Last 3 minutes of the game was the loudest I've ever heard it at STaples. We were the 7th player on the ice for the Kings. IT WAS AWESOME!!!! I'm pretty sure I caught every throat cootie available in the place, but it was well worth THIS!

Happy Monday All- ok fight this weekend but Mayweaher is a fraud- get in the ring with Pac-Man,,, Knicks finally won a playoff game- no wonder there's so much rain now in the nation
#7 | 377 days ago

4 hockey games and a baseball game partially played in the rain this weekend.. I feel like I've been hit by a truck
Throw in the fact I'm going on day 5 without a certain someone around, per se, with still another 2 to go and I'm not in a pleasant mood.

There is one image from this weekend that goes continually make me smile and that is Floyd Mayweather standing in the ring on Saturday, flanked by 50 Cent, Hunter Hearst Helmsley and the Biebs.  You can't even find that level of douchiness on the shelves at CVS

Cheers to Albert Pujols for finally hitting his first HR as an Angel

The Rockies are awful

Hey!

Hope everyone had a fun and relaxing weekend!

Bulls are DONE!!  DONE, I tell ya!  Pathetic!  Gotta give credit to Philly though!  They want it more!

One rant that I have about this series to date. The fans in Philly HAVE to be THEE WORST FANS IN SPORTS!  When Joakim Noah rolled his ankle in game 3, to which I thought he broke it, the Philly fans where cheering as he lied on the floor in agony and then when he got up and hobbled off the court, they booed him!  WTF?!?!  I don't care if you are thee most hated person in sports, which NOAH IS NOT, as a fan, you never cheer an injury and boo when they seem to look ok........that was the worst class of sportsmanship and class that I have ever witnessed! RANT OVER!

3.5 months until NFL Preseason football!  woot!

Congrats to Becky and those LA KINGS!!  Hell yes!!

Took my mom to the Cubs - Dodger game on Friday. They won 5-4 on 5/4 and won 2 out of 3 for the series. Only the 2nd series win of the year for them.  It was the first game of the year for me with my season tickets!  Going tomorrow night to see the BRAVES and then a week from Wednesday to see PHILLY! Next game after that is 6/16 vs BOSTON.

Here are some pics from the game (Ron Santo statue, 3 views from my seats and a pic of Kemp and Billingsley)

OH. The Avengers was fanf***ingtastic. RDJ was perfection, as always. I heart him the most, but Mark Ruffalo was... spot. on. Idk why people were so against it. My bias has nothing to do with me telling you all that he was great as the Hulk. Captain America IS better with a team. Only criticism is that I'm pretty sure he was fully clothed the entire time. I don't like. Scarlett.... mmhmm. And Thor.... and mmhmm... just a great time. I think I'm going to see it again.

A few things:
1 - I have a migraine since yesterday. At first I thought it was a caffeine headache so I overloaded on coffee yesterday, which made me too jittery to sleep last night. When I still had it this morning I decided to nap until noon rather than getting up and following the regular routine - that worked a little bit but not as well as I had hoped...it's still there, vaguely, but reminding me that bright light (Gizmo!) and too much noise probably aren't such good things. I'm not really looking forward to 3:00, for that reason.

2 - Congratulations to my Kings fans out there! How exciting.

3 - So this chick who wandered out onto the court last night is a Nuggets stalker? Has anybody seen Nellie around lately? I need to investigate.

4 - I got the confirmation in my email for my Nook last night. I didn't order it, though my husband told me to. That sneaky man of mine.

5 - I'm thinking about taking my kiddo to see The Avengers. Is there anything I should be concerned about a 10yo seeing? I also am not sure about this - does anybody think it will still be in theaters in 2 weeks? I might want to wait until Trev's boat moors up.

My Knicks didn't get swept. That's a moral victory as far as I'm concerned. James Harden in beast mode with the fauxhawk and that crazy homeless-hipster beard is really something to see. Is their a more enjoyable team to root for (other than your own) in the NBA? Dear baby Geezus w/your gold fleece diapers, let OKC beat El Heat in the finals. Pretty please with sugar on top.

Speaking of fun bandwagons, Go Kings! Maybe it's because I follow a few of their truthers - Becky & Boski - on twitter, but still. Without a horse in the race, it's always fun to go with the underdog. And, this dog is having it's day. I also think 'Fenix' closes out the Preds tonight too. When was the last time the 2 playoff teams with the least reg. season wins made the conf. finals? Philly, wtf? Seriously.

And since it's Ball-Park-Monday, here's Turner Field from my patio.

Ha, the drainage is a little exaggerated cuz of the angle of my phone-cam. I kinda just stuck my head out the door. And no garden. lol My neighbor Heather had one last year, but it ended up being a 'potty' for the couple down the hall's 3 cats. Took the day off to take my first practice exam for Regulation (which is approximately 80% tax and 20% law). It didn't go quite as well as I had hoped, although certainly far from panic mode, especially since I haven't fully reviewed yet. Still, lots of work to do. It's partially my fault, as I've let myself get distracted at times by the playoffs and stuff on TV.

