ok, bob. you finally have my attention. calm down.

it's fun! cause on national tv, we made sure we looked like texans are expected to look and helped the packers look the way they're supposed to look. i'd like to slap posey's lips off. he sucked the awesome out of the stadium like 8 minutes into the game.

i went on a ghost hunt of galveston on friday! this is where we stayed (which is one of the haunt stops):

inside was like walking onto the set of the shining! i didn't see anything spooky, but i got to hear some of the coolest galveston history (the gross stuff) while really checking out the old buildings going all the way back to the civil war all along the strand. the weather and the whole weekend was absolutely perfect!

except for that texans thing. the cool part was, somehwere between the 3rd and 4th giftwrapped packers touchdowns, our power shoomed off. it was like the football gods knew something was gonna get broken if we watched anymore. the baseball gods felt a little jilted by it all.

man, i could live in galveston. easy.

MORNING!

The Walking Dead was AWESOME last night (I apologize ahead of time for possibly discussing it, but it was on last night.....a couple of times and really.....you can't expect people to sit on it .....you just can't.)

TEAM RICK! so.....glad I was on his team before he went "This is not a democracy" badass! I chose correct! HE CUT OFF HERSHELL'S MFing LEG! =BADASS!!!! Other notes: Laurie's preggo belly freaks me out---------if she delivers a zombie....best moment in TV! New character...Michonne (spelling probably is wrong because well.....I'm lazy)----anywhoo, She has pet zombies! I'm thinking they are her younger bro and possibly her lying cheating boyfriend.....just guesses, but still. Awesome!

I hope my principal couldn't watch. Jerk. I'm still bitter about him not sending out a rescue squad for me on Friday.

Picture day is Wednesday and I'm seriously considering wearing #mystanleycupchamp shirt. I was thinking hat, but I thought that was pushing it a bit, but it's still being considered.

Hydrate and hug someone.

Random Thoughts...

1.  I cant believe my boys are 3-3 and tied for first.  After watching Hard Knocks i was fully expecting an 0-16 season.

2.  TV Nerdiness....
a.  Best Walking Dead ever last night.  Oh and I need to see Maggie topless immediately.
b.  This season of Dexter could rival Lithgow's season as the best in the series.
c.   Homeland can suck my d**k.   Are you f**king kidding me with that sh**?  This season is going to play out EXACTLY like last season.  If i wanted to watch last season again i would go buy the f**king DVD OF LAST SEASON.   Also..for a badass ex CIA agent that stupid a** Carrie sure cries a lot.   Sorry Marcus...but she needs to go.  The show would be infinitely more enjoyable with her gone.
d.  What a horrible piece of sh** Boardwalk Empire has turned out to be.

3.  My kid broke my heart last night.  For Halloween instead of going as the girl from The Ring she wants to go like someone dressed for a masquerade ball.  I wanted to punt her through a wall.  F**king girls.  Im thinking of doing zombie make up and shuffling around the neighborhood chewing on a steak dipped in corn syrup and food coloring.

I just watched video from the jump.  Damn near made me sick when he started circling.  HUGE cajones!

Clearly I do not belong here.  I don't watch Walking Dead or Homeland. I watch Heartland and Revenge with my daughter, if there's no football on.  BTW, both the Redskins and the Seahawks won, so I am happy.

My son got out to his camp okay and has a decent room.He starts work today at noon, doing almost exactly what he was doing at the golf course,  but for $5 more an hour.  He can buy all the Christmas presents this year and I can ignore Christmas altogether.

Morning Q'rs

That's all I got really, my head is fuzzy, (sinuses & non sleeping), I know I am suppose to be doing things, but I just can't remember what. Weekend was pretty exciting. Let me just say, Sea Hawks got the best uniforms in this Nike deal. I seriously love them. Watching them beat the Pats was so very cool. I have to go to the store (yeah) liquor cabinet is empty...making enchiladas for dinner.
I'm just rambling...going now.....Have a great one! Smile !

