Welcome back. This is the part of the locker room where you can sit and chat and chill for a while without offending or being shushed. Maybe you wanna watch a dvd or listen to your mp3. Yes, I rhymed. Something on your mind, post it! Random question, ask it? Hijacking is allowed and encouraged. Join the party, troll around, have a beer. It's cool. All are welcome, but please leave all BS in the hall.

Morning. That's really all I have. I can't seem to get untired.

"Don't make me take off my bible belt" made me laugh this morning.

I couldn't find my car earlier and I was just about to file a stolen car report, when I remembered I left it at the bar on Saturday night.

Great weekend of football...

The SEC again proves why it's the BEST conference in the land and will at worst have a shot winning a 6th BCS Championship in-a-row.

RG III is serious fun to watch but OU's defense (like most BIG XII's D) reminds me of the Tom Petty song 'Great Wide Open'.

My VOLS BEAT VANDY IN OT...(yes, our season is that sad but it is what it is).

My BOYS edged the Skins in the oldest of childhood games in OT and ended the day in 1st place due to the Eagles dumpin the NYGs...

Lastly, some humor for this Monday....

My wife said to me the other night"How come we don't make love like they do in the movies?"

So I bent her over the table, slapped her on each a** cheek a dozen times, grabbed her

by the hair and yanked her neck back so she'd be forced to watch me jackhammer

her from behind, then flipped her over and c** on her face....

Turns out we don't watch the same movies.

Have a great MONDAY

Bittersweet Monday....

- My Bears lost Cutty for the remainder of the regular season to a thumb injury.  SUCKS as he was playing very well.  In Hanie we trust!  3-3 is very manageable down the stretch, though I think Oakland wins this Sunday.

- My Irish also lost a key player, Jonas Gray, to a knee injury.  I feel horrible for the kid.  Highly recruited to the doghouse in the Weis era....to a kid that played himself into a draft pick.  Godspeed, Jonas - hope to see you in the NFL someday.  ND still won the rivalry game with BC, though.  On to Stanford this Sunday and yours truly will be in attendance.  Go Irish!

- The Hawks?  Don't want to talk about it.  TERRIBLE weekend.  Must right the ship in SanJo.

- Counting down the hours until vacation....t minus 45 hours.

Hope everyone has a SWELL day!

In honor of the "slow motion" option, I present Juvenile's best CD.  Track #4 is tops.

Morning.

I can't type much, as I'm currently addicted (and I mean really, really addicted) to this website: http://www.thisiswhyimbroke.com/

I already found the perfect gift for my newlywed friends/huge Harry Potter nerds, a magic wand remote control.

Becky's gift is easily this: a zombie doorstop

And I already marked about 20 things for myself.

Umm, finished Dante's Inferno last night, thanks again, Ash. Now reading the Divine Comedy.

You guys were looking really good.  OL was blocking and give Jay time...both my COWBOY rejects were doing well for you and that D is still a force.

I say go get Marc Bulger out of retirement...he knows the system well.

Gotta have faith in Caleb Hanie, though I've heard we'll sign a veteran as insurance (good call on Bulger).  Hanie almost led us back vs the Packers in the NFC title game last year and he's been in the system for a few years now.  We'll just have to go back to the old Bears recipe of defense + special teams.  We got the Super Bowl with Rex Grossman so I'm not too worried.

Buenos Dias, $h*theads!

I'm not doing the news today, at least not yet.  I have stuff to do thats more imprtant than edJACKating u F'ers right now.  I do have one thing to bring up to your attention, though.  Over the weekend, I read an article about a poll that was conducted in Wisconsin or some other $h*tty place with a lot of F'n snow.  Anyhow, it was basically some kind of "who would you trust" or popularity poll.  The first part is absof**kinglutely great.....No brett Favre.  Mississippi farm boy don't make the cut, at all.  I guess that little deal about stabbing-all-your-fans-directly-in-the-heart-and-playing-for-one-of-your-all-time-biggest-rivals-just-to-satisfy-your-ginormous-ego-while-f**king-over-your-old-boss routine didn't sit so well with the Cheeseheads after all.  So, I digress.  Back to the poll.  Aaron Rodgers finished third in this poll, being beaten out only by Jesus Christ (not the Tebow version) and Abraham Lincoln.  I'm thinking to myself  "d*mn that mother F'er gots a lot of love".  Then I read on and find out the real meat of the story.... JESUS FINISHED IN SECOND PLACE!

