Filter Error 05/01
Welcome back. This is the part of the locker room where you can sit and chat and chill for a while without offending or being shushed. Maybe you wanna watch a dvd or listen to your mp3. Yes, I rhymed. Something on your mind, post it! Random question, ask it? Hijacking is allowed and encouraged. Join the party, troll around, have a beer. It's cool. All are welcome, but please leave all BS in the hall.

The page loading issue is pissing me off this morning, because it's already not a good morning. So f*** whatever it was that I was gonna say. Here's your recycled filter cause it needed to be quick. Don't waste your time bitching about it, idgas. Good day.

Good Morning. I'm not a fan of surprises, but I do love when they are pleasant. Filter Error 05/01 Photo Movie review Monday? I watched Due Date, and though it probably could've been better, I really loved it. I love Robert Downey, Jr.... a lot, and when he said he had never done drugs in his life (in the movie), I almost died. I'm sure that wasn't supposed to be funny. Zack Galifackinakis can just walk across the screen and make me laugh, which he did, repeatedly. It's an A in my book. I watched The A-Team again because I love it. I've had Layer Cake for over a year and never watched it. Started it yesterday but didn't finish because demons came home from church. In the 30 minutes that I did, I realized that I should've seen it already. How long did it take you to realize who The Others really were? GO HAWKS! GO LAKERS!

Wassup?

Woke up this morning feeling fresh to death.  Played bball last night for almost three hours.  After nearly drinking myself into a coma following the news of D Rose tearing his ACL, it was great to sweat out all the toxins.  Slept like a baby too.  Apparently it was the first night in weeks that I wasn't a violent sleeper.  I also woke up to this song.....:feelsgoodman:

The Bulls will still win this series.....CJ is no slouch and his coming out party starts tonight at the UC.  If you don't agree....see my response below.

How dumb is Amare?  Now the Knicks will undoubtedly be swept.  I feel his pain, though.  I once broke my hand after punching a brick wall at a bar in college.  It looked like wood in the dark....though it wouldn't have mattered much.  And it was all over a sorostitute.  Ahh well, you live and you learn.

Does anyone here put ketchup on chicken?  I'm conducting some research and answers would be greatly appreciated.

Good Morning!

So, I'm in a pretty fantastic mood. Guess those "experts" who said the Kings had to score to win some games against the Blues were correct. They've scored 8 goals. It was great......I just wish they would have spread them out a little better......oh what am I typing. I don't care. It was great! I was a tweeting fool (fool describes my tweets perfectly by the way). Dustin Penner is finally making Kings fans fall in love with him. The lover of pancakes is playing big (though he did get his ass handed to him by Oshie...lol on that one hit), my favorite Penner moment was his jersey pull after a face off. I love this nasty side of him. Where the hell has it been. I may be writing poems about him soon. heart

Only one ginormous problem with last night's game, THE broadcast CNBC team SUCKED BALLS. What a big F U to Kings fans. Brian Engbloom (is it one o or two, I'm going two because I don't give a f**K) wants him some Blues love, and Hayward.....Hayward.....YOU DON'T HAVE A DUCKS COLOR GUY DO THE KINGS PLAYOFF GAME!!! EVER. IF IT WAS POSSIBLE, MY FIST WOULD HAVE CONNECTED THROUGH THE TV MULTIPLY TIMES. I HATE YOU CNBC! Thank goodness for Bob Miller and Jim Fox's post game show afterwards. They calmed my soul.

Anywhoo, I want more wins....so the Jamba Juicing, wearing the same things, eating a Puck after the first period, and praying will be continuing.

