Morning.

Last day of work for the week, then I head to the airport for -------Oregon. Hope TSA is in good spirits and the LAX terminal I fly out of doesn't smell like feet and bad breath.

While in Oregon, I'm going to make it my mission to go to Voodoo Doughnuts. -----just because. How cool are these? Look at the little pretzel pin. awwww.

Crosby did great last night. He has already scored more points than the Kings entire 3rd and 4th lines.  Speaking of which....they play tonight in St. Louis. It would be nice of them to start a winning streak. (TEBOW----Pray to Tesus (is it pronounced Tea-zis or Tay-zues.....I need to know these things in order to tebow correctly).

Have a lovely day. Remember---FRESH feet make a more pleasant TSA/security check experience. #tsafact

First! That never happens, quick question for you New Yorkers/Jersey people? Is it common to see birds flying around inside the terminal of JFK? If so how the f**k do they get through security? I stepped outside for a smoke and it took me an hour to get back to the gates.

I hate to fly and airports are for the birds even though I have no idea how they get in and they always lose your luggage even if you do have to pay 35 dollars per bag ,makes a person think about hitchhiking well now that I got that off my chest I feel better

Howdy Folks,

Speaking of airports, I'm flying Southwest out to the Bay Area tomorrow.  If I don't see the bag guys tossing yellow flags for excessive baggage fees, I'm going to be disappointed.

Sidney Crosby looked awesome last night, though I'm told the Islanders are on their 4th string keeper.  Hopefully I'm not playing Lobotomy this week.

Can someone explain to me how Luke Kuechly is not a finalist for the Bednarik Award?  He's going to sett all sorts of NCAA tackling records.  Dude is a machine.  If he played for a big name school, he would already of locked up the award.  Horse manure if you ask me.

Did anybody get the new Nickelback CD at midnight?  I did and it might be the best CD in the history of CDs.

Good morning.. Hockey on Monday nights is never a good thing, I'm exhausted today.  On a brighter note, we have a tournament this weekend, starting Friday night.  Evidently, they were having trouble finding teams because they bumped our tournament team's JV squad into the upper division with us and we play them in our first game.  Guys from both teams were at the bar after our game last night so we decided to make it as big of a s**t show as possible complete with extravagant goal celebrations after every goal.  Me and one of my linemates decided he's going to go to his stomach sniper style and pick off guys all over the ice, and I'm leaning towards grabbing the goalie's water bottle and showering myself, or taking it and sliding it down the ice and have two of my teammates brush in front of it with their sticks like curling..

Sidney Crosby is a freak of nature... even though he now has fragile head

I used to have quite a thing for Christina Aguilera

Then this thing ate her

I think she should just come out and say she's pregnant, go on a diet and then tell everyone she lost the baby.  You'd think she has public relations people to come up with this gold for her

i've been stressed because of some stupid murders. it's been making me do weird things:
- i tried to give some of my favorite pants away and i hugged two mostly toothless homeless guys
- i drunkenly told the nice mailman suitor guy to get f**ked last night
- i put the flowers he left this morning in someone else's office
- i drank at lunch yesterday
- i'm drinking at lunch today
- i hugged a cashier
- i figured out how to tie a tie
- i'm wearing a paisley tie, and kinda like it
- i found out the hard way today that when tarte makeup brand describes an eyeshadow as "shimmer," it actually means DISCO PARTY ALL OVER YOUR FACE. but i'm cool with that too. it's just kinda like biting into an oatmeal raisin cookie when you thought it was chocolate chip.

we have a called staff meeting in a few minutes to discuss the person making violent threats on the church. i'm kind of nervous. really nervous. but i have my tie on so i'm take this s**t like a man. maybe even do the tough suit-guy thing where i look down, sigh and loosen it up in disgust. (ooo! the jazzercisers are working out to some j.lo today. rockin.) speaking of j.lo, i caught the lmfao group at the end of the american music awards the other night and those are some entertaining dudes.

i wrote all this before the meeting and now the meeting is over. i'm submitting resumes today.

Tequila.  More tequila.  Triple Sec.  Some green limey stuff.  Ice..........more tequila = Margarita

I still have no life.  I haven't seen an NHL game since the season started.  Some of the people at work seriously need to get a job elsewhere.  They spend more energy trying to get out of work than they do working.  It disgusts me.

It has been snowing steadily now for a few days, and the white stuff is covering everything.  Saturday it is supposed to rain.  Oh joy.

I still love my truck.

Have a great day and remember to give that idiot driver a chance, instead of running right over his ass like I know you want to.

Yes.  And in some malls, too.
As for the security part ... well, s**t happens.  Feel safe?

Good day, bitches.

Oh yeah, Kevin ... you didn't tell me you'd be in NYC, therefore the coffee/donuts is null and void.  I mean, I wouldn't have brought them to you, anyway.  Stranger danger I had to work today.  But get yourself a $4 cup of coffee and pour a small, pricy sip on the concrete for me, k?  Thanks.

