Today I am going to be.
Today I am going to be the person that wakes up and goes to their job and knows that it may be the last day of my life.  Today I am going to be the person that get's forgotten when people talk about the military. I am going to be the person that, saves lives by jumping out of helicopters into waters that other service men could never survive. I am going into places like the Bering straights and the waters off the coast of Alaska. I will jump into water that will kill a human within 2 minutes. I am the person that will not ever give up on bringing the lost at sea home.  

  I will answer all S.O.S. calls, even though it means I may not go home to my family. I will always guard our boarders from all enemies  foreign and domestic. I will always know that saving one is my paycheck. 

  Today I will be, The United States Coast Guard. And I will be this proudly!

Today I am going to be a really cool great Aunt. I am taking both of my 3 year old great nieces to build a bear and to see Hotel Transylvania. We will eat mall food and I will give them sugar and caffeine. smiley

  I will spoil them rotten, get lots of hugs and kisses, get them really wound up, then take them home to their mommies. cheeky

 i will be the security guard for the sofa in the living room (in front of the t.v).    i will ensure that it stays where it has been placed by lounging on top of it all day. yes

I was working and there was a young man in with a couple of guys at the bar. And he was home on leave from the coast guard and I heard him saying how much he loved it and couldn't wait to get back to Alaska.

  He was a very cool guy, and I wish him well.  smiley

 I will be the homeless person that gives back to the community more than I take just to balance it out. I will be the voice of all the homeless veterans for the Occupy Wall Street Movement in Fort Lauderdale so that maybe the (SH)itty Commission of Fort Lauderdale and the Broward County Commission can actually hear something that gets them to do more than give lip service to taking care of the Veterans.
