Morning gente preciosa!

It's Dia de Muertos (Day of the Dead) in Mexico, it's a Holiday and I don't have to work. Yay! Finally I can take a breath after several frenzy weeks, what a shame it's just today  but still Sad part is maybe I have to spend some of this time to do some house cleaning With all this work I have had, my house is a mess, I have created new bacteria and something called my name from the fridge
See you later, have fun. Hugs and kisses.

 Morning.

I want all that is sold here. Seriously, after thinking about it all night, and even dreaming about the zombie dashboard doll, I will be making a purchase later on this evening. I. Have. To.

Just one of the wonderfulness found there.

Have a great day! Be good to one and other.

Morning.

New Girl was kind of awesome last night, and I also read this morning that Zooey broke up with Death Cab for Cutie/Postal Service lead guy Ben Gibbard (husband of 2 years). Miss Deschanel, call me.

Ex-girlfriend apparently got married on Sunday. Just noticed her last name changed on Facebook. Apparently pregnant again too. That's nice to know.

Watched the Chris Herren documentary from last night, not sure how many of you watched, but thought it was really good. One thing that bugged me and did more and more even afterwards was that this story of a guy that has struggled with a drug addiction for 15 years, now sober for 3, and telling his story - the film is being sponsored by a drug (Jameson).

Watched "It's Kind of a Funny Story" this morning, good flick. I was kind of surprised how similar the mental hospital in the movie was compared to the one I was in, with a couple of exceptions: 1. soda was allowed, I'm obsessed with drinking soda, so that would've been really nice. 2. There wasn't a girl that looked like this when I was there. Not fair.

- Watched the NIU/Toledo game last night.  Neither team has heard of defense as the final score was 63-60 with over 1100 yards of offense...and it didn't even go to OT.  Toledo lost which means my Broncos still have a chance at the MAC.  It's slim, but there's a chance (Lloyd Christmas voice).

- Started working out at a new gym last night and let me tell you, it's "breezy" as hell in there.  I'm not one to approach women at the gym, especially when I'm seeing someone, but I may have to break my rule if things go sour.

- Hoops is tonight instead of last night.  Looking to avoid our fist two game losing streak in three seasons.  Tough task as we're facing the only undefeated team left.  I'm gonna get there early and warm up Cable Guy style to ensure I'm ready.

- Can't wait to read Shaq's new book.  Both he and Kobe are to blame for the breakup of the Lake Show, but I find this except particularly funny.

So I'm on edge because I don't have a new deal, and Kobe is on edge because he might be going to jail, so we're taking it out on each other. Just before the start of the '03-'04 season the coaching staff called us in and said, "No more public sparring or you'll get fined." ... Phil was tired of it. Karl Malone and Gary Payton were sick of it. ... So what happens? Immediately after that Kobe runs right out to Jim Gray and does this interview where he lets me have it. He said I was fat and out of shape. He said I was milking my toe injury for more time off, and the injury wasn't even that serious. (Yeah, right. It only ended my damn career.) He said I was "lobbying for a contract extension when we have two Hall of Famers playing pretty much for free." I'm sitting there watching this interview and I'm gonna explode. Hours earlier we had just promised our coach we'd stop. It was a truce broken. I let the guys know, "I'm going to kill him."

Kobe stands up and goes face-to-face with me and says, "You always said you're my big brother, you'd do anything for me, and then this Colorado thing happens and you never even called me." I did call him. ... So here we are now, and we find out he really was hurt that we didn't stand behind him. That was something new. I didn't think he gave a rat's ass about us either way. "Well, I thought you'd publicly support me, at least," Kobe said. "You're supposed to be my friend."

Brian Shaw chimed in with "Kobe, why would you think that? Shaq had all these parties and you never showed up for any of them. We invited you to dinner on the road and you didn't come. Shaq invited you to his wedding and you weren't there. Then you got married and didn't invite any of us. And now you are in the middle of this problem, this sensitive situation, and now you want all of us to step up for you. We don't even know you." ...
Everyone was starting to calm down when I told Kobe, "If you ever say anything like what you said to Jim Gray ever again, I will kill you."

