Last night I shaved. So while Y'all are running around scaring away the ladies with your goofy mustaches and such. I'll be nicely clean shaven and ready to swoop in and charm the hell outta them with my smooth freshly clean shaven mug. Shoot I might be bringing 3 or 4 ladies home with me tonight! Or if this plan doesn't work I'll just go back to my usual plan B, which is Roofies

Happy Friday All
Neo - Champagne Life!

Yes, it's a beautiful day
It's gon' be a beautiful night
Break out the champagne, everybody get a glass
Let's start it off sexy, what do ya say?

And all the ladies say, uh-huh
And all the ladies say, uh-huh
I think I like that
And all the ladies say, uh-huh

Welcome to the champagne life
Where trouble is a bubble in the champagne glass
Dreams and reality are one and the same
And we gon' do it like this

Oh, got an addiction for life and this livin'
Like everyday's my birthday, know what I'm gettin'
And reserved for top notch, that's where I'm sittin'
Me and my friends and found six Miss Independents

And my attitude's so chill and so breezy
In my designer suit, I make this look easy
Sexy baby, don't you dare act like you don't see me
Baby, I know you see me

It's all about them fast car nights
And them big bold days
Livin' this champagne life, everything's okay
Let's toast it up, oh, let's toast it up, oh

Said we play all night and we play all day
Livin' this champagne life, everything's okay
Let's toast it up, oh, baby let's toast it up
Oh, champagne life

I got penthouse property on cloud nine
I got the sun, tell its girls the way I shine
And reserved for top notch, that's how I do mine
A nice meal and a good wine, definition of a good time

Livin' out my dreams, watchin' 'em come true
And baby, I'm a boss, I don't know what they do
And if you're down to ride, come on and I'll take you
I know you want me to take you

To where it's all about them fast car nights
And them big bold days
Livin' this champagne life, everything's okay
Let's toast it up, oh, everybody let's toast it up, ooh

Said could we play all night and we play all day
Livin' this champagne life, everything's okay
Let's toast it up, oh, baby, let's toast it up
Oh, oh, champagne life

Hey, we don't even clap the same when we livin' that champagne life
Sexier than a regular clap
Oh it's a party reserved for top notch
Let's bring it back

Said it's all about them fast car nights
And them big bold days
Livin' this champagne life, everything's okay
So let's toast it up, oh, and everybody let's toast it up, ooh woo

So, oh, oh, oh, could we play all night
And we play all day
Livin' this champagne life, everything's okay
Let's toast it up, oh, baby, let's toast it up

Oh, champagne life

Reminder from my roommate last night made me realize I was going to Chicago for the weekend to see my married friends. They moved there a couple of months ago (about a week after the marriage), and so I'll see if they want to kill each other yet, or hiding the fact that they want to kill each other.

Because I'm gone the whole weekend, I'll be missing LSU/Alabama tomorrow night, and for the few college football games that I'm actually excited about in a season, that was one of them.

Will be my first time in Chicago, and was/am really hoping to check out some restaurants there, although I'm really the only foodie, or anything close to being one, out of the 3 people I'll be with. When I asked my friend Nick on where he was thinking dinner tonight would be, he mentioned pizza (I'm thinking awesome...deep dish) and that a Domino's was nearby.

Rick Bayless' Frontera Grill would kind of be out of the way (for you non-celebrity chef people, that's Skip Bayless' brother...and the complete opposite of everything Skip is), but I've met him before and had some of his food, and would love to go to his place. It's first come-first served/limited reservation there too, so we'd have a shot of getting in.

See you all either Sunday night or Monday.

Someone is in a bad mood today.  Lighten' up, it's "Fv*k it Friday."

- KANER continues his torrid play last night in Florida scoring the game winner in the SO.  8-2-2.  JSwol loves it!

- Sunny and The League were hysterical last night.  I like how both shows mocked social media.  I about lost it when they got shushed in the gin bar and of course at the end when the culprit walked into Paddy's.  Good stuff!

