Oh.....and this is how the Kings have started off each round. (9-0 on the road.....and this was probably their worse outing in those 9) Game 2 should be fab.

***One more thing......I feel so fortunate to listen to Emrick call these games. I've always wanted to know where every single Kings player use to play. indecision #Iwanthalloffamerbobmiller

First

First things first....David Stern is my road dogg!  By making the #1 pick part of the Hornets deal (yes, it was rigged), he pretty much ensured the Bobcats will suck for the next few years.  Why do I like that?  Because the pick my Bulls received in the Tyrus Thomas deal is unprotected in a few years.  That means we get another lottery pick.  I absolutely love how not a single fv*k is given by Stern.  He knows the conspiracy theorists are right, but he couldn't care less.  He's a damn boss!

Cubs are riding a three game winning streak and the southsiders are on fire.  I'm indifferent to the Sox, but props to a team many thought would compete for the cellar.  That said, it's only May....so pump the breaks, LJ!

Back to the NBA....it's a shame Lebron had nearly as many FT attempts at the entire Boston team.  Now I get that driving the lane is Lebron and Wade's game, but you better make sure the Cs get the same calls.  Rondo was clearly hit in the head in the OT.  I imagine it will even out at home.  Rondo....props to him.  I hate him, but dude was ballin' last night.  If he actually develops ma jump shot...watch the hell out.  It's pretty much the only thing missing in his game.  For now, I'll call it an aberration...though I'm sure Alain will disagree.

Props to the Kings.  I watched the 1st period.  Nice to see a former Blackhawk find the back of the net.

This may be the best website out right now....yes, I love sophomoric humor....as if y'all didn't know.

Semi-Annual sale is going on. Don't forget to link through ebates.

We share something so common
Feels so rare and I'm in awe
Never been here before
So high (so high) were still climbing
Even here still inside these walls
Breaking each other's hearts
And we don't cause were so...

[Chorus:]
In too deep, can't think about giving it up
But I never knew love
Would feel like an heart attack
It's killing me, swear I never cried so much
Cause I never knew love would hurt this fucking bad
Worst pain that I ever had
Never knew love would hurt this f**king bad
Worst pain that I ever had

Other times when I know I should be smiling
Seems to be the time I frown the most (Ohhh)
Can't believe were still surviving
Cause I'm slowly breaking down even when I'm holding you close
If I lose you, I'm afraid that I lose who I gave my love to
That's the reason I stay around, even though I fell way...

[Chorus:
[Bridge:]
Baby, Baby
And it hurts
Cause I wanna leave and you wanna leave
But the love keeps us together
And If I lose you
I'm afraid that I lose who I gave my love to
That's the reason I stay around, even though I fell way...

In too deep, can't think about giving it up
But I never knew love
Would feel like an heart attack
Oh It's killing me, swear I never cried so much
Cause I never knew love would hurt this f**king bad
Worst pain that I ever had

That was awful coverage by the Devils on the play Kopitar won it though

Do NBA fans debate how Lebron won the MVP of the league when he's not even the MVP on his own team?

Hope everyone is having a good day!

It's raining here in Chicago with a high of 55 after having 80 & 90 degree weather.....wtf?  Looks like no softball for me tonight (booooo)!

That Boston - Miami game, last night, made me sick!  I don't want to dwell too much on this matchup! GO SPURS or THUNDER!

How about those LA KINGS!!!  yes  This should be an outstanding and close series!
Although SOME people find trash talking fun, I'm not a fan of it and find that the more trash talking one does, the worst the outcome is for their team....almost like a KARMA thing?!

KAT gave me and ME ONLY a PQ for my "lowercase A-Team" midget picture yesterday. No one else got one for theirs! hahaha! Still love ya KAT! heart   So, in honor of your move, here is my counter move. Enjoy!

Konichiwa B!tches,

NO won the lottery, now I have to listen to all the retarded conspiracy theorists for the next year.  THE LOTTERY IS NOT RIGGED!!!!  It's just Karma evening itself out for MJ being the GOAT as a player.  The universe would implode on itself if he was the greatest at everything outside of his private life.