So countdown, 2 days until Thanksgiving and 4 days until my mom's surprise 60th birthday party.  Thanksgiving will actually be a good test to see if my loud ass family can keep their traps shut for one full day about the party.  I've already started a pool for who's gonna f**k up the surprise, as well as several other possible events that might occur this holiday.  I might need some help with the odds, though (Sid?).  Normally my grandmother would be the frontrunner for, well, ALL of them, but we decided to not even tell her about the party yet.  So she's the dark horse there.  Otherwise, I have this much done...

Most likely to:

Blab about the surprise party.  (My guess is my brother's fiance, since she likes to kick back on grandpa's old cough medicine, if you know what I mean, and she's kind of ditzy at times.  Odds:  2-1)

Curse out a relative.
(OK, fine, probably me in the lead here.  But in fairness, you haven't met my family.  MOST of them have it coming.  Odds:  4-1)

Get s**tfaced and fall over.
(See, my brother's fiance would be a logical guess here, knowing her affinity for the drink, but I'm gonna go ahead and be bold.  I think my cousin's husband will be the one.  He's a new daddy, a teacher, and has a new house that they've been renovating for months.  I think he'll take this shot to unwind and go a little crazy.  Odds:  3-1)

Pull down his/her own pants ... or someone else's pants.
(I'd like to be bold again, but I have a feeling this one will go to my grandmother.  She's faux-senile, and likes to do crazy s**t just because she can get away with it.  Odds:  3-1)

Long day, I see it is now after six, time to sign up for a bunch of stuff with my new junk mail address.

Republican debate drinking game tonight.

I Take a sip every time:

  • A candidate mentions Ronald Reagan
  • Michele Bachmann interrupts the moderator
  • Herman Cain laughs at one of his own jokes
  • Rick Perry says "jobs"
  • Newt Gingrich and Herman Cain agree
  • Mitt Romney has that, "How the f*** are these people close to me in the polls" look
  •

    Take a chug every time:

    • A candidate mentions a country other than America, Iraq, Iran, or Afghanistan
    • A candidate says "Occupy Wall Street" in a sentence that doesn't contain the words, "nonsense," "hippie," "spoiled," "misguided," or "Soros-funded granola-fueled anything-goes sex caravan."

    • I myself am recording it, as I am saving my silly drunk moment for the Thanksgiving Dinner crowd.

It's been a long time, been a long time, been a long lonely lonely...okay enough of that.  It's been a good while since I actually posted in here.  The Pirates since then addressed a couple positions.  Ryan Doumit left town and enter Rod Barajas.  I don't know if he's the answer behind the plate, but he supposedly has at least as much power and HAS to be better than D'OH-mit at throwing out runners.  The other addition I welcome with open arms.  Adios Ronny Cedeno, hello Clint Barmes!  He's as good as if not better of a fielder, and a much more consistent hitter than Cedeno will ever be.

Also, welcome back Sidney Crosby!  Yes I know it was against the Isles, but regardless of who the Pens played last night, nobody in their right mind would expect a guy to do that in his first game in 10 1/2 months!  I posed this question now in our Yahoo league.  I have Kunitz and would absolutely love to pick up Dupuis, as their production will pick up even more now on a line with Sid, but how are they BOTH listed as left wingers?  That's kinda...impossible.

Power went out in the whole province today for an hour and a half.  Apparently they were doing maintenance on the line from the Bennettt Dam to the province and  other lines were supposed to kick in and provide unlimited power.  Apparently they did not.  It was funny.  Kept checking the website for updates and it kept telling me there were power outages throughout the province, so I thought the website was broken.  Turns out it wasn't the website.  Morons.

Have you been watching "Juice" or something (I've never seen it but I figure that grammar is standard in it)? Do not speak like that. Use your...better words, and grammar, and pronunciation.

Giving a player with a career .252/302/.401 batting line (most of that in Colorado) a 2 year, $10.5 million deal seems unbelievably dumb.

Possibly, but I think when you take in to count the # of games that Colorado hitters face 3 of the top 5 NL pitching staffs (SF #2, SD #3, LA #5) and the # of games played in pitcher friendly ballparks .... his numbers aren't as bad as you infer.

And he's a plus fielder and a great clubhouse guy

They needed to go shopping for a shortstop, plain and simple.  Ronny Cedeno just isn't the long-term answer.  Barmes is as good if not better defensively, and while he put up similar numbers to Cedeno at the plate last season, he does have a bit more power.  He won't be a huge power SS like JJ Hardy, but he will provide a more consistent bat than Cedeno ever could.

A career 78 OPS+ does not equal consistent in my eyes, more like not that good. A one year deal at $3 or $4 million I could see, but 2 years, $10.5 million is too much, especially when your margin of error isn't very big.

i've been stressed because of some stupid murders. it's been making me do weird things:

Was this a dream you had? I am normally easily confused but this has journeyed to new areas of WTF??

Cedeno or Barmes, pick one.

If it's a one year deal, Barmes, but if it's a 2 year deal for Barmes or picking up on the $3 million on Cedeno, I'm taking Cedeno, as I don't feel the difference in the two is enough to justify an extra year and another $5.25 million for Barmes.