So, I finished re-watching the second season of the Walking dead last night at about 10pm, then went to the DVR to watch the new episode.. Only to find it not there.. Stupid DVR records the entire second season that aired yesterday, but, decided not to record the new episode until it re-aired Friday.. Not even the midnight showing.. Had to fix that, so I'm avoiding spoilers about last night until I can watch that tonight.
And I'm with Jason on Maggie.  Meeeeeeeeooooowwwwwww

The Falcons almost ruined my Eliminator Challenge entry yesterday.. The Raiders? Seriously?

I really need a big performance out of PFM and my boys in Orange tonight.

It's nice seeing the Yankees down 2-0 and the Captain on the shelf.

So West Virginia went down in flames this weekend didn't they?

Is There Baseball In Heaven?

Two old men had been best friends for years, and they both live to their early 90's, when one of them suddenly falls deathly ill. His friend comes to visit him on his deathbed, and they're reminiscing about their long friendship, when the dying man's friend asks, "Listen, when you die, do me a favor. I want to know if there's baseball in heaven."

The dying man said, "We've been friends for years, this I'll do for you." And then he dies.

A couple days later, his surviving friend is sleeping when he hears his friend's voice. The voice says, "I've got some good news and some bad news. The good news is that there's baseball in heaven."

"What's the bad news?"

"You're pitching on Wednesday."

Dolphins managed to pull out a win in spite of their best efforts to blow the lead in the last 4 minutes as usual.  Yay.
Jason Taylor (mm,mm, mm) and Zach Thomas (he looks very small now) had their numbers retired yesterday.  Nice.

My sister was in San Francisco and went to the Jelly Belly factory and bought me 2lbs of Belly Flops (all the rejects)
We put them in a big tupperware container and played Jelly Bean roulette during the game/Dexter Season 6).
Some tasted like ashes, others like sunscreen.indecision Occasionally a good one.  It's gonna take a while to get rid of these things.

Been up since 5 a.m., Why TF do my kids have to live 23 miles north?. PITA on Monday mornings for school.  Ugh.

I forgot, I worked an estate sale on Sunday morning.  Looks like we are trading work hours for others peoples good crap.

Morning, Everybodee!

Well, I 've been going back and forth with an Asst. Principal at the school regarding the scheduling of facilities at the school.  He schedules groups to use an area, then he schedules another group at the same time, and doesn't tell anybody.  And he just says the groups need to share the facilities.  (I'm really leaning towards leaving that letter "t" out of Asst. Principal.)

I've been copying the emails to the principal.  I'm going to have to call him directly.  Maybe see if he can take a rolled up newspaper and smack the AP upside the head.

(I have to be careful here, I really like this principal.  I have to make sure I don't insult any on his staff, especially his right-hand person.  I don't want to offend the principal. )   I just found out this last weekend that the school this principal came from last year just went back on Program Improvement.  The year before he transferred over to us, the school had just gotten off the PI list.  That says something about his presence at a school.

I watch Dexter, but not the others. I watched the first few episodes of the Walking Dead and I'm really not a fan. I actually am interested in Homeland though and may catch it eventually.

HIIIII folks! How 'bout them Seahawks yesterday? I thought for sure we'd be driving home somewhat dejected (though I get over it quickly). I was really hoping they'd put more pressure on Brady, but that guy gets rid of the ball FAST. He didn't shut us up though, and he didn't make us boo our Seahawks like he said he was hoping to. Even down 13 points, we made the Pats take time outs. They may say the noise wasn't a factor but you just have to watch the game to know they're fibbing. I love our defense. They were frustrating me, but I had to keep telling myself that this was the Patriots. They're a great offense, and no matter how great your defense is they're going to get some points and lots of yards...it's that simple. And Russell Wilson...wowza! Amazing what that kid can do when the receivers get open, fight for the ball, and don't drop it!

So I know I've mentioned lately the mess my back has been in. Seriously it's like the top half was shifted about a half an inch or so over from the bottom half, right under my shoulder blades. Yesterday after that 2nd fourth quarter touchdown, the guy who sits next to me hugged me and started jumping up and down like crazy. I felt my back do something really weird, it knocked the wind out of me and freaked me out a bit. I was too excited to really find my give-a-damn about it at that point but on the way home I noticed I wasn't as uncomfortable as usual sitting in that passenger seat. Then when I went to bed I realized that there were no issues lying on my left side, like before. My crazy bouncing freak game friend fixed my back for free. Right on.

