I'm not a fan of hot dogs, but I do like Costco's polish sausages, with some sauerkraut and a little paper cup of mustard to dip it in.

I won't get a hot dog unless I see this sign in the window:

That said, I get them at Arnie's, Skyway Doghouse, Sox Park, Weiner's Circle...Pretty much anywhere in Chicago.
I usually get it with just mustard.

oh f**k, i love hot dogs.

i don't want anything natural on mine. fake chilli and fake cheese is the best. although sonic has opened my mind up to just putting a whole frito pie on top.

My cousin posted a picture from Hot Doug's on his lunch break.  I'm going to give him a charlie horse next time I see him for making me jealous.  I had just eaten a sammich from a deli and it didn't hit the spot.  I about kicked my own a*s.

I attended my first Sonic in Nags Head last week and to rave reviews, good but expensive anyways, we have a "Hot Dog Shoppe" locally and I always go with stadium mustard on mine

I buy Hebrew National quarter pounders and cook em myself. I load em up with diced onions and Guldens Spicy mustard. They're YUMMY!!!

Cook my own on the barby on my homemade hotdog holders..These work on the stove too but it`s a good idea to have a fire extinguisher close by. Toast the buns too and I add relish, ketchup or mustard but not both and cheese and yumyum pickles.smiley

Ballpark dogs are the best, just something about eating a dog at the ballpark seems to make it better. Every year our minor league team will ship in dogs from different ballparks for the week and so far as much as this pains me, the Dodger dog  is leading the way, of course if haven't been in a couple of years now so i may have missed out on something better.

As far as the ones I make at home,  i try different sh*t. Mac and cheese or cole slaw or waht ever is available at the time outside of the normal  stuff. my fav right now has been sweet and sour sauce on the dog then covered with frosted flakes. good sh*t george.

my initial reaction is "yuck." but deep down i believe you that it's good. how the heck did you come up with that?

I go to this small hamburger/hot dog place in East L.A. called Chronies (we call it Johnnies). All I get is a chili dog... it's just bun, dog, mustard and chili. Been getting that for the past 30+ years. and the dog is good, it snaps when you bite it! My parents and Uncle would go there when they were young. Same reciepe since it opened back in the 50's! GREAT, I WANT ONE NOW!!

I add the sweet and sauce to Kraft BBQ sauce to give it a little lift and there was a little sweet and sour left over so i said WTF and poured it on the dog then looked around and inspiration hit......frosted flakes instead of chips. I figured hell i put chips on my sammich, its the same difference.