Kobe shrugged and said, "Whatever."
[...]
From that day on, I was done dealing with Kobe. I was done dealing with Jim Gray, too. What goes around, comes around. When he got fired, he actually had the nerve to call me and ask me to help him out. What, did you lose Kobe's number?

Hey. For a Wednesday, I can’t complain. Falcons are doing well; they have a soft schedule for a month or so coming up. I believe the Saints are in the mix and that is a must win, I am hoping Sid and I can still be BFFs after all is said and done.

Anyways, Derek Lowe goes to Cleveland, I don’t do separation issues well. Not the greatest pitcher but definitely durable, and a good dude to have in the dugout. I dug him being in ATL. Good to see the team who took the NL wild card out of the grasp of the Braves (----> choke job) win it all. I have some satisfaction from all that, in a weird way.

I don’t miss basketball this year, well, I am looking forward to college hoops, how’s that? All the whining about money is kinda like listening to Bank of America whining to me about needing to add a monthly fee of 5 bucks because I put my money in their bank and own a debit card… ****ers.

It is great to see hockey going on even though the penalty of ‘Icing’ and me may never see eye to eye.

I play a freebie tomorrow night, I’m glad to just play. It may be some hoity-toity-ness going on there, so I may see Kenne there.  :0)

Hope you folks are well and I am pricing cases of Nutella for Jason, Christmas will be here before you know it.

 Later.

Good day, bitches.

I'm exhausted, for a variety of reasons.
Sis - any take on the bookclub stuff?

Dating is tough.  I wouldn't go so far as to call it murder, but apparently it's kinda like robbery.

I thought I'd be interested in this article about Vietnamese dognappers, but I can't even get through it because of this snippet:  "Dog thieves are getting more aggressive – they steal villagers' dogs in broad daylight," said Tran The Thieu, police chief of Hung Dong village in central Nghe An province."

First of all, a name like "Tran The Thieu" makes him sound so official and kinda scary.  Like Vigo the Carpathian.
And secondly, Hung Dong village ... well, that one's obvious.

And that's all I've got for now.  Enjoy.

"All I Have"

Love is life and life is livin'
It's very special
All my love...

Oh...oh...oh...oh...oh...
(Baby, don't go)
(Baby, don't go) Yeah
(Baby, don't go, uh)
(Baby, don't go) Yeah
(Baby, don't go)
(Baby, don't go) Yeah, yeah
(Why you act like that)

It's such a shame, but I'm leavin'
Can't take the way you mistreated me
And it's crazy, but oh, baby
It don't matter, whatever, don't phase me

Uh, uh, uh
I don't believe you wanna leave like this
I don't believe I just had my last real kiss
I do believe we'll laugh and reminisce
Wait a minute, don't bounce, baby, let's talk about this, man

Well, I'm bouncin' and I'm out, son
I gotta leave you alone

'Cause I'm good holdin' down my spot
And I'm good reppin' the girls on the block
And I'm good, I got this thing on lock
So without me you'll be fine, right

All my pride is all I have
(Pride is what you had, baby girl, I'm what you have)
You'll be needin' me, but too bad
(Be easy, don't make decisions when you mad)
The path you chose to run alone
(I know you're independent, you can make it on your own)
Here with me you had a home, oh, yeah
(But time is of the essence, why spend it alone, huh)

The nights I waited up for you (Oh, boy)
Promises you made about comin' through
So much time you wasted
That's why I had to replace you

Uh, uh, uh
It makes a cat nervous, the thought of settlin' down
Especially me, I was creepin' all over town
I thought my tender touch could lock you down
I knew I had you, as cocky as it sounds
The way you used to giggle before i put it down
It's better when you angry, come here, I'll prove it now, come here