Glad I have a quiet day ahead of me. Ready to put on my new Beats headphones (my husband spoils me) and get to work. Ciao!

I thought I should've clarified that AFTER I submitted.

On a side note, I was checking out a "barefaced beauties" thingy on yahoo or something and came across this picture of Rihanna.

She's looking a little like Fiona from Shrek to me.  SMH.

It's actually "I want Dave that Way..."

When is somebody going to ruin zombies like "Twilight" ruined vampires?

Redskins win.  Huskers didn't lose.

Fix my F**king Hockey.

oh then there was the ********* with the ********.

I made this shot, and honestly I believe it's good:

equal parts Amaretto, Malibu, and Yukon Jack.  Mix with Ginger or Cola.  On ice.

the amaretto takes the bite of the Yukon, can't really taste the rum.  I call it chasing AMY, because I am Ben Affleck.

I had a big meeting today, which meant suit and tie. It made me think I should wear a tie more often to work. At the same time, I always think I look like a 10 year old playing dress up when I wear a suit.

I'd start a website called Life as a Loser if it wasn't already taken (damn you Will Leitch!).

Not a good sign for hockey if the NHL has called on notorious propaganda artist Frank Luntz to craft their messaging.

OK - I'll air this thought,
I was going 2 launch my own polls 'The Biggest Chokers', my choice last week was Reds manager Dusty Baker,
he has the worst misfortune of any active manager in the postseason after three epic collapses.
1).2002 Giants led 3 games to 2,only to have Angels win last 2 games and the 2002World Series,
2)2003 Cubs owned a 3-1 cushion in the 2003 NLCS over the Marlins, when the Fish won Game5,then we all know what happened in Game 6,Top of the 8th - 8 runs and the Marlins go on to capture the 2003 NL flag.
3). Last week his Reds were up 2-0 and the SF Giants stormed back to win next 3 games.

I really hope this year's NLCS goes 7 games including some slugfests.
My heart goes out to Yankees skipper Joe Girardi(his father died last week),then yesterday he was tossed after that missed call - I 'hate' it when the dumb umpire ejects the manager or player for their mistakes --  Happy Birthday Joe G!!
Well I'm going 2 watch Giants/Cards tonight!
I also see NBA has started their exhibition season, so of course the Celtics,Sixers and Bulls(all 3 playoff teams last spring) lose their home games which mean I lose 100 FanIQ pointsno!

Hydrate and hug someone.
be a true rebel--wear them both to show your solidarity to the NHL season that is almost dead.

Im thinking of doing zombie make up and shuffling around the neighborhood chewing on a steak dipped in corn syrup and food coloring.
after looking at their schedule and their preseason, I gave Miami a 4-12 record based on:
  • rookie head coach
  • rookie QB,
  • schedule where they only face 4 QB's who are rookies or 2nd year starters
  •
but from what I've seen on tv, Dolphins are slowly but surely impressing the hell out of me, especially with their defense. I think upgrading them to a 9-7 record is not out of the realm of possibility at all, and Tannehill in my opinion should be the leading choice for Rookie of the Year.

that sucks. Maybe if they put A-Rod back at short and played Chavez at 3rdBase, since Nix and Nunez aren't the quality of players that Jeter is, and haven't had the experience to play in the postseason like A-Rod, Chavez or Jeter, it might help the Yankees offense. Something has to or Detroit goes to World Series this year.

Ciao!
find a way to sit next to that guy again for the next home game. Free chiropractic care at an NFL Game, what's next?

Oh we're season ticket holders - he's always there. The only problem is, I'll have to be careful next time if my back is fine before the game!

Oh, I hate kids. I have no idea why anyone has them voluntarily, either. And no clue why they would do it again. I mean there are some who simply love kids, but most give selfish excuses or the populate the earth excuse. I had mine for a reason, but trust me when I say she was very much a game time decision. I don't hate babies, though, so I'd be all about "borrowing" one til around 18 months.
