A few of my favorite things.... Photo
Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens
Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens
Brown paper packages tied up with strings
These are a few of my favorite things

Cream colored ponies and crisp apple streudels
Doorbells and sleigh bells and schnitzel with noodles
Wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings
These are a few of my favorite things

Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes
Snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes
Silver white winters that melt into springs
These are a few of my favorite things

Today I heard this song and thought about what are my favorite things.  What is it that gives you that butterfly feeling in your stomach?

The first spring day that's warm enough to drive home from work with the windows down and the music up!

Watching my niece and nephew open presents on Christmas morning
The smell of fresh cut hay or lawn gives you butterfiles? Jesus.   What about a lawn thats just been cut by a John Deere lawn mower?

The Romeo y Juliet's are a real nice cigar , i usually get boxes of either  Padron -FR(family reserve) , Gurkha - double maduro , or Cohiba - black and i will get a few singles here and there to try out some other brands and flavors.

Yes some of them can be on the high end and a lot of them over priced.  The Camacho Corojo cigars are great and made right in Miami and are very fair mid range priced , also Macanudo makes a pretty good cigar at a great price and a lot of options.

and three movie quotes:

1. Burt Lancaster in "Field of Dreams" as Dr. Archibald "Moonlight" Graham:
Well, you know I... I never got to bat in the major leagues. I would have liked to have had that chance. Just once. To stare down a big league pitcher. To stare him down, and just as he goes into his windup, wink. Make him think you know something he doesn't. That's what I wish for. Chance to squint at a sky so blue that it hurts your eyes just to look at it. To feel the tingling in your arm as you connect with the ball. To run the bases - stretch a double into a triple, and flop face-first into third, wrap your arms around the bag. That's my wish, Ray Kinsella. That's my wish. And is there enough magic out there in the moonlight to make this dream come true?

2. James Earl Jones in "Field of Dreams" as Terrance Mann:
Ray, people will come Ray. They'll come to Iowa for reasons they can't even fathom. They'll turn up your driveway not knowing for sure why they're doing it. They'll arrive at your door as innocent as children, longing for the past. Of course, we won't mind if you look around, you'll say. It's only $20 per person. They'll pass over the money without even thinking about it: for it is money they have and peace they lack. And they'll walk out to the bleachers; sit in shirtsleeves on a perfect afternoon. They'll find they have reserved seats somewhere along one of the baselines, where they sat when they were children and cheered their heroes. And they'll watch the game and it'll be as if they dipped themselves in magic waters. The memories will be so thick they'll have to brush them away from their faces. People will come Ray. The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It has been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game: it's a part of our past, Ray. It reminds of us of all that once was good and it could be again. Oh... people will come Ray. People will most definitely come.

3. Kevin Costner in "Bull Durham" as Crash Davis:
Well, I believe in the soul, the c*%k, the p*#sy, the small of a woman's back, the hanging curve ball, high fiber, good scotch, that the novels of Susan Sontag are self-indulgent, overrated crap. I believe Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone. I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing Astroturf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, soft, wet kisses that last three days.
