Wow!  That's hard!  These days, almost all athletes are a part of some charity.

Let's see.......

Warrick Dunn - helps single parent families by putting down payments on housing for them.

Robert Clemente (of course)

Mohammad Ali

Walter Payton

Tony Gwynn

MJ - the greatest player in NBA history.
Ken Griffey Jr - 1st ballot HOF player and he did it w/o roids.
Mark Grace - the stories of his "slays" are legendary and he was a great 1st baseman for my Cubbies for a long long time.
Jackie Robinson - a true trailblazer that played a game completely out of his element for the betterment of his race.
Brian Urlacher - one of the best MLBs in not only Bears' history (and that list includes Butkus and Singletary), but in NFL history as well.  Never been in trouble and he just goes about his business.  People say he'll show his age every year....I'll believe it when I see it.  Bear Down!

Emmitt Smith #1 in my book for his on the field while with the Cowboys and graduating from College. Plus all the charities he contributes too, not to mention doing the Big Brother thing.

Dree  Brews #2 for all the fundraisers he does to help the people of New Orleans.

Hines Ward #3 for his contributions on the field with the Steelers and because he's so damn good looking...

That's all I can think of right now.

He probably shouldn`t be in this list but I think what he attempted to accomplish on one leg for cancer was quite amazing, Terry Fox. And decades later the "Terry Fox Run" is still run every year making millions for cancer research.
Second would be Rick Hansen, a former para-olympian, who wheel-chaired around the world for spinal chord research. :)

If you want a good cry watch "The Terry Fox Story". I still tear up thinking about it when I`m not thinking about the WINGS outta the playoffs. :(

1.  Yzerman--No quit in him
2.  Dale Murphy--Class act player
3.  Tyler Hansbrough--Character
4.  Grant Hill--Super nice--even though I hated duke
5.  Mark Martin--Helps all the young guys

There are a lot more that I cant think of right now---basically anyone playing a "Team" sport that knows the "Team" got them there not just their own athleticsm.  Cant stand grand standing!

Magic?  A Good Man?  you better check some more accounts...contracting HIV by banging a bunch of chicks that weren't your wife doesn't exactly make you a role model
