Second?

Yes, I am!

Hello wonderful people. I've missed you, I've been working for two weeks in my new job and it's been good, so far. A lot of people work there, almost 3000 in 3 shifts, so I'm making new friends and maybe new enemies as well, but I think it's part of the job. I'm working from 2.30 to 10pm, I'm not used to work that much, but I was so happy when I received my first pay check just after 10 days of work smiley I guess eventually I'll get use to it , but I'm having a hard time right now,  I'm sleepy and tired. That's why I haven't been around lately.
I'll be checking the polls I've missed and come back later.

Have a great day you all. heartyou. Hugs & kisses.

Update. I'm going back to bed, maybe for an hour...or two...indecision

Random Thoughts....

1.  You guys dont care but its my last day and im really fu**ing happy about it.  This week has been extra shi**y.

2.  Good thing about scrub tops is how they show cleavage at the right angle.  I had that right angle yesterday when i was training the summer help yesterday.  Looking forward to more of that in about two hours.

3.  We're gonna play a game today.

4.  I want Max Payne 3.

5.  Why is it that the worse the sport is to watch the longer the playoffs for that sport are?

I guess He cannot behave properly, in School and at Home, must of got that from his Mom. So I have about 3 weeks to become a kind, compassionate, undersatnding, caring, thouhtful, and patient Man. Howdy Folks,

Almost got kicked out of my softball game last night for arguing balls and strikes (I was pitching).  I may have also of mumbled something under my breath that the ump may or may not have heard.  We lost...got mercied actually.  We may have some of the cutest girls in the league, but they are God awful.  We have the worst player in the league to boot.  Dude stopped at first base with two outs on a pop fly that he hit.  smh.  Look for me to be hungover most Wednesdays.  I can't play with this team sober.

Speaking of choking....

Are student loans the next housing bubble?  This is a very interesting read.

Congrats to Kyrie Irving on winning the Rookie of the Year.  If the Cavs get the #1 pick.....watch out in a few years.  Irving and Davis would make a NASTY tandem.

Looks like we won't be seeing Derrick Rose until the 2013-14 season.  FML.  I'm still in disbelief.  I suppose it's for the best....but damn!

Kerry Wood needs to retire.

That is all.  Have a great day and remember, Bob Barker don't play, yo!

had big T-storms move through our area last night....woke the kid up at 2AM, then woke up this AM to this terrible chemical smell in the house.  First I thought someone blew a clutch or car battery but no, there was a lighting strike in PA at a chemical plant and the wind was blowing west to east to Jersey....hopefully we don't develope any respiratory issues. indecision

This why NJ smells sometimes....it's from PA. wink

Hey, Hey, Hey!

How is everyone feeling this morning/afternoon/evening or whenever the f**k you are reading this?

Drove 20 minutes to my softball game last night, just to sit and wait an hour before it was called due to Lightening!  The park I play at has one of those Thunder & Lightening sensors on it. So, if there is lightening within a 10 mile radius, the siren goes off and everyone must clear the fields until the "all clear siren goes off".  We had rain but not enough to cancel the game. When there is lightening, there is a 20 minute wait for that "all clear" siren. Every time there is lightening, that 20 minute timer resets. So, no game!

Tonight, I'm taking my pops to the CUBS-PHILLY game!  Garza vs  Worley!  Of course, it was 86 degrees here yesterday and today, 64. So, tonight's game will be on the chilly side as I'm sure it will be around 56 degrees or so by game time.

Kerry Wood needs to be let go! As much as I loved this guy, he can't pitch anymore!  I think he's given up, at least, 1 run in every game he has pitched in this year.