Peace and heart

all that yelling dee is doing has gotten me all paranoid.

i had the choice of going to see the astros-mets game, or roger waters perform "the wall" tonight. i chose astros. don't judge me. i have the album and a great pair of headphones. i don't need to pretend like pink floyd is my favorite band ever for a night to make up for the fact that i was given a $375 ticket to see one of the members (albeit, pink himself) perform enough of an album to make you crave it, and then awkwardly transition into some umma-gumma. nah. see? the astros, just last night broke a record, using 5 bullpen pitchers on one batter. would i pass up an opportunity to see history in the making? no siree-bob. i can go home and catch the wall on my headphones in the dark.

anyway, the seats i have for the game are in "the coke zone." it's really high up and scary, but rumor has it, all sodas and food are free and there's a telescope shaped like a coke bottle. should be wild!

I believe if you put ketchup on anything besides french fries, and the occasional hotdog or hamburger (though I dont put ketchup on my burger and I rarely eat hotdogs anymore but when I did, mustard only) the food is gross and you are trying to camouflage it. So.. on chicken? No.

Lunchables kid's chicken nuggets comes with ketchup though. So, I guess it was a way to get kids to eat their food.

Hey, don't hate on Engblom, he may have the best haircut in sports TV since Barry Melrose circa 1996.  Oh, and he does a lot of work for the Avs broadcasts.  But the guy who was doing the play by play was making me facepalm over and over.  The Blues are down 5-2 and he was doing his best to pretend that they were getting back into the game (without coming close to scoring) and ignoring that they had just dropped the first two games at home.

Go Ovi

Oh, and go Rockies! Big win over the Dodgers last night.

Did I hear the Nuggets and Lakers are playing in the NBA playoffs? Go Mahmoud Abdul Rauf!

I haven't watched any movies lately.. Hmmm.. Any recommendations?

I'm only hating on Engblom because he use to do Kings radio way back when and was a part of the clusterf**k broadcast team last night.  Did you notice that they never told their audience when the Kings went on the power play or what the penalties were for?

The Kings need to get on the ball and provide me with Bob and Jim before and after the games just to counter all this ridiculousness.

We’re going to dance
We’re going to dance
We’re going to dance
And have some fun

Dig

The chills that you spill
Up my back keep me filled
With satisfaction when we’re done
Satisfaction of what’s to come
I couldn’t ask for another (I-I-I-I)
No, I couldn’t ask for another (that’s right)
Your groove I do deeply dig
No walls only the bridge
My supper dish
My succotash wish (sing it baby)
I couldn’t ask for another (uh-huh, uh-huh)
(I-I-I-I) No, I couldn’t ask for another

Groove is in the hea-a-a-art
Groove is in the hea-a-a-art
Groove is in the hea-a-a-art (astronomical)
Groove is in the hea-a-a-art (hit me!)

Watch out!

The depth of hula groove
Moves us to the nth hoop
We’re going through too
Horten hears a who-o-o
I couldn’t ask for another (I-I-I-I)
No, I couldn’t ask for another
DJ Soul (Soul!) was on a roll
I’ve been told he can’t be sold
He’s not vicious or malicious
Just dee-lovely and delicious
I couldn’t ask for another

Someone’s in this torso (yeah)
Hot! Gotta deal you wanna know (wanna know)
Dee-Liteful truly Dee-Liteful (liteful)
Makin’ it doin’ it 'specially at show (show)
Feeling kinda high like a Hendrix haze (haze)
Music makes motion moves like a maze (maze)
All inside of me (side)
Heart especially (yeah)
Help of the rhythm where I wanna be (c’mon)
Flowin’ glowin’ with electric eyes (ha)
You dip to the dive baby you’ll realize (yeah)
Baby you’ll see the funky side of me
Baby you’ll see that rhythm is the key (hmm!)
Get get ready with it (with it)
Can’t can’t quit it (quit it)
Stomp on the street when I hear a funk beat (beat)
Playing Pied Piper
Follow what’s true
Baby just sing about the groove (sing it)

Groove is in the hea-a-a-art
Groove is in the hea-a-a-art
Groove is in the hea-a-a-art
Groove is in the hea-a-a-art

Groove is in the heart
1-2-3 brrrrr

Blow them horns, oh lord

Groove is in the hea-a-a-art (yeah)
Groove is in the hea-a-a-art
Groove is in the hea-a-a-art
Groove is in the hea-a-a-art

True, but it was kind of a s**tshow of a game once the Kings got up 4-0.  I think everyone was caught unaware and they panicked.  And I'm surprised there isn't a local feed, flare or postgame show..

