Welcome back. This is the part of the locker room where you can sit and chat and chill for a while without offending or being shushed. Maybe you wanna watch a dvd or listen to your mp3. Yes, I rhymed. Something on your mind, post it! Random question, ask it? Hijacking is allowed and encouraged. Join the party, troll around, have a beer. It's cool. All are welcome, but please leave all BS in the hall.

I'm doing this early for Rogers. It's rushed. I have an appt. My sister and brother are 14 today.  Aww. Anyway, The early games came through as watchable, more than likely because the teams were evenly matched. Stupid Miami. The Steelers/Pats game only stayed interesting because everyone was waiting to see if Brady brought them back...and he might have if they had challenged when they should have. Dumb! They probably would've lost the game anyway but it would've been fun to watch. I mean it was fun for their fans and apparently Pats haters, but more fun for others. I was reminded yesterday for a moment why I stopped liking the Steelers in general after joining this site yesterday. I'm over that now, but ugh. And no, it has nothing to do with Joe.
Eat your vegetables.

I'm spending too much money a bit too quickly.

The inaugural Formula 1 grand prix in India was awesome despite the few glitches. I've heard New Jersey is getting it's own F1 GP by next year or so.

It's only 6:10 p.m. and i don't feel like working anymore.

Happy Halloween.

Happy Halloween my pizzles,

- Why can't the Hawks win in Carolina?  Good grief - 13+ years and counting.  Must be something in the H2O.  Oh well, the "Swedish Connection" led us to a convincing 5-2 win a night later @ the UC.  1st place is always a good place to be.

- Notre Dame put a hurtin' on the Middies to the tune of 56-14.  That's the way to get over in-house problems and a loss to your biggest rival.  And how about the USC/Stanford game?  Andrew Luck pretty much sealed the Heisman IYAM.  Great game!

- Went to a Lebanese restaurant Friday night for my sister's bday with a big group.  Well they had belly dancers which was awesome...until I got roped into dancing in front of the entire restaurant with one of the said dancers.  Now I have skills on the dance floor (nobody can do the running man and cabbage patch like yours truly), but I was out of my element.  Oh well, I don't mind being the entertainment.  We followed that up with karaoke at a sweet little dive bar.  Good times.

- I took an awesome "Tebowing" pic on Saturday night while partying for Western's big win over Ball St.  Once the girl that took the pic emails it to me, I'll post the greatness.  Note to self: don't offer to buy rugby players a round.  They tend to come out of the woodwork when offered.

- Speaking of Tebow, check out the comments after this article. "Things that are greater than Tebow."  Lulz.

- Michigan and Lions fans are once again bombarding my email with "we're the greatest" type sh*t.  Michigan beat a terrible Purdue team and the Lions beat the Denver Tebows.  Pump the brakes, mitten fans.  Neither of your teams are world beaters.

Hope everyone has a fantastic Halloween and remember, if you ever get caught sleeping on the job, in class, etc....simply raise your head and say "In Jesus' name, Amen."

I'm once again amazed at the only thing that can diminish my sex drive is my BOYS getting gang raped by a team...I'm seeking help.

It's so strong the other 6 days of the week...I think my wife prays for Dallas to lose.

My oldest daughter has broken some very unsettling news...well, her mother broke it too me after she had a couple of days to figure out how.

I'm rocking out to the 80's today since I can't force MIKE AND MIKE/THE HERD on me today.

Happy Halloween...

 AAAALLLLLLVVVVIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNN!!!!!!!

Happy Birthday to my Mom!!

and Ashlie's Sibs if she cares enough.

Nebraska played their most complete game of the year, and the Secondary looked great.  Maybe some post Wisconsin Letdown for MSU, but Nebraska played good.

J.D., the Canes followed up their home win over the Hawks by getting tagged in Philly 5-1.

Ankur, not sure if the NJ thing is a joke, but F1 is coming back to USA if not next year then 2013.  The track is being built in Texas.

Trick or treating with my boy tonight.  Job hunting, laundry, and cleaning today.

Ladies and Gentlemen, DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince:

Now I have a story that I'd like to tell
About this guy you all know him, he had me scared as hell!
He comes to me at night after I crawl into bed
He's burnt up like a weenie and his name is Fred!
He wears the same hat and sweater every single day
And even if it's hot, outside he wears it anyway!
He's gone when I'm awake but he shows up when I'm asleep
I can't believe that there's a nightmare - on my street!

