Why do wheels look like they are spinning backwards? And other silly questions.

Ok, I really would like to know why car wheels look like they are spinning backwards? I would also like to know why if salt makes you float in water therefore,making you lighter, why does it bloat you when you eat to much of it and cause you water weight gain?

Here's your chance to ask a stupid question and maybe be able to get the answer to it. After all there is some pretty smart cookies here in Q'ville.

I'm not sure why they call those 12" rocks 'softballs'. Maybe just because it's bigger than a baseball and almost the same size as a softball.

#20 \| 251 days ago ML31 (+)	And... Wheels can look like they are moving backwards on film because film is just a bunch of still pictures presented at usually 32 frames per second. At some speeds the wheels can appear to be turning backwards because at the time of frame film shot the wheel has rotated enough so the next shot shows the wheel to be a little bit in back of where it was before.
