
And the final result - back in that same boat
I ask myself do I love these hoes? Nope!

[Verse 4 - 50 Cent]
Em introduced us, "50 this is Tanya, Tanya this is 50"
Then slid off and left her to kick it with me
I complimented her, I said "you have very nice lips"
With my imagination, I could see her s**kin' my d***
We played the phone game, a week later sh** changed fast
Had her comin' over in a cab to give me some ***
Downtown Manhattan on the balcony, stare at the skyline
Penthouse full of imported sh**, you know how I grind
She got to talkin', talkin' like an opportunist too
Why talk when s****n' my d*** is the real career move?
Said she's an inspiring actress, she do videos for practice
Yeah yeah, know how many times I done heard that sh**?

Spend some time with me
Say that you'll be mine
I never thought I'd find someone to be mine
Lord knows I was right 'cuz you just crossed the line

Whatup?
I have returned to "normal" now after my mini energy crisis after my workouts this weekend. This morning when I hit the track everything seemed okay. (YAY ME!)
I heard that Republican / Tea Party Presidential candidate Uncle Ruckus Herman Cain was in town yesterday raising funds and barnstorming for his big run in 2012.  How did I miss this? I give a WTF to myself. I love the circus. It's sad when I miss the clowns.
I also missed the news that Hollywood dumpster fire and poor man's Lindsey Lohan, Tara Reid god married in Greece over the weekend. *prepare rimshot*  Why she didn't use pudding I'll never know...
Finally, SeaWorld is being sued for "enslaving" Killer Whales to perform in their shows. Who comes up with this s#*t? Is compared to the thousands of whales that "walked in" to apply for the position? "Yes, come right in. Willy, is it? Why is your resume so wet? GTFOH I have more, but I'm gonna stop for now. I can feel my IQ starting to drop.
In closing, a quote, "Friendship is the greatest gift in the world...until they buy the last Chicken Parm, right in front of you." Dog.
P.S What is all the fuss about Megan Good anyway?

Nevermind.

So I guess DirecTV is in the same boat with Fox as Dish was last year...and Comcast (or it might have been Charter) a few years ago. I love how everyone wants to blame DirecTV for the dispute. Apparently nobody else with DirecTV has friends with Dish and Comcast and they don't remember their friends flipping out about losing Fox channels. I'm not all that upset about it - I watch FX and I'll miss Sons (as much as it ticks me off), but Rescue Me is over now, so I won't go bonkers without it. Fox Sports will be a difficult loss, and Prime Ticket. I'm sure they'll figure it out though, and we won't go without those networks for long. I just wish we'd lose Fox News along with it before my mom comes to town...I don't particularly want my daughter watching that mess for 10 straight days while we're gone.

Sunday Kiernan decided to be a sweetheart and clean the house thoroughly (including cleaning out the fridge) while I was sleeping in before the games. In doing so, she emptied a huge bowl of steamed white rice into the garbage disposal. Apparently steamed white rice in mass quantities clogs garbage disposals...who knew? So because housing maintenance is closed on Sundays, I called first thing Monday morning to have them come fix it. I had to remind them yesterday. They came to fix it this morning...I hope the smell made them gag.

Also - this little hurricane is looking like it's coming right at me. At first they thought it was going to veer right after striking land in Central America and then again in Cuba, making it kind of flip a u-turn, but now not so much. It almost looks like it's going to veer right just enough to go directly between the Yucatan Peninsula and Cuba, probably gaining speed because it won't be hitting much land between the current eye of the storm and little ol' me. Ugh. I know I was looking forward to at least one evac. while I lived here, but my mom will be here in 22 days (22 DAYS!), I go on a trip not long after, and I just don't have the time or finances for a hurricane evac. and cleanup. Turn around and go back to where you came from, Rina.

Gotta get back to work. I'd provide a song, but I've typed enough. Have a super fantabulous day!

During the time I've been gone I've found peace. A lot of inner peace. Sure there are some things that still tick me off like if someone mentions anything about my favorite team moving. "LA Vikings? F**K OFF!!"