[Fresh Prince]
It was a Saturday evening if I remember it right
And we had just gotten back off tour last night
So the gang and I thought that it would be groovy
If we summoned up the posse and done rushed the movies
I got Angie, Jeff got Tina
Ready Rock got some girl I'd never seen in my life
That was all right because the lady was chill
Then we dipped to the theater set to ill
We saw Elm Street and man it was def
And everything seemed all right when we left
But when I got home and laid down to sleep
That began the nightmare, but on my street!

[Fresh Prince]
It was burnin in my room like an oven
My bed soaked with sweat, and man, I was buggin
I checked the clock and it stopped at 12:30
It had melted it was so darn hot, and I was thirsty
I went downstairs to grab some juice or a coke
Flipped the TV off, and then I almost choked
When I heard this awful voice comin from behind
It said, "You cut off 'Heavy Metal' and now you must die!"
Man, I ain't even wait to see who it was
Broke outside my drawers and screamed, "So long, cuz!"
Got halfway up the block I calmed down and stopped screamin
Then thought, "Oh, I get it, I must be dreamin"
I strolled back home with a grin on my grill
I figured since this is a dream I might as well get ill
I walked in the house, the Big Bad Fresh Prince
But Freddy killed all that noise real quick
He grabbed me by my neck and said, "Here's what we'll do.
We gotta lotta work here, me and you.
The souls of your friends you and I will claim.
You've got the body, and I've got the brain."
I said, "Yo Fred, I think you've got me all wrong.
I ain't partners with NOBODY with nails that long!
Look, I'll be honest man, this team won't work.
The girls won't be on you, Fred your face is all burnt!"
I patted him on the shoulder said, "Thanks for stopping by."
Then I opened up the door and said, "Take care guy!"
He got mad, drew back his arm, and slashed my shirt
I laughed at first, then thought, "Hold up, that hurt!"
It wasn't a dream, man, this guy was for real
I said, "Freddy, uh, pal, there's been an awful mistake here."
No further words and then I darted upstairs
Crashed through my door then jumped on my bed
Pulled the covers up over my head
And said, "Oh please do somethin with Fred!"
He jumped on my bed, went through the covers with his claws
Tried to get me, but my alarm went off
And then silence! It was a whole new day
I thought, "Huh, I wasn't scared of him anyway."
Until I noticed those rips in my sheets
And that was proof that there had been a nightmare, on my street

FP: Oh man, I gotta call Jeff, I gotta call Jeff
Come on, come on
Come on Jeff, answer
Come on, man
JJ: Hello?
FP: Jeff, this is Prince, man
Jeff, wake up,
Jeff, wake up
JJ: What do you want?
FP: Jeff, wake up, man,
listen to me, Jeff
JJ: It's three o'clock in the mornin, what do you want?
FP: Jeff, Jeff, would you listen to me?
Listen, whatever you do, don't fall asleep
JJ: Man!
FP: Jeff, listen to me, don't go to sleep, Jeff
JJ: Look, look, I'll talk to you tomorrow, I'm going to bed
{FC}RRAHHHH!
JJ: Ahhhhhh!
FP: Jeff! Jeff!
{FC}Ha ha ha ha ha haaaa!
JJ: Ahhhhhh!
FP: Jeff!
{FC}RRAHHHH!
JJ: Jeff! Answer me, Jeff!

I dont really have anything today ash. I did go shooting yesterday, and even though I was wearing ear plugs, I seemed to have lost 60% of my hearing in my left ear.

I'd like to give a couple more reasons why I am retiring from fantasy football this year: Ive had Scott Chandler on my bench for the last 3 weeks because he had like 4 catches for 39 yards in that span. So the other day I dropped him and he scores 2 TDs yesterday...soo dumb. Now, tonight in Beans' league, I have Matt Cassel and Dwayne Bowe going against my Chargers, and my opponent has Philip Rivers. So, now I have to root for Rivers to do poorly, while hoping Bowe and Cassel have great games all while hoping the Chargers still win the game. I'm over it.

Happy Halloween!

Morning.