Stoney... if LeBron didn't play as well as he did last night the Heat would have lost!!  He fouled out The Truth and Dooling and nearly fouled out Pietrus on his own.  Wade was able to hit a couple big shots down the stretch but his missed FT's damn near lost the game for the Heat!!  JSWOL... if all you do is shoot jumpshots, you're not going to get a lot of FT attempts.  It's like, science or something.  Rondo should have gone to the line on the 'Head Slap' play, but sometimes life sucks... take it from me, I'm a Blazer fan!!

To paraphrase Kenny Powers:  "I just dropped some knowledge on you beautiful b!tches!!"

Hockey facts I learned yesterday.

1. The LA Kings have not lost a road game in 7 weeks

2. The LA Kings are 12-2 in the playoffs this year

3. the nj devils have never won the stanley cup, when they have lost game one of the finals.(ok this fact I just learned)

If hockey is like any other sport, the "hottest" team usually wins. The Kings are en fuego right now, they might even be a little too hot for the devils. Go team that is going to require Becky to get a tattoo! Did you come up with a design, pick an artist, decide where to place it on your body? You should hide a U.S.M.C. in it for your dad, just sayin.

I have a friend who's a huge fan of them, so they're always on my radar. (Plus, I remember the year they beat the Ducks in game one of the Finals against them in 2003)

If hockey is like any other sport, the "hottest" team usually wins. The Kings are en fuego right now, they might even be a little too hot for the devils. Pull off, beep-beep, shotgun in a GT with me

"'Cause once you get inside, you can't change your mind,"
"Don't mean to sound impatient, but you gotta promise, baby, ohh..."

Sometime I wanna be your lover,
Sometime I wanna be your friend,
Sometime I wanna hug ya,
Hold hands, slow-dance while the record spins,
Opened up your heart 'cause you said I made you feel so comfortable,
Used to play back then, now you all grown-up like Rudy Huxtable,
I could be your bud, you could beat me up,
Play-fight in the dark, then we both make love,
I'd do anything just to feel your butt,
Why you got me so messed up?
I don't know, but you gotta stop trippin',
Be a good girl now, turn around, and get these whippings,
You know you like it like that,
You don't have to fight back,
Here's a pillow - bite...that,
And I'll be settin' seperate plays,
So on all these separate days,
Your legs can go they separate...ways...

Word to the wise, areas with less "meat" on the bone tend to be more painful than those that do. I would guess foot/ankle area would be pretty painful.

WIth obvious changes,  on the top banner, you could place U.S. on one side and M.C. on the other. In the bottom replace the stars with his year of enlistment on one side and the year of his discharge/retirement on the other.

My apologies. Your use of the word "usually" just threw me, because I was pretty sure that wasn't accurate. Even if they dropped game one in two out of three previous series, "usually" seemed to be overstating it a little. But I get it - I always grab on to what I can when the odds start lining up against my team too.

Hola amigos y amigas :)

Nick~ Just to clarify, I pq'd you because you started that mess. It wasn't meant in a mean way. But I came into the poll last night and saw your pic again and I did pq. I didn't even look at the rest. smiley

Becky~ Congrats and Go Kings!!

Now on a more serious note. I am doing the Relay for life this weekend. I am the biggest procrastinator, but I didn't realize we had to create a page to fundraise. Anyways I am doing it for my niece, her name is Kaylani and when she was around 7 months old her mom noticed a lump on the side of her neck. At 9 months old she was diagnosed with cancer. After a long battle on June 8th she will be 4 years old and I am happy to say she is a cancer survivor. So if anyone would like to donate a few dollars to join the fight against cancer I would really appreciate it. I have a link to my page and there you can see a picture of Kaylani.
Thanks!

I hope you all have a wonderfully amazing day! heart

Foot actually wasn't bad at all - it was like someone was drawing on me with a sharp pen. It did get a little tender the day after though, trying to walk anywhere in shoes that had straps across where the tat is, but that didn't last long. I would definitely get another one on my foot. Of course, I have yet to get one on a meaty area, so there's that.

Based on how the parts of my new tattoo that are on my shin bone felt. I couldn't imagine getting one on my ankle or foot. The most painful part of any tattoo is when they are doing the work. As soon as they take away the needle the pain stops.

