Welcome back. This is the part of the locker room where you can sit and chat and chill for a while without offending or being shushed. Maybe you wanna watch a dvd or listen to your mp3. Yes, I rhymed. Something on your mind, post it! Random question, ask it? Hijacking is allowed and encouraged. Join the party, troll around, have a beer. It's cool. All are welcome, but please leave all BS in the hall.

Morning. My sister graduates today (awww), and I may actually be buying a house :| That's all I have.

Buy me something pretty.

Hungover Thursday, folks.  My lil bro turned 21 so I decided it was a good idea to go shot for shot with him until 10.  Turned out to be a terrible idea.  Ahh well, life goes on....

Cubs still suck.

98 days till college football season.

That's all.....have a good one.

Sleep, what an amazing animal that stuff is…

Next Saturday from 7pm to 10pm I am playing in front a bunch of folks outside on a big stage, I am beginning to feel the stoked-ness already. OMG #1.

Kings, is it me or ARE YOU GOING TO THE FINALS… OMG #2. For a conniving, underhanded, four flushing little beeyatch, Mike Smith doesn’t whine much…

… Now what was it you were saying about Dustin Brown’s hit?

I will be glad to see Atlanta pull out of Cincinnati after tonight. Speaking of Cincinnati, I need to contact the kid that caught those back to back homers the other night and talk him into giving me some lottery numbers for Saturday. Come on Braves, you can do it. Win some.

I start working with posting property for delinquent taxes tonight. The way things are going these days, it is a little spooky to walk up to doors and tell folks they need to pay their taxes or they will lose their home. I hear there will be plenty of places to post this year.

My yard is looking like a botanical garden; I think I will be able to give everyone living within a 400 mile radius of me a tomato this year. My things to do list for this year is coming to* together. Next, skydiving naked. JK… kinda.

Hope you guys are well, miss y’all when I ain’t around, dig y’all when I am.

Later.

PS- Go Falcons, I like whatcha got going for the upcoming season. OMG #3

"F*** It" Eamon

[Verse 1]
see i don't... know why
i like you so much...
i gave ya all my trust
i told you.. i loved you
now its all down the drain
you put me through pain
i wanna let you know how i feel

f--k what i said
it don't mean s--t now
f--k the presents
might as well throw em' out
f--k all those kisses
they didn't mean jack
f--k you, you hoe
I don't want you back

[Verse 2]
you thought
you could
keep this s--t from me..yea
you burned witch
i heard the story
you played me
you even gave him head
now you asking for me back
you just another hack
look else where cause you're done with me
[CHORUS]

oww oww
uh huh ya (4x)

[Verse 3]
your question
did i care?
you can ask anyone
i even said
you were my great one
now its over
but i do admit i'm sad
it hurts real bad
i can't sweat that, cause i loved a hoe

[CHORUS]
oww oww
uh huh ya

Random Thoughts...

1.  Bought a bike two days ago and went riding yesterday afternoon.  Baby jesus on his pogo stick is laughing.  My taint is destroyed.  I was expecting worse actually but still....f**k...how did i do that s**t for hours on end when i was a kid?  I spent two hours last night digging that seat outta my a$$.

2.  Double Mini Movie Review by the Movie Snob...

a)  The Avengers...Good s**t.  I cant tear apart anything from an origin standpoint cause i never collected The Avengers comic as a kid.  Hulk was the best...except for someone's stupid idea to make him move like an ape.   Captain America looked like a stupid blue tampon.   I was worried about Whedon doing the movie because ive not been a fan of anything he's done in the past but i think he handled all pretty well...except the scene with Loki and Stark in the tower comparing d**k length.  That was horrid.
Also...can Gwyneth Paltrow stop trying to be hot already?

b)  The Woman in Black....no. Just no.  Little Harry Potter is like the male equivalent of Kristin Stewart.  He has one facial expression...open mouthed confusion mixed with slight disbelief.   Also...the audience is supposed to accept him in the role of a father less than two years after playing a high school wizard?   Plus all the scary parts were shown on the previews.

3.  My kid cant go a whole day out of school before she gets grounded.  Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu....its gonna be a long summer.

4.  Max Payne 2 was a dud.   I havent seen a checkpoint system as bad as that since Super Mario Brothers.   But The Darkness 2....one of the coolest games ive played in a while.

5.  Watched Xmen First Class again.  Christ...i would have Jennifer Lawrence's  babies.

MORNING.

So.........yesterday was fab. I think everyone who went by my classroom gave me a silent cheer or "Go Kings".....not to mention my kids were chanting, "Go KINGS Go" when I went to pick them up first thing in the morning. It was AWESOME!

Then later in the day, we had an assembly to honor graduating seniors who were alumni of my school. My first group of kids is graduating this year and two of the three honored were from that class. The boy (young man) read a list of things he missed............top of the list......pucks in my class. He also was excited to see how well the Kings were doing. I have done my hockey molder job well. laugh

OH........and we wrote letters to "Those who are no longer living with Us" in honor of Memorial Day and one of my students asked if she could write to my dad. She remembered. I love my class. I've been teaching 11 years and have always did this assignment. This is the first time I've almost been moved to tears and this assignment has produced some great writings. The future is looking bright.

