Hola amigos y amigas

I'm back, well I wasn't gone just had a stressful week last week and wasn't online much. Did ya even notice? probably not...

It's hot here I love it. Had a busy weekend. My oldest daughter had her baby shower and in a couple of weeks the middle one is having her bridal shower. I can't wait for the year to be over.

They are gonna start construction at work soon. They are putting in a fancy ATM vestibule, so that when they close the branch people can still deposit and get money. As soon as that is done I will be on unemployment and looking for another job. Yay Life!!

Hope all of you are doing great....enjoy your wonderful day...and this....

Morning, rain is the word of the day.

My fishing poll is sitting on the ocean floor in 160 feet of water.  The one that got away.  Ugh.
The one that didn't sure tasted delicious.   I blame it on the suntan lotion.

Breaking Bad is insane.  I think it is going to end like Scarface.  Time will tell.

Watching the Mars landing this a.m., the reaction from the folks in Times Square floored me.
Really?  The pictures are in black and white?  Uh, you do realize Mars is 154 Million miles away?
What?  No broadband?   When I was a kid, Martian was the default word for aliens.  Idiots.

a 2 for 2 weekend. teaching Molly to pound her tray and now she has replaced calling my son  "da da" with a much simpler and catchier word.  "dude"  dragged out  to sound like "Dooooooood" what a perfect little student she is.  heart

I do not like the sound of Mayock saying "Joe Vitt's Saints" That has an 8 & 8 vibe to it. Vilma got his suspension reduced to 8 games? Or had an offered extended as part of a settlement? Eff that I would keep the legal process going if I thought I was completely in the right. Otherwise take it. I'm still excited for football though.

Every article of clothing, save what we're wearing, washed, dried, and ready to be packed: Check
Movers making noise, touching my things, and stressing me out: Check, Check, and re-check.

We'll be on the road Wednesday morning! We changed plans and won't be going through DC but we still hope to hit Canton. We have 15 days to get across the country with no real set route (as you can see, we've had several different plans while getting ready for this trip, and they've all either fallen through or we've nixed them. See why I would rather just be spontaneous from the beginning?)...let's see what kind of mischief we can get into.

Lucky 8!

Morning Q'ers!  Hope everyone had a good weekend.  I spent Saturday at Monmouth Park.  Missed the first race due to traffic, but managed to bet the last 10.  I bet to have an interest, NOT to make a lot of money.  I will pick a horse and bet him across the board.  I wound up finishing in the money on 9 out of the 10 races!  I won about $45 for the day....but my wife lost $60.  She couldn't pick a winner...unless you count the horse coming in LAST as the winner.  She did pick about 4 of those...We did see a horse come out of the gate and veer left almost immediately, throwing the jockey.  The jockey was alright, and the horse continued around the track, finishing last. All in all it was a good time.

Hot here again in NJ.  Severe thunderstorms rolled through last night, but didn't really quell the humidity.  Got up at 4 am to take the seeing eye puppy out to allow him to do his business, and it was pouring!  I got wet (even with the umbrella) and the puppy didn't do his business.  Rain slowed down 15 minutes later, and he was fine. I think he's finally getting this housebreaking thing.

No thought for today, but a joke...
Guy playing golf at a public course, finishes round, returns rented clubs and boards a city bus with a pocket full of about 6 golf balls.  Sits down next to (what else) a blonde, who eyes his pocket.  She keeps staring at him, and after a few minutes the golfer says, "I have golf balls"; the blonde replies "Does that hurt worse than tennis elbow?"

Have a GREAT Monday!

i've watched a ton of olympics so far this year. lots of cool s**t has happened. i have a feeling evan jager's intro for steeplechase will be the most memorable for me of all the 2012 games:

i have a video of this if any of you know how to make gif's. i want it.

my weekend was fun! i painted my nails twice, my bathroom once and stepped in cat puke barefoot once. other stuff happened too, but y'all are too young.

The news about the Rover on my home planet is pretty cool!  Looking forward to seeing what they find on MARS (maybe THAT'S where all the ZIMA went to?).

Had a GREAT time Friday afternoon at Wrigley.  It was my kid's Birthday and it was also Family Day for Season Ticket holders.

Took in some pool time on Saturday and I'm closer and closer to passing for a brotha-man! cool

Had a 16 inch Softball tourney yesterday.  We won the first game 10-7 (GW 3 run shot in the bottom of the 6th by yours truly smiley) but we lost the 2nd game in the top of the 7th (4-3). So, the day ended early.

Hope you all had a great weekend!

Peace!

