Welcome back. This is the part of the locker room where you can sit and chat and chill for a while without offending or being shushed. Maybe you wanna watch a dvd or listen to your mp3. Yes, I rhymed. Something on your mind, post it! Random question, ask it? Hijacking is allowed and encouraged. Join the party, troll around, have a beer. It's cool. All are welcome, but please leave all BS in the hall.

I watched the season premiere of House last night. I missed him.
I have been enjoying AMC's Fear Fest. George Romero's face worries me a little though.
I had more thoughts on Clint Eastwood this morning, but I will keep them to myself so as to avoid more arguing about it...but I'm probably right.
Where the hell is baby mod?
I'll probably only do the chick edition of the dabs til the end of the week since the clown is back.
I think my pre-homo rapture fiancees would really make excellent wives. They're kind of awesome.
Where did we land on Next Iron Chef yesterday? Yea or Neeeigh?
Teach, have a good day. Filter Error 10/27 Photo

82-game NBA reg season + full playoffs still in play. Need done deal by weekend. Lots of optimism now. I'd be surprised if this fell apart.

- The newest teacher sex scandal might as well be a storyline to am adult film.  Lulz!

- Finally starting to get over the USC loss.  This one stings more than most, but it's time to move on.  Time to exact some revenge on the Middies of Navy.  Go Irish!

- So the White Sox are in bed with with the crooked politicians of Illinois.  I'd say I'm shocked, but that would be a blatant lie.

- Tried Maker's Mark 46 last night.  Stuff is great.  Highly recommend it if you're a bourbon drinker.

And with that, I'm n cruise control.  Today is my Friday.....so be prepared for baseless posts and random sh*t from me today.

Where do I start?  Without breaking the code?

Maybe I'll learn something today and post it later.

WS back on tonight.  I think.

No messages back last night.  I might delete phone numbers just so i don't get into to much trouble.  There is one out there though, not sure what she is thinking when I text her.  Oh well.

And I can't find the lyrics to my song.

More later.  Maybe.

Been a rough past few days....

So, instead of wasting everyone's time, just imagine this is a long rant with whining, bitching, moaning, groaning and complaining about a myriad of self-perceived personal ailments, situations, and reactional, self-destructive behavior.

1 Al Pacino
A bundle of urban energy, Pacino embraced bravura in such crowd-pleasers as Glengarry Glen Ross and The Devil's Advocate. 917 4299
2 Robert De Niro
De Niro is as mesmerizing in the low-rent Bloody Mama as he is in Taxi Driver, Raging Bull, and Goodfellas. 914 4392
3 Tom Hanks
He loved a mermaid (Splash) and crossed paths with history (Forrest Gump) but never lost his boy-next-door appeal. 912 4176

Morning.

So I took my new school/badge pic, and like always I do in fact look "special". In fact I'm pretty sure I look like I'm going to be swallowed up by my hair and the dark blue sweater I was wearing did nothing to help this------PERFECT. I can't wait for my free package of pics so I can hand them out.  (To be fair, Picture dude did show me the pic and ask if I was OK with it, but I don't remember my hair trying to swallow me up.)

The Kings play tonight. My poll is made. I'm not using my Kopitaramus alien pic.............apparently it's scary (wussy). I'm looking for another. I may just bust out the MS Paint and paint myself another. I don't know, but I hope the Kings right the ship and get back to winning. Quick is in net and I'd like to see him keep his streak going. Go MFing KINGS!!!!!

Have a smile worthy day. Remember-----Healthy bodies make strong minds.

how did you miss 43 names...?

last night got stupid. it was fun from all this non-stupid i've been getting into lately. a good night with my daddy and his wife, playing ginormous jenga and that circle game that's kinda like tic-tac-toe where no one ever wins and someone always gets frustrated and just pushes the board over sending circles all across the patio and drawing attention to your extreme sore-loserness. connect four! that's the one. i was going to the bar with daddio and stopped to talk to a friend of mine working there and i heard dad ordering me a double and a raspberry kamikaze. i also heard the bartender snicker and say "someone's trying to get lucky tonight!" my dad farted and explained to the good woman that i'm his daughter and she turned super red. it was awesome. couldn't look daddy in the eye for the rest of the night. oh! but he did drunkenly apologize for calling me eddie munster for my entire childhood and said he thinks me widow's peak is pretty. so that was my last daddy issue knocked out of the ballpark. i guess i'll have to start dating dudes who are good for me now.

oh! then it was buffalo wild wings with the roomie. when we got back, there were two bottle of shampoo with bows on them. coconut and lavender. very nice selection. so i get my respect i wanted and my hair smells and feels divine.

my mom and i are engaged in fart warfare. we are sending these back and forth to each other:

i think there was something else. oh! houston is expecting a "winter blast" this afternoon. temperaturecould dip as low as the 60's.