Stop playin, you gamin'
I gotta leave you alone

'Cause I'm good holdin' down my spot (Stop actin' like that)
And I'm good reppin' the girls on the block (Now you
know you need to stop)
And I'm good, I got this thing on lock
So without me you'll be fine, right (Here we go)

All my pride is all I have
(Pride is what you had, baby girl, I'm what you have)
You'll be needin' me, but too bad
(Be easy, don't make decisions when you mad)
The path you chose to run alone
(I know you're independent, you can make it on your own)
Here with me you had a home, oh, yeah
(But time is of the essence, why spend it alone, huh)

People make mistakes to make up, to break
To wake up cold and lonely, chill, baby, you know me
You love me, I'm like your homey
Instead of beef you come hold me
I promise I'm not a phony
Don't bounce, baby, console me, come here

Ain't nothin' you can say to me that can change my mind
I gotta let you go now
And nothin' will ever be the same, so just be on your way
Go 'head and do your thing now
And there's no more to explain to me, you no
I know your game and I'm feelin' what you do

So I'm bouncin' and I'm out, son
I gotta leave you alone, yeah, yeah

All my pride is all I have
(Pride is what you had, baby girl, I'm what you have)
You'll be needin' me, but too bad
(Be easy, don't make decisions when you mad)
The path you chose to run alone

So, normally my cable/internet bill is $130. New Comcast deal of Internet+HD cable is for $79.99 but for some reason I cannot add the $10 or so sports package.

I really, really do love my MLB Network, NFL Network, and NFL Redzone (with the occasional NBAtv for 90's Bulls games and Tennis channel for majors), but now that it's essentially $50 for those 5 channels, I don't think I can do it.

Also: while looking at the extra channels they offer, there's a "The Jewish Channel" for $7.99/month.

Lindsay Lohan was sentenced to serve 30 days in jail for a probation violation. Judge Stephanie Sautner sentenced her for violating the terms of her original release by being terminated from a community service assignment at a women's shelter. She will now have to perform all of her community service at the county morgue or risk serving an additional 270 days in jail.

Holy crap I haven't seen a $130 cable/satellite bill since I was introduced to Sunday Ticket, Center Ice, now Extra Innings, and the Fox Sports package...mine's about double that on most months.  I might have a problem.

Happy Pomegranate month! (Thanks for the reminder, ROGS). I love them, but they're messy. And I'm messy. It's not a good combination, but I do spring for juice (pom-raspberry is fantastic) once in awhile.

I went shopping yesterday - yay me! I suck at that stuff though, and yesterday just reminded me once again why I despise it. I did get some apple bottom jeans, no boots with the fur though OR Reeboks with the strap - I'm more of a sandal and DC chick. And can you believe Key West doesn't have shorts or capris on the island? Dubblya Tee Eff, mate?

15 days!!

Well, $80-ish sounds a lot better than $130 too. If I had DirecTV, I probably would add Extra Innings and Sunday Ticket.

It's all over the radio here and Glenda is going to be PISSED.  Can't say I'm that disappointed, though.  As long as Quade got the boot, I'm cool.  Good dude but he was in way over his head.

My thinking is Epstein knew who he was going to hire before taking the Cubs job.  Who does that point to?

Sweet Tea Cure

A woman goes to the doctor with severe bruises and lacerations....

Doctor: "What happened?"

Woman: "Doctor, I don't know what to do. Every time my husband comes home
drunk he beats me to a pulp."

Doctor: "I have a real good medicine for that. When your husband comes home
drunk, just take a glass of sweet tea and start swishing it in your mouth.
Just swish and swish but don't swallow until he goes to bed and is asleep."

Two weeks later, the woman comes back to the doctor looking fresh and

Woman: "Doctor, that was a brilliant idea! Every time my husband came home

me!"

Doctor: "You see how much keeping your f***ng mouth shut helps?"

Anyway, as I was loading my bags into my car a man came up to me and asked if I had some cash so he could catch a bus north. I told him, "I'm sorry, I don't carry cash". This is the conversation that ensued:

Man: Oh ok, thank you anyway. (notices my license plate) what part of Oregon are you from?