The RAms won, I kicked Jason's ass in fantasy football (thank you Steven Jackson), the Kings lost twice (OT loss in Phoenix and real loss in Colorado----congrats Stoney, glad the Kings can give the Avs their first home win ......), I rediscovered my high tolerance for alcohol this weekend, and I got as close to a real Dexter that I ever want to.

This is as close as I will ever get to being a "little" person. I'd like to thank my leg muscles for tolerating the 20 minutes it took Naked Armenian Tourist to take this pic to my older sister's liking.

I got all caught up on American Horror Story-------------->nice ass shown in one episode. I dig the series. "I want to be a pretty girl."

The Walking Dead was fab. Shane-----Shane Shane. That was cold. I had to watch that scene twice.

Awwwwww.....I love when Halloween is on a Monday------the kids are always so "well behaved and quiet."

Have a wicked Halloween! Remember -------say thank you after you get a treat!

I Hate Halloween.  6 Kids, 10 and under, takes nearly an hour to get everyone ready to go begging for Candy.  And by the way Carving a Pumpkin just on the skin doesn't count, you need to go all the way through so you can light it up with a Candle.  & My Wife buys Pumpkin scented Candles for the inside of the Carved Pumpkins.  Ding Bat.  My arse isn't an ATM.

I went to a Halloween party on Saturday and I have no idea what happened, besides the large amounts of alcohol consumed.

I went as an 80's glam rockstar, but my friend's kid thought I was Lady Gaga, ugh

This morning I couldn't find my keys and my car was illegally parked, after half an hour of searching, I found them in my couch. I accidentally left the car door unlocked last night and am lucky nobody took my stereo or gun. I need to start being more careful.

Happy Halloween Q-Ville !

The Saints had few tricks and no treats yesterday against the Rams congrat's Rams fans (teach, kurt) it was no fluke and even with a back up QB they played their butts off and beat the Saints to the punch play after play. The tired excuses of oh we were flat , they got lucky, etc etc should never be used , they were better prepared and wanted it more !

Ashlie Happy B-Day to your brother and sister , kinda cool to have a b-day fall on Halloween !  Since i have gotten not a single invite to any Halloween parties , i feel like i should of at least gotten a b-day party invite .

Retiring from Fantasy Football - Football Blasphemy

For some reason that old saying "act like you've done it before" is going through my mind.

What the eff is going on with google today?

Poultry makes me cranky. And why must they even schedule Ducks games on Sundays? I HATE Sunday hockey games. It just irks me...they can play all week long - and I want them to...but leave Sundays alone for football.

I'm having major internet problems today. Comcast sucks. And it's probably not a good idea for it to crap out right after I've made my payment every month (November pmt, not October...though I SHOULD make those jerks wait a month). I pay for the top of the line package so I can have the fastest speeds, best connection, blah blah blahbitty blah, and it still blows chunks. The last time I talked to somebody about it, she basically told me there was nothing they could do. FIX IT OR STOP CHARGING ME AN ARM AND A LEG FOR IT! Friggin A. And I thought Charter was bad.

I need to change my attitude today...it's all hallow's eve. Have a blessed one!

i am craving mustard. like bad. mustard and tortilla chips. mustard on tortilla chips. god, that sounds amazing to me. i'll just sit here and dream about that combo while i sip my s**t-water coffee.

weekend was wonderfully halloweeny.

that dude on walking dead is now officially hot with the shaved head. too bad i am still holding a girl-grudge over him for the chauvanistic lightswitch talk from episode one. and the rape attempt from the last episode of season 1. and just the fact that he's a douche in general. i expect the boondock saint and andrea to get nasty and they need to make it soon because i may be losing interest. the last three episodes have been pretty boring.

oh! and yay berkman. 158 days til baseball.

Random Thoughts....

1.  Today is the REAL xmas bit**es.  Youre never too old to dress up....Youre never too old to trick or treat...and if anyone tells you differently punch them in pants.

2.  The kid watched her first honest to god "f**k you up" horror movies over the weekend.   Scream,  Friday the 13th (remake),  Halloween,  Halloween H20, and People Under the Stairs.   If that doesn't sufficiently f**k her up then I'm gonna pull out Blair Witch next.