Good Morning, Everybodee!

Daughter has a choir concert tonight. (well, tonight and tomorrow night.  Don't know why the split it into two nights, probably due to the size of the class and length of performances.)

Spoke with my daughter last night, I got word the previous night that her Facebook status now shows she has a boyfriend. (her first 'official' one, that I am aware of.)  It is the young man who is taking her to Homecoming Dance.     I figured as much, but wanted to talk with her.   And no, completely bypassing her mental image of me blowing my jester hat off my head, I kept my cool.

I worked one hour today.  Took longer to drive back and forth.  Catching up on DVR'd stuff.
hacked my friends computer so I could post here. I go home tomorrow.  YAY!
I was supposed to fly to Dallas Monday.

You know what I think is hilarious? I posted something on Facebook regarding some people who could use a lesson in "appreciation", and it was directed mostly at somebody in particular (although it was pretty much a blanket statement). That somebody posted a comment to my post so perfectly true to form that she shows her true colors to all who might come across it. I wasn't calling her out personally...she insisted on doing that all on her own. Hola chico's y chica's

So I walked out of the house this morning, with just a thin sweater over my clothes and it was freezing outside. When I got near work the temperature thing across the street at the Credit union said it was 34 degrees. 3 days ago it was 74 degrees when I came to work. Can't we just slowly "ease into" the temperature changes. Why does it have to be so drastic? Geez!!

Pepito is back, and he is living at my work. Things have been happening to me here, kind of funny stuff. I almost dropped my lunch all over the floor, that same day I slipped and almost fell. Well today I made the coffee and when I went to go get  a cup, it had overflowed all over the counter top.

Have an amazingly wonderful day everyone, and idk why but this made me laugh.

I'm not sure if it is or not...I've been caring for it the way it says on the little soil stick thing - since it's a desert plant, it's not supposed to need watered more than once every couple of weeks and it needs lots of sun (which I'm doing). It says to mist it occasionally (which I've been doing). I dunno, maybe they're the wrong instructions for a yucca? I've had it since May. I repotted it into a pot that has a drain thing last month (the first one didn't). Maybe I just got to it too late. It's not brown and gross or anything, it's just starting to wilt and have a few brown spears (leafs) here and there.

Sup Qholes?

New York never ceases to amaze me. The picture below is the Holland (N.Y.) High girls soccer team, which is banned from tournament play for the dumbest reason, ever.

Not one of the members of the team have spent any part of any school day in detention and the squad completed an entire regular season (17 games)  without picking up a single yellow card. This is were it gets good, despite all those positives and Holland's Dutchwomen are still not allowed to participate in the playoffs. There is some silly rule that says, teams that play 16 games or fewer are allowed to compete in the tournament. Per New York State Officials. WOW!

In other stupid news. West Virginia Sen. Joe Manchin and Kentucky Sen. Mitch McConnell are now in a pi**ing.

Manchin was interviewed on Chuck Todd's Daily Rundown. "It was a done deal, Chuck" Manchin said. "It was a done deal."

He outlined the invite, saying the Big 12 went as far as booking rooms and flights to Morgantown and issued a draft of a press release that would be used in a press conference Wednesday.

"I can only tell you that officially West Virginia was invited to be part of the Big 12," he said. "It's a very prestigious conference. We were very pleased. ... And I don't fault any senator or any politician for rooting for their school and making sure that the facts are heard. That was done. That's the process. After they made their selection, they contacted WVU on Monday and again on Tuesday morning to confirm they were in. WVU accepted."

Manchin continued: "They even spoke specifically about finances. A press release was issued from the Big 12 to WVU officials that they would be using on Wednesday. Rooms were booked. Flights were booked."

In the interview Manchin again stopped short of accusing McConnell of wrongdoing, but said he is hopeful the Big 12 is still doing its due diligence and an invite is forthcoming.

