How long is news technically Breaking News?
All morning ESPN has been talking about the Eagles firing their defensive coordinator.  The left side of the screen as well as the bottom line continue to announce it as breaking news.  So when does it just become news, especially since it's a firing of a coordinator and not a earth shattering event like 9/11.

One hour for any news that doesn't effect American's outside the world of sports is plenty. Especially considering the fact that local channels in Philly are covering this story more intensively for Eagles fans anyway.  Obviously the death of an athlete, or something like Magic Johnson's announcement that he has the HIV virus are exceptions.  Wars, and other major non-sports news should be given the proper coverage no matter how long it takes.

One hour here too.  Let the local news channel(s) carry it but there are more important things Americans need to know.

It's ESPN, you do know you can change the channel, right?

ESPN sucks.

I'm not even sure what channel is ESPN on my cable.

What really sucks is that ESPN was awesome about 11 or 12 years ago.  I miss the Charlie Steiner days.