My true final review begins today, at least once I can get my energy back after taking the practice exam. These things drain a lot of mental energy out of you.

I wrote this last night and posted it today (see: those distractions I talked about). Read it so my sacrifice to my studies wasn't in vain.

There was a line in a movie review...."Final thoughts: Whedon does good things with 3-D when it comes to grand-scale settings, and Loki calls Black Widow a mewling quim. I mention that last bit by way of saying that parents should know the tone gets pretty adult in places." in the San Diego Reader.

I really didn't notice that line.  If that was the exact words, it wasn't that noticeable.   Comic book violence.  "No civilians were harmed during the filming of the invasion."

And, I think you're safe with the movie being in theaters in 2 weeks.  (Unless your theater is one that drops movies like Harry Potter (Avengers beat out Harry Potter's biggest movie for opening weekend.)

1. Is Canadian Soccer on Ice over yet?

2. Thank you to the NBA, the Nuggets, and the Lakers for reminding me why I don't watch the NBA anymore.

3. I might be going to see the Avengers this week, should I shell out for 3D?

4. Tommy Rees is in trouble with the law and some ND fans are calling for his dismissal from the team. ND haters are calling them hypocrites since they think that what he did is the same as Michael Floyd and Floyd was not removed from the team. In fact some of them think he was not disciplined at all.

Of course we don't have all of the facts that were brought up in that court room, but, IMO, there is enough in that article for my to pass judgement on that judge and say that judge should be removed from the bench!   This judgement does nothing more than deter people from wanting to go and help a person in need of help.   I am still outraged over this!

All I have to say is that women BETTER press charges against her husband for what he did to her, especially since he's not getting charged for kicking that guy in the head 10 times and putting him in the hospital!

I enjoyed The Avengers a lot last night. One small problem had to do with the tiny theater I was at, they had the audio going without video... Everyone seemed fine with that with the trailers, then we realized the actual movie was starting without the video. Took about 3 minutes in before they finally stopped the audio. Then about a 10 minute wait and everything went well.

I agree with Ashlie that Hulk was spot on, my favorite single line was either from Banner or Thor. I felt like an idiot with the first end credit scene, as I didn't know who the hell it was - again, don't know Marvel very well. Am excited for Thor 2 when that comes out late next year. Hopefully they'll start with where it ended in this movie.

I dvr'ed it because I was at my mom's this evening.  I can't wait to watch b/c I knew it would be a good one from the previews.

Watching The. Voice.  I got outvoted so missed hockey.  Think that might be a good thing, except that my children think somehow I want to hear them sing the songs instead of the performers.  Can't remember when I have said "STFU" so many times.

Thank God I was off work today.  I tried to get to my mom's doctor, but they didn't have a spot open for the day so they told me to go to an urgent care center close to their office.  I saw a nurse first there and she had an extreme blonde moment.  She asked me "are your eyes red?"  I said "yeah, you can tell just by looking at them."  Do I really have to tell you this when you're looking at me while you talk to me?!  Then she asked me to read an eye chart covering one eye...that worked real well with the eyes looking like they did.  After about 2 minutes of struggling she said "yeah it's probably hard with them so red and watery...ya think?  They were all nice, including her, but damn was that woman a ditz!  The doctor told me it's either pink eye or an allergy, didn't think a sinus infection like I figured.  I have a script for eye drops that I have to take every 4 hours, and already my eyes aren't as bloodshot and I can open them up more.  He gave me an excuse to be off work tomorrow if I still look like someone beat the crap out of me, but I may not have to worry about that if the drops keep working.  I will do WSI in the morning a day late.

BK over and out

Nerd Alert: I'm kind of amped that they're bringing Thanos into the mix. He's more interesting than what they tried to do with Galactus.(the whole silver surfer thing should have been a stand alone movie involving other heralds imo) I'm also pumped for possible 'civil war' story arcs/franchise mash ups (hence all the reboots, pre-quels and origins) by marvel studios.

I don't know what any of this means, but I'm alright with that.

Dark Knight Rises, Man of Steel, The Flash, Wonder Woman, and then Justice League in a year or two. (And then Leo's IMDb page still says Aquaman is on Projects in Development, which makes me laugh.)

I'm going to go play some DCUO now until I go to bed.

I don't know how it works in IL, but in Florida, the state presses charges once an arrest has been made.
The victim can not drop the charges.   Of course, the court can dismiss it.   Seen it, been there too many times.
My daughters baby daddy had tried to choke her death twice and the state has dropped the charges both times.

Btw, she left him one month ago.  yes

I agree totally.  After watching this episode and seeing the vast difference in what Americans are doing in general and what was going on (not just at Cook it Raw, but in Tokyo as well)...we have definitely got it all wrong.
