How do you mend a broken heart? I believe they call it Jagermeister.
We are all old enough to have had our hearts broke at least once or twice.  And we all our have our own way of getting through the pain. I,for one tend to do it with bud light , girlfriends telling me how much better I deserve, and jagermeister. How do you mend a broken heart? I believe they call it Jagermeister. Photo  And at least for the next day, maybe two if it was a really good night out, my way works for me.

What is your way of dealing with your heartbreak?

And I would like to thank a certain dickhead for promising me to keep being one to me. How do you mend a broken heart? I believe they call it Jagermeister. Photo

Kinda the way I like him.

Two words: sexual walkabout. It's really just a combination of 'The Gentleman's Intermission' and 'Livin' La Vida Lohan.' It's the third chapter in my book, " men are from mars, women are from venus which is a dry, arid planet so make it rain"

Footnote: Just kidding, and for the record never NEVER EVER take my advice on anything pertaining to affairs of the heart.
Stoney and Janet are my idol.

How do you mend a broken heart?

How could you stop the rain from falling down?
How can you stop the sun from shining?
What makes the world go round?

cheeky

I found, in the past, that Alcohol is NOT the answer, for me!  Alcohol is a depressant and sure, it made me forget things.......for a while!  I was having fun, forgot about it all, but later on, well, it was not a pretty site! So, unless I drink until I black out, which has never happened to me, the after buzz affect sucks!

I do find that spending time with my friends helps.....just doing something that gets my mind off of whatever it was that saddened me, just not alcohol.......and it took me a few times to figure out that alcohol, at the end of the night, made it worse for me. HA!

Football, Alcohol, Strippers and Guns are all I need to get over a broken heart. Now you are a baseball fan(yawn) and it is not football season, so I would say substitute baseball. But you are a Cubs fan so that is probably only going to cause you more pain. Just take solace in the fact that the Cubs are better than the Twins this year.

Here would be my plan of action. For the next 48 hours I am in my pajamas watching the NFL network(since there isn't any actual football being played right now), drinking Guinness and Irish Whiskey. Then day three, I gather as many of my male friends together as possible and we head in to the woods with as much ammo and as many guns as we can gather(I may or may not have a friend that owns and AK-47 or two, one of which may or may not have a grenade launcher) and shoot the ever loving crap out of fruit, bottles, cans and maybe a fuzzy little bunny or two that make a bad decision. After an afternoon of that, the evening would be spent in the company of half naked college girls with daddy issues. Consuming more Guinness and Irish Whiskey, if that can't make you feel better and enable you to move on, well you must be a woman then.

Alcohol just ends up depressing me even more...whether it's during or after mass consumption. I find that what's worked best for me in the past is to become completely consumed with something that I enjoy, even if I have to force myself out of a funk to get up and do it. Preferably a hobby from which I get some sort of tangible results; photography, choreography, poetry (though poetry can be tricky in a depression), a craft of some sort, or a great big restoration project; something I can be proud of, and look back and say "I did that!"

Try a good, online war game, eases all the frustrations of RL, you'll enjoy the good feelings of victory

Hmmm, its been awhile, but, my last heartbreak, I printed out all his/our photos (172 pages), grabbed my tequila & ipod, went out to my burn pit and proceeded to toast than burn each picture while rocking out. I've dealt differently with each of mine, practice made perfect.

I bottle it up, drink, then drunk text or call certain individuals that i trust.  Ask Angie.

Of course I've also become an Ass recently and don't care anymore.  I am jaded and have sworn off love.  seriously.  no matter what else i might ever say on here.
I do that.

Um.. Alcohol IS the answer (or you're doing it wrong).

I'm partial to alcohol (and killing people) and video games. I'm partial to that everyday anyway, so it's an easy fix. I do what I do.

The day after my ex dumped for good, I had tickets to a Pirates game (this was back in college, when Pirates games constituted entertainment). They were makeup tickets for a rain out, and my friend and I were able to get into the club seats. Alcohol service does not stop there. Plus, there was a concert in the suites after the game, meaning more opportunities to drink. My memory is a little hazy after that, but I recall it helping.

Drink, hang with some friends, say dirty words, ask God why a lot, and on the real bad days cover your face with a pillow so the neighbors won't hear your wailing. Eventually (years) the pain eases up, for the most part. Just make sure that you don't let anyone else have that part of you ever again... that or do what 18packabs said.