- Anyone else sick of hearing about Bama/LSU?  It's going to be a great game, but ESPiN is making it sound like it's the game of the century.  While I love great defensive play, this game features two mediocre at best QBs.  I wish there were going to be better quarterback play in this game, but oh well....I won't be watching for the most part anyways.  There's only one team I watch in my house, right Rudy?

Morning.

So........the Kings decided not to score last night. That makes it 6 periods of NO GOALS I've seen live.  Oh.....and mark down another fluky goal to get things started, a non- goalie interference call on the 2nd, and a let's stand around and let the Oiler dude poke it in on the third. Other than that, according to Coach Murray, the Kings had a strong effort. To which my response to that was a BIG  and other choice words and mean thoughts. They better get their sh*T together on Saturday. BOOOOOOOO!

In other news------------I'm tired, it's raining (F me.............it better stop by the time I get to school), and I am currently very jealous of Max. Little Fer is snoozing under a blanket all comfy and stuff----jerkhole.

Have a whoo hoo day. May you all avoid any potholes.

Happy Friday, Everybodee!

We're expecting a storm coming through, with this weird wet stuff falling (according to the weatherman's crystal ball.)    Band attending football game tonight.  Homecoming game.  First half of the game I won't be in the stands with them, I get to help with the fireworks again.

How the hell did you manage to smoke a semi-truck?  Those things are pretty ginormous, woman.

CollegeGamedayFriday:
LSU  has a blonde haired black dude nicknamed "The Honey Badger" that's apparently been in cryostasis for 20 years.
artists rendition:

The only way I see Bama dealing with him is by unfreezing John Spartan (maybe this guy, idk? He has football experience-ish) or just go with Bear Bryant's head Futurama style.

I like LSU and their "ethnic mayhem" dude over the All-State-less Tide. (Saban just comes across as a Nationwide kinda guy.)

What's a pate number?  Why didn't you follow him?  Why didn't you call the "How am I driving number?"  Why didn't you swerve to miss him?  Sounds like it was your fault IMO.

Also, you have any pics of your whip w/ damage?  As a former insurance adjuster, I'm curious.

I'm with JSwol on the LSU-Bama thing.  I don't have a dog in the hunt, but I really want LSU to go in there and blow out Alabama.  It's going to be one of those things where everything is blown out of proportion.  LSU can keep Richardson in check, and Bama can keep whoever LSU goes with at QB in check.  So it's going to be a close game.  This will be Bama's first test (Arkansas edges S.Carolina as the most overrated team in the country, Florida is not who the SEC worshippers thought they were, and Penn St. has the 102nd ranked scoring offense in the country).. And for those drinking the kool-aid out there, you want to know how "tough" it is to play in the SEC week in and week out? Over the last three weeks, Bama has outscored Vandy, Ole Miss, and Tennessee 123-13, and LSU has outscored Tennessee, Florida and Auburn 124-28.. Yeah, that's frightening.
LSU 23 - Bama 20

Avs are in Big D (giggity) tonight to take on Kari Lehtonen and the Stars.  Oh, and Becky, I feel your pain about the Kings not scoring at home, the Avs can't do it either.

I read somebody's comment in yesterday's filter about the video that came out with the Texas judge who beat his daughter.  I forgot to comment on it, but it seems like it's a cultural thing based on where you were raised as to what your beliefs are as to what your stance is on the video.  Evidently a lot of stereotypes from the south are true.  I just hate to see what that judge would have done if his daughter brought a black guy home

I need to go set up my Myface wall, but before I go, it's the Stone Cold Vice Grip Locks of the Week, brought to you by Astroglide

 y.

i understand your frustration.  how is the weather in Biloxi?

Canes vs Caps tonight.  Usually a great game all the way around.

I ran 3 miles last night (walked another).  I'm not a runner, haven't done something like that in like 20 years.  but if those women are always there, my knee might have to take one for the team.

Roll Tide.  (unless Michelle calls me then Geaux Tigers).

Go Big Red!!

In a game I care absolutely nothing about, I want SoCal to beat the ever living S*** out of Colorado.

Canes have the Stars on Sunday.

Anybody recommend a good masseuse?  (preferably female)

It's your fault because you should of accounted for the wind gust that blew his trailer into your car.  That and it's a known fact Wolverine fans can't drive for sh*t.  Kind of surprising considering you're so close to the automobile capital of the world.

