Welcome back. This is the part of the locker room where you can sit and chat and chill for a while without offending or being shushed. Maybe you wanna watch a dvd or listen to your mp3. Yes, I rhymed. Something on your mind, post it! Random question, ask it? Hijacking is allowed and encouraged. Join the party, troll around, have a beer. It's cool. All are welcome, but please leave all BS in the hall.

I had no idea how much a missed Ruxin until I saw him! So great. "Jenny, you were flicking that bean like Mean Joe Greene". I just... love him (and Taco).

You know, the neighborhood where I work is full of way richer than me (myself) type of people. They would usually have all of the election signage everywhere. Local or national elections, it's usually the same. This time, there is exactly ONE R/R supporter sign on the route I usually take. ONE. But there are none for the other side either. This tells me that they know better and are ashamed, but are voting for him anyway. People make me sick.

Morning all! I am back again, and this time for good!

Went to pittsburgh for the Eagles game, and it was AWESOME!!!!  the plane rides did not help my acheyness, but have finally started going to therapy to help. Waiting to hear from the claims girl representing Walmart to see what is happening on their end.

Saturday the 13th we fnally had to do the unthinkable. We had our husky la mis put to rest. She, Jen-Jen, was gorgeous, sweeter than sugar, just the best dog you could ever hope to have in your life. She was 15. They say that her type usually only live to 10-11. So we were extremely fortunate that we were able to enjoy her company longer than intended. Someone told us that she lived longer because she was a happy girl, and very content with her home and her people.

I am trying to keep busy. It's hard being in the office, since she was always in the office with me while I worked. I think she is still there. I occaisionally hear her nails on the tile, or the sound her collar would make when she walked.....

I am glad to be back, this time you're stuck with me.

Exactly how I feel. It's like losing one of your children that don't talk back... She will be missed forever, but like you said, the pain lessens a bit everyday. We knew this day was coming, but you never are really prepeared for it.

Ash, your poll choices gave me a fit of giggles...thanx
( in the second one I saw Booger instead of burger) shudders

I am amazed at the levels of excuses I will sink to to eat junk food. I have perfectly good food packed for lunch and I saw a chick with this burrito and it looked so yummy and I know how bad it is for me, but gee whiz, I had to have it. And, it was the most yummiest of burritos ever.  My mind is at war as I type: You are gonna pay for eating that burrito, why?, no one knows I ate it, i can eat healthy for dinner, you know you won't, jello shots are waiting for you, oh yeah, American Horror Story: Asylum is premiering tonight, uh huh, well there is always tomorrow right?
On a btw and pat myself on the back: Joshua and Jack both made Honor Role (yeah I was shocked they still have it too) and of course Perfect Attendance, which is very cool, because they get free meals at Texas Roadhouse & Rosa's Tortilla Factory (yum yum) I'm here and there... After last night, all I can say is that there are a lot of people out there that need stronger meds or need to have meds prescribed to them!
According to the CNN Debate survey 54% of the people that voted are the ones needing such meds or stronger ones (39% think that Flopney won the debate and 15% thought it was a tie)!  frown

And to those Obama supporters, after spending hours of research, I finally found the Romney-Ryan tax plan that will be able to cut taxes by $5 Trillion without exploding the deficit.  So, y'all can put that debate to rest  >>>  ROMNEY-RYAN TAX PLAN

Let's get some positive mojo going for the NHL to end their lockout!

More info on the NHL CBA that was offered:

http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=643570

NHL PROPOSAL TO SAVE 82-GAME SEASON

1. Term:

• Six-year Agreement with mutual option for a seventh year.

2. HRR Accounting:

• Current HRR Accounting subject to mutual clarification of existing interpretations and settlements.

3. Applicable Players' Share:

• For each of the six (6) years of the CBA (and any additional one-year option) the Players' Share shall be Fifty (50) percent of Actual HRR.

4. Payroll Range:

• Payroll Range will be computed using existing methodology. For the 2012/13 season, the Payroll Range will be computed assuming HRR will remain flat year-over-year (2011/12 to 2012/13) at $3.303 Billion (assuming Preliminary Benefits of $95 Million).

