Started Friday Night Lights last night and although I love it, I thought I was watching Varsity Blues. The pilot was basically just that. Either way, it's my new sh*t....until Marcus gives us the go ahead to start The Wire.

Happy Friday,,,,,,

My girl is spending the weekend out at the mudbogs. I will be spending Monday doing laundry.

Somehow, she turned all redneck on me over the summer. Hormones. Ugh. Monday she
leaves for North Carolina for a week and it will just be me, Rob and PS3 head son Joel. If he didn't
have to eat and S & S, I would never know he was here. Strange how kids have changed due to technology.
I dropped him off at his friends house to hangout. A 1 hour drive. He called me 3 hours later to pick him up,
because they wanted to play video games with each other online.

WEll hello there gang..

Not much to report on in this part of the country.. I've got a hockey tournament starting tomorrow and it's one of those that's really for a good cause. It's set up by Colorado Law Enforcement to raise funds for the Special Olympics and the goal this weekend is to raise $25K.. Should have amazing weather, free food, and where else is it ok to hang out in a parking lot pounding fine canadian beer while surrounded by cops, sheriffs, FBI agents, DEA agents and firefighters?

The Rockies continue their quest to 100 losses tonight (only 29-48 in their final 77 games will get it done)

NFL training camps are coming up soon, and you know what that means... Holdouts!!!!!

Been reading a lot of replies to the articles on ESPN about the Freeh Report on PSU ...ESPN does tend to lean on one side of the fence too hard way too often on many subjects, I will agree to this handily; but this one cannot be overlooked or ignored anymore.

The PSU institution will have to pay dearly for the miscreant acts of a few that should have turned a true monster into the authorities YEARS ago, but gambled about a school's reputation that would have been dented then..it is all but nearly destroyed now, for sure

And for those who see this as kicking a man when he's down...sorry, but what about those kids? Somebody should have been kicking THAT man when he had them, not covering for him.

The Hate-Watch**: Two scenes and two separate lines referencing FAX MACHINES on the last episode of the Newsroom set in 2010. I swear to God JD is giving Sorkin some trolltastic script notes with the sole purpose of trying to get my head to explode. Come to think off it I've never seen JD and Sorkin together, hmmmmm. Good episode though, my hate is down to a 5. Good lurking by "Tom Walker" (from Homeland) in this episode. If Winters (from Band of Brothers) shows up as a Senator on the show within the show, Jane Fonda's oldest-joke-in-the-world-telling-ass (C'mon Sorkin!!) is getting assassinated. Bank it.

Is there a Reality Show Emmy award? They should have a Special Emmy for Reality Lifetime Achievement and name it after him. Maybe put a tiny ascot on the trophy too? Today is my father's 50th birthday. Just called him, and it was as awkward all our conversations. Yes, I do consider the fact my parents had me so young as evidence I was an accident.

Fireworks Friday! Summer Pops is presenting the Temptations. I wonder how much I'll be able to hear from the barge. (Well, absolutely none of the last show when the fireworks are going off)

I deal with parking equipment similar to that gif. (Not sure from the distance which specific equipment.)

It's difficult to tell completely, but it looks like, with the gate already up, and the car driving off, she's gotten herself an extra ticket as the car was still on the loop. (cheater) Probably so she can leave with a current ticket, and no charge. Then she gets smacked by the gate. Serves her right.