3.  Speaking of f**king up a small child...i took her to see a performance of Hamlet yesterday.  She looked at me a couple of times throughout the show with the intent to kill.  I know she was running the scenario through her head.  She probably  hit the same speed-bump i always did when daydreaming about offing my parents...who's gonna do my laundry?

4.   Anyone see Nick Diaz make BJ Penn look like an amateur over the weekend?  I f**king missed it.

5.   So many reasons to enjoy the fall...one of them is the end of baseball.   More time for the real sports.

6.   Suck it, Becky.

Happy Halloween
This weekend was good, but I made the mistake of scheduling a frantic day today.. I have no idea what I was thinking

Friday night was fun, went to dinner at the Pepsi Center with a few friends, then caught the Avs-Oilers game.  For a 3-1 loss in which the Avs outshot the Oil 41-19, it was kind of a boring game.. Thankfully there were other things to keep the fun going.  Add in pints after the game with a few guys I play hockey with and work for the company who broadcasts the Avs games and things were right with the world

Someone then proceeded to keep me up really late, so Saturday involved some sleeping in, then scrambling to get my costume together for the party I was attending.  I realized I didn't get any pics with my buddy as Happy Gilmore, but here I am as his caddie.. Boom

And tonight, I will be handing out candy at my buddy's house as depressed, running across the country Forrest Gump..

And to round out the picture trifecta, I grabbed my friend's GF's costume to show you what it would look like if Jesus was the Penthouse pet of the year.. By far my new favorite creepy picture

Last night, went to the Avs game to watch them beat Becky's Kings 3-2 as a group of 20 people.. That was a damn blast.

Now, I'm here.. Exhausted.. No idea what else happened in the world this past weekend.. Getting ready to hit the road again shortly.. And the beard is coming off tonight after 3 -1/2 months.. It's gonna feel weird, but have to get ready for Movember

Next stop thanksgiving

I am beginning to wonder if the oldest, who is 17,  will ever "get it". You know the book smart type and no common sense....exhibit 1) she wondered how Chik-fil-a made chicken sammichs out of cows and number 2) we are shopping in for clothes for the boy who is seven, she informs us that we are in the wrong area of the store, because in the store there are areas for different sizes such as 2T-4T, 5-7 and 8-16.  She, in her infinite wisdom, said we should be over in the 5-7  area because he is seven. After being amazed and awed at this revelation of hers we proceed to correct her, and of course "she knew that".

I am afraid to release her into the general population, but maybe that is what it will take to teach her a thing or two. Like the day after our chicken and clothes revelations. She needed to have a head light changed because it had burned out. I tell her to go to Autozone and get one and I'll put it in. She got the part about going to Autozone right, but she let them replace it for her, probably because the guy was cute or some such nonsense, anyway three miles down the road she pulls into Sonic and the little carhop tells her,  her headlamp is hanging out. she gets home and sure enough she drug it on the street and its all scratched up. The little f**ker that changed it didn't secure it right and now I have to go through them and the percieved corporate bullsh** to come, to get the headlamp replaced.

Of course i could just have her chalk that up to lessons learned and tell tough, but that probably aint gonna happen.

You could add that to the end of almost any statement or event or whatever. Here watch:

Sid: Effinng Saints got their @zzes kicked!
Nyce: Well at least you're lucky nobody took your stereo and gun.

This CLEARLY needs it's own tumblr or meme generator site.

At this point Kenne has clearly reach Kobe posting status. He's not the greatest of all time (Jordan-ing posts) but right now, today, Season 2?

I just got this via YIM from a friend and had to share:

M: Happy Mass Gourd Slaughtering Day!
M: It was on this day 1000's of years ago that the mighty Gourdon Ramsy tried to take over the world using ficticious creatures of popular culture at the time. As the years have passed we celebrate the failed attempt by gathering foodstuffs given out by strangers and people stupid enough to leave lights on and even then we make sure to knock on those with lights off 'just to make sure' they aren't harboring anything. What used to be meats and pies have now been replaced with candies in an effort to fuel the nightmare children on through the night to keep the collections reaping.

1. I don't know who your calling "sunshine"

2. I am not the one running around demanding other people make polls

3. I don't get angry when millionaires refuse to do the job they are paid to do. If the Cowboys decide to pull their heads out of their a$$es, they can still finish the season at 11-5.