After Friday, only 13 more days left of school. I'm going to miss this group of kids.

Later gators.

On a happy note, it's raining, and we have been in a drought for 3 years, so whatever.
Still won't drink the tap water, it has floaty things in it.

Another cab driver got shot to death over the weekend.  They arrested 2 guys.  I hope it is the same a-holes that
killed my friends driver.   Risky job,,,,,,

Aloha spam and eggers

Summer hockey started last night.. The result can be summed up in two words.. S**t show.. There's always next week.. Plus I'm debating on playing on another team in a different division as well this summer but haven't made up my mind.

The Rockies actually won last night. I didn't get to watch or listen, but my who gives a f**k o'meter is a notch higher today.

I see Jason's movid snob revies and and answer with one of my own.  Shame, starring young Magneto.  Spoiler alert, if you're homophobic, don't even bother as there is some swinging D in this one.  I always like movies where the director sets up scene where the tension and emotion of an actor is allowed to carry a scene without techno music, robots, explosions or Taylor Kitsch.  The pacing is a little slow, but the taboo topic and unsettling nature of Fassbender's character is actually quite enthralling..

I'm pissed Moonrise Kingdom isn't playing here this weekend.. G*y

Time to work some more. arrivederci

Elementary students usually line up out on the playground, or somewhere on campus, before class in the morning.  The teachers come out and escort them into class, from what I remember.

Morning, Everybodee!

I was watching the band yesterday at practice, and noted that they are often like a flock of birds.  You know when you see a flock flying around, they soar in formation, changing direction as one entity, it's beautiful to watch.  But often, something breaks up the flock and they scatter in all directions.

There are times when they are soaring together, sounding beautiful.  But one distraction, and, poof that unity is gone.     Just like watching a well practiced sports team, when they work in harmony, score.   When that harmony breaks, Cubs.    (Sorry Glenda, couldn't resist.  I really meant Padres.)

My daughter is currently snorkeling with her class out on the reef. Part of me is a little jealous - too cool, right? Who gets to go snorkeling on the reef with their 4th grade class besides Nemo? Speaking of Nemo, the other part of me is feeling a lot like Nemo's psychotically worried father. Five chaperones + 2 teachers for a 21 kid class...now I understand in normal circumstances that is MORE than enough. However, this is deep water and shark territory. Twenty-one kids snorkeling in the water all at the same time is a lot to handle, especially when you're doing something that is fun for the chaperones too - I have to admit that if I was there, I might be inclined to be a bit distracted.

Jason - LOVED the Avengers. I would be willing to part with another $60 to go see it in 3D again.

This Means War was super cute in that Rom-Com sort of way. Lots of action, lots of comedy, and even the romance was funny. No long drawn out bs. Chelsea freaks me out a little though, so there's that.

Only a week and 3 days before DISNEY WORLD!

OK Q'Lets, back to work!

I only wish we had the same parent participation for high school age students that you have for 4th graders.     What age level do parents mentally cut out on participating with their kids?    (From what I've seen, too many seem to cut out after their kids start school, foisting their apparently-not-so-precious darlings on public teachers.)

Speaking of movies... I'm a big fan of "The Whitest Kids U Know" crass, depraved, stoopid, ignorant and offensive comedy. So I was thoroughly delighted to find a complete fan edit of The Civil War on Drugs (completely NSFW) on YouTube. Also this!!!!! Composer John Williams playing Xbox at the 1:20 mark is too good. It may be may favorite 30 seconds on the internet (and, of course, NSFW"Just mute me fa@@ot" LMAO!!!!! Wow

A blonde wanted to go ice fishing.
She'd seen many books on the subject, and finally, after getting all the necessary "tools" together, she made for the nearest frozen lake.
After positioning her comfy stool, she started to make a circular cut in the ice.
Suddenly, from the sky, a voice boomed, "THERE ARE NO FISH UNDER THE ICE." Startled the blonde moved further down the ice, poured a Thermos of cappuccino and began to cut another.

Again from the heavens, the voice bellowed, "THERE ARE NO FISH UNDER THE ICE." The blonde, now quite worried, moved down to the opposite end of the ice, set up her stool, and tried again to cut her hole. The voice came once more, "THERE ARE NO FISH UNDER THE ICE."

She stopped, looked skyward and said, "Is that you Lord?"

The voice replied, "No ... this is the Ice-Rink Manager...."

There are three blondes stranded on an island. Suddenly a fairy appears and offers to grant each one of them one wish. The first blonde asks to be intelligent. Instantly, she is turned into brown haired woman and she swims off the island.

The next one asks to be even more intelligent than the previous one. So, instantly she is turned into a black haired woman. The black haired woman builds a boat and sails off the island.

The third blonde asks to become even more intelligent than the previous two. The fairy turns her into a man, and he walks across the bridge.

