Hey, whats going on?  The other day I downloaded the Drag Racer app on my phone. Sh**ts pretty addicting, you run 1/4 and 1/2 mile drag races with Supras and Evos and all kinds of cars, you can race against other people in real time. Right now i'm running a Toyota Supra MK4, doing 12.9 1/4 miles at level1, that might all be gibberish to you but the point is that i'll smoke you.

Happy Humpday,

Spicy black bean dip from Trader Joe's is the bomb.  It will be the death of me this football season. 

I'm loving this new In Sync album.  My buddy (who works for their record label) sent me the advanced copy and I can't stop listening to it.  They remix "Bye Bye Bye" and it's featuring Nelly.  I'm going to drive around my neighborhood tonight bumping it loud and proud. 

Cubs suck.

College football is 33 hours away.  Go Vandy! 

Passed a hipster bum (probably part of the Occupy Movement) on my way to work this morning.  As he was approaching me I asked him if I could borrow $5.  The look on his face was priceless.

 Morning. 

I got a some things done in my classroom yesterday. I'm a master of the hot glue gun (actually I f**king hate the stupid f**ker), organizing markers and other writing stuff, and Kings fandom. Just wait till you see what my Championship Word Wall will look like! 
 

NHL network is messing with me and my teacher preparedness. HOw dare they air GAME 1 Round 2. I can't NOT watch it again. DAMN (LOVE) YOU NHL NETWORK! 

I didn't see the RNC, family business (bbq and movie) to attend, but I read twitter, so I'm all caught up. Funniest tweet is from @JennyJohnsonHi5  "The creepiest part about political conventions are the screaming white women in the American flag jumpers with banana clips in their hair."

 i'm dumb. i took that dude's bait in the political poll. soccerfan hasn't even gotten me to do that before. i guess cause, with him, he's just a blow hard. but i think the other guy actually thinks he's funny. and it just got me. i got weak. i hate those polls. that's not true. i actually do like reading them. it's kinda like listening to colin cowherd. it just makes my blood get all boily and i remember what my beliefs are, even if i keep em to myself.

Okay so thanks to two of the Mexicans at work now only being able to work on Saturdays and Sundays, I will have the weekends off. That is almost unheard of in the restaurant business.

69 hours till College Football starts, granted there will be games before Saturday at 9 AM, but I don't care. College football does not matter till ND kicks off.

Also Marcus today's O/U on Fan-Qaeda is 72.5, just in case you would like to double down.

Good Morning Qville !


Hurricane Isaac has not yet gotten to us as it creeps along ever so slowly across some of our coastal parishes. We are only seeing some outer bands with light rain and winds so far today.

But water has breached some of the levee systems in some of the area's around New Orleans etc like in Plaquemines parish and other area's around there. These areas are filled with a lot of poorer people of our state many fishermen who were struggling enough because of the oil spill and people who work in that industry etc and hardly recovered at all yet from that. Now this storm just sits there and batters there area over and over it just refuses to move angry many people did evacuate but they are losing there homes and the little they have left .  A lot of people along the MIss coast are also getting hit pretty hard.

So if your going to make any good wishes or what ever as much as i appreciate it please don't do it for me do it for them , believe me they can use it a whole lot more at this point. I'll say TY already for them !  

Our turn is coming no doubt but they just can't take much more.

Atlanta, GA - QSPN's Adam Schefter is reporting the PigSkin Pimps have taken QB Russy Wilson off the league waiver wire due to concerns over the offensive line play for the aging T. Brady (NE) and S. Bradford (STL),  currently 1 and 2 on the their depth chart.

An unnamed source in the Pimps front office was quoted as saying,


This may be the first of many draft hedges for the embattled team, considering the other questions marks on their bench going into the season. Most notably, the injury to RB J. Stewart (CAR) and the pending suspension of WR K. Britt (TEN).

All of this comes on the heels of the team's appearance on the Lifetime Network's "Fantasy Hard Knocks," where GM M. Nyce slapped an intern, pooped in the refrigerator and ate a whole wheel of cheese.

HA! I've been getting @Faux_Schefter & @fake_Mort_Report updates from peeps in my keeper league, so I thought I'd do the same for the QFL.

Should you be getting the hell out of dodge or are you far enough inland that Isacc won't affect you the same way it is the coastal parishes.

 It's kind of surreal to actually carry out my FF retirement for once - but it's nice. I have no desire...and I will be entirely too busy on 8 weekends to be worried about my lineups.

Root Sports acquired the Big Sky conference games, so we get to watch most of the Griz games this year. Kind of excited.

We went and registered Kiernan for school yesterday. I think I'm going to like this, if we stay (yes, there's a possibility we could be moving again soon). Her class has only 14 or 15 people in it...all of the classes are tiny because the town is tiny and in the middle of nowhere. And it's got tribal funding, so there are all sorts of programs and stuff available. The principal personally showed us around the school yesterday and told us all about how things work - she was really nice; personable, and she loved Kiernan. Rumor around the base is that she initially came in as a teacher and was unhappy with the way things worked at the school so she went back to school and got her masters and did whatever else it took to take the job of principal there. On that note, it's a little weird to live on a tiny base again in a small town, where the wives know everything about everybody and like to share.

Yes the area and angle that it has made landfall made our area just a little safer then the other coastal area's. So we will get hit but it will be losing steam by time it gets to our area as it slides a little more to the west / north west.  Reports are now saying we will be getting between 4-10 inches of rain so some flooding is likely but we should miss most of the stronger winds as long as the storm continues to weaken as it moves toward us.

Are you some sort of feminutzi? Do you have a problem with male cookies? Do you prefer to only eat female cookies? I think that with the right cookie, nuts can enhance the cookie. For instance a peanut  butter cookie, it makes sense to place peanuts in them. Now would it make sense to place a pistachio nut in a Chocolate Chip cookie? Not in my opinion, but maybe it would be good, I don't know. But I am not anti-nuts so I would be willing to try them.

I'm posting my update, then I'll go  back and read everything.....

My daughter started taking horseback riding lessons 8 days ago.  We are trading work around the ranch with a neighbor, and she is mucking out stalls, brushing horses, feeding chickens and rabbits, watering gardens and spending 2-3 hours a day in the riding arena.  She thinks she died and went to heaven.  She is riding a horse named |Trotsky" and of course, I talk to him in a Russian accent and he loves us.  She has mastered the trot with him and moved onto the lope today, and did an awesome job.  Her instructor, Emily, loves her and says she is a natural on a horse.  Now they just have to get me back on a horse - it has been years since I rode a horse and I am nervous as hell, but I will do it for my daughter.

We had such an awesome day today, neither of us wanted it to end!!!!!