I might be a masochist - I like how it feels when they're actually doing the work. Except for my upper back in some spots, but the guy apparently didn't know what he was doing, because it scabbed up pretty badly and now has a marbled look (it's cool looking, but it wasn't intentional). It's when it's all done and starts burning like a bad sunburn and itching that is annoying to me.

Last night was nice, 24,000 fans at the Marlins game last night, with the HEAT sellout.  Everyone likes a winner.
And air conditioning, and a pool with a bar and dancers in the stands.
1/2 game out of first place, and I could not be happier with the month of May and the Marlins.

OK....starts burning like:
- when you accidentally touched a hot burner or oven rack/door
- when one of those jackass dudes who thinks they're funny walks by and slaps your A really hard
- when you take a drink or bite of something and it makes your mouth numb...that feeling right before the numbness sets in
- when you spill hot coffee down the front of you and some touches your neck/chest
- when you take a bite of something with napalm cheese and it drops on your chin (I actually had a burn mark from this once...)
- when you get hit by a bottle rocket or one of those stupid bouncing flower fireworks

I could go on, but I'm thinking there's gotta be at least one thing in there that is relate-able cheeky

Nick, I do like.  What's her name?

JSWOL... if all you do is shoot jumpshots, you're not going to get a lot of FT attempts.  It's like, science or something.

I understand that, but if you watched the game, there were some very ticky tack calls.  The discrepancy between the two teams was staggering.
I watched the game... The home team ALWAYS gets the majority of the calls, especially if they've got a star player (or two).  It's always been like that in the playoffs.  I would be willing to bet that Boston shoots more FT's in games 3 and 4 than Miami even though they are primarily a jump-shooting team.

O.D. in Denver by Hank Williams Jr

We started the tour out in Denver, Colorado
I made the first one but I did not make the second show
'Cause I met this girl there that brought about quite a big change
But I OD'd in Denver and I just can't remember her name

I guess you could say that my love life would not up to part
Too many nights alone had left some permanent scars
She told me she'd love me and I told her I'd do the same
Then I OD'd in Denver and I just can't remember her name
[ Lyrics from: http://www.lyricsmode.com/lyrics/h/hank_williams_jr/odd_in_denver.html ]
I brought it on myself and I guess that I shouldn't complain
Doc said son you can't do anymore of that coc@ine
But she made me higher than all of those expensive things
But I OD'd in Denver and wish I could remember her name

I turned to other things tryin' to make my daydreams real
But they don't take the place of the woman's face and her feels
She treated me nice and I like to find her again
But I OD'd in Denver and I just can't remember her name
I brought it on myself, kinda overdid

No problem, but I will say that:

A) You're Crazy because the only time Wade went to the ECF without LeBron was with Shaq;

2) LeBron has dragged a team with Larry Hughes and Donyell Marshall to the Finals before;

and III) Other than one game against Indiana, LeBron has more points, rebounds, steals, assists, and blocks than Wade.

All this about D-Wade>LeBron is CRAZY TALK!!!

Did MTV films make a movie, cause no matter how sh!tty it was, it will win Best Movie. I quit watching the year they gave Napoleon Dynamite Best Movie over Ray. Napoleon Dynamite was the sh!ttiest movie ever made, but because they distributed that film they gave it the best movie award.

2) LeBron has dragged a team with Larry Hughes and Donyell Marshall to the Finals before;

and III) Other than one game against Indiana, LeBron has more points, rebounds, steals, assists, and blocks than Wade.

All this about D-Wade>LeBron is CRAZY TALK!!!

I didn't say he was better. I didn't say anything other than without him, they aren't there right now. Yes, he had Shaq (no one wins alone)... and now he has Lebron.... or does Lebron have him? Because like you said Lebron was carrying a team before he got there, and left with nothing. Wade, on the other hand, has a ring.

Good day, bitches.

Obligatory "Go Devils", just for Becky and my manfriend (who's lucky the Stanley Cup isn't something I care about or he'd be in SUCH trouble).

I have nothing today, really.

Went to my BFF's stepdad's funeral yesterday.  I still don't get why people, after they hear you've gone to a wake/funeral, always ask "how was it?".  indecision  Oh, it was fantastic.  A humdinger of a time, really.
Since the deceased was a retired police officer, there were swarms of uniformed officers.  The police escort was nice, and I did get to sit on one of the cop's motorcycles (I know, I'm like a 5 year old), but it was a little creepy and oddly nerve-wracking to approach the coffin to pay my respects when it was flanked by two cops.  I felt like I might do something wrong and get cuffed.  It was weird.