When I pressed the buzzer to get on property for work this a.m., the buzzer getting stuck in on (holy hangover batman)

Don't worry, if you're going to be Flyerswest it comes with the territory. When the Flyers were playing the Blackhawks in the finals the commentators were........ You guessed it (MSG employee so Rangers and Devils announcer) Doc Emerick and Former Penguin coach, Blackhawks player, and Chicago native Eddie Olcyzk. It really did sound like the announcers were openly rooting against the Flyers. I'm sure there were other announcer team available say Gary Thorne and Darren Pang (Or if they had to have Mike Emerick how about using Bill Clement for color) anything more neutral than the team they used. JIm Hughson and whoever else does games with him on CBC simulcast. Ay number of options might have made the Flyer fan base happier during that series. If  (when) Flyerswest move further along expect play by play from the Vancouver guy and color from the Sharks (bald) guy.

I'm tired, and in a terrible mood as well. Two of our smoke alarms have been alternating going bats*** crazy since 6:00am. The first time, I went around and checked the walls, thinking maybe there was some sort of electrical problem causing the walls to be hot or something because there was no odor of smoke at all. When I couldn't find anything, I clicked the little reset buttons and went back to bed. The second time they went off, about 20 minutes later, I replaced the batteries in both of them. They've proceeded to keep going off since then. Not happy. I'm about to rip them both off the wall and go all Office Space on them. UGH!

Back to work. Behave.

Gotta disagree with you there!

IMO, Doc is one of the thee most unbiased commentators out there!  That's why he's the #1 commentator for the NHL!

I think, as a fan, when you are passionate about your team, you can hear things that sound biased, that really aren't?!?! (shrug)

I've heard Olyczk criticize Chicago many times on NBC for the games he's done with Emerick!  I think the good announcers know how to call a game as they see it and leave the favoritism at home! They know that it could cost them their job if otherwise!

If you want to talk about biased network commentators, we could talk Joe Buck & Joe Morgan all day long!

I despise ketchup too - I only use it for cooking, and even then only in very small doses (I put ranch on my burgers when I have them..not a big burger person anyway). However, somehow my daughter is a ketchup FREAK. She puts it on everything...burger, hot dogs, chicken, ham, green beans, carrots, broccoli, you name it. She's gotten better, but geez. She used to put it on her steak until I told her that if she was going to put ketchup on it, she didn't appreciate it as much as it deserves and she wouldn't be eating steak anymore.

Totally agree with you, I can't stand ketchup.... I've actually been the guy at Burger King that took his Whopper back up to the counter to return it because they put ketchup on it.  I also hate pasta with tomato sauce and tomatoes in general.  I choose to use BBQ sauce instead.

The only thing that should red on a steak is blood.

I've done that too.  In fact, I almost made a scene once when I was told I didn't order it that way.

I should have been more clear... anyway, the seats i have for the game are in "the coke zone." it's really high up and scary, but rumor has it, all sodas and food are free and there's a telescope shaped like a coke bottle. should be wild!

Running out the door to work, so I'll just say good morning, Keep it up, Kings, Becky I love your tweets.

Golf was cold yesterday, but oh so fun.  I missed that too.  Working Men's night on Wednesday.

It's miserable and rainy here today, so I hope the sun shines on the rest of you!!!

1. As a human-being Doc Emerick has biases (It's human nature) we all do. Again I note that his primary salary comes from MSG.

2. That may be true. I see you're a Blackhawks fan, I'd expect you to have a different memory of the way that series was announced.