How come nobody ever points out that the SEC plays the weakest nonconference schedule of any conference therefore boosting their records and making it seem like they are a little better than they are? "Playing in the SEC every week is a grind".. Watching Florida struggle against Furman sure helped. Let's just get this over with on Friday when LSU destroys Arkansas, who hasn't beaten anyone this year.  But then again, why would anyone point THAT out? It's more fun saying the other conferences never play anyone.  Ugh

Avs played really well last night against the Sharks, outshot them 37-18 and still lost 4-1.. Damn you Patrick Marleau

Congrats to smoke making things right in the world of Nascar

Morning.

Kings played with no balls on Saturday. Have I mentioned that I hate when the Wings come to town----too much red. At least they (the Wings ) beat the Ducks too.

USC won on Saturday (THAT was their bowl game...lol) and ruined Oregon's chances at a National title. That was nice.  It looked cold there-----------good thing I'm headed that direction tomorrow.

Now.....The Walking Dead. They are lucky they got me loyal last season because this season is KILLING ME. KILLING. ME. I want everyone to be zombie food but Glen, farmer's daughter, the kids, Daryl, and one of the oldies-----there has to be an oldie.....either Hershel or DAle will do. Thank goodness for the Talking Dead show that follows. Such great nerdy goodness shoved into a half hour time slot. And I always learn new words -----like----"flesh nuggets," etc.....I think that is the one that tickled me. I'm sleepy, so I may have made that one up. I don't know. I still have questions. How did they round up all those walkers? Are a couple chickens sufficient food for walkers? And Andrea------what a nut grab? She must have been overcome with her walker kills because Shane, though his abs are lovely, is CRAAAAzY. The scene would have been better if the horn they "bumped" into awoken nearby walkers and they were overtaken. Anyways......I'm back in next Sunday for the half season finale episode----what the heck is that? They better use the break to get back to killing walkers.....maybe even move off the farm and bring back dude who couldn't kill his wife and his son.

Lastly.....shout out to Mila Kunis and Kristin Cavalari (sp?) for making good on their word to attend the Marine Corps Ball. Well done ladies.

Have a smack worthy day. Remember to finger wave.

Tony Stewart...yes it's over. He won the title last night and it came down to last night's race. It was a big deal.

Rednecks turned left for 3-ish hours and someone won the race and someone won a championship, Smoke is Tony Stewart. Not that I know of, if it is then it should be given to the methhead NASCAR driver, I can't remember his name right now. I don't judge guys on cuteness, so I am not qualified to answer this. Yes(I think).

Oh okay. I think he was signing autographs at a Racetrac or Raceway...something on Tara Blvd last year. Are the drivers rednecks, too? (I've never really known what a redneck was, I'm gonna google that in a sec). I don't know what it came down to this race means. Confused, but okay.  Thanks guys.

Good Morning, Everybodee!

Went out with my daughter and some band members this weekend for a final push on their fund raising.  (They are selling the holiday greenery; wreaths, bows, garland).   They were supposed to have turned it in on Friday, as they have no school this week.  But since the band director is placing the final order on Wednesday, it gave us a few days grace period for them to rack up some additional sales.   (Heh, I say additional, but many hadn't made any sales, or even gone out trying.  You know how it is, shy, talking to strangers.)

But I took them out in a group, and they were more comfortable, and made some sales.  Yay, them.   And while we were out yesterday, we had heard that video of our Pageant performance was posted on YouTube.  (I've already posted the link yesterday.)  (I even saw myself at the front edge of the field taking photos.)

Hola amigos y amigas!

I hate Mondays. This morning I woke up and it was foggy outside. I hate cold weather and I don't really like driving in fog.

My weekend was pretty boring, I didn't do much of anything. This week should be an easy one at work though. Tomorrow I have a meeting most of the day, Wednesday we close at 3, off Thursday and Friday we close at 3. I have a Jury summons for Wednesday so I have to call on Tuesday night and see if I still need to go. I know some people don't like Jury Duty but I don't mind it so much.

I was also happy that USC beat Oregon on Saturday.  And the Raiders beat the Vikings on Sunday. All in all it was a good weekend!

Hope all of you have an amazingly wonderful day!!

Day 2 of vacation, so far so good. All packed, just finishing up getting ready to head to Phx to catch a flight to Jacksonville tonight. In less than 12 hours I will be on a plane headed to NYC. Janet or Lainey if you want to meet me at JFK tomorrow morning, I have a 3 hour layover. I am disappointed that I won't be able to see how my burger special sells next week. We are doing a Thanksgiving burger, it is a Turkey burger with a cranberry chutney, a portion of dressing, on a piece of texas toast and topped with turkey gravy.