But things like politics, shampoo, TWS, whether the NBA will figure it's crap out, family coming to town, picture day at school, silly little TV shows...these things bother me not.

Let me share a little bit of my peace with you this morning:

"Don't worry about a thing,
'Cause every little thing gonna be all right.
Singin': "Don't worry about a thing,
'Cause every little thing gonna be all right!"

Rise up this mornin',
Smiled with the risin' sun,
Three little birds
Pitch by my doorstep
Singin' sweet songs
Of melodies pure and true,
Sayin', ("This is my message to you-ou-ou:")

Happy "HUMP DAY" everyone....however you take it....

WTF is it with these insurance companies?  I have a patient, sprained ankle about 2 weeks ago...getting a little better, but not to my liking.  Order an MRI.  Patient calls me and says "I need prior authorization".  Call ins co,, give name, ID and birthdate only to be farmed to another "company" that gives me a "non-clinical" specialist..  I have to repeat name, ID and DOB....only to be told to hold for a CLINICAL nurse!  Then I got cut off.  Call back, go through this again and finally talk to "clinical nurse", who asks me questions as if I don't know ANYTHING about my field.  She assigns a case number to it, and then tells me that a PHYSICIAN review will be done "in the next 2 days".  I order maybe an MRI every month or two....I KNOW MY STUFF.  So, this patient sits with a possible torn legament while the insurance companies run everything.

Watched the Devils-Kings game last nite...sorry teach, but I agree with you....they should have played Quick (because he IS 6 feet wide and 4 feet high).  Was gonna say to you..."Just want to let you know we're all counting on you...so good luck"...but Kat might yell at me for quoting movie lines....

Have a great rest of the afternoon!

Because of the greatness of 'Singled Out'.

Fu** yeah.

Ad vs. Real Life ... I don't see the problem.

Good day, bitches.

I have 3 whole days until the Big Gay Halloween Extravaganza and I'm utterly unprepared.  I haven't finished decorating my house, my costume is still "in the works", I haven't even thought about the food/drink situation ... I'm a damn mess.

Amy Winehouse's autopsy report is in and, big shocker, she died from an overdose of alcohol.  And that's all.  Mm hmm.  Like Britney Murphy died of pneumonia and iron deficiencies.    Riiiiiiiight.

I love strawberries, and apparently they might be part of the reason I still have functioning internal organs after my heavy boozing days.  New studies show that strawberries help reduce damage caused to stomach lining by alcohol, medications, and ulcers.  Take note ... well ... practically EVERYONE here.

Back at work and today guess what I get to do?? Yep that's right bag dimes and nickels! I hate coins.

So after a kind of short conversation and a lot of thought, I have decided that not only is Marcus funny and random...he is also a perb!

It's getting closer to moving day and I haven't really packed anything. I'm too lazy.

Is it just me, or are there some people on here that act like they have never seen a half dressed woman before? Some of the comments on the DABS and TOTD make me wonder about people. Can we say creepy??

Yeah, Sutter is doing a stellar job of trashing DirecTV but the fact is it's Fox Net causing the problem.

In the end, I love SONS and JUSTIFIED but I can DL them the next day...DirecTV has the NFL SUNDAY TICKET which means I'm there bitch.

On another note...been rocking this new Five Finger Death Punch cd for about 2 weeks now, OUT'F*&KINGSTAND is all I can say about it.

I use it on clothes all the time. Sometimes it's the only thing that will get a stain out or keep a grease stain from setting in. Also, blood (Trever had a bloody nose one time and it got all over his shirt...it didn't stain, thanks to Dawn), marinara, and bird crap.

I just asked Kiernan what she wants for dinner - told her I'd make just about ANYTHING she wants, and you know what she said? Grilled cheese sammiches and tomato soup. I think that's the first time my daughter has acted like a normal child in years. Last time I asked her, she told me she wanted oven fried chicken, steamed vegetables, and garlic mashed potatoes with country gravy. I guess at least tonight's meal will be simple.

