Criminal minds, N.C.I.S and Survivor, oh my.
Everyone has the certain shows they do not miss. My first one is Criminal Minds. I am watching it right now on A&E.  The show is very dark and twisty, it pushes the envelope with the way it shows violence.  I know a lot of people think it is to dark and goes to far.

The characters imo, shows how it screws you up to have to do a job like that. I know I couldn't do a job where I had to see death and violence everyday.  (and of course I get to watch Shemar Moore, this is a bonus)

And of course Survivor just rules. I love how the human brain can go to normal to pure paranoia in 3.0. seconds flat. Makes me giggle.

So guys, give, what show will you not miss?

usually, i can miss em all. but this year, it's been walking dead and american idol. of course, i always technically miss them and then watch them on my own time because the thought of having the television keep me on a schedule just irks the pants off me

It was Homeland (honestly does any other program deserve an after show more?), but currently I guess The Walking Dead. Although I've watched about half of season 2.1 OnDemand, so I guess it doesn't really count. This time of year is always bad for TV.

Criminal Minds still comes on?

I don't watch anything live besides sports. Everything else, I never really miss cause I have dvr'd it all. Top priority on dvr go to Psych, House, and Modern Family, if that helps.

The Walking Dead...didnt watch it before a few weeks ago. They had every episode on back to back with a marathon leading up to the new episode for this year. I dvr'd all of it and watched it basically straight through. Great show.

Breaking Bad, Person of Interest and Game of Thrones.... I also really like the Ricky Gervais Show and Boardwalk Empire.  I don't have Showtime but I buy the Dexter seasons as soon as they're available, so that should probably count as well.

I don't watch a lot of TV. The only shows I watch regularly are the Simpsons and Family Guy.

#25 | 904 days ago

I also DVR and mostly watch that way - but there are a few that I will watch live, just because I can't wait to watch them. Psych and Grey's Anatomy fit there. Here's my list:

Ellen, Dexter, The Voice, House, Hawai-i Five-0, Raising Hope, New Girl, Unforgettable (but I think that's getting cancelled), Sons of Anarchy, Body of Proof, Rizzoli & Isles, Cougar Town, Franklin & Bash, Modern Family, Psych, Deadliest Catch, Grey's Anatomy, BONES, The Finder (SO good..I might not even miss Bones if Fox keeps this). The Haunted, Beavis and Butt-head, Bar Rescue, Grimm, The Dead Files, Cupcake Wars, Chopped, Restaurant Impossible (and pretty much any competition show Food Network has), Desperate Housewives, and I'm not sure yet but that new GCB show was pretty funny, so I set it to record - I might love it.

I miss most of these through their first run because of games or my husband playing video games, or whatever. And I watch Pop-up video when I work out, so I DVR those in the back room.

I liked Turtleman, I'm serious, I liked his call, yelp, whatever you wanna call it. The man loves animals, I respect that.

I watch these mostly on DVR. NCIS, The Mentalist, House. As for House, I wanna slap House around sometimes, but, I enjoy him at the same time. I watch so many other things, and I'm dvr-ing a lot of stuff. I like some reality shows, the ones with brains. I'm a news junkie and Documentary junkie.

A typical conversation with Jethro and Ducky, which I enjoy a lot! on NCIS.

Ducky, whatta ya have?......  oh yes Jethro, it would seem our criminal was a tricky one, ...you see, they had this diamond here, ... doesn't make sense, but, at the same time, if you look closer, you'll see its not real,...... the thing is people have been doing this for years, it brings me back to a case when, I was about 14 years younger, yes, you see, it was a similar case, and then as now I was a bit stumped, now if you look, ............ Ducky call me when you have more evidence,.... uh, well, ok Jethro, I'll do that.

Not too many "can't miss" shows out there for me...   The only ones I can think of are Family Guy and Modern Family.   Lost used to be on that list...  But I do have a bunch that I DVR and I have a couple of guilty pleasures on the list.

At this point, the only TV I watch that is not from the DVR is sports.

Sunday - The Walking Dead ... used to be Family Guy, but I don't DVR and it hasn't been as good lately.  It was a sacrifice I had to make.
Monday - House
Tuesday - Glee, Raising Hope, and (sometimes) New Girl
Wednesday - Was American Horror Story when it was on (PS - I heard next season is taking place on the east coast in a mental institute and gay dude from season 1 and Heroes is coming back ... but as a different character.  I don't know how I feel about this.)
Thursday - Grey's Anatomy and sometimes I get suckered into staying tuned for Private Practice, even though I kinda hate it.
Friday - nothing, really
Saturday - see above ... sometimes SNL

Oh, and I usually watch Chelsea Lately every night on E! and I try to catch Rachel Maddow when it doesn't conflict.

American Horror Story
