I feel if the Rangers sign him, that would put them over the top and will finally WIN their third straight visit to the WS.

Yeah, but Pujols getting Pujols money is a joke IMO. That dude is 33 or something and signed a 10 year deal. I understand he will be used as a DH, but come on!

No, I just saw him literally QUIT on his team during a World Series game. That's why I don't care for him.

I must have missed that game. Was it Game 3 when he hit the 3 home runs or Game 6 when he was the tying run?

Game 4 when the Rangers came back to win and he quit on the field and then was nowhere to be found for after game interviews. Good try though.

Texas quit too many games other than that one! Pujols was front & center before Game 5, so it's a dead horse you're beating.

He quit on his team. Plain and simple. If you are supposedly the team captain and you quit on the playing field, you lose all credibility. You have no argument with "the Rangers quit too many games". What does that even mean? When did they "quit" for one second? Didn't close the series clinching game out, but they NEVER quit.

That's like saying Josh Hamilton deliberately leaves kids without fathers so that fans will feel sorry for HIM, while he cries crocodile tears, takes some time off to rest, just so he can come back and win a couple of games late upon his return (and secretly bangs the widow)!

Get a clue!

Ok, this comment was completely incoherent. Please come up with a better analogy or at least try to clear this one up before you come back at me. "Get a clue!" HA! Please learn to give one first.

Are you putting that on Hamilton? I would put it on the grown man wearing flip flops and hanging too far over a 3 foot rail. The ball wasn't even going to him, he reached out and cut his son and some other man off  and lost his footing. GET A LIFE! "Killing a fan" ARE YOU SERIOUS!? BWAHAHAHA

That was my point - blaming Hamilton for the guy dying is like blaming Pujols quitting on his team in Game 4 of the World Series - completely baseless and irresponsible! Keep up, will ya, there will be a quiz at the end of this class.

Tigers are in panic mode, and now have no money...Victor's injury was HUGE...and now its up to Verlander and Fister to do it all on the mound.  All your money in an otherwise anemic offense (outside drunk and Vegetarian) will mean nothing.  Tigers are still pretenders

Sorry but your comparison is completely off. A fan trying to catch a ball and falling to his death is what you come up with? May that man rest in peace, but at least he tried... Unlike Pujols. I agree with Noclone stating Pujols quit in that game. Why? Because he obviously did in front of the whole world. He made a pitiful error and just turned it in. I say if Noclone goes and hides under a rock, as you asked him to, he may have found Pujols under it after that game.

Players have a bad game. Players are human - even ones labeled "The Machine". Did Babe Ruth hit a home run every time he came to the plate? Did Willie Mays make a spectacular catch every time the ball was hit to Centerfield? Did Ozzie Smith get to every ground ball hit to the middle of the infield? Did Nolan Ryan strike out every batter?

Nobody quit. Had he, or anyone else quit, the Rangers would have been pouring ginger ale all over each other, instead of the Cardinals dousing themselves with Budweiser. As Pujols & other players stated before Game 5, they waited OVER AN HOUR after the game for the press to arrive and NO ONE SHOWED, so they left. Then, and only then, did the media arrive and rip them for ducking out! Some of the beat writers took responsibility, MOST didn't. The Cardinals staff took the heat, the players were exonerated.

Yes, the Rangers pitched their @$$ off to take that Game 5. Yes, both teams sent their Little League All-Stars out to start Game 6, before putting their regulars out there about the 6th Inning and giving the fans one of the greatest games in baseball history (notice the balding guy, with the pencil-thin goatee, wearing the #5 in red scoring in the 9th & 10th to help tie the game twice against Feliz)! Finally, yes, both teams showed up to give an epic Game 7, although I may remember it more fondly than you & Noclone do, but by no means gloating.

Pujols DID NOT QUIT. He didn't quit until he let his wife sign with Anaheim for more years and less money to be miserable in California! That, my friend, is a whole other story!!!!!