Man: I've got a sister up in Portland

A few things before I create some polls...

The new controversy in DC is Coach Boudreau keeping Ovechkin on the bench late in regulation last night. Here's the thing, Ovie deserved it. He was very low energy last night and disappeared for stretches, which is hard to do for him at the Verizon Center, when he's the center of everything. Good for Boudreau for continue to send messages of accountability, even to the stars. I'm also glad Ovie got ticked. Maybe it'll light a fire under him.

IndyCar is getting two new teams for next year. Rahal Letterman Racing is coming back with 2 cars, while Ed Carpenter will be starting his own team with sponsorship from Fuzzy's Vodka. All the naysayers that said IndyCar would lucky to have 20 full-time entries next year with the new car can suck it.

The last three days the temperature outside has been warmer than in my work building. *sigh*

Finally, today would've been my mother's 48th birthday. *Bleep* cancer.

Internet+SD cable is $69.99, HD is an extra $10. What HD channels are those? Just NBC, ABC, FOX, CBS, and other local channels. Why have an HD package with like 12 HD channels?

Whatever, I'll go back to what I had before and get sports channels back.

$50/month less would've been nice though.

At least switching plans isn't of any cost and pretty easily done through chat.

I don't see where this is a problem.

1. I have never/will never watch Psych
2. If I did, I would watch one and DVR the other
3. Bravo is showing the same episode of Top Chef 3 hours in a row, at 7, 8 and 9. Unless Psych is on/showing a different episode for 3 straight hour, you can catch at least one of the showings of Top Chef.

I watched it originally, then kind of lost it for a few years, seeing episodes here and there. Before Season 4 started, I downloaded the first three and ran through those 50 episodes in like 5 days.

It's really just awesome stuff, when/if you want to start, you'll probably get hooked quickly.

Some random thoughts for the day:

1.  I danced for 3.5 hours on Saturday night, with very brief breaks to grab a quick drink, have a pee or recharge when I didn't care for a song - I figure I missed 5 songs in that 3.5 hours.

2.  The gayest of the gay boys at the dance Saturday night woke up on the floor in his hallway Sunday morning.  He couldn't remember how or when he got there, but was thankful he got there.

3.  I work no less than 9 hour shifts for the next two weeks.  I'd rather dance constantly for 3.5 hours every day.

4.  My friend who just got her divorce was terrorized by her ex-husband last night.  She believes that the vandalization of my truck was her ex, as I served him court documents at the beginning of October. My husband says my truck has been leaking oil since at least Thursday last week.  Her ex returned to town on Wednesday.  My truck was parked at the back of the liquor store on Wednesday and I worked late, well after it was dark.

5.  I hadn't heard that your mom had passed from her cancer, Eric, and for that I'm very sorry.  I know you loved her a lot and I know you miss her.  I'll be thinking of you.

7.  I told a man he wasn't allowed in the warehouse today.  It has a clear sign on the door saying STAFF ONLY, but he went into the warehouse anyway.  He went to the Assistant Manager and filed a complaint against me.  then he went to my co-workers and complained to them that I was "rude".  Apparently, because he comes into the store every day to buy his beer and return his cans from the day before, he is supposed to have some kind of preferential treatment.  I believe he should just stay the f**k out of the warehouse and not worry about bitching so much.

It is supposed to snow tonight.  I hope it doesn't.

Enjoy.

 8.  It snowed last night.  Not a lot, but there was snow on the ground when we got up.

9.  It is currently 10F

10.  I worked 12 hours today, moving liquor and beer and restocking shelves, building a few of them and I'm exhausted.

11.  I ate lunch at Dairy Queen today, so it's a good thing I worked 12 hours and it was all physical.  It was Double Cheeseburger meals for $4.99.

12.  Grand re-opening is tomorrow.  Apparently, the president of the Liquor Stores shows up, cuts a ribbon, says 12 words and leaves.  All of our hard work for the past two months is for his 5 minutes. *sigh*