I might have picked the direty mind option but wasn't sure what a direty mind was.  I might waste it tho.

Huskers didn't play (read: show up).  Need a new DC.

Redskins played better than I thought they would.  I'm sure 99.9% of the Cow*** fans who talked about how they were going to trounce the Skins are now saying "A W is a W"

Canes won, beat the Maple Leafs.  I'm still hoping for a coaching change, although I know of no one that I really want who is available.

I was given permission from Fart the other night to do a drunk poll (like I need her permission) but when I got home, my internet was down.

The lady I threw around a couple of weeks ago?  Saw her the other night.  Looked like some other men had become aware of her tendency to be friendly with lots of alcohol.  Good for them.

I went out with my teacher last night.  Had a good time.  Apparently I can come across as a playa, but we are still going to hang out some.  I did get the good night kiss.

While out this morning, this popped up on the Ipod so, Ladies and Gentlemen, Bloodhound Gang:

You know that you have to be an absolute little beyotch if a F'n kicker calls you a punk.

Random question:

1. Are the Chargers players and coaching staff still getting paid? If so, why?
2. Why do I watch the BCS SEC Love Fest Rankings every Sunday night?
3. Is Jay Cutler still consider to be a tough guy? Broken thumb, done for the season, really?
4. Kenne, how many times have you forgot where your cars is in the past 60 days? Seriously dude, you may have a problem.
5. Why are people still thinking there will be a NBA season? At this point who gives a f**k, they evidently don't care about their fans.
6. Drink my dinner, or not? I already know the answer to this, just wanted to make you feel like you have a say.

Let's go to the numbers....
21 BCS games for the SEC
15 Wins
7 Losses

Best in the country

7-0 (5 different schools winning Championships)

Now, you point to non-conference weakness...well, when you play a slate of games like say my VOLS did this year (we suck, move on) that includes (South Carolina, Bama, LSU, Ark, UGA, UF (who is down this year)) why wouldn't you play a weak non-conference slate?

My VOLS have always played a pretty good OOC slate.  We didn't this year but we've had ND, Oregon, Cal, UCLA,...etc.

Point is we have a conference slate that no other conference can compare too...they just can't and until the SEC falls flat like the BIG XII and BIG TEN have in the BIG GAME or even bowls as a whole, then you'll just have to get over our schools playing some cup cakes from time to time.
Tennessee was very happy after beating Vandy on Saturday.  (disclaimer - I can't watch the video at work so I have no idea what in entails, but it got quite a response on another board).

http://youtu.be/nf3WdCLsKkQ

College football is cyclical my man and the SEC plays by a different set of rules.  Leave the coattail riding to the USCjr, Vandy, and UK's of the world.  You're better than that.

My point is this, until someone can beat us in the BIG GAME, you really have no point.

Oh wasn't my intend to make it sound like we were riding coat tails, just pointing out our failures so it wasn't to make it sound as if we have been world beaters.

I agree and truth be told, going into this year I didn't expect a SEC team in it.  The East is just horrible right now...the West is loaded but Arky is a clone of a BIG XII team (ALL O/NO D), LSU has Les who can blow it at any min, and bama had some questions on O with a new QB and no WR's.

My apologies if it seemed as though I lumped you in with the coattail riders.  I'm subjected to insane amount of it every day over on Rivals.  Hopefully we set up another series soon.  Loved tailgating down in Knoxville and the TN fans that ventured north were great as well.

Is it still Monday?   Been up sincee 4 a.m.  Blah.

Let's see, over the weekend>>

My really good friend now hates me because I am not coming to her house for Turkey Day as we all hate her p.o.s. boyfriend.
I was supposed to make dinner here, but she tried to switch up and nevermind.  Just Ugh.

Rob asked me to move back in with him.  My end of the conversation was brief and to the point with lots of expletives.
I would like to be on a plane to anywhere but here.

There's a darkness upon me that's flooded in light
In the fine print they tell me what's wrong and what's right
And it comes in black and it comes in white
And I'm frightened by those that don't see it

When nothing is owed or deserved or expected
And your life doesn't change by the man that's elected
If you're loved by someone, you're never rejected
Decide what to be and go be it

There was a dream and one day I could see it
Like a bird in a cage I broke in and demanded that somebody free it
And there was a kid with a head full of doubt
So I'll scream til I die or the last of those bad thoughts are finally out

There's a darkness upon you that's flooded in light
And in the fine print they tell you what's wrong and what's right
And it flies by day and it flies by night
And I'm frightened by those that don't see it

There was a dream and one day I could see it
Like a bird in a cage I broke in and demanded that somebody free it

Why do I always miss the good stuff? Saturdays College Gameday live,Corso drops the f bomb, Herbstreit and Fowlers reactions were priceless.

