there's a gallery at the top floor of the texas state library that i would go and visit daily even though the exhibits lasted 4 months. there was an exhibit by a guy named rocky schenck and all his pictures were so haunting and so beautiful at the same time. this was my favorite:

well on saturday morning, i found a video game on the xbox called limbo. and the whole thing looks just like this picture. it's 2-dimensional, it's black and white and fadey, it's gorey and it's scary as hell.

all it is is scary puzzles. but a lot of bad stuff happens and i scream alot when i play. and then i laugh and tell myself it's just a stupid video game. the story is about a little boy who has died and he's now stuck in limbo. oh god it's so creepy! i love it.

i wish my face would just fall off today. i have an admirer. he's a mailman, so he can stalk pretty openly without seeming creepy. thing is he's not our mailman. pretty sure he just wants to stare at my as.....tros shrine.

Actually we need one more answer option for J to make a celebrity death match bracket. It's either charlie sheen or richard branson. Hell that's a pretty good play-in mtach up. (Falling out of the top 8 this week: Actual Zombie Jacko, Herman Cain, Lilo, The Biebs, his crazy baby momma and Snooki)

Good Morning, Everybodee!

Well, Friday night fireworks was awesome.  Was Homecoming game.   We didn't take photos because of the rain, but apparently our principal had pulled out his phone and took a video.  He posted it up on youtube.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xxCeD8yUp8E

He even popped into the video a couple of times, laughing maniacally.

Happy Monday.....t-minus 7.5 hours till Bears/Eagles kickoff.....

- So LSU/Bama was the "Game of the Century," eh?  Maybe if you like snoozefests.  Both defenses are really good, but the offenses are terrible.  Hopefully Stanford gets a shot at LSU provided my Irish don't upset them later this month.

I did rather enjoy this, though.

This brawl from the tailgate is pretty funny as well.

- Notre Dame pitched a shutout in the 2nd half to defeat Wake Forest 24-17.  I'm happy only because we won despite numerous injuries to key guys.  In short, they took care of business and 9-3 is still possible.

- Loved seeing the start of the annual Michigan collapse.  Iowa, fresh off the loss to Minnesota (perhaps the worst D1 team in the land), used a solid running game and stout defense to get the W.  My Michigan friends hate me right now due to my attempts at sounding like a Hawk all game long.  The sooner they realize Denard isn't a QB, the better.  He looked lost out there.

- If there is a better QB than Aaron Rodgers, I'd like to see it.  Hate the Pack, but I give props where props are due.  The guy is a beast.  The only chink in his armor are concussion issues....and they look to be a thing of the past because he learned how to slide and release the ball quicker when in danger.  Fv*k my life.  Green Bay is gonna be good for a LONG time.

- Hawks had a a rough weekend - losing to Tamba Bay in OT and getting crushed by Vancouver last night.  I don't want to talk about it.

- Last but not least, my Western Michigan Broncos earned a split with Michigan over the weekend.  My boys look strong this year!  Coach Murray looks like he'll be a great fit.  Sitting at 6-1-3 (4-1-1 in conference) is a great start.  Sparty is up next.

Oh yeah, the Penn State scandal is absolutely disgusting.  I hope Sandusky rots in hell.

There are just so many ways you could go with this scene....the guy crying has been MIA from Rivals since Saturday.  Then again, so are 90% of the Bammers.  Thank you LSU - the main board is so peaceful today (for a change).

3. i can't get the song "Dream Chaser" by Firewind out of my head

Whatup?
"If the playoffs started today"... I hate that cliche'. That being said, if they did (which they don't) the Bengals & Texans would have 1st round byes and home field in the AFC.
Okay, now that I'm awake from that dream. Alabama v LSU was not a snooze fest. It wasn't the game of the century either, but if you like to see pads clacking, head knocking, hard hitting football that was it. Maybe it's just me, but I loved it. Best 9-6 game ever.
So was last night's game (sorry Joe). My pre-season Super Bowl prediction Green Bay/ Baltimore is still looking good. Unless a certain little squad from down in Texas can bust up that lil' party (no Leigh, I'm still not drinking...yet)

Maybe "snoozefest" was the wrong word.  The offenses, specifically the quarterback play, left a lot to be desired.  Trent Richardson is a manchild.  I'm anxious to see how his game translates to the NFL.

Yup I agree. No Hieseman Trophies will be decided from the game for sure. But a lot of those kids we saw on Saturday we will see em on Sundays pretty soon. P.S. Forgot to mention Oprah & Tyler "Madea" Perry were in H-town at Joel Osteen's super mega whopper church yesterday and neither one stopped by for tea after...skunks.

First and foremost, the Steelers secondary sucks ape b***s. I hate football, HATE. Yay, Monday Night Football tonight.

While my weekends blew in general, watching the Patriots lose, again, was fabulous.

Holy hell has it been a Monday..
I'm sure there were things I wanted to talk about, but I can't really remember what they are anymore.
Avs suck at home, I remembered that...
Penn State has gone from linebacker U to shower time with boys U.. ew
No matter what happened yesterday, Eli Manning is NOT an elite QB
The power of the gospel won out over the thieves, murderers, and rapists yesterday as Jesus led Tim Tebow and the Broncos past the heathens from Oakland.  Nothing sweeter than watching the Raiders lose at home.. Except rubbing it in the faces of Raiders fans.

Haven't watched Walking Dead yet, need to do that tonight after an all new House... I missed House last week, is that asian boy still around?