Did someone say foot?  Seriously, I hope it's not too bad.  rest, ice and elevate.  Hopefully no surgery is required.

Morning Q'ers....going to spend the afternoon doing house calls....daughter has to go to the liar's LAWYER's office today for consultation about the ankle she broke on Christmas Eve '09....been fighting with the ins. co, and they want to pay $1000...TOTAL...for surgery, hospital, etc.  HA!  Anesthesia alone was $1400 out of pocket........

It hasn't started raining here yet....maybe it will, maybe it won't (gosh...I'd LOVE to be a weatherman where I could say a "50% chance of rain" which means 1. It might rain, or 2. It might NOT rain.

Rangers won last night, 2-1 in a shootout over the Ducks (sorry Jess).  They had 19 shots through 2 periods-much improved-but in the 3rd period had just 4.  Back to the same old Rangers.

Thanks Marcus.. The Raiders could have Jim Palmer and his jockeys playing QB (necessary dated pop culture reference) and I'd still take them to cover.  Even with no Darren McFadden, Michael Bush and whoever his backup will be (Champ Bailey doesn't know either, he referred to him as #22) should have a good day on the ground.  Throw in the fact Broncos head coach John Fox, and OC Mike McCoy have NO idea what kind of offense to run with Tebow and this has the makings of another 25-30 point loss.  The Broncos clearly had no plans to use Tebow this year, had no special package of plays for certain situations like red zone and short yardage (two huge areas of need the past couple years), and right now, don't have the imagination to take what they have and use it to the best of their abilities. I'm certainly no Tebow apologist, but there's no doubt in my mind the Broncos would be better off having Tebow just run around out of the shotgun with 3 receivers than trying to play a west coast run/play action pass style offense.  It's stubbornness and lack of imagination and I don't see any change coming, so I don't see any close games coming for the Broncos

Speaking of the Kardashians, I heard Kris Humphries was the second choice to marry Kim.  Danilo Gallinari apparently turned down the role.  If that's true, he just became the 4th coolest dude in the NBA behind D Rose, Durant, and Birdman.

Hola amigos y amigas

It's Raining! And it's cold out so since today is casual Friday at work, so I am wearing my brown boots(the have some fur) and jeans. This makes me happy

So I came into work this morning and set up my station to start my day. Starting at Halloween and going thru Christmas we have candy bowls at our desks for our customers. This morning I notice this Baby Ruth mini candy sitting on the counter by my phone, looks like something chewed thru it. Yes we have a mouse. Then the Wiglet looks around her desk and there is an open candy on hers too...we are checking the camera's to see if we can see it. (yes we have a lot of free time on our hands.) I took a picture of the Baby Ruth..

I am completely disgusted and I sanitized my whole work station!!

Have a great day everyone, hopefully my life will be back to normal soon!

You want to see cocky?  I'm the only Chicago fan in a NFL pickem league with a bunch of buddies from college.  Anyways, this is what I was told in regards to my Hawks chances just a few days ago.

---------------------------DETROIT RED WINGS:  That was a rough way to lose to Minnesota, again.  Though we did equal their overtime win earlier....  I do agree with slappy windy pants John, Chicago is good.  They will likely make the playoffs.  However, that was in deep jeopardy even just last year.  How short your memory?  It will be close again, but I think you will make the playoffs.  Then, you never know in hockey.  Which goalie is hot, who is scoring, etc....  Truth be told though, I am more nervous about the wild than Chicago in the playoffs.  You can see why.  3 games, all very close.  The wings will have 100 points after this season as well.  Not sure Chicago will tip the 3 digit scale....

And for the record, I know the Cubs suck, the Bears are slightly better than average, and my Irish aren't nearly as good as I though they were preseason.  I endured quite a bit of trash talk from Wings fans (***cough Hull cough***) too.  Just giving it back a little.

