I went and got me that there Rosettie Stone thing.
I love the Rosetta Stone commercials I really do. They make me believe that I could be speaking Greek within minutes.  I have considered buying it and trying to learn Greek. So if I have thought about learning a second language I know other people have as well.

So, if someone just gave you Rosetta Stone what language would you choose? And if you are already bi-lingual  what other language do you speak?

You know I just thought of something else, I could so see Jason trying to speak french, if you could picture another Q'er speaking a second language, who and what would they speak.

Usually, all it takes is some alcohol and a sense of adventure to get a girl to "speak greek"
(I hope someone else knows what that means)

I was once fluent in French, but not so much these days.  I can read it well, speaking without sounding like retarded is another matter.  Because of those abilities, I can dabble in Spanish and Italian, I know a little Russian and can still swear in Farsi (thank you Ali and Ibrahim)

I would like to learn Cantonese and Mandarin

Definitely Mandarin.  With the business climate changing so rapidly, it would be VERY useful to know.  I speak Spanish, Italian, and Ebonics in addition to English.

I would learn Croatian. I know a lot of people who speak it and by all rights I should know more than I do, but when I was young I made it a point to distance myself from it.

As for another Q'er.... Maybe kobe_lova speaking in tongues! ;)
Greek? Why?
#7 | 252 days ago

I can speak Spanish (though I'm slow - yeah, yeah, start the jokes.  I can read it better than I speak it, and I speak it with a gringo accent.)

I can speak bits of Japanese, Korean, French, Tagalog, and ASL.

Thanks to Trever's last station, we have it for both Spanish (Latin America and Spain), Italian, Greek, French, German, and Russian. I think Mandarin might be in there too. I seriously doubt I'll ever have enough time or energy to learn any of those languages fluently. Maybe. It would be cool, and smart, to know at least one more.

My daughter is also learning Makah, the Native American language here - in school.

I would like to learn all the non naughty, cuss, slang words. I speak some Spanish already (thank you Mr Knight HS Spanish teacher) understand better than I speak. I would love to learn some french, just because of the way it makes my mouth feel!

LOL

We had exchange students living with us all through my high school years - we had one from Bolivia and one from Spain, so I know all sorts of bad stuff in two different Spanish slang. That's about all they ever taught us besides culture. And this...
 - I'm not a big fan of Spanish food. Especially candy.
 - Never ask someone from Bolivia with just a very slight grasp of the English language if she wants a cup of hot cocoa
 - I absolutely love Bolivian hair jewelry
 - Exchange students have some rich parents.

Oh we had an exchange student from Yugoslavia (when it was Yugoslavia) living with us as well as one from Germany. I never learned any Slovenian or Croatian or German naughty words.

I wish I had taken my Spanish classes a little more seriously in school. I can't roll the 'r' and that is a p*sser. As for as being bi-lingual, right now I'm just into chicks.

I'd like to see Jason speak fluent pig-latin.

As far as Greek goes, that is reserved for the intimate moments! surprise  cheeky

I speak a little bit of Spanish......it's a little rusty, but I know un pocito.

Everyone speaks ITALIAN!

I would chose to learn more Italian - It was never spoken in my house. The only ones that spoke it were my great grandfather and my great aunts and uncles......I know a few words but would love to speak it fluently.

Tagalog, the national language of the Philippines.

Because I think Filipinas are the hottest, sexiest women on the planet.

Only thing I want that has to do with Greek is maybe a salad, and seeing if the woman I am with will let me do it the Greek way.

I would like to be fluent in Spanish and Italian. Used to speak some Turkish and can still count to 10 and order a beer, not that it does me much good here, but you never know when you could run into a Turkish bartender. I do know a few words in the Choctaw language.