...For any of y'all that didn't want to watch the World Series because, "nobody is playing" boy, were you wrong. The WS as a whole was awesome, but Game 6 was must see TV.  Big-ups to LaRussa, Pujols, and the "Big Puma", former Astro Lance Berkman for doing what nobody (including me) thought possible. Speaking of St. Louis...
...Those were some very realistic Halloween costumes I saw at the games on TV yesterday. I mean on the field those guys looked just like the real Saints and Redskins. (sorry, inappropriate, but funny)
...Which brings me to the Texans game. They won a hard fought game with, of all things defense (Whodathunkit?) to stay on top of the AFC South. Nice effort all around. Not perfect, but they won one they were supposed to win. And that's what playoff teams do. P.S. Someone (named Leigh) tried to put another glass of the dreaded "Kool-Aid" in front of me again. Mmm, nah uh. Too soon.

...And lastly, this is how to get the "stank eye" from a total stranger on Halloween. Downtown people don't "dress up for trick or teat, but they will allow a little touch of a costume, you know, a funny wig, a rubber nose, little make-up. But anyway, I saw this guy on the elevator in some stone washed skinny jeans, spiked hairdo, and what had to be his little brother's knit silk shirt. And when he got to his floor he walked out so mad at me...just because I asked if he was dressed up as Ricky Martin.  I can make a mistake...

I was working in the lab,
Late one night,
When my eyes beheld and eerie sight,
For my monster in his lab began to rise,
And suddenly to my surprise..

(he did the mash) He did the monster mash,
(the monster mash) It was a graveyard smash,
(he did the mash) It caught on in a flash,
(he did the mash) He did the monster mash,

(wa-oo) From my labratory in the castle East,
(wa-oo) To the master bedroom where the vampires feast,
(wa, wa-oo) To ghouls all came from their humble abodes,
(wa-oo) To get a jolt, from my electrobes.

(they did the mash) They did the monster mash,
(the monster mash) It was a graveyard smash,
(they did the mash) It caught on in a flash,
(they did the mash) They did the monster mash,

(wa-ooo) The zombies were having fun,
(anashoop wa-oo) The party had just begun,
(anashoop wa-oo) The guests included wolfman,
(anashoop wa-oo) Dracula and his son

(wa-ooo) The scene was rocking, oh we're digging the sounds,
(wa-oo) Eagor on chains backed by asbaying hounds,
(wa-oo) The coffin bangers were about to arrive,
(wa-oo) With their vocal group, the crypt kicker five

(they played the mash) They played the monster mash,
(the monster mash) It was a graveyard smash,
(they played the mash) It caught on in a flash,
(they played the mash) They played the monster mash

(its now the mash) Its now the monster mash,
(the monster mash) And its a graveyard smash,
(its now the mash) It's caught on in a flash,
(its now the mash) Its now the monster mash.

(wa-oo) Now everything's cool, Drac's a part of the band,
(wa-oo) And my monster mash is the hit of the land,
(wa, wa-oo) For you the living, this mash was meant too,
(wa-oo) When you get to my door, tell them Borris sent you.

(Then you can mash) Then you can monster mash,
(the monster mash) and do my graveyard smash,
(then you can mash) You'll catch on in a flash,
(then you can mash) Then you can monster mash.

I'm gonna mix up a giant pitcher of Vodka and something to be determined as yet.  Sit in the garage,

Sup Qholes?

Talk about a sh***y week for my fantasy teams. Lost in college, correction, I was s**t stomped. Two yahoo NFL league were big L's, one to Jen (there went my 5 game winning streak and 6-1 record) and the other to Scott. Only league I won was Beans and that was only thank to Woodrow getting message to Stafford telling him Megatron needed a touchdown. Woodrow is a hell of a nice guy, I was playing him and he still took care of it. You're aces in my book kid, aces.

I'm still in shock from yesterday Steelers/ Patriots game. Watching Roethlisberger pass for 365 yards, two scores (and 1 Int) and lead a series of clock-consuming drives was bitter sweet. That's normally what comes out of Brady.  Watching Brady being sacked three times is visual poetry, I don't care who is doing it. I will be the first to admit, Rob Gronkowski catch at the goal line did cross, why Belichick never challenged the spot is beyond me and on him.