• 2012/13 Payroll Range
Lower Limit = $43.9 Million
Midpoint = $51.9 Million
Upper Limit = $59.9 Million

• Appropriate "Transition Rules" to allow Clubs to exceed Upper Limit for the 2012/13 season only (but in no event will Club's Averaged Club Salary be permitted to exceed the pre-CBA Upper Limit of $70.2 Million).

5. Cap Accounting:

• Payroll Lower Limit must be satisfied without performance bonuses.

• All years of existing SPCs with terms in excess of five (5) years will be accounted for and charged against a team's Cap (at full AAV) regardless of whether or where the Player is playing. In the event any such contract is traded during its term, the related Cap charge will travel with the Player, but only for the year(s) in which the Player remains active and is being paid under his NHL SPC. If, at some subsequent point in time the Player retires or ceases to play and/or receive pay under his NHL SPC, the Cap charge will automatically revert (at full AAV) to the Club that initially entered into the contract for the balance of its term.

• Money paid to Players on NHL SPCs (one-ways and two-ways) in another professional league will not be counted against the Players' Share, but all dollars paid in excess of $105,000 will be counted against the NHL Club's Averaged Club Salary for the period during which such Player is being paid under his SPC while playing in another professional league.

• In the context of Player Trades, participating Clubs will be permitted to allocate Cap charges and related salary payment obligations between them, subject to specified parameters. Specifically, Clubs may agree to retain, for each of the remaining years of the Player's SPC, no more than the lesser of: (i) $3 million of a particular SPC's Cap charge or (ii) 50 percent of the SPC's AAV ("Retained Salary Transaction"). In any Retained Salary Transaction, salary obligations as between Clubs would be allocated on the same percentage basis as Cap charges are being allocated. So, for instance, if an assigning Club agrees to retain 30% of an SPC's Cap charge over the balance of its term, it will also retain an obligation to reimburse the acquiring Club 30% of the Player's contractual compensation in each of the remaining years of the contract. A Club may not have more than two (2) contracts as to which Cap charges have been allocated between Clubs in a Player Trade, and no more than $5 million in allocated Cap charges in the aggregate in any one season.

6. System Changes:

• Entry Level System commitment will be limited to two (2) years (covering two full seasons) for all Players who sign their first SPC between the ages of 18 and 24 (i.e., where the first year of the SPC only covers a partial season, SPC must be for three (3) years).

• Maintenance of existing Salary Arbitration System subject to: (i) total mutuality of rights with regard to election as between Player and Club, and (ii) eligibility for election moved to five years of professional experience (from the current four years).

• Group 3 UFA eligibility for Players who are 28 or who have eight (8) Accrued Seasons (continues to allow for early UFA eligibility -- age 26).

• Maximum contract length of five (5) years.

• Limit on year-to-year salary variability on multi-year SPCs -- i.e., maximum increase or decrease in total compensation (salary and bonuses) year-over-year limited to 5% of the value of the first year of the contract. (For example, if a Player earns $10 million in total compensation in Year 1 of his SPC, his compensation (salary and bonuses) cannot increase or decrease by more than $500,000 in any subsequent year of his SPC.)

• Re-Entry waivers will be eliminated, consistent with the Cap Accounting proposal relating to the treatment of Players on NHL SPCs playing in another professional league.

• NHL Clubs who draft European Players obtain four (4) years of exclusive negotiating rights following selection in the Draft. If the four-year period expires, Player will be eligible to enter the League as a Free Agent and will not be subject to re-entering the Draft.

7. Revenue Sharing:

• NHL commits to Revenue Sharing Pool of $200 million for 2012/13 season (based on assumption of $3.303 Billion in actual HRR). Amount will be adjusted upward or downward in proportion to Actual HRR results for 2012/13. Revenue Sharing Pools in future years will be calculated proportionately.

• At least one-half of the total Revenue Sharing Pool (50%) will be raised from the Top 10 Revenue Grossing Clubs in a manner to be determined by the NHL.

• The distribution of the Revenue Sharing Pool will be determined on an annual basis by a Revenue Sharing Committee on which the NHLPA will have representation and input.

• For each of the first two years of the CBA, no Club will receive less in total Revenue Sharing than it received in 2011/12.

