Well, it's the end of the week, and I finally have an opportunity to post in the morning in here..
There were several things I wanted to touch on throughout the week, but I forgot to write them down, so let's see what I can remember..
*Rockies have won 5 in a row.. what?
*I've watched several movies lately, I was gonna do an article about it, but that takes time and effort, so I will condense my thoughts now
         *Bernie - Jack Blacks best performance
         *The Hunger Games - I never thought I would say a 2 and a half hour movie seemed rushed
         *The Dictator - Hilarious at times, totally worth a watch
         *Watched Bad Boys a few nights back, Tea Leoni was completely underutilized during her prime
         *No Way Out is a great movie that does not get the love it deserves
         *The Sitter was surprisingly enjoyable.. I miss fat Jonah Hill in movies (but from what I've seen, he's making a       comeback)
         *The Marinovich Project, which didn't make the ESPN 30 for 30 cut, is a fantastic documentary
         *I absolutely hate the Netflix Post-Play feature at the end of shows and movies
*I'm kind of surprised someone would go through the trouble of injecting Bartolo Colon's Krispy Kreme's with testosterone
*Signs are pointing to an NHL lockout.. ugh
*The Bourne Legacy was enjoyable.. But RAchel Weisz is the living version of two-face from Seinfeld lore

1. Today will be day 8 in a row at work, but it will be worth it. Because football starts in a week and I will have Saturdays and Sundays off.

2. Almost took in a lost dog today, but unfortunatly no one will be home to see how the lost dog would get along with my roommates dog. The dog looked healthy and was very friendly, if it is still around tomorrow or Sunday, I will have a new dog. At least until I find it's owner.

Quick Jen Foxy Four update: (don't think I'm not still on this and sucking other people into the vortex of nonsense)
I did a quick "coaches' poll" -  or Jen's I know. Apparently every other girl HS in the 80's was named Jen. A nice cross sections of Jens too. (2 ethnic, 2 white, 1 other, lol)

Aniston is like Duke. A no doubt about it #1 seed.
Jenny Garth got 2 90210 era  #1 votes. hmmmm
The big surprise for me from my coaches poll, Jennifer Jason Leigh at her peak got 3 #1's. (may be a generational thing going on?)
Also weird was that they hate, HATE! Jenny McCarthy. Bubble team for a sweet 16 of Jens. I did not see that coming.

Still working on a bracket (has to be online imo), more news as it becomes available.

I'm annoyed about the stripping of Lance's medals. Bull.

I've decided that there needs to be a show called The Blackest Kid We Know starring Black Mike. It'll work because everyone will be expecting some vanilla-ice ish and then see it's about someone who looks like he was a member of Young Republicans of America in high school.... and then it would proceed to be an great show.

Jen, if you didn't watch Major Closer, you should, you would love Provenza. He was so funny.

Sid, Imma buy you a watermelon.

P.S. Arian Foster in PJs in some football commercial...MNF (?). Thanks for that. :)

Nyce, "Tyler Perry Presents U Don't Know Me"! I almost hit someone reading that billboard and having a small giggle fit. Damn. Then I would've been able to use my new I was trying to read that billboard, Officer excuse...for realz.

We have to start a tublr image dump for all the eff-tastic, ginormous billboards in this town. CNN, TNT etc. really take it up a notch. Just wow! My fave was a few years ago of a full side building of Joe Johnson travelling during a lay up w/ The Highlight Factory! tagline. Sublime

IT'S F**KING FRIDAY, PEOPLE!!!  cool

CUBS-ROCKIES game this afternoon!  I have 2nd row seats, directly even with the pitchers mound in the Rockies bullpen!  Pics to follow on Monday, for you,  STONEY-PONY!

Double header tonight in softball.

Sunday will be my 1st Fantasy Football draft of the season.  I have the 2nd pick and will be taking a QB!  I'm pretty sure Rodgers will be taken 1st, so, my question is, Brady or Brees?!?!?   I don't really like Brady and I had Brees last year......I'm leaning towards Brees but the 2012 Projections have Brady ranked higher!  hmmmmmmm!

Brandon Lloyd is going the eff off this year. This Pats offense is better than the Moss SB team one or will be by week 3-4. I'd go Brady and I'm the biggest Brees truther on the planet.

Morning.

THis tweet bugs me (but I have no reply tweet for it....just bugs me)..........."Just because Lance Armstrong did a lot for charity doesn't exclude him from guilt. Sandusky did a lot of charity before he was found out."