WVU should have lost to Rutgers, they were out played again. Go figure. I guess now WVU, Syracuse and Pitt are in a pi**ing match with the Big East, the Big East insists it will hold all its defecting schools to the 27 month requirement in the by-laws.

Jot out.....

about forgot. All hail the Mile High Messiah!!

Tebow, Tebowed.

Apparently, Detroit Lions linebacker Stephen Tulloch didn't get the message. Woody, this is not necessarily a message you need to deliver.

1, So after tonight, I will be losing some of my TV channels due to a pissing contest between DirecTV and News Corp or whatever the parent company of FOX is. I would probably be angry if I actually watched any of the channels that I am losing. I heard that I will be losing the regional Fox sports channels, I guess that might be a bad thing, but then again I don't really watch those channels anyways.

I am consumed with jealousy.  I am booking a tour at Waverly Hills Tuberculosis Sanitarium, but this time of year, they convert most of it to a haunted house, and I'm MUCH more interested in the haunted side of things.  It may have to wait for warmer weather.  Next time I go to Nashville for a hockey game, it's going to be an afternoon game so I can do the haunted Nashville tour.  I'm a ghost geek like that.

Good day, bitches.  I apologize in advance that this is a lot of whiny-ness packed into one post.  Skim or skip, if you wish.

So Halloween ... the gay high holy day ... my pre-Christmas Christmas.  *sigh*.  Literally this year, since we got about 6" of snow here on Saturday.  Which coincided nicely with the Big Gay Halloween Extravaganza.  Awesome.

All in all, it was a good time, though.  Lots of food, drinks, scary movies, PS3'ing, laughs, craziness, homosexuality ... can't beat that.  And this year my jack o' lantern didn't cave in on itself before the big day (sorry guys,  I just couldn't attempt the human centipede pumpkin ... my big pumpkin rotted away somehow before I even got to carve it, and I was strapped for time when I carved the little one).

Also, my BFF Eddie ended up going with the priest molesting a little boy costume and it was fantastic.  So inappropriate, but I couldn't stop laughing every time I looked at him.  I will post pictures as I get them.

As for today, it's been a doozy.

I get out to my car and have to chip snow and ice off my windshield for about 15 minutes (my friend told me that it was all melted off my car as of yesterday when I mentioned that I should probably go out and clear it off my car ... you know, so I wouldn't have to spend 15 minutes chipping snow and ice away at 6am today).

Then, I drive to work, get within a mile, and the only road that leads TO my job is closed due to downed power lines and trees.   So I'm back on the highway to take a detour that added another 15 minutes to my commute.

I get to work and have a HUGE fight (like screaming and cursing and Fe-Fi-Fo'ing all over the salon kind of fight) with my coworker (I was right, but you already knew that), then have a busy day, to boot.

Start to drive home ... yet another road I need is closed.   Decide to take the back roads I know and they're all bumper-to-bumper due to downed power lines/non-functional street lights.

Now I'm finally home and Stoney's not even around for me to bitch and moan and whine at.  The nerve of some people.  Oooh, I all have to work and stuff.

I hope it only gets better from here on out.
Happy Halloween...

True.  But then he'd have an eternity of dealing with me asking him about what he did in those 72 days while giving him the "I'm not mad, but I really am deep down and will bite your head off like a praying mantis if you answer wrong" look everyday for the rest of his life.

So let me get this straight, Stoney is single and Janet is hunting down Kris Humphries to get a bunch of shi**y wedding gifts. Joe gets to give Stoney porn and beer, Jason is giving him socks, sandals, midriff, shoehorn, and I Cant Believe Its Not Butter. What is left for me the obligatory man hug(handshake/one armed hug combo) lasting as long as Stoney  deems necessary, some illegal drugs, a midget stripper, or doing a line of said illegal drugs off said midget strippers a$$. Fine, but when Jason's old broad leaves him, I got dibs on porn and beer.

You do realize getting a handy from a midget rather than an orangutang is better for 2 reasons.

1. The midget's small hands make you feel better and more confident about yourself
2. The midget isn't likely to rip your penis off during the process of said handy

Good points...good points... But those midgets are shifty little f**kers, man.  Right at wallet level?!?!  Plus not only is she a midget...she's a stripper too?  Double shifty.  Hell we should just mark an empty trash bag with the word LOOT, throw all of our personal belongings in it, and put it in her car for her.

