fine ............ a joke cool

A wife comes home after a shopping trip, and she's horrified to see her husband in bed with a young woman.

She's about to storm out of the house, and the husband says "But I can explain, dear. As I was driving home I saw this poor and tired-looking creature standing by the road, so I offered her a ride. She said she was hungry, so I brought her to our home and fed her some of your leftover pot roast. Her shoes were completely worn out, so I gave her a pair of yours that you don't wear because they're out of style. She was cold, so I gave her your new birthday sweater you never wear because you say the color doesn't suit you. Her slacks were tattered, so I gave her a pair of yours that don't fit you anymore.

Then, just as she was about to leave our house, she stopped and asked me, 'Is there anything else your wife no longer uses?'

(no one said anything about a great joke)

I watched "Mermaids The Body Found"  last night, it was very well put together & if not for the fake video of the kids on the beach that they took with their cell, I might've been inclined to believe most of the story.  So I'm only 2% convinced there are mermaids out there....but hey ya knew know.

Wow, I'm in the top 5 today!  I'm quite impressed with myself.  I have the day off thanks to working the weekend.  I keep hearing the Bucs are interested in Justin Upton, but I do NOT want him if it means giving up arguably our best prospect.  They say they want a major league-ready starter, SS, or 3B for him out in AZ?  Good, I'll give you Kevin Correia.  I'd much rather bring up our star prospect Marter and try to land Matt Garza, who I think they could get from the Cubs for a lot less than the D-Backs want for Upton.  I need to go get my hair chopped off on my day off.  I also need to go pay my cell phone bill.  I got a lot of crap to do today, and I'm going to enjoy not having to be at work on a Monday!

BK over and out

I watched most of it too, but came away 100% sure there are none, nor has there ever been any. That Mermaid thing should have taken the speculative anthropology theory, better fake found footage and cut out the re-enactments and turned it into a really good mocumentary. Also the actors portraying "real" scientist cannot be more attractive than the actors, portraying those actors in re-enactments. Give us less detail on the Gov't conspiracy and voila! Apart from literally LOL'ing every 10 minutes at "the facts," it was pretty enjoyable. Cudos to Animal Planet/Discovery for trolling the world. So well in fact that that the National Ocean Service had to realease a statement on the subject after being innundated with inquiries, lol. 2 thumbs up, well played.

Mornin, been up since 5 a.m.   Took the kidlet to Ft Lauderdale to catch her plane.   Couldn't get the car out of

Last time I checked, Still a kid.  Ugh again.

Breaking Bad season premiere last night was intense as normal.  Theories abound for what " I forgive you"  meant.
Found a nice drinking game for the show on Fansided.   I didn't play it last night because of the early morning we
were in for.  I think I will try it next week.   With beer.  Liquor would likely kill me.  Best show on television IMHO.

Those "spears" are what killed the Crocodile Hunter. Why wasn't included in the show? "OMG!!! He discovered mermaids and paid the ultimate price for science." They should have really explored the studio space with this subject. Hopefully, they will 'up their game' for the pseudo-scientific, documentary on the Kracken. I'm excited!

Morning all! Work at the golf course yesterday was tons of fun.  Had a tourney with the International dealership people, many of whom I know.  What an awesome group!  Tips were decent and we sat by the fire afterwards,  waiting for the Northern Lights which never appeared.

Off to play golf today ;)

4 hockey games and a baseball game in 98 degree weather this weekend, and I feel like I've been hit by a truck.  But we DID win the tournament.  Now of course is the end of summer tournament bonanza, and we have tournaments the next two weekends as well.. Lovely

Elvis Dumervil is a fu**ing idiot

The Rockies did their part this weekend, losing 2 of 3 to the Phils and keeping their pace to that 100 loss season.

It's Open Championship week, the best reason to get up in the middle of the night to watch golf.

Hola amigos y amigas.

Had a great weekend. Went out on Saturday with my friends, drank way too much. I was drinking these drinks called the Dark Side. Then people were buying me shots, 3 shots of tequila, 2 jager bombs and 2 blow jobs. It was a fun night and the best part was that there was no drama!
I didn't sleep well last night. So I am super tired today, I think a nap at lunch sounds good!!
Hope everyone has a wonderfully amazing day...

We knew he would and we all even kinda knew the number it would be at. There wasn't ever any doubt, we just couldn't figure out why Mngt. went this route? Hell, no one could. Personally the best conspiracy theory was that the Saints were waiting for the other shoe to drop on bounty gate and involve more starters/ key players, forcing them to possibly have to over pay FA's to get game ready players, blah, blah, blah... but really who's on the market? Didn't hold water. Maybe a contingency-trade was in the works (see: middle linebacker position) that would have messed up the cap even more? That made more sense, but still. Who knows? I think it was semi-personal going back to the lock out law suit deal.

Morning, Everybodee!

Nice peaceful weekend.    Fireworks for the Summer Pops, featuring the Temptations.  That was a late show.   Normally the fireworks shoot anywhere between 9:30 and 9:45.   (I think there is an agreement that they will not start after 10:00 P.M.  It's ok if they go past 10, as long as they start before 10.)   I don't know what time it was, but they were still singing after 10.