I can't wait for The Walking Dead to come back on. I'll probably be disappointed but still I want it back. That Michonne character with her jawless zombie pets is pulling me in.

And Happy National WAffle Day! I had pancakes.

Konichiwa B!tches,

I'm stoked that Russel Wilson is starting tomorrow, now we'll get to see how good he really is.  If he plays as well against the 1st teamers as he has against the scrubs I'm liking the Seahawks chances at the playoffs this year!!

What happend to Jswol... he go on a Zima binge with Nick?!?

Word out of Ducks camp is that we'll have a True Freshman at QB, welcome to the fold Marcus Mariota, and that Arik Armstead is the truth.  Look out USC, Ducks D could be the class of the NCAA this year!!

Stoney, I love me some Tea Leoni.... couldn't agree with you more

Happy Tropical Storm whomever Friday.

Waiting on ATT to make the switch from the Evil Empire.   Tick tock.   They better be here in 5 minutes.
We had 11 automated calls to tell us when our appointment was.  Climb that poll in a thunderstorm.

It's raining and windy and the power has been off and on, more on so far.   That's a good thing.
Stocked up on the alcohol and water and....   Really, what else do I need?

per your movie reviews:

Yes, Tea Leoni was hot and sexy as hell and vastly underutilized when she first left tv to make movies (didn't like her much with Sandler in SPANGLISH--too bitchy).

No Way Out to me is a masterpiece, and most definitely Costner's best work outside of his 3 baseball movies (BULL DURHAM, FIELD OF DREAMS, FOR LOVE OF THE GAME).

Those are all I care to talk about.

Two doctors were in a hospital hallway one day complaining about Nurse Jenny. "She's incredibly dumb. She does everything absolutely backwards." said one doctor. "Just last week, I told her to give a patient 2 milligrams of Percocet every 10 hours. She gave him 10 milligrams every 2 hours. He nearly died on us!"

The second doctor said, "That's nothing. Earlier this week, I told her to give a patient an enema every 24 hours. She tried to give him 24 enemas in one hour! The guy nearly exploded!"

Suddenly, they hear this blood-curdling scream from down the hall. "Oh my God!" said the first doctor, "I just realized I told Nurse Jenny to prick Mr. Smith's boil!"

and lookup his stats from last year 29 TD's thrown to 16 INT's is not a 3 to 1 ratio hell it isn't even 2-1. then add in 1 rushing TD to 8 fumbles and do the math that is only 6 more TD's accounted for  than turnovers. I understand if you need to get a calculator, math is hard.

Take a look at where he was in yards, TD's Completions, Yds/Pass, and he'd still be a much better QB choice than Brady, IMHO.

Completions=Brady
Attempts=Brady
Comp % =Brady
Yards=Brady
Yard/comp=Brady
TD's=Brady
Int's=Brady
Fumbles=Brady

I even looked at their rushing stats and the only category Eli even comes close to Brady on is rushing fumbles and they tied that category at 2. So Brady is better in every statistical category than Eli.

Eli.

Watch the numbers he puts up this year if Wilson and the revamped Offensive line can get a running game going.

Let's break this down Law & Order style -

FE Constitution states:  "Hijacking is allowed and encouraged. Join the party, troll around, have a beer. It's cool. All are welcome, but please leave all BS in the hall."

Ladies and gentiles (HAt! for mild racist dig) of the jury, as you can clearly see the defendant has in fact joined the party, it is not hijacking per se and there is no evidence of provocation via troll. What the court needs to determine is whether or not "thread bombing" is considered BS to be kept in the proverbial hall? I think we may also need a Molineux ruling? It is clearly affecting the charges.

Is this what the framers meant by BS (kinda wide interpretation) or is it a blatant end run around the constitution*?

[smoking hot ADA - that I'm prolly tapping - hands me a note]

"Your honor I need a 24 hour recess!"

[cut to weird look on my face, then fade to commercial]

Again this is fantasy football, what quarter they do it in does not matter. It is what numbers they put up and Brady's numbers are better than Eli's every year! It is funny how people say that Eli's numbers last year were just about the best of his career and yet they are still mediocre numbers.

Yeah and just like Eli, Brady has a mediocre running game to support him too, yet he is still a better QB option than Eli.

if his numbers were mediocre, then every qb but 3 sucked last year.

And yet, all the numbers that matter is 2.

As in . True, Brady got 3 of them, but that was before Mangini came out and told the world the Belicheck is a cheater. Since then, 0-2 going for trophy, both losses to Eli and the G-Men.

How many does Brees have? Rodgers? Marino? Moon? Peyton?