Random Thoughts...

1.  Went to a hibachi grill last night...f**king guy was dripping sweat all over the grill as the food was cooking.  I ate that sh** anyway.

2.  Newsroom sparked interesting thoughts last night....
     a.  Should i really remember where i was the night Bin Laden was killed?
     b.  Even though what he did was atrocious...am i the only one that feels its inherently wrong to openly cheer and fist pump for
          someone's death?
     c.  Emily Mortimer is slowly moving up my list.  I think im a sucker for accents.

3.  Two Hearted Ale is sitting in my fridge mocking me with its deliciousness.  Just out of curiosity...what does the fish on the packaging have to do with anything?

4.  Mini Review by the Movie Snob: Casa De Mi Padre....meh.  Name the top five Will Ferrell movies and this wont replace any of those.   Gael Garcia Bernal made the movie.   The goofs were spectacular too.

5.  Mini Review by the Movie Snob: Underworld:Awakening....Do not watch.  Ever.  Even if JD's wife was naked the whole movie i still would never recommend this movie. Speaking of Kate...COME the F**K ON!  Do a nude scene for f**k's sake.  Jesus Christ...you're on every dude's top ten...throw us a bone...side boob...ass shot...something.

Good morning, and welcome back to work
It was weird having a hockey-free weekend, but we had two baseball games, and we are firing on all cylinders at the plate with only a few weeks left until the start of playoffs as we won 24-6 and 19-4 this weekend yes

41,000 showed up at Sports Authority field for the Broncos scrimmage on Saturday night.  It's safe to say people are a lot more excited around here than they've been since the super bowl days.  Tim who?

I found a picture that pretty much encapsulates the Olympic spirit

And I think it's time for some Olympic week 1 awards and thoughts
Best story of the games? - Oscar Pistorius (double amputee, humble guy, fantastic story)
Greatest Olympian of all time? - Michael Phelps (I hate the most decorated vs greatest.. It's kind of one in the same)
The is he a douchebag or just stu-stu-stupid award goes to? -  Ryan Lochte (as personable as hepatitis A)
How fun is it to watch Usain Bolt run?
10-1 odds McKayla Maroney's straight to video "films" over the next decade will make her the most successful of this years version of the "fab-five"
Gymnasts falling? Always funny
Any track events over 400M are unwatchable.  The field events? always good
Surprisingly biggest who cares event of the Olympics? Besides the women's 10M Air Pistol.. Basketball.. I have not heard one person talk either about watching the games or being excited about the prospect of watching a game.  Weird
I wish the horses would stage a mutiny during the dressage competition
Best criers of the games so far? Russian Women's gymnastic team.. And any male gymnast

There's more I'm missing I'm sure, but now I'm distracted.. Until later

The Bucs managed to avoid a sweep in Cincy yesterday behind A.J. Burnett's 14th win, now 14-3 on the year, thanks for giving up on him Yankees fans!

Yesterday's NASCAR race at Pocono was rain-shortened after just 98 of the scheduled 160 laps.  This morning I found out after the race was called, a lightning strike hit just outside the stands.  9 people were injured, 2 critically.  One person was killed by the strike.  My heart goes out to the family and friends of the one who was fatally injured.sad

You have NO idea how much I enjoyed you're forensic profiling of that pic. CSI: PS-138 needs to happen. Hall monitors should have yellow tape with the schools name on it for when a little kid gets a nose bleed and they call you in to see if there's any foul play.

The only packages (hahaha - I said "packages") that I know is : NFL SUNDAY TICKET (DIRECTV & COMCAST) which airs every single game, each week for the entire season.

I don't think any cable or sat provider allows you to pay for only certain games that you would like to watch. You would get all games and you choose what to watch or flip back and forth or buy a ton of TV's and watch them all at once.  HA!

I fell asleep at 9 PM last night. Didn't doze off, didn't pass out, FELL THE FRUCK asleep...woke up at 4:30 am and realized there is not much to do at that hour, except wake your kids up who, btw,  think that i have lost my mind (insert evil laugh here) that's what naps were invented for right?  They stayed up with me for like 30 mins and went back to bed....I read. I am enjoying Naked and Lust Lizard and I also picked up Lincoln vampire fighter (for a guilty pleasure), it was not much of a weekend since the race was rained out, on the bright side, Football this week, hopefully I will get to see Griffin and if the Skins finally made the right choices...have a great one all and don't forget to floss.