Soooooooooooooooooooooooo.......10 minutes into to school today, and I have a student barf all over her table and herself. Her mom told me before school started that she was sick but she wanted her to take her pictures. Gee thanks. Then.....picture time comes and it lasts 45 long ass minutes--------and a fifth grade class totally cut my class. I wanted to brawl but then I thought........I'm wearing hoops----who will hold them?  Then......one of my mom's decides to hang out with her daughter while she was waiting to take her pic.....is that really necessary? No....GO HOME! That same mom had the secretary call down to my class to have her daughter go to the office because she brought her sunglasses to wear for the assembly. I want a taser..........................for parents.

Sup Qholes?

SO....now I'm hearing different reports about WVU move to the Big 12 and one name keeps popping up. Republican Leader Mitch McConnell, Louisville, Class of ’64, may have blindsided the Mountaineers in order to clear the way for the Louisville Cardinals to join the Big 12. This doesn't mean that WVU isn’t heading to the Big 12. This maybe Louisville's last ditch effort to latch on to the Big 12 and the Big 12 is listening to their sales pitch.

Christi, I you. But If this is true, Mitch can kiss my a**!

I've also heard, The Big 12 is waiting on Missouri formally to withdraw from the conference.

Anaheim Ducks goaltender, Jonas Hiller‘s new special-edition "Movember" mask is freaking awesome.. For those not familiar, November each year Movember.com is responsible for the sprouting of moustaches on thousands of men’s faces, around the world. With their Mo’s, these men raise vital funds and awareness for men’s health, specifically prostate cancer and other cancers that affect men.

Seeing as we are going to hit the 7 billionth person mark fairly soon, I thought this was pretty cool, but probably not that accurate.

According to the little widget, I'm right in the middle-ish (the 3,560,257,678 billionth person out of 7) and the world's population has doubled in my lifetime.

Most importantly though, remember you're unique and special. Just like everybody else. lol

My friend is super crafty and she comes up with a lot of awesome stuff (check out her shop and her blog...shop doesn't have a lot but blog does). I'm excited to use them...we'll probably pass them back and forth between each other or use them for ornaments because I don't want to get rid of any. Ok maybe to somebody REALLY special..

He's an idiot. Any pig worth his weight in slop and feed curb, would have addressed the PDA situation with this caveat: "because my EX-girlfriend will be there and I don't want to get into with her. I want US to have fun." See that's the difference between an average pig and a "show hog."

 Hiiiiiiiiiiiii!!

I just have one thing to say today.  Men, if you are a dad and separated from the mother of your children, please remember your fight with her, if there is one, is between you and her and not between either of you and your kids.  My ex has had nothing to do with his son for 6 years because his new woman doesn't want him to.  Yesterday he shaved off his soul patch but left his mustache.  He asked me how he looked, and I told him, honestly, that he resembled his dad.  He glared at me, then went back in the bathroom and shaved off the mustache.  When he came out, he told me that he wasn't mad at me for telling him, just mad.  His father has no idea the damage he has done.  Even if he were to approach him now, I believe it is too late.  I don't believe my son would accept his dad back into his life.  I promise, I have never, ever said anything negative to my son about his dad.  I haven't had to.  He's made his own impressions.

Actually something that is basically in my divorce agreement.  We had that discussion before any paperwork was signed.  Thus the reason I have a good relationship with my kids, and honestly with my ex.

 Thanks.

No need to be sorry.  It might mean I don't want/need that job.

I'm keeping the Guinness.

either way.
I've heard OU wants Louisville and Texass wants WV, for once i would have to agree with Tex. The Mountaineers have a better football program, and just as good a basketball progam  as Louisville here lately. UL would be the better choice if your only looking at logistics. We will wait and see what Mizzou does but either one probably has a better fan base than UM.

Louisville has Charlie Strong, though.  Our program has quite a future ahead of it.  I wouldn't count us out yet.