LA KINGS - Becky, i agree with you on the bias for Smith and Doan!   Hanzal will definitely get suspended, then again, it is Shanahan  that is doing the ruling, so, who knows!  Doan's hit should not be suspendable due to the fact that Lewis turned at the last moment but since Doan is a repeat offender AND, it's Shanahan in charge, who knows?!?!  I think Smith should be fined for that slash on Brown, even though that type of stuff has been going on in the NHL since the days of Billy Smith. Personally, I think PHOENIX is done!!  They lost their composure and are not playing their game. I don't see how Phoenix turns it around enough to win 4 out of the next 5 games??

Enjoy your day, everyone!  Or least, try to!

Lucky 21...BLACK JACK!!!

Afternoon all....Kings won last night (congrats Teach!) and looked DOMINANT!  I agree that Mike Smith (better known as "common name") is an a-hole....and NBC has a love fest for him.  Having played hockey, cheap shots like that ruin the beautiful game.

Rangers to win tonight against the Devils...they've GOT to make my October prediction come true of the Rangers-Kings finals.  However, if the pattern continues, Rangers will lose this game and then win Game 3 in NJ.

Digging this "glasses for reading only" thing....but I STILL think about the scene in My Cousin Vinny..."You identified those boys without your nnnnnnnnnn--nnnn---necesssary pppppprescription eyeglasses"..."They're rading glasses"...

Have a GREAT DAY!

Smitty hasn't even peaked yet. Last night was just him testing the waters.

(Footnote: I left Ray Emery off the meter because I think he hooked up with my ex during my forced gentleman's intermission. So basically eff him. He should actually be where Roy is and it should start with the Bryzzer. I added Gump because I went to HS with his kids and he was quite the character to say the least.)

Every Monday I have a conference call for work at 1:30.

I don't have small yappity terriers - I have a rotty mix and a basset hound. The reason I don't have small yappity terriers is because I choose to avoid these situations. You would think that after a certain time frame had passed, they would get used to the routine of certain things - they did in Oregon. What gives? I'm at my wit's end today.

There was still 5 days between both teams closing out their 2nd round series' and the start of the Western Conference Finals. The Coyotes(whose series went 5 games) beat the Preadators on May 7 and the WCF started on May 13.

Right, cause even if both teams sweep their opponents in one round. They still wait till the originally scheduled game date, as if both teams took 7 games to advance. Then they wonder why the average fan doesn't watch. Maybe it is because you gave them 5 days to forget that you were still playing.

Two weeks before playing for the Championship? Versus 5 days between series' I could care less if they played at all. Football is the most popular sport in America, the average fan gladly waits that 2 weeks. Hockey and basketball are the 2 least popular, I would think that they would want to keep the momentum going and keep the average fan watching.

Also the NFL no longer goes 2 weeks without football before the Super Bowl.

These are 7-game series', 4 games at the very least...all of those games being played within just a couple days of each other, with travel involved. That's pretty exhausting for the players...I don't think they're worried about keeping up the momentum for the "average fan" as much as they are worried about making sure that everyone is as healthy and rested as possible for the next series.

I'm not all that concerned with the fact that hockey and basketball are less popular than football. I love football just as much as most other passionate fans. I just get tired of the attitude that some people have about sports they find inferior. Don't like it? Don't watch it. It's not like ESPN forces it on people. It's not necessary to bash it every chance they get.

Isn't that the same kinda of idea Nick Bolletieri and IMG sort of do? I think it may be a good idea to have several all over the country (or countries) and have them compete against each other. I need to watch that tonight.

Uhm no...nice try though. And let's not forget baseball has a long season as well as series playoffs too.

I'm tired of talking about this with you guys. Over it.

Can't wait for football season to start, but I'm enjoying the playoffs (GO RANGERS and KINGS!), having fun watching a few basketball games with my girls (GO LAKERS!), and even though my team sucks, I'm glad the Mariners are giving me something to listen to while I work at night.

Travel time? It is a 6-ish hour bus ride from LA to Phoenix, and since I am assuming that they aren't going to put millionaires on a bus. I would bet that it is a 2 hour plane flight at the longest.

