Out of the 5 rookie quarterbacks starting this year, who will have the best season? (Edited 08/29/12 08:34AM by escobar1721)
2012 is the year of the next generation of quarterbacks, so many less than 3 year quarterbacks being productive is this the real new N.F.L?!

I have to go with Russel Wilson, I believe he have the opportunity to make the Seattle Seahawks a playoff contender and challenge the 49ers in the NFC West this year, Russell Wilson is a type of QB that will frustrate the defense with his mobile ability and his speed as well,  When Marshawn Lynch comes back from his brief suspension, WATCH OUT, the seahawks may be one of the most balanced offense in the league...  The rest of the rookie QBs are with teams who will deal with tough competition from their own division like Weeden (AFC North), RG3 (NFC East), Ryan Tannehill (AFC East) as well as Andrew Luck who is in a rebuilding stage with the colts after Peyton Manning's departure...

I like Wilson as well but I do believe that because of the team around him RG3 has the best chance coming out of the east  as a wild card!

I would LOVE to be able to say Wilson, and I do believe he'll have a great season if he keeps playing like he's been playing this preseason. However, I don't want to jinx it and I really hate to talk up my team (I fear disappointment). I think that RG3 has the best team around him to be successful. I really hope DangeRussWilson will kick some tail and outplay all of these guys.

Ok fair enough much respect for your comment, I just would really like for Wilson to put all his haters' feet in their mouths about his height and be that franchise man!

The 'Skins have to beat teams outside of their division like the Falcons, Bengals, Steelers, Ravens, and Saints as well as having a 4-2 division record if they have a shot of winning the wild card...

Indy did get lucky but my concern is the running game is Brown enough to keep the chains going or will all the pressure be on Luck to carry this team?!

For those that say the Redskins have that much talent to make a wild card in RG 3's 1st year I must ask why the confidence?
Maybe I am not as familiar with the Redskins as other people are, however when your running back is Tim Hightower who has played a full season 3 out of his 4 seasons in the NFL and has yet to reach 750 yards, plus is coming off a season in which he played 5 games and rushed for 384 yards doesn't make me feel their loaded at that position.  Besides Santana Moss, I believe the verdict is still out on whether Pierre Garcon will be great outside of playing with Peyton Manning.   I simply think with the division their in compared to the one Seattle is in, that Wilson's team will have a better chance of getting a wild card even if they lose both games to the 49er's.  Washington might be lucky not to get swept by the 3 teams in their division.

Great points all around and by no means am I a Redskins fan (really don't like them) but if you break down the teams I fell the Redskins defense is just that much better than Seattle's!

If Russell wins the Rookie of the Year! man that would be just the best example of never giving in to what people ("experts") say!! Plus it would get people off Carroll's back!

I don't know about that - their offense might be better than Seattle's (I'm not sure how much confidence I have in our o-line just yet, or the receivers) but the Seahawks defense is a force. They were just coming into their own last year, and will be even better this season. The secondary alone will be scary to opposing teams.

True the Seahawk secondary is really talented and I could give them the edge, as far as your offense the line is questionable but Wilson's mobility will resolve that issue like RG3 @ Washington (their line suxs worst) but something about the presence of RG3 seems to raise the level at Washington pretty high!

The Seahawk defense will be tested in week 3 against the vaunted Packer offense, they will need the 12th man that day to stop Aaron Rodgers and crew.

I think Russel Wilson will have the best season because I think the Seahawks O-line has what it takes to protect him and give him time in the pocket. If Wilson and T O can click together I see a lot of TD's coming to the Seahawks. If I had a second choice I would pick Andrew Luck just because of how well he has played in preseason...He seems to need a little more NFL experience but he certainly has the potential too.

Great points however here's another point for RG3 as well as Pete develops college quarterbacks, Mike knows how to use his quarterback's strength, the main argument is which defense plays better & consistent!!

Fortunately TO was cut - but I'm hoping Wilson has chemistry with a couple of receivers and/or tight ends...this team has been lacking that for years.

My Lady Jess you have Winslow & Miller at tight end(good talent) Rice, Tate & Baldwin at receiver(great talent) you are loaded there but your question mark is the offensive line!

Winslow was cut too (I think it was a money thing...he wouldn't take a pay cut) and they brought Evan Moore in. I'm not sure how good he is or how he'll do, but Doug Baldwin is pretty excited about him - apparently they played at Stanford together.

Yeah, it would've been too much ego on that seahawks ballclub and TO can be demanding at times...  I don't blame seattle for releasing him because they don't want to go through what other teams had went through with TO...

I was worried about him destroying morale - that's one thing the 'Hawks have going for them. I was also worried about how his attitude could affect both of the quarterbacks on the roster, regardless of who got the starting job. That kind of thing can stunt the growth of a young QB. I was so happy they got rid of him before the season even started. Before he had a chance to ruin our team. I have no idea what Pete was thinking, bringing him there in the first place.

All true! & best of luck this season, however I do feel bad for Wilson next week when DeMarcus Ware embarrasses him in front of his home crowd!! Aww! and Russell says after being sacked " That 94 hurt me coach"!!

Exactly, the reason why the seahawks wanted work with him was because the seahawks had a hardtime keeping Sidney Rice healthy and the seahawks were looking for a strong WR that can catch the ball and be the difference maker along with bringing Braylon Edwards in to with with the team in the process...  Maybe the seahawks thought TO would be alittle mature... That was before Russell Wilson started to exhibit his talent in the preseason.  I guess what glitters isn't always gold when teams deal with TO or Chad Johnson...

Wow! I didn't know Seattle had Edwards? but Braylon is a T.O. in training, all that wasted talent, Chad Ocho what the hell ever, that fool ruin his own career, reminds me alot of Roy Williams & Plaxico Burress, sadly though even with the paid babysitters for Bryant, his punka$$ is going that same route!

Braylon has a great opportunity to be one of the best WRs in the game since he's with Russell Wilson and he better not blow it otherwise he will keep getting bounced from teams like you mentioned...  At least Braylon has way less ego than TO...  Some people who get alot of money don't know how to maintain themselves and they end up in situations that an average person don't want to be in.

what all you russell wilson fans keep forgetting is his inconsistent 4 years at North Carolina State where he only played against 3 fearsome defenses -- FSU, UNC, VA TECH. that has been the knock on him, not his size. Inconsistency

didn't forget and the argument can be made Wilson became good because of the system & talent around him, however Wilson does have great skills now! (we live in the now) my point and Sunday proved it, Washington has a better defense & healthier receivers( Garçon will be fine) & a well coached offensive line!! RG3 has a all around better supporting cast then any other rookie starting! Sorry it is what it is!