3. Olcyzk does a bunch of games for the Hawks I don't watch them all. I was talking about how he commentated the finals against the Flyers not every Blackhawks game he's ever done.

I don't like to talk about Joe Buck mainly because expletives would be involved, but also because after the Phillies won the World Series he sounded like he was sucking on a lemon when he had to say it.
#46 | 414 days ago

I used to put ketchup on my chicken when I was a little kid.

Somebody should have hit Ama're over the head with a fire extinguisher weeks ago. He moves around so poorly, he could get stuck in the zombie mud trap down by the river. Actually, every time he goes on the D/L I fully expect not to see him again until he comes out of the barn after Sophia. My Knicks finally have a puncher's chance to win a game with him out. A. Game.

Barkley won an Emmy. ha, love it.

Talk about burying the lede. When you get to it, it's one of the greatest "Wait. What?!??" moments of all time. (BTW I say Joe was the "person who was removed" from the inner circle.) It's like the sum of all jokes.

Louise on Bob's Burgers kills me. I ripped through Season 1 over the weekend on netflix.  (I used to love Dr. Katz and this is basically the same crew. Home Movies was okay, I guess, but this is awesome.)

That's it.

I will agree with you that we all have biases.  I don't recall hearing any of them 2 years ago in the finals?  I'll have to go re-watch those games.

I made that comment about Olcyzk in the manner of stating that I didn't think I ever recalled him showing his biased side during nationally televised network games??  You may be right on that?

Lets not go "there" as far as "because I'm a HAWKS fan", I wouldn't notice or remember any biased statements towards or for my team!  First and foremost, I am not one of "those" fans.  I've been a Hockey fan for a very long time and I pay attention to the entire sport and not just what my team is doing.   Another reason why I try very hard NOT TO click on the COMMENT links when reading articles on ESPN or CBSSPORTS or other sites.......I'm sick and tired of listening to "fans" post complete BS about things that they don't know.  Especially the 2010 & 2011 playoff threads with Vancouver, Philly and Chicago fans involved.....it was ridiculous!
There were times that I had to defend Philly and Van fans due to idiot Chicago fans posting incredibly stupid and incorrect stuff as well as reading a ton of stupid crap coming from Philly and Van fans as well.

I am guilty, like all of us, when it comes to the officiating seeming biased towards a team, but, that's with all sports (Baseball, Football, Basketball & Hockey).

Ketchup is camouflage for nasty food. Why do you think it's so good on a hot dog? Hot dogs stink. Why do you think it is so great on fries & onion rings? They are no good for you.  I use it just like I use Hot Sauce or Mayo. Glad I could help. Now that that's covered...

   *  Laurel,  Have you noticed that the "Hot Grandmas" ratio has skyrocketed though?
   *  Nick  outside the "ketchup chick" I see your making a breakthrough. Love me some "Dee-Lite"
   *  Ash while recuperating over the weekend J.R. & I, in honor of the Avengers movie release on Friday, watched EVERY individual members flick. Even the (horrible) first "Hulk" movie. speaking of which...
   * Becky again I know you & Thor have this thing you have, if you happen to bump into Black Widow...
   *  Nyce  yes
In closing, I will never rejoice or celebrate the demise of another human life, but...with this being the first anniversary of the attack & subsequent death of Osama Bin Laden this is the closest I've come to this date.

Hola amigos y amigas.

Ketchup: Only sometimes with french fries. Mostly I use ranch for chicken, fries and stuff!

Becky: Go Kings!! Congrats!

So today is my oldest daughter Stephanie's Birthday! She wants me to make her funfetti cupcakes, so that's whats for dessert tonight. I would post a picture, but I'm at work and I don't have any saved here.

Have a wonderfully amazing day everyone...and if I am Drawing Something with you, I can't draw right now because it drains my phone battery, and I forgot my charger!

Thoughts of the day.