I wasn't talking about this year specifically. The year that the Ducks won the cup, the finals were between Anaheim and Ottawa. That's a long trip, any way you look at it. Anyway - I'm done.

Fair enough, I did mean of the big four sports. I honestly have not watched a single playoff hockey game start to finish, this year. I have watched only one NBA playoff game from beginning to end. So give those stats, I don't think I could care much less.

Yes. I can count too. Now I don't know what the point of all this is. I have forgotten.

P.S. Your tatt looks like something from The Walking Dead. Does it hurt? Did you shave your other leg so it would match?

That hockey and basketball playoffs take forever to complete.

The best way to describe tattoo pain is that that part of the body feels like  it is on "fire." It doesn't hurt that bad and if you are getting something you really want, it is worth the pain. By the second day, unless you hit/rub it on something it does not hurt. No I only have the part of the body where the work was getting done shaved. Usually the artist shaves the area where the tattoo is being placed. Are you preparing yourself for possibly getting your first tattoo in the next 2 months?

Maybe something like this, instead of final it reads champions, instead of 2010 it reads 2012 and instead of the NHL logo, it has the LA Kings logo?

One more night and all of tomorrow to study for Exam #3. I have the time planned out, just have to execute the plan.

After the exam Friday, I'm headed home to visit my sisters for the weekend. The 11 year old said she wants to watch racing with me, so we'll watch Pole Day at Indy together until she gets bored. Hooray for indoctrination!

I tried to read through today's debate, but it just gave me a headache, since it's the same "football is the only sport that matters, and if you like anything else, you're a loser" talk as usual, which is beyond annoying. Football is the unquestioned top dog at the moment. Why so insecure?

Oh and Jess, to answer your question, it's because dogs are idiots.

Got B.o.B's Strange Clouds yesterday, going through a few times. Don't love any of them yet, closest is probably Bombs Away.

Morgan Freeman's Intro and Outro helps:

As the war between light and darkness continues
Heroes and villains become harder to identify
Kindred spirits separated at birth
Fighting for their place in time to be solidified
The clock ticks faster and faster
While time runs a marathon in this babylon
But see, the end is only the beginning
The beginning of the calm before the storm

------

As the mask of deception falls off the face of humanity
Unveiling the grim reality of duality

In which everyone is a casualty, no one will be exempt
Truth has many shades
It's not a matter of black and white, but gray

Although many, we are one, so in the final analysis
Could it be that we are fighting a war that can't be won?

2. OK...I'm a Kings fan.......I know I know .....shocker! But ...please tell me, you all (who aren't Kings fans) have noticed the complete lovefest the NBC f**ks have for Smith and Doan. I swear I want to shove my fist into my t.v and take them all out. I'm sure their chonies  need to be changed after the broadcast. And Stoney......Brian Engblom is horrible. And I'm pretty sure that Pang has some "size" envy.

3. When Hanzal took out Brown, I swear my heart stopped. Dirty. I can see how the Doan hit on Lewis can be argued that it didn't deserve a 5 minute penalty (though I think Doan sped up) but Hanzal's .....no way. Dirty. I'm seeing Coach Tippett in a whole new light.

4. Best tweet of the night............from @theroyalhalf   "Martin Hanzal's defense of his nasty hit was simply that he was just following Arizona's law and trying to rid Phoenix of Brown."......pretty sure I spit out my "drink" after reading that one.

5. Jason----I'm not even going to touch on your stupid typing. Jerkhole. Though, football seems to need 2 weeks off before playing their ONE game for the championship, and others seem to play after about a day off.

May you all have swell days!
I noticed it slightly, but as bad as you may think the western finals are, it's far worse here in the east.  Remember, the Rangers/Devils series has Doc Emrick, who just this year started being NBC's #1 broadcaster full-time and left as the play-by-play voice of the Devils after roughly 20 years.  I have a lot of respect for Brodeur, but his lovefest of Marty tonight made me want to puke.
