A lot of us here lost a friend yesterday.  I'm not naming names, but if you look at your followers list, you'll probably notice one missing.  I was told the reason for the departure was because this site had become "stress inducing".  I'm sad to lose this friend, because even though we shared differing views on some things, I could always count on him to make one hell of an argument for his side, and to at the very least, MAKE ME THINK.  Anyhow, sayonara to a good friend.  I hope to hear from you soon.  This, my friends, is why you will rarely see me make serious comments on here.  I refuse to let this site "induce stress" into my already stressful life.  Rather, I choose to use this site to relieve stress, and hopefully make some of you laugh in the process.  If I have ever caused any of you undue stress with my comments...tough $h*t.

I feel affected by the Saints' bounties, because they ended the career of my favorite player. What bothers me more is that they are my 2nd favorite team. That playoff game between the Cardinals and Saints was like watching my best friend b*ng my girlfriend and then kill her at the end. It was hard to watch, but I wanted to know what happens next.

That "stress inducer" has a name, but I'm going to keep my mouth shut.  It's sad to see someone leave because of one person.  The one who left was probably one of the smartest and well-spoken individuals on this site, and one person had to start the usual crap which led to the smart one's departure.  It sickens me.

I don't think he would let a condescending right winger caught up in their own self worth run him off. I like to think he's devoting this break to reading and continuing the education of others. He will be missed while he's gone, but I have faith he'll be back!

I just had two pieces of beef jerkey and a cup of coffee.  That should cover most of the real food groups, right?

Yesterday I was having dinner at an Italian place that's next door to our new concert hall. Last night's performer was Young Jeezy, and while I was eating, a group went up to the bar and asked where the bathroom was. The bartender said the restroom was not public. Thus, this group actually stayed and ate dinner. Not surprisingly, they got the most Americanized piece of Italian cooking on the menu, the fettuccine alfredo.

I also did my taxes yesterday, which I take a perverse pleasure in (such is life as an accountant). Of course, I still have to mail the thing, as I'm the last person on earth who doesn't trust e-file.

As someone who cares about tennis, I wish I could've seen the Federer-Murray final. Anytime the Big Four get together, it's worth watching, and as I said it another thread, the physicality of tennis is quite underrated.