"I am very hopeful that the Big 12 is still doing their due diligence and they're just doing the final paperwork. Finalize the deal that they made. If that doesn't happen, then that's when I said I would ask for a Senate investigation to find out what degree of politics was played," he said.

I'm not even sure I want WVU in the Big 12 now. Their inability to make up their own minds is childish at the least.

Rice University new walk on running back Jayson Carter could quite possibly be the smallest to play the game. Jayson comes in at 4-9, 130 pounds.

Fun night, with Game 6 of the World Series, Community, Parks and Rec, and the return of Beavis and Butthead.

Also, from TIME magazine, "the McRib contains a flour-bleaching agent found in gym mats & shoes that's banned in Europe & Australia." Yum. http://healthland.time.com/2011/10/27/why-lovin-the-mcrib-isnt-a-heart-smart-idea/

Agree on the first part, I'll be watching WS first, then DVR the others + Office, because I still have to watch it for some reason.

New Girl comes back on Tuesday, and I don't remember the last episode at all. When was it on last...three weeks ago?

Besides Pats/Steelers, I don't think I want to watch any of the other games on Sunday. Just a sh** schedule.

AJ Pierzynski is on my television currently, if it wasn't such a nice tv, I'd punch a hole in it right now.

Second paragraph, you got from Sharapova's Thigh/Matt, right? Me too.

More later.  Maybe.
I think you lost my number.  I never have any fun any more.  Nat got a new phone and lost all her contacts.  If you text her, you have to tell her it is you.

One of our regulars at the Liquor Store passed away this morning.  He quit drinking early in the summer, and had come back in a couple of weeks ago, but we didn't see him again after that.  He was admitted to hospital last night and passed away this morning.  Another regular committed suicide.  His wife is losing a battle with cancer.  She opted to end her life in the hospital, rather than in hospice or at home.  I guess he couldn't stand it, and ended his own life.  She doesn't know yet.  Yet another regular died of a drug overdose a week ago.  Thank God bad things only come in threes.  This month sucks.

Rehearsals for the Hallowe'en show are going well.  Tomorrow I work til 8 then I'm off til Wednesday, but I (again) work four in a row, 9 hour days.  I'm too damn old for this s**t.

It's supposed to snow tonight.  I hope it doesn't.  One of the area roads has already been closed due to heavy snow.  The snow plow supposedly clearing the road went in the ditch and couldn't get out.

We beat Tampa 5-3.  We're having trouble winning at home.  Luckily we've played away a lot.  We've got some sort of reverse logic going on this season.

I have been enjoying AMC's Fear Fest.

I have too. Only really because of the 2-3am ones. I never saw Dracula 2000 before and thought that was horribly awesome, but then it didn't even compare to Pinata: Survival Island. Seriously, demon trapped inside a pinata killing teens on an island? Just wonderful.

No, Dracula 2000 is Gerard Butler as Dracula and Christopher Plummer as Van Helsing with a flashback that had him with long hair that was hilarious.

Dracula 3000 was on SyFy yesterday or two nights ago, and was going to watch it, but it was already an hour in.

Not in the discussion. Possibly greatest Game 6 of a World Series ever, but the sloppiness takes away from it. 1975 and 1991 (my personal favorite) are probably ahead of it.

They also just did a montage of great Game 6's.

The Cardinals were down to their last strike after being down 2 runs in each of the 9th and 10th inning. Then a walkoff in the bottom of the 11th. Its definately in the discussion.

Great final 3 innings, loved every second of it.

But the 5 errors and whatever men left on base from both sides? It certainly isn't "Greatest World Series game ever". 'Not in the discussion' might be too strong, but I'm thinking of 10 already that were better.

Maybe let the whole 'it just happened' shock wear off a day or two.

Daughter's choir concert was pretty decent, since this was the first time a good portion of them performed in front of an audience.  My daughter and her 2 partners were pretty good.  They were 6th in the line up, and had their correography down, and didn't sound timid anytime during the song.  They sang "Born This Way", and were pretty energetic.  I think most of the others after them started relaxing and having more fun, which made it easier for them to just sing.  There are a handful of band members in the choir as well, and several of them have pretty good voices.  Never heard them sing before.  One couple's performance included the guy asking the girl out to Homecoming.  Fun night, and they still have another event tomorrow as well.