I started reading one of my favorite books of all time again this weekend, The Tropic of Capricorn by Henry Miller. $1 on kindle made me happy

Alright, back to work, but look for the latest NHL week in review later on tonight Oh, and thank you to everyone who has been reading the crap I've been throwing out there

 this is a nyce F/E.

Huskers lost.  Redskins lost.  Hurricanes lost TWICE.  At home.  10-3.  For those counting at home.

Saw "Despicable Me".  Good movie.  Cute.  Whatever.

LSU/Bama was not great.  4 missed FG's.  No major offensive drives?  While I guess the defense could be recommended for that, personally i think it was just 2 inept offenses in that game.

Where is Ashley?  no offense marcus.

#18 | 1049 days ago

Oh, and my take on the Bama-LSU game... It can't be the game of the century when the 8 most memorable plays are missed FGs and interceptions and when the best offensive player on the winning team was the punter.  It was also banned to the smaller TV in my living room for the second half so I could enjoy an exciting OSU-Kansas St game

Aside from the Steelers secondary doing the Ravens all sorts of favors last night, I, unlike Joe, had a decent football weekend.  Louisville's three conference wins in a row made me a happy happy joy joy girl.

It is a beautiful day here in The Ville.  Imma get out and cruise for a bit here in the next hour or so, before the sun sets at 4:30 and The Great Depression sets in again.

And for my listening pleasure as I leisurely drive around the city...Ladies, Germs, and One-eyed freaks, I present to you....The Indigo Girls.
Galileo's head was on the block
the crime was looking up for truth
and as the bombshells of my daily fears explode
I try to trace them to my youth

And then you had to bring up reincarnation
over a couple of beers the other night
and now I'm serving time for mistakes
made by another in another lifetime

How long till my soul gets it right
can any human being ever reach that kind of light
I call on the resting soul of galileo
king of night vision, king of insight

And then I think about my fear of motion
which I never could explain
some other fool across the ocean years ago
must have crashed his little airplane

How long till my soul gets it right
can any human being ever reach that kind of light
I call on the resting soul of galileo
king of night vision, king of insight

I'm not making a joke, you know me
I take everything so seriously
if we wait for the time till all souls get it right
then at least I know there'll be no nuclear annihilation
in my lifetime I'm still not right

I offer thanks to those before me
that's all I've got to say
'cause maybe you squandered big bucks in your lifetime
now I have to pay
but then again it feels like some sort of inspiration
to let the next life off the hook
but she'll say "look what I had to overcome from my last life
I think I'll write a book"

How long till my soul gets it right
can any human being ever reach the highest light
except for Galileo God rest his soul
(except for the resting soul of Galileo)
king of night vision, king of insight

How long
(till my soul gets it right)
[til we reach the highest light]
how long
(till my soul gets it right)
[til we reach the highest light]
how long

C)  So, my brother and I are organizing a surprise 60th birthday party for my mom.  I never like doing anything WITH my brother, mostly because we haven't gotten along ever since he took a big dump in my fish bowl when I was a kid, but also because he f**ks everything up and then I look bad along with him, by association.  But he insisted on going through with it and wanted to spearhead most of the planning/organizing, while I dealt with the gift and the music situation.  OK.

Now, after weeks of planning, he finally has the place set, the cost outlined, invitations, etc.  And then he throws in the fact that "since mom is such a big Elvis fan, I got everyone these souvenir Elvis wine bottles and decided to make everything in an Elvis theme".    Sounds awesome, right?

Except that my mom isn't really an Elvis fan.    She loves the Beatles.  Always has.  Always will.  She has Beatles albums, autographs,  serving trays, mugs, a framed charcoal painting of them, t-shirts, Beatle-opoly.
Once again, he has managed to make this a disaster at, practically, the 11th hour.  Ugh.

3. Daylight Savings Time is f***ing ridiculous. If I could, I'd go back in time and b*tch slap Ben Franklin.

4. Did I mention Patriots Lose Again?

I wouldn't send it here.

I don't know about Walla Walla, but here Chinese restaurants love little dogs.

Do you have a Kindle?  Or any other e-reader (or compatible software/app)?  If so, I can lend you the book for 2 weeks via email.
Let me get through this week so I can finish up most of my school work, then I can give it a lot more attention.  Especially If I can read over Thanksgiving weekend.  Although I MIGHT buy it on kindle since it's only $2.99.

I hate fantasy football!!! ROGS John Daly (that's not really your name is it? Hehe the golfer) I say we both retire and boycott fantasy football.

This message brought to you from me because I'm gonna lose tonight cause that f**king scrub Marion Barber who gets 4 carries a game,  scored a t.d.....So F**K YOU FANTASY FOOTBALL AND F**K YOU MARION BARBER!!! I hope you get AIDS infested Herpes and die a slow painful death

Any game where I can lose because of someone who plays .5% of the game can go to hell!!

Are you sure it isn't a lady in a thong, with her oddly shaped legs spread and a tattoo on her left hip/leg/buttcheek region?

Oh, and my take on the Bama-LSU game... It can't be the game of the century when the 8 most memorable plays are missed FGs and interceptions and when the best offensive player on the winning team was the punter.  It was also banned to the smaller TV in my living room for the second half so I could enjoy an exciting OSU-Kansas St game
It was the first college game I've watched this year and I loved the punter the most!
Plus he may be Peter Parker:

Oh, and when I saw crying dude, I wondered if he'd just lost the weekend cottage or some sh**? Crazy.