There were two blondes who went deep into the frozen woods searching for a Christmas tree.

After hours of subzero temperatures and a few close calls with hungry wolves, one blonde turned to the other and said, "I'm chopping down the next tree I see. I don't care whether it's decorated or not!"

Good day, bitches.

So what's-his-face from The Big Bang Theory is officially gay now.  This is my surprised face.  indecision

There's an uproar about a new show called "While The Men Watch".  Apparently it's about women who are with men who watch sports, and (ahem) while the men watch the sports, these two chicks talk about their point of view on the game.
OK, I get how it's sexist, in a way.  Then again, I think a lot of women out there (including myself) watch sports FOR the sport but also look at some of the things that these girls on the show are supposed to be talking about:  the players' looks, coaches in need of a makeover, etc.  (You can't tell me that anyone watching March Madness didn't see Anthony Davis and that large black caterpillar above his eyes and comment on how he needs a damn waxing, please.)  I'd love to see a show like this, only put a couple gals on there who actually KNOW about sports, then let them comment on the games AND the other things we more perceptive (and/or weird) girls notice.

How awesome would that show be with some of the ladies around here?  Could be like The View meets ESPN meets Fashion Police meets RuPaul's Drag Race (those bitches are critical).
Get your pets spayed or neutered. Please...

Isn't an agnostic just an atheist without b*lls?...

As someone who has waffled on this over the years, I would say an agnostic is more of "I don't know" type of attitude, while an atheist is pretty adamant is their non-belief. Thus, atheism is essentially a belief system as well. With agnostic, belief really doesn't enter the equation. I used to just say I flip flopped on the two depending on who much the conservative Christians were pissing me off at the time.

Oh wait, this is F/E, why was I dumb enough to think anyone actually wanted an answer? Dumbass me.

So if I DVR the game, and start watching it 20 minutes after the game starts, it shouldn't count as a watched live game, right???

Not watching cuz I think I'm a jinx is stupid and irrational.    Can I get a witness??   I'm gonna watch a Seinfeld rerun.  Ugh.

I got her!

Some of you may recall that I was a victim of a Silly String attack this last weekend.  I was woken up and called outside where I was ambushed by our Color Guard coach.  (Ok, admittedly, she barely got me, most of what she shot went over my shoulder, but some did hit the side of my head and right shoulder.)

And I was having trouble getting to the school to enact my revenge, having no running car.    Well, about an hour ago, the director called me, they were having dinner nearby, and there was a wonderful opportunity available.  I grabbed a couple of my kids, including Ms. Oddfool Jr and YoungFool, and went to work.   I didn't do anything too drastic, and I didn't want to go overboard, but...

I decided to wrap her car in string. (yarn, really, a nice pink that she likes)  I didn't even use the whole roll.  Then Ms. Oddfool Jr. and I went inside where they were eating.  She saw me and started cringing, wondering what was up.  I told her to remember that I had her phone #, and remember the silly string?  (I texted the photo to her)   Great reaction out of her, especially when she went to the car wondering if it was silly string or rope.  Of course, she vowed to get even.   Ought to get interesting around here.

OK Q'Lets, back to work!

hah - well...the other day it cost $39.50 for the three of us (me and my husband, and then our 10yo at a discount child's price) just to get in - and that was a matinee, before 7pm...and then $20 worth of popcorn and drinks. It probably won't cost you that much.

Yes that is funny, I do love when fans of Jordan call Kobe a ball hog. Jordan 5.3 assist per game, Kobe 4.7 assist per game. For their careers as of today, that gives Jordan all of about 200ish more assist than Kobe.

Sometimes I feel like I don't have a partner
Sometimes I feel like my only friend
Is the city I live in, the city of angels
Lonely as I am, together we cry

I drive on her streets 'cause she's my companion
I walk through her hills 'cause she knows who I am
She sees my good deeds and she kisses the windy
Well, I never worry, now that is a lie

I don't ever wanna feel like I did that day
But take me to the place I love, take me all the way
I don't ever wanna feel like I did that day
But take me to the place I love, take me all the way, yeah, yeah, yeah

It's hard to believe that there's nobody out there
It's hard to believe that I'm all alone
At least I have her love, the city, she loves me
Lonely as I am, together we cry

I don't ever wanna feel like I did that day
But take me to the place I love, take me all the way
I don't ever wanna feel like I did that day
But take me to the place I love, take me all the way, yeah yeah yeah

Oh, no, no, no, yeah yeah
Love me, I say, yeah yeah

One time

Under the bridge downtown
Is where I drew some blood
Under the bridge downtown
I could not get enough

Under the bridge downtown
Forgot about my love
Under the bridge downtown
I gave my life away

Yeah yeah yeah
Oh, no, no, no, yeah yeah
[Incomprehensible]

Where I stay

And let us not forget MJ left the game in the middle of his prime for almost two seasons.  I don't harbor disdain for Kobe (I do for Lebron though), but he ain't Mike.  NOBODY is His Airness....and I doubt that changes in my lifetime.
