Welcome back. This is the part of the locker room where you can sit and chat and chill for a while without offending or being shushed. Maybe you wanna watch a dvd or listen to your mp3. Yes, I rhymed. Something on your mind, post it! Random question, ask it? Hijacking is allowed and encouraged. Join the party, troll around, have a beer. It's cool. All are welcome, but please leave all BS in the hall.

What happened to Carl Thomas? I loved that Emotional album.
What happened to Jo from the Facts of Life?
What happened to Surge? I miss it.

Hi. Enjoy the weekend! And in case you didn't know it, Woody is one funny mf'n black man.

HAPPY Friziday,

I guess they're making another Friday - Last Friday - but Cube is having a tough time convincing Chris "I recently found God" Tucker to play the role of Smokey.  Come on, Smoke Dogg....ruff ruff.

So my coworkers got me a nice little gift for my office wall at a Bears function last week.  Aren't they just the best?  ME LIKEY!

Fell asleep while watching Snatch last night at like 8:15.  That means I slept for close to 10 hours.  This honky is rested the hell up for my Wisconsin weekend.  Hopefully the temp rises a bit.  Supposed to be a tad bit nipply.

Am i the only person that didn't know Flo Rida is from Florida?  His name spells Florida when you put "Flo" and "Rida" together.  That sh*t cray!

I Swear by All 4 One
I swear by the moon and the stars in the skies
And I swear like the shadow that's by your side

I see the questions in your eyes
I know what's weighing on your mind
You can be sure I know my part
'Cause I'll stand beside you through the years
You'll only cry those happy tears
And though I make mistakes I'll never break your heart

[Chorus]
And I swear by the moon and the stars in the skies
I'll be there
I swear like a shadow that's by your side
I'll be there
For better or worse till death do us part
I'll love you with every beat of my heart
And I swear

I'll give you everything I can
I'll build your dreams with these two hands
We'll hang some memories on the walls
And when
(And when)
Just the two of us are there
You won't have to ask if I still care
'Cause as the time turns the page
My love won't age at all

And I swear

The weekend is HERE!!!  Go and get your Freak on!  Anyone (females) giving our lap dances today?? cheeky  PERVERT!

Although, mine would end up more like this

Wasted Talent  - our CO-ED softball team, won our 5th consecutive championship last night, 8-1.  We have now won 56 games in a row, which included Summer and Fall and playoff games for the past 2.5 years!  Woot!  Fall Ball starts next Thursday!

311 and Slightly Stoopid are playing tonight in Chicago.

If you like Alternative Rock and if you like Reggae, you would dig both 311 and Slightly Stoopid!

Yours truly will be at that show tonight and will most likely be "slightly stoopid".   cool

A first-grade teacher, Ms Brooks, was having trouble with one of her students. The teacher asked, 'Harry, what's your problem?'

Harry answered, 'I'm too smart for the 1st grade. My sister is in the 3rd grade and I'm smarter than she is! I think I should be in the 3rd grade too!'

Ms. Brooks had had enough. She took Harry to the principal's office.

While Harry waited in the outer office, the teacher explained to the principal what the situation was. The principal told Ms. Brooks he would give the boy a test. If he failed to answer any of his questions he was to go back to the 1st grade and behave. She agreed.

Harry was brought in and the conditions were explained to him and he agreed to take the test.

Principal:
'What is 3 x 3?'

Harry:
'9.'

Principal:
'What is 6 x 6?'

Harry:
'36.'

And so it went with every question the principal thought a 3rd grader should know.

The principal looks at Ms. Brooks and tells her, 'I think Harry can go to the 3rd grade'

Ms. Brooks says to the principal, 'Let me ask him some questions..'

The principal and Harry both agreed.

Ms. Brooks asks, 'What does a cow have four of that I have only two of?'

Harry, after a moment: 'Legs.'

Ms. Brooks: 'What is in your pants that you have but I do not have?'

The principal wondered why would she ask such a question!

Harry replied: 'Pockets.'

Ms. Brooks: 'What does a dog do that a man steps into?'

Harry: 'Pants.'

The principal sat forward with his mouth hanging open.

Ms. Brooks: 'What goes in hard and pink then comes out soft and sticky?'

The principal's eyes opened really wide and before he could stop the answer, Harry replied, 'Bubble gum.'

Ms. Brooks: 'What does a man do standing up, a woman does sitting down and a dog does on three legs?'