I could have missed the 87 yard pass deflection for a TD in the Baylor- OU game, oh yea and the 51 second, 80 yard TD drive to win the game. I do believe OU had better secondaries when they ran the wishbone, than we do now. The bright spot to come out of these last two games is  that OU can actually punch the ball in from the two or three yard line now.

Saw the most hillbillie, redneck show ever this weekend....Call of the Wildman, they follow this guy named turtle man who removes and rescues critters from your home, barn or where ever. The last episode involved dude wiping racoon urine on his clothes to catch a.....racoon. He does all this with his hands and as stupid as it is, it is the proverbial track wreck you have to watch. So if any of you have twenty bucks and a basket of taters he'll come out and remove those pesky opossums from your attic.

I hate Hershel, and his dumb "I keep zombies in the barn because we were related and they're just sick".

Dear Hershel,
Seriously?  Really?  Just checkin'.
Love, J

Good day, bitches.

These Occupy protestors make me happier everyday.  Apparently a group of them are set up in London at St. Paul's Cathedral.  They have found feces on the grounds AND inside the church.    (Insert "pew" joke here.)

This big, dumb, stupid "super committee" is now realizing they've failed miserably and need to figure out a way to spin it to the public.  I say, hey, at least they're finally talking to each other.

That's all I've got for today.  Work's a bitch around the holidays.  So am I.  So, there's that.  Enjoy.

Great workout for me to get the lead out after a weekend of drinking and lounging. Hit a new record for 2 miles.

In hindsight, I wish I knew some Hindi so I could've whispered during the prayer before last week's Thanksgiving potluck, just to mess with people's heads.

There's this girl I've been talking to at work who I get along really well. I'm also 99% sure she has a boyfriend. Oh well. (* Submitted as proof I am capable of talking to women)

Sports. The Good: Packers win again, Penn State is one win from the Big Ten title game (still determining if I can support the program going forward, but for now, the players had nothing to do with the scandal, so I'm not turning my back on them). The Bad: The Caps are imploding, Ovechkin and Boudreau aren't seeing eye to eye, and Semin is scratched tonight in what seems like an obvious ploy for him to keep his job. At least they've decided to implode now instead of April.

You could have a change of heart
If you would only change your mind
Instead of slammin' down the phone, girl
For the hundredth time
I got your number on my wall
But I ain't gonna make that call
When divided we stand, baby
United we fall

Got the time, got the chance, gonna make it
Got your hands on my heart, gonna take it
All I know, I can't fight this flame

You could have a change of heart
If you would only change your mind
'Cos I'm crazy 'bout you, baby
Time after time

Without you - one night alone
Is like a year without you, baby
Do you have a heart of stone?
Without you - can't stop the hurt inside
When love & hate collide
I don't wanna fight no more
I don't know what we're fightin' for
When we treat each other, baby
Like an act of war
I could tell a million lies
And it would come as no surprise
When the truth is like a stranger
Hits you right between the eyes

There's a time and a place and a reason
And I know I got a love to believe in
All I know, got to win this time

Without you - one night alone
Is like a year without baby
Do you have a heart of stone?
Without you - can't stop the hurt inside
When love and hate collide

You could have a change of heart
If you would only change your mind
'Cos I'm crazy 'bout you, baby
Crazy, crazy

Without you - one night alone
Is like a year without baby
Do you have a heart of stone?
Without you - one night alone
Is like a year without you, baby
If you have a heart at all
Without you - can't stop the hurt inside
When love and hate collide

I am, once again, confessing my undying love for Anthony Bourdain and his new series, The Layover.  IDK who else can make "sweating down my asscrack" sound like so much fun.

Scratched my cornea yesterday, and would never in a million years, be able to reproduce the events that started that into action.  I would not recommend a scratched cornea to anyone.  Luckily, eyes heal quickly and my scratch is just now mildly irritating rather than tear and blur inducing.

Aside from that, I got nothin'.  My sister asked me to be at her house an hour earlier than everyone else on Thanksgiving.  After we had the conversation that I'm really not in the mood to celebrate Thanksgiving any longer than I have to.  She better be telling me that she won the lottery, and she's giving me 90% of her winnings, tax-free.