1.  Kentucky is the new midwest.  Our weather is severe thunderstorm central the past few weeks.  And because I'm a sick f**k, that's a good thing.
2.  I wanted Krispy Kreme for lunch, so I ate Krispy Kreme for lunch.  The HOT sign was on.  How is a girl with pms supposed to pass that s**t up?  She's not.  (I couldn't help but think that hot glazed doughnut would be yummy with a slice of bacon).
3.  Tonight on the Kentucky Derby Festival calendar is the Pegasus Parade Preview.  People get to interact with some of the balloons and floats that will be taking part in the parade on Thursday.  It's a free event that costs $8 for parking.
4.  A co-workers two year old kid told me he liked my boobies this morning.  Seriously...some things start early and never change.

I love ketchup, but if it's going on chicken, only nuggets or chicken fingers (even though other sauces are preferable).  I also put it on my scrambled eggs, so there.  How do you like them apples?

The only kind that I can tolerate is whole grain honey. But anything not that, just no.

And Ashlie, I eat ketchup with fries/tots/hamburgers/hot dogs. I know many that put it on eggs, but I just go with salsa.

Had a dream I said, about who he said?
about B.I.G. I said, that's big he said
Dig what he said, proceed he said
Indeed I said, so - breathe I did
Don't repeat what I say I said, he said nothing
He agreed with his head, he just nodded like this
What I believe to be a yes I repeated what was said
It came to me like a well as even I said
"What's the deal, playboy?" was the greeting he said
First thing I wanted to know, what's the reason he was dead?
"More money -- more problems, better believe it," he said
"Careful what you wish for you might receive it," he said
I see I said, jealousy I said
Got the whole industry mad at me I said
Then B.I. said, "Hov' remind yourself
nobody built like you, you've designed yourself"
I agree I said, my one of a kind self
Get stoned every day like Jesus did
What he said, I said, has been said before
"Just keep doing your thing," he said, say no more

[Faith Evans]
Was it all a dream - tell me
Was it all a dream, was it a dream
Was it all a dream
I gotta know ("It was all a dream")
Was it all a dream - was it a dream
Was it all a dream, a dream
Was it all a dream

[Notorious B.I.G.]
It was all a dream, I used to read Word Up magazine
Salt'n'Pepa and Heavy D up in the limousine
Hanging pictures on my wall
Every Saturday, "Rap Attack," Mr. Magic, Marley Marl
I let my tape rock 'til my tape popped
Smoking w**d and bamboo, sipping on private stock
Way back, when I had the red and black lumberjack
with the hat to match
Remember Rappin' Duke? "Duh-ha, duh-ha"
You never thought that hip-hop would take it this far
Now I'm in the limelight 'cause I rhyme tight
Time to get paid, blow up like the ("World Trade")
Born sinner, the opposite of a winner
Remember when I used to eat sardines for dinner
Peace to Ron G, Brucey B, Kid Capri
Funkmaster Flex, Lovebug Starsky
I'm blowing up like you thought I would
Call the crib, same number same hood, it's all good
Uh, and if you don't know, now you know, *****

[Hook]

"Public Service Announcement (Interlude)"

This is a public service announcement
Sponsored by Just Blaze and the good folks at Roc-A-Fella Records

"Fellow Americans, it is with the utmost pride and sincerity
that I present this recording, as a living testament and recollection
of history in the making during our generation."