Harry: 'Shake hands .'

The principal was trembling.

Ms. Brooks: 'What word starts with an 'F' and ends in 'K' that means a lot of heat and excitement?'

Harry:
'Firetruck.'

The principal breathed a sigh of relief and told the
teacher, 'Put Harry in the fifth-grade, I got the last seven questions wrong.

Ugh yes. As soon as we hit the border, there they were. We went on our way down to Key West, just to say we'd gone. It is so lame. But it's South Dakota - they have to take whatever claim to fame they can (although I kinda dig the Sioux museums and stuff throughout the state, myself).

Whidbey Island is so beautiful. We're moving just west of Port Angeles, so it's a pretty area like that but it's out in the sticks. Bigfoot country, anyway.

And already sick of the Wall Drug billboards. Though the are kind of funny sometimes.

BTW - Minnesota sucks. I realize we didn't get up in the cities - we crossed over via I-90 where there is pretty much not a thing...no truck stops, no rest areas, no travel plazas, not a friggin thing. I wasn't even able to get a souvenir magnet - only state I wasn't able to get. Now that little challenge is over, because we've been everywhere else that we're going. Boo.

So, Mr. Preezy Breezy.  How many more soldiers dying at the hands of our "allies" in the Afghani police forces is it gonna take before you tell Moobarky Whatshisf**kingname to stick a kalachi up his sphinctal nether-region and bring our boys home?  F**k them mother-f**king f**kity f**ks!

Ladies, have you seen the new topless pics of Mr. P-90X, and the next Vice Preezy of the United States, Paul Ryan?  Thats one sexy sumb*tch.

Boo.
i have it on good authority that even God hates Minnesota

I posed this question on Twitter last night because I truly don't get it. What is the appeal of preseason football? The games mean nothing and it shows in the quality. We can not be this beholden to the NFL, can we? If so, it would explain why the league acts the way it does. It has us over a barrel with our ravenous appetite and it knows it.

On the same subject but completely different vein, I need a fantasy football league to join this year.

One of my hobby horses is how generations perceive each other, particularly how older ones perceive my generation and younger. My theory remains that every generation thinks the same negative traits about all the generations that come after it. Well, today came this article from the Washington Post regarding "Millennials" (which I'm apparently part of). On one hand, it says that this generation won't take Corporate America's BS and might improve conditions. On the other hand, it's generalizing us all as lazy and spoiled, which I'm sure is an opinion shared by the majority of our over 40 set. Maybe because I'm in the early part of this generation, and the self-esteem stuff was only just beginning (and in my case, didn't take), but this is not behavior I've witnessed.

These are the things I think about on Friday afternoon. It was a philosophical kind of day.

I cannot fathom how anyone could PQ such a profoundly f**king intelligent statement like that.

Anyhow, did you know that ping pong balls are made entirely out of flammable materials?  Thats right...everything burns, leaving nada behind.

Just a bit of useful information for beginning arsonists.

I swear to GAWD, the Post/Times/Herald (whoever?) ran the exact same article re: Gen X with all the same crap in it back in my day. I'm sure there's a verbatim article (on microfilm somewhere) on Baby Boomers too. It's such a lazy, redundant, pandering Op piece to write.

Speaking of baby boomers, the old lady who calls us afro-americans was driving everyone crazy talking about getting bloodwork for Hep C testing. something she saw on the news last night...worried the sh** out of her dr's office...then decided that she needed a shingles vaccine as well... we could not stop laughing. She hates when we call her old. she did get the test, but the shingles vaccine is $250 so she is just gonna risk it. lol

Thank you for providing another data point (sort of, but this all based on anecdotal evidence anyway) on my theory that the complaints between generations are always the same. The only differences are the technology involved.

Anecdotal maybe, but we wrote Op Ed pieces (basically your current point of view, our Gen X at he time) as an exercise in J School in response to a piece in a major newspaper. Our Prof. wrote one directed at "the greatest generation" when he was in college during the '60's. lol, he thought it was a good way to teach us ('65-'81 ish) how to retort and create editorially.

I can't speak for everyone, but in my case - first off, we've gone too long between the end of the season and the beginning of the next. Yes it's like an addiction but who cares? We could be addicted to worse things.

Mainly though, I just love the sport. I don't really care if the games don't mean anything or the starters don't play the full game. I just love the game so much, I enjoy watching football so much that I'll watch anybody at any time.