I saw this on another site...

Clerk: “Would you like to make a donation to help support children are sent back to school without supplies?”

Customer: “Oh, fine.”

Clerk: “Okay, you can make a donation in any amount that you like, or you can donate a back to school kit, which has 9 essential school supplies in it. The kits are 5 bucks.”

Customer: “Fine, I’ll donate a kit.”

Clerk: “Great, thanks for your contribution!”

Customer: “How long is this going to be going on for? Because this is my third time coming into the store, and I get asked every time to donate! I’m going to run out of money!”

Clerk: “It’s going on ’til September, but you know, you’re allowed to say now when we ask you.”

Customer: “No I’m not!”

Where can I find people like this, who would donate for a certain marching band I know?

My mama is now officially breaking the law.  I love it when a certified right wing, get these illegal a$$holes out of our country, Jesus rules old ladies go rogue.  She seriously does not believe it is against the law to use my dad's EXPIRED handicapped tag for her car.  Last night, she couldn't find her car and I actually thought the 5-0 had towed her ass.  I wish they would've.  That's what she'd get.

Afternoon everyone!

Went to wife's family reunion in PA on Saturday, and was VERY disappointed that she had no relative named "Jethro" from the hills of PA.  I did get stoked, though, because a beer distributor there in Allentown does sell Iron City Beer (cheers, Kramer!).  It used to ONLY be available in and around the 'Burgh, but now that it's only 95 miles away, I'll stock up next time I'm up there.

Training camps open soon!!!  Can't wait for football!!!

Thought for today:"The bicycle couldn't stand up because it was too tired".....

Hi.

My bd weekend was great! I did a lot.............ONe of which was set up an appointment with House of Ink in Venice Beach to get my tattoo----------> 2:00 on Sunday. I've gone back and forth on what I'm going to get and I'm sure I'll continue doing so until Sunday.....but I do know it's not going on my foot. It will go on my ankle ........probably inner ankle.......I want to see it when I sit "Crisscross Applesauce." I know I want the crown logo.....just not sure on the design. Help. Here's some I've cut and pasted onto paint to help me decide. (Oh...and that viney stuff isn't going to happen....lol...I don't like it)

**I'm leaning towards the one bottom left corner with the 2012 written....like the middle tatt, but this may change.

Last week of work before my vacation. Luckily so far it's been pretty quiet.

I wish I had known before 20 minutes ago that both US basketball teams were playing tonight at Verizon Center. If I had known that, I might have went ahead and tried to get tickets. Instead I'm here. Oh well.

The Olympics polls are complete and can be found here. Some of them will have to be edited though, as reading SI.com previews of events have showed me I missed some top contenders in some events. Every sport has a poll except Synchronized Swimming, Equestrian, and Sailing. If you want one for those, you are on your own.

Justin Upton is 24 years old and last year was considered a potential superstar. Even if Arizona no longer thinks that (and they have to if they're even considering trading him), they're not just going to give him away. If a team doesn't want to give up a top prospect (and probably more than that), they might as well not bother dialing the phone.

Finally, because I saw this article, and it reminded me of a fight I was in last month around here, I must share it. Note that the people working while on food stamps (which Congress is champing at the bit to cut severely) has been steadily increasing the last 20 years. Just saying.

Two school's of thought here - a full back, Marcel Dionne riding a fire breathing unicorn with the Cup in one hand fighting off Nazi-zombie-velociraptors with Captain America's shield in the other - OR - the Kings' crown logo on the ankle.

Quick side question: Where did Kat von D (High Voltage) rank in your search or narrowing down process for an LA tattoo spot? Top 3? Top 5? Also ran? Bad blood between you and her over a member of Skid Row? (<----sources close to Teach tell us) This story is going to lead the QMZ weekend edition, just doing some background stuff for Janet's V/O.

lol The owner of House of Ink is a huge Kings fan...with a great reputation-------------in fact he's doing a free Kings tatt (simple Stanley Cup with date and Kings on it) for anyone who wants one and sweet deals on any other Kings tatts. I've seen the pics he's posted on FB and they are pretty badass. (Been trolling him for a month because I have trust issues and it's my first time. Shut up!) If I didn't get an appointment with this guy, I would have traveled south to my cousin's shop in San Diego to get it done.

I didn't even consider Kat von D. lol

Nobody would argue that!!

Probably the one in the middle. Were you going to add Stanley Cup Champions to it? yuo could arch the Stanley Cup over the 2012 and hockey sticks and put Champions under the crown.

Not that I am into inking myself, but now I'm curious.  What shop in San Diego?

Also, I like the detail on the upper left (without the vines, or what ever they are)  But I prefer the 2012 like the middle.

And instead of the vines, I'm thinking more of the crown sitting on something like the Iron Throne out of Game of Thrones.

fine ............

Now he was giving something to that young woman which was never used by his wife.