Afternoon

So, so you think you can tell
Heaven from Hell,
Blue skys from pain.
Can you tell a green field
From a cold steel rail?
A smile from a veil?
Do you think you can tell?
And did they get you to trade
Your heros for ghosts?
Hot ashes for trees?
Hot air for a cool breeze?
Cold comfort for change?
And did you exchange
A walk on part in the war
For a lead role in a cage?
How I wish, how I wish you were here.
We're just two lost souls
Swimming in a fish bowl,
Year after year,
Running over the same old ground.
What have we found?
The same old fears.
Wish you were here.

 Good day, bitches.

I'd like to paraphrase a conversation at work today.  We were discussing how some areas are holding Halloween (like it's some floating, arranged event) tomorrow because either A) it snowed here, you know, 2 days before actual Halloween, or B) Mondays are just so gosh-darned inconvenient for people to trick or treat.

So I went on a tear about how ridiculous that is.  You can't hold a set day, like Halloween, on a completely different date just because you find it more convenient.  Do they ever bump Christmas up a few days due to inclement weather?  Is Thanksgiving moved so it can be on a weekend?  No.  NO.  They don't.  And do you know why?  Because it's stupid and you can't just up and move a holiday just because.  There is a significance to the holiday.  You can't take centuries of tradition and push it back like that.  I refuse to buy into it, I won't give treats out on 11/5.  F*ck that!

*** 10 second pause ***

Kim: You ate all your Halloween candy, didn't you?
Me:  Yes.

PS - Alicia, it's not at all your fault ... JD is just being a tool.
PPS - JD ...  you.
PPPS - Stoney, I don't think it's so much a north/south thing ... I think it's a scummy child abuser/non-scummy child abuser thing.

  Wow.

You people need to remind me to do the "Week in Review" thing. I keep forgetting. Working on today's now though.

I woke up with a migraine at 7am, took an Excedrin Migraine and went back to sleep. I had a dream that my husband turned into the biggest jerk on the face of the planet, in a few different ways. His phone call woke me up - poor guy. He hates my dreams about as much as I do, I think. Then I got on the elliptical...Pop-Up Video is spectacular for that, by the way.

I heart projects.

I'm on a grammar nazi kick again, thanks to a link shared on facebook and then one sent to me via email by one of my friends. Hilarious.

My mom posted a comment on my FB wall reminding me that two weeks from this morning she'll be sitting at my table drinking coffee. I'm so excited.

Today was the only Friday of the month that I'll be at work. Next week is Veteran's Day, the 18th I'll either be at the Pittsburgh Whiskey Festival or sitting on a jury (hopefully the former), and the last Friday is of course the day about T'giving. Woo.

I was so busy I forgot to plan something for this weekend. Oops.

After last night's performance, I'd be surprised if anyone but Roger Craig wins Nerd World Series (Jeopardy Tournament of Champions for those not around yesterday). Also, I'd be surprised if there's a funnier moment than this the rest of the tournament.

It's almost time to introduce Mike to the family.  IDK if they'll be able to hide their surprise that he's a few shades darker than I am.  This is going to be fun.

In news of the weird...this is a face....on a testicular tumor.  Spooky.

I'm trying to figure out what to get my happy ass into this weekend.  All this talk about spanking, well,....
It's given me some ideas.

I know this, you know this, but how many times a year do you hear analysts talk about how tough it is to play in the SEC week after week? And how that is reflected in rankings and computer models

Agreed. Its absolutely ridiculous. Theres LSU, 'bama ... and Georgia (on a good day). Thats it. If the SEC was any other conference in the country this year, the hype machine that is the national "SEC luvfest" media would be saying repeatedly how it was such a down year for the conference. But NOT since its the beloved SEC. I cant wait to watch OVERATED and mediocre at best SEC teams get pounded in Bowl games by middle of the pack teams from some of those "inferior" conferences.

P.S...... How many wins do you thnk those Powerhouse teams like Arkansas or So Carolina would have if they had to run a gauntlet thru a month of Wisconsin, Nebraska, Michigan State, Ohio State .... or ..... Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, Missouri, KState ... or .... USC, Stanford, Oregon, Arizona?   LMAO

And just cuz I'm feelin' a little old school

[Intro]
Snooooooooooop..
Snooooooooooop..