And, because this made me giggle...

"Richards doesn't know if it's mold or mildew or what, but she knows in her heart what she sees: a likeness of Jesus, it's presence not without meaning."

Good Afternoon, Everybodee!

School graduation yesterday.  (No, I don't have any kids graduating, unless you count members of band and guard that I consider honorary Fools.)  Band played.  Was pretty uneventful.  I was able to attend, and since the college where graduation usually takes place had their field under construction, ceremonies took place at Cricket Amphitheater.  (A nice little venue that holds several concerts throughout the year.)   The band got there before I did, and was already set up.  I walked up to an usher that was blocking the pathway to the pit where they were set up.   I got to tell her "I know you've probably heard this before, but I'm with the band."   I got the director on the phone, and she was able to wave me in.

One of our students who have come over from another school in the district told us of their graduation the day before.  When one of the guest speakers, a School Board member, got up to speak, several seniors stood up and turned their backs to him in protest to recent budget mis-handlings, which resulted in several teachers being let go.

And there's apparently one mentally sick child in Massachusetts.   This 9-year old boy had done some wheeling and dealing, doing one of those Trade-items-for-other-items type things, where he started with a red paper clip, and ended up trading up to a Disney vacation.    He donated this vacation to a military family child.  (Very commendable!)     Disney heard of his generosity, and gives him a vacation of his own.    He turns around and is donating that one as well.    Awesome.

(Of course, I joked about the mental part, what child in his right mind would give away a chance to go to Disney World, let alone a second chance.)
Feel The Power of The ultimate Warriorrrrrrrr!...

That is cause you are a LeBron hater and don't want to even believe that he could ever win a title. I couldn't find the Heat record this year without LeBron, so I am guessing he didn't miss any games. But the Heat were 12-1 in games that Wade missed. Sounds like a MVP played through "injuries" and lead his team to victories when teammates missed games due to injuries.

That's not true. Anybody can win a title...kinda, sorta.  Look how many go sit on another bench late in their career to get them. The water boy might get one. You just need to be on the team. I've never said he can't win a ring. I've never even said he isn't talented or one of the best in the NBA. He is. Now. I hate him but I've never been blind or unrealistic when talking about him or sports in general.... unless you bring up John Elway, then I think everyone else is completely ridiculous, ugh. Anyway, I don't even think it's impossible for him to win this year. Do I want him to? F*** no. F*** him. But, I assume he will get one.

For some reason, I really just think he and Dwight on the same team would someone end up in catastrophe. I feel like having both of them one team would cause them to lose something in other areas. Maybe it works, like I said, I just don't know. It wasn't a definite yes, imm. That's all.

Idk what the mvp comment is about so okay. You think Wade doesn't matter maybe. Kk.

Edit: because I spelled catastrophe wrong. I'm stoopid.

Not saying Wade doesn't matter, difference is Wade has yet to take a team of scrubs deep into the playoffs, LeBron has. Sure I agree no one man has ever won an NBA title alone. Even Jordan had Pippen and even both of them got big shots, blocks, or steals from other members of the team. Look at Kobe in the years after Shaq left and until they got a couple of good season out of Pau, no titles. LeBorn ultimately needs Wade and vice versa, that is why they teamed up. Difference to me is LeBron is the MVP, because he can and has carried teams. I haven't seen Wade do this yet.

Ask Gary Payton, Karl Malone, Charles Barkley, and soon to be Steve Nash, how going to another team to "win" a championship, worked out for them.

He carried Cleveland. He's not been in Cleveland for a while now, so that doesn't matter much. Poor Wade, I guess. He's kinda like AI to me... he has been carrying them since he got there, and no one seems to know it but Pat Riley. Oh well.

Payton has a ring... got it with D-Wade, 'member?

Ask Peja, Kevin Willis, and....................................damn what's his name......I can see his face, hold please....Mitch Richmond! how it worked out for them. It's very hit or miss. That's one thing I love about this sport.
