What would you do if FanIQ went down? (Edited 03/03/12 04:04PM by sports_schmorts)
It's a typical day you wake up, get ready and head to work or school. Normal routine brings you to the next step of logging on to FanIQ

- when you see it-

It's your nightmare come to life.

"the website you've requested can not be found"

You scream in agony, utterly defeated by the powers that be. You pinch yourself to wake up but it's no use

Luckily, I have other things that interest my life that could keep me occupied but I would definitely miss some of you. Although we do other ways to communicate if need be.

1) During work - find another website or activity to keep me busy during down times

2) After work - I'm rarely on the computer at night anyways, so, it wouldn't bother me.

3) Weekends - I'm hardly on here on the weekends either, maybe here and there, so, maybe re-activate my Facebook account or find other sites to keep me occupied when I'm actually home

 Well, considering the fact that if this happened, it would be one of those "Surprise! You're laid off!" situations I would deal but I would probably need a few days to recover

 would miss alot of my Q friends  if it did go down suddenly........we could not reach them unless you got their emails..........for that reason.......I WOULD MISS THEM ALOT...................

(In fairness, it's either that or I can talk:  1) Menopause with the old chick, 2) D&D with the nerds, 3) boyfriend trouble with my coworker whose boyfriend is in and out of jail, 4) work issues with my boss ... I'm already AT work, why would I wanna go and do something like that?  Pshh.)

 I'm lucky, it would probably take a good year to a year and a half of me staring at the computer screen before I realized the site wasn't up, but that's just me. I would then go to Costco or Sam's or something like that, purchase a few thousand of the water cooler blue things, 5000 cans of potted meat, 1000 boxes of Saltines, and a few yards of bubble wrap to keep the keyboard indentions off my forehand. I'd come home, put up the groceries, flip the cushion on my couch over, and go back to sitting, and waiting for the site to go back up. I could do that routine for ten or fifteen more years. I am figuring by then dementia has set in full blown, at which I will be contented in sitting around ****ing myself and smiling each time the faint memory of something called the 'Q' floats by.




Ideas?

 I would just have to deal with it. Heck, it'd probably be good to be cut off for good from this place after being around *gulp* almost 6 years. Most everyone I'd want to talk to still I follow on Twitter, and most of them follow me for some reason. It would suck not having a built-in audience if I want to write something, but I'll get over it.

You are kinda new here, and you need to be shown the ropes correctly.  You need to pay more attention to certain posters here, myself and Jason included.  Also, pay attention to Joe, Kev, Rogs, Nyce, Stoney, Kenne, Beans, Woody...there are more, but we comprise a vast consortium of knowledge and wisdom.  We are the true Jedi of the Q. 

Also, feel free to PQ all their worthless postings of images of douchehat goobers.  That always helps.
