I know the Tigers had a good offensive team but with Cabrera it would have been tough for the tigers to win the Central. Stout did not great with the Angels and deserves to be mention.

I agree with your pick but in two words Ted Williams...... he won the triple crown crown twice and did not win the MVP either year.

This ain't the 60's. Cabrera and there is no question.  Tigers went to the World Series right?

Your right this is not the '60s to bad that happen back in the '40s. Tigers did not go the the Series because of Cabrera their pitching had something to do with it. Besides they vote on it before the season ended and the play-offs have nothing to do with it. Yince again I will say it I agree Cabrera should get it, getting the triple crown (which take away the stats from NL teams he does not win it) and getting to the Series is not reasons why.

For the record, the two players who had won the triple crown in the '60s, also won the MVP in Frank Robinson, and Carl Yastrzemski in 1966 and 1967 respectively.