Thank you, that's all the arguement I need.

I will type this slowly so even you can understand. This discussion is about fantasy football and number of Lombardi's won does nothing to help you win in fantasy football. One of those 3 QB's that you would be referring to would be Tom Brady(as I already pointed out he was better in every statistical category than Eli). According to ESPiN's ranking of QB's from last year Eli was 6th, so according to them there are 5 QB's that were better last year. Like I said in my original post, "No way in hell would I consider taking a QB that had 6 more TD's than turnovers last year!" Also what fantasy leagues are you  playing in, where people are still drafting Marino and Moon, or even Peyton(who was injured all of last year)? Are they still drafting Barry Sanders in this league? I want in that league, it should be the easiest league to win ever!

I don't think you're getting the whole fantasy football aspect of the conversation.. In fantasy, real world championships don't mean anything.  And I'm actually an Eli fan, but realize he's MAYBE a top 10 fantasy QB

Most rankings have him between 6th(ESPiN) and 9th. Like you said a Top 10 guy, but for me not enough of a game changer to run out and try to snatch up early. Those guys are Rodgers, Brady, and Brees, I would consider taking Peyton over Eli, but that would all depend on who else was left and how I looked at other positions. To me after you get past those Top 5 guys the next 8 are a wash all have good and bad points that will help and hurt you in fantasy football.

actually, I do get it. and still would take Eli over Brady. In fact, I have 24 fantasy teams, commissioner of 7, and have Eli on 18 of them. Even traded Brady to get Eli. Because of the scoring settings in the leagues I am in. That, with the fact i have Hicks AND Cruz on 16 of those teams with Eli, and I am looking good for scoring lots of points if Wilson, Bradshaw, and the offensive line can't do a better job than last year, and we were 32nd running the football.

His overall rank/ADP is 8 to 11 on the big boards. Hmmm, maybe be a 5th 6th round steal at that point.

Here are my top five according to my insider info. Of course you might want to keep in mind I am beginning to feel like the Marty Shottenhiemer in our league, oh so close the last two years, but still no trophy.

1. Rodgers
2. Brady
3. Brees

It was a busy day at work, I had to be a transporter again today for a few hours because we were short.  The supervisor I worked with this morning does not understand the rule of punching the time clock.  There is a 10-minute window, 5 minutes before and 5 minutes after.  She told 2 people who walked in at 8:04 "FYI your start time is 8:00.  There are a lot of jobs and I need you signed in." Then she had the nerve to write on the paper we use to keep track of transport phones "signed in 8:05."  You stupid b****, they're not late unless they punched that clock at 8:06, they're still technically on time!  I hope my boss sees that and actually said something to them.  I wish one of them would've said to her "I'm not late!"  I also discovered on Facebook when I got home that a man named Jerry Nelson passed away.  That name probably means nothing to you, it didn't to me...until I saw this picture.

Good Afternoon, Everybodee!

Been too busy at work, trying to gather all the paperwork for this darn public works job.  If it isn't done properly, by every contractor or sub, ain't nobody getting paid.   Last night, I was finishing up documents until about 7PM.  (2.5 hours OT)   And it still wasn't done. Ugh.

Fireworks tonight!  cheeky    Youngfool has been helping, and this is his last night.  Tomorrow I drop him off at train station before helping with tomorrow's show.   Someone posted about a minute of video taken from last week during show with Wilson Phillips.  You can see the stage, with the fireworks out on the bay, but their seating location didn't offer the best view of the fireworks.  But, still, it's a great venue otherwise.   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LryMnLkc6UY

Youngfool is heading back for year 3.  Around here schools are starting (except for our district, they've been back for about a month already.)   Here's a great sale to help y'all stock up on back to school supplies...

I was actually being sarcastic with the FOX News Joke. Seriously sad I have to explain sarcasm.

Loved Law and Order. 5th best Police show, 3rd best law show ever on tv. Fact they combined the 2 genres makes it a classic.

In the last 3 years Eli Manning has averaged 4,000 passing yards and 30 TD passes, last year he threw for 5,000 yards. I put him just outside the top 5.
I still put him in the top 5 based on those numbers and 2 Super Bowl trophies. And Peyton barely makes top 10

if his numbers were mediocre, then every qb but 3 sucked last year.

^^^^Placed last in every fantasy league he's ever been in.

You didn't have to explain it, I was merely pointing out that FOX could never be cool enough to have Law & Order.  That's just a brutal insult to NBC.cheeky

*disclaimer*: Aside from Law & Order, you will never see me defend NBC on anything.