Finally got off my butt and did a Daily Jeopardy poll today. Huzzah for overcoming laziness!

A co-worker apparently bought like 5 bags of candy for tonight for some reason. I told him to bring the leftovers tomorrow. Happy Halloween to me.

Sports: Packers were off, Penn State again won a game that set back offensive football back 40 years, while the Caps blew both games of their Western Canada road trip. Caps better get it together tomorrow against the Ducks, as I'm going. Last time I went to a Caps game, they lost 5-1 or something. Time to see if I'm a jinx.

For Ankur and Dave, the F1 race in Austin is scheduled to be November 2012. The just announced race in New Jersey will be a street race based around Weehawken Port, with the Manhattan skyline in the background. I'll believe either of them when I see it. (P.S. Janet, are you anywhere close to said Jersey race?)

2. Spike Mendelsohn was kicked off of NIC:SC, this sucks. I was really hoping to get to see, at least one blow up between Spike and Chef Irvine.

3. Can I have them both?

You won't be losing any channels now. DirecTv just posted this on the Facebook:

We have reached an agreement with Fox Networks to continue carrying all Fox Networks (including FX, National Geographic Channel, Nat Geo WILD, SPEED, FUEL TV, FOX Soccer, FOX Soccer Plus and FOX Deportes), Fox’s regional sports networks, Fox Broadcasting (FOX), the FOX local stations, Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network. We know the past ten days have been challenging, but we’re pleased that both sides could eventually come together to ensure our viewers continue to enjoy Fox programming.

Why I despise Halloween.
  • walking 23.2764 miles (which I'm sure is unhealthy)
  • seeing people you've avoided since last year. (dumba** I don't won't to talk, avoiding your sorry a** for for 364 days wasn't enough of a hint?)
  • keeping other peoples kids out of the path of cars. cause their worthless parents think it's a social gather in the street.
  • the people handing out candy can tell you (parents) are stressed to the end of their rope and don't off a drink
  • after 20 minutes you (parents) are carrying the off load bag of candy.
  • listening to other parents compare their kids costumes like it's some popularity contest
  • I can't throat punch people and get away with it (to many witnesses)
just to name a few....

Eric tweets that he had dinner at Subway because it's the last day of Any $5 footlong. I think, oh, cheap dinner, quick, and I'll be ready before MNF starts. Good stuff.

Guy in front of me got the same thing as I did, and a minute into both of us eating our sandwiches, he started spitting it out, and went up to the front to show the woman working there, and got a new sandwich. I was too far away to see or hear what exactly was wrong with it, but it made me start looking at mine to see what the f**k was wrong with it. I couldn't find anything. Then it's that queasy feeling and paranoia the entire time of "there's something wrong with this, I'm going to keep eating because I'm hungry as hell, but now I'm going to get sick."

I never did find anything wrong with it. When I was leaving, he and his new sandwich were walking up to the front again, probably with something else wrong.

If I get dysentery, I blame Eric.

We decorated the yard and the house for Hallowe'en, my daughter got into her "kitten" costume (she's 13 - it's way toooooooooooo sexy - made her put on a diff shirt) and we have a boatload of candy, but the morons who run the drilling companies around here decided tonight would be a good time to move a f**king rig, meaning there are huge motherf**king trucks running up and down the main road in front of our house.  All the kids seem to be limiting their visiting to the houses on the north side of said street.  I live on the south side.  I'm ridiculously furious at the insensitivity of these companies, but because I can't see which drilling company it is, I can't call and rip a new a**hole into anyone.

Oh, Happy Hallowe'en everyone.

(Edited by Debi_L)
the winds are currently blowing 20mph from the northwest.  The town hall is about a block northeast of my house.  They are setting off fireworks at the hall, meaning they are all "floating" directly over my house.  My dogs and cats are freaking and I'm joining them, because we already had a grass fire a week ago in another area of town set because of fireworks.  It came very close to destroying about 3 dozen houses.

Sometimes I think people lose their brains during holidays.....

The fireworks are done (they were all in Christmas colors of red and green....) and nothing seems to be burning anywhere.  My hubby went for a drive around town with the water truck, loaded, just to make sure.  We saw some of the fireworks hit ground still burning so just want to be sure nothing is burning............