So Denver PD found my service van that was stolen late Thursday night (and by found I mean responded to someone calling it in).  And where was it? Exactly where I thought it would end up, just a few blocks from the area I canvased last night where it didn't help talking to the locals because my Spanish is awful.. At least they only took the valuable tools and material inside too.. Ugh

Konichiwa B!tches,

I'm back from about a week and a half off, suprisingly, pretty much everything is where I left it.  Olympics are already boring me to death and Track and Field just barely started.  There's a reason we don't watch gymnastics, swimming and diving but every 4 years and it's because they are boring as $h!t!!  PLEASE SAVE ME NFL!!!

I don't know what branch Jess' husband is in, but my little bro just transfered to Whidby Island, WA.... that area is gorgeous!!  I can't wait to go back up and see the sights!!  Although, he now has to pay full price for Jameson's ($38, it was $22 at Great Lakes, IL).

I just heard that the Commish' is willing to drop Vilma's suspension to 8 games if he drops the Defamation of Character lawsuit.  Sounds like he (Vilma) has a case and I for one hope he runs with it, F#CK ROGER GOODELL!!!

I got a mini movie review of my own: Dark Knight Rises... not as good as The Dark Knight, was a little long and I've never liked Bane as a primary villan.

That's all for now.  Stay Classy

HEY......I said I was ok with their shared pea sized brain. It's very rare to have it all.

And I think Ryan Lochte's personality is "bubbly" as well. (not really......I would be ok with him on permanent mute) As for Kate--------she ....I just can't. I can't figure out if she is really that "bubbly" or it's all for show......she makes me uncomfortable when she's placed in a situation when she has to talk. I silently root for her though.

I was thinking along the lines of an entertaining version of Rizzoli and Isles and you as Ron Swanson channeling Lieutenant Einhorn as police Chief Ferragamo Le Coq (A rough around the edges chief from the mean streets of Quebec who got his start working as a stripper for those hardcore bachelorette parties, earning a lot of money and getting hooked on the designer footwear of Salvatore Ferragamo and cocaine cut with Meth.  It wasn't long before he was down and out and needed the help of longtime friend John DoubleRainbow, native american, drug counselor, convicted sex offender.  It was then that he was able to get his life back on track, go through Police Academy where with the aid of some of his fellow recruits including Samantha from Sex and the City and Bubba Smith and that Jewish guy help stop a major crime wave sweeping the city and put him on the fast track for a successful police career)

I can't figure out if she is really that "bubbly" or it's all for show......she makes me uncomfortable when she's placed in a situation when she has to talk. I silently root for her though.

I don't know what footage you're watching.  Every time I see the guy interviewed it's like he's about to tell the detectives on the dolly  where Ol' handsy Uncle Elroy touched him, or he's thinking about how it would feel to wear Andrea Kramer's face as a mask.. Would ya?

You have NO idea how much I enjoyed you're forensic profiling of that pic. CSI: PS-138 needs to happen. Hall monitors should have yellow tape with the schools name on it for when a little kid gets a nose bleed and they call you in to see if there's any foul play.
I was immediately wondering if she said it was probably a little girl BECAUSE of the lack of period.  Then I realized it probably was not the case.  Then giggled anyway.

Good day bitches.

So my softball game yesterday was shaping up to be awesome.  We were winning quite handily, I made a couple good plays in the field, had an RBI double in the first inning, and my second at bat came along and went even better.  A no-doubt-about-it homerun.  Yesssssssss!
Only it won't count because as I was rounding the bases for said homerun, the other team's second baseman collapsed on the field from what we later learned was heat exhaustion/dehydration.  indecision  She had to be carted off by an ambulance and the rest of the game was nixed.
I know it's insensitive but ... bitch.  Stole my thunder.  And since we hadn't played enough for an official game, this game will be replayed at a later date ... from scratch.  Double bitch.

PS - I wonder if anyone is getting LESS ass in the Olympic Village than the badminton players.  Despite the scandal ... I don't think they were getting any, regardless.

PPS - Miss you guys!  Except Rogs ... that guy's a d**k.

OK, now that I've gotten some things done, some other stuff.

First, we landed on friggin' Mars this morning. How awesome is that? My only regret was it was too late for me to stay up and watch.

As you heard from her today, Jess is not coming to DC. She likely realized that she might me here, and that would be a terrible, terrible idea.

Remember my rant after the Aurora shooting? That basically encompasses my thought on the latest mass shooting.

Remember the latest top 5 celebrities you'd bang thread? Add Hope Solo to my list. I can't believe I forgot her initially. I love iconoclastic athletes (and well, the obvious when it comes to Ms. Solo).

Finally, here's tonight's Olympic recap.
