Peyton's Place (AFC West Wing) (Edited 03/21/12 10:44AM by ColtsNation)
It's official... Peyton Manning will play for Denver Broncos starting the 2012 NFL season! For me, a die-hard-over-the-top Indianapolis Colts fan, this is disturbing news. I fell that personally Mr. Irsay should have done more to give Mr. Manning a real chance at retiring as a COLT instead of choosing to go in a new direction for the future of the organization. Not only that, but now Mr. Elway wants to adapt more COLTS players to assist Mr. Manning with his transition to the team which rubs me the wrong way I must say. In my anger, I wondered who else felt the way about this?

I don't know if Peyton Manning takes the Broncos to the Super Bowl or not, but he does certainly give them the opportunity if they go through the effort of giving him compliment players.  I know that  a lot of teams have to move on from their star player at some point but great players don't just happen.  The Colts will have to hope that they can get luck twice on draft day, but remember no rookie is guaranteed.  How many Quarterbacks have gone in the first round the last few years that were supposed to be the next big thing and didn't amount to much?  JaMarcus Russel anyone?  How about Vince Young?  Matt Leinart?  Jury is still out on Mark Sanchez.  There is a big step to be made at the next level.  I don't know there is a lot of questions to still need to be answered both for Manning, the Colts, and the Broncos before anyone should commit to predictions.

Peyton's arm and BRAINS have a way better shot than Tebows arm and McGAhee's rickety legs

Never been a Manning fan....but I do think Manning is a great QB...why he went with Denver is beyond me when Tennessee had a position if he couldn't play and when he retired from the field.  And it's closer to his home but who knows......money talks...BS walks blah blah blah

Every player goes sometime...Why rebuild with a old quarter back who did not play last year due to being hurt.