[Chorus - Snoop Dogg]
When the pimp's in the crib ma
Drop it like it's hot
Drop it like it's hot
Drop it like it's hot
When the pigs try to get at ya
Park it like it's hot
Park it like it's hot
Park it like it's hot
And if a ni**a get a attitude
Pop it like it's hot
Pop it like it's hot
Pop it like it's hot
I got the rolly on my arm and I'm pouring Chandon
And I roll the best w**d cause I got it going on

[Verse - Pharrell Williams]
Uh! I'm a nice dude, with some nice dreams
See these ice cubes, see these Ice Creams?
Eligible bachelor, million dollar boat
That's whiter than what's spilling down your throat
The Phantom, exterior like fish eggs
The interior like suicide wrist red
I can excercise you, this can be your Phys. Ed
Cheat on your man ma, that's how you get ahizzead
Killer wit the beat, I know killers in the street
Wit the steel that'll make you feel like Chinchilla in the heat
So don't try to run up on my ear talking all that raspy s**t
Trying to ask me s**t
When my ni**az fill ya vest they ain't gon pass me s**t
You should think about it, take a second
Matter fact, you should take four B
And think before you f**k wit lil skateboard P

[Chorus]

[Verse - Snoop Dogg]
I'm a gangsta, but y'all knew that
Da Big Bo$$ Dogg, yeah I had to do that
I keep a blue flag hanging out my backside
But only on the left side, yeah that's the Crip side
Ain't no other way to play the game the way I play
I cut so much you thought I was a DJ
[scratches] "two!" - "one!" - "yep, three!"
S-N double O-P, D-O double G
I can't fake it, just break it, and when I take it
See I specialize in making all the girls get naked
So bring your friends, all of y'all come inside
We got a world premiere right here, now get live!
So don't change the dizzle, turn it up a little
I got a living room full of fine dime brizzles
Waiting on the Pizzle, the Dizzle and the Shizzle
G's to the bizzack, now ladies here we gizzo

[Chorus]

[Verse - Snoop Dogg]
I'm a Bad Boy, wit a lotta ho's
Drive my own cars, and wear my own clothes
I hang out tough, I'm a real Bo$$
Big Snoop Dogg, yeah he's so sharp
On the TV screen and in the magazines
If you play me close, you're on a red beam
Oh you got a gun so you wanna pop back?
AK47 now ni**a, stop that!
Cement shoes, now I'm on the move
Your family's crying, now you on the news
They can't find you, and now they miss you
Must I remind you I'm only here to twist you
Pistol whip you, dip you then flip you
Then dance to this motherf**king music we crip to
Subscribe ni**a, get yo issue
Baby come close, let me see how you get loose!

[Chorus]

[Outro]
Snooooooooooop.
Snooooooooooop..

Homecoming football game last night.  We lost.  (21-0)  But we had kick-a** fireworks  I got to hand fire more this time, and in a steady sequence.  No photos, unfortunately, as we had rain last night, so we kept cameras put away.

Our school principal was invited over, as well as the opposing team's principal.  (we were on their field playing our home game.)   They were wearing the protective gear, but didn't want to fire any, not entirely sure what to expect.   They were about 10 feet away when the first one went off.  First words out of our principal when it fired was "Oh s**t! That was loud!"  But he had fun watching it all go off.

Don't ever panic against Pitt as long as Tino Sunseri is the QB.  He's a steaming pile of garbage.  That high-octane football Todd Graham wants to implement won't come to fruition until Sunseri graduates.

We've already exceeded my expectations for where I thought we'd be at this point in the season.  I'm really not going to ask for a whole lot next week.  That way, if we win, I can be pleasantly surprised.

Paranormal Activity 3 today, I think.

A good friend of mine is at the Steeler's game today.  I'm insanely jealous of her.

I was driving out to lunch earlier, listening to jazz on the radio...it was an AWESOME lineup to have the nice cool fall air blowing into the car with my windows down and sunroof open.  First Jelly Roll Morton, then  Duke Ellington, then Willie "the Lion" Smith (it was like experiencing the Harlem Renaissance) followed by Fats Domino and they worked in some gospel with Mahalia Jackson.  Some moments remind me of how wonderful life really is.  That was one of those moments that went on for a while.