[Jay-Z]
Allow me to re-introduce myself
My name is Hov', OH, H-to-the-O-V
I used to move snowflakes by the O-Z
I guess even back then you can call me
CEO of the R-O-C, Hov'!
Fresh out the fryin pan into the fire
I be the music biz number one supplier
Flyer than a piece of paper bearin my name
Got the hottest chick in the game wearin my chain, that's right
Hov', OH - not D.O.C.
But similar to them letters, "No One Can Do it Better"
I check cheddar like a food inspector
My homey Strict told me, "Dude finish your breakfast"
So that's what I'ma do, take you back to the dude
with the Lexus, fast-forward the jewels and the necklace
Let me tell you dudes what I do to protect this
I shoot at you actors like movie directors [laughing]
This ain't a movie dog (oh sh**)

"Now before I finish, let me just say
I did not come here to show out, did not come here to impress you
Because to tell you the truth when I leave here I'm GONE!
And I don't care WHAT you think about me - but just remember,
when it hits the fan brother, whether it's next year, ten years,
twenty years from now, you'll never be able to say
that these brothers lied to you JACK!"

[Jay-Z]
Ving ain't lie
I done came through the block in everything that's fly
I'm like, Che Guevara with bling on, I'm complex
I never claimed to have wings on
Ni**a I get mine - by any means on whenever there's a drought
Get your umbrellas out because, that's when I brainstorm
You can blame Shawn, but I ain't invent the game
I just rolled the dice, tryin to get some change
And I do it twice, ain't no sense in me
lyin as if, I am a different man
And I could blame my environment but
there ain't no reason why I be buyin expensive chains
Hope you don't think users are the only abusers ni**az
Gettin high within the game
If you do then, how would you explain?
I'm ten years removed, still the vibe is in my veins
I got a hustler spirit, ni**a period
Check out my hat yo, peep the way I wear it
Check out my swag' yo, I walk like a ballplayer
No matter where you go, you are what you are player
And you can try to change but that's just the top layer
Man, you was who you was 'fore you got here
Only God can judge me, so I'm gone
Either love me, or leave me alone

The Black Album has gotten it's fair share of airplay in the Corolla these days.  Today feels like a Friday cuz everyone's been feelin' it.  A dude danced across the street in front of my car (I had my windows down and my sunroof open).  This city is full-on ready to party this weekend.

Easy crock pot meal, cook time 3 hours 15 minutes, prep time 10 minutes based on knife skills.

3 medium potatoes sliced
1 medium onion, cut in to radials
2 peppers julienned(I used one red and one green)
1 package of andoullie sliced
1-1 1/2 cups of cheese(I used a sharp cheddar)

Layer half the potatoes in the bottom of crock pot, then put half of the other ingredients in(except cheese). place the rest of the potatoes in and top with remaining ingredients(except cheese). Cook for 3 hours on high. Top with cheese and let finish for last 15 minutes. Enjoy.

You can do this on low, it will take about 5-6 hours to cook.

It might be the *expletives*

but generally threads with tons of pics do take a lo-o-ot longer to load.

Sure. It's no problem for me here on Chrome, thank goodness. But at work, on the other 2 browsers, it's a general issue. Takes me forever just to make or copy a poll. Do you know if it's fixable? I thought it was just the work pc at first, until Violet said she was having the same issues.

It is fixable by working at work and not playing on the internet!

That doesn't fix sh**. I work at my desk. This site will be open while I'm there. I wish the government was paying me to sit at home and enjoy Chrome. Must be nice.

Site slowness is tricky, regardless of browser...I will make sure the techs are aware of it though. If it CAN be fixed, it will be fixed :)

As of right now it is not the government that is paying me, it is my old employers. In AZ if it is determined that you were unjustly fired, your old employer has to pay you a certain amount based on how much you made and how long you worked for them. After that expires then you can seek assistance from the state. So my old job is paying me to sit at home and enjoy chrome. My point for you  is that if you were working rather than playing on the internet, you would not know how slow their browsers are.

I wasn't trying to  besmirch your character as a Hawks fan. I was merely stating as a fan of theirs you would have had a different take than I did on the commentary.

1)  I'm an 'okie' now living in Ky. and feel right at home now .   2)  Nothing wrong with people feeding their cravings .   3)   Not driving up from B.G. to pay $8 to park - lol   4)  I see nothing wrong with being honest - I would most likely say they were nice also , its in our genes   hehehe