• Current "Disqualification" criteria in CBA (for Clubs in Top Half of League revenues and Clubs in large media markets) will be removed.

• Existing performance and "reduction" standards and provisions relating to "non-performers" (i.e., CBA 49.3(d)(i) and 49.3(d)(ii)) will be eliminated and will be adjusted as per the NHL's 7/31 Proposal.

8. Supplemental and Commissioner Discipline:

• Introduction of additional procedural safeguards, including ultimate appeal right to a "neutral" third-party arbitrator with a "clearly erroneous" standard of review.

9. No "Rollback":

• The NHL is not proposing that current SPCs be reduced, re-written or rolled back. Instead, the NHL's proposal retains all current Players' SPCs at their current face value for the duration of their terms, subject to the operation of the escrow mechanism in the same manner as it worked under the expired CBA.

10. Players' Share "Make Whole" Provision:

• The League proposes to make Players "whole" for the absolute reduction in Players' Share dollars (when compared to 2011/12) that is attributable to the economic terms of the new CBA (the "Share Reduction"). Using an assumed year-over-year growth rate of 5% for League-wide revenues, the new CBA could result in shortfalls from the current level of Players' Share dollars ($1.883 Billion in 2011/12) of up to $149 million in Year 1 and up to $62 million in Year 2, for which Players will be "made whole." (By Year 3 of the new CBA, Players' Share dollars should exceed the current level ($1.883 Billion for 2011/12) and no "make whole" will be required.) Any such "shortfalls" in Years 1 and 2 of the new CBA will be computed as a percentage reduction off of the Player's stated contractual compensation, and will be repaid to the Player as a Deferred Compensation benefit spread over the remaining future years of the Player's SPC (or if he has no remaining years, in the year following the expiration of his SPC). Player reimbursement for the Share Reduction will be accrued and paid for by the League, and will be chargeable against Players' Share amounts in future years as Preliminary Benefits. The objective would be to honor all existing SPCs by restoring their "value" on the basis of the now existing level of Players' Share dollars.

Woman about 60, widow, goes to the beach hoping to meet a nice guy.  A man sets up on the sand not too far from her.  She's interested, so she decides to strike up a conversation.  She asks him "Do you like pussycats?"  With that, he goes over to her and makes passionate love to her for the next 15 minutes.  When finished, she asks him "How did you know that's what I needed?"  He replies "How did you know my name was KATZ?"

Konichiwa B!tches,

It's my first day back to work after a weeks 'vacation' that I had to take because I got pnemonia.... FML!!!  I've never felt so awful, and to be honest, I wouldn't mind taking another few days off but, unfortunately, I used the rest of my PTO for last week.

Speaking of work, it's been a rough past few weeks here.  I got demoted basically because the 'silent partner' doesn't like me.  I didn't lose any pay, but I lost all the OT I was getting.  In all reality, I'm glad my position changed, the stress that I was put under was a little overwhelming at times, but then again, nobody wants to be pushed out by a rich-kid-pr!ck with a grudge.  I did, however, learn where I stand in the grand scheme of things.  It's got me looking at the want ads as well as preparing to go back to school.

Found a cool story on the Oregon State recruiting phenominon..... kinda cool I guess

hey i have lost my Janet some where if you her where abouts let me know. I don't know whether she remembers me but i do miss her. Lots of love

Wow.

Yanks suck.  Then again, I can't even be that mad.  Considering they've been without their all-star closer all year and now the captain is out with a broken ankle (sidenote:  he's never coming back the same, mark it down), I wasn't expecting much.

I'm sorry, but for all the talk about the "liberal media" and how they favor Obama so much, I think that they're really making things tough on the Dems lately.  The president clearly won the debate on Tuesday (Romney looked like an idiot SO many times, case in point, Libya ... not to mention that he was rude to the moderator, big no-no, and seemed completely unpresidential), yet it seems everyone is calling it a draw.  Really?  Not to mention the hard time they gave Biden after his debate with Stepford Politician Ryan.  Ugh.

Stoney - Now I know what you do when you're so "busy" at work.  And the rainbow queen thing is for totally different reasons, let's be for real.
Sis - I'm not a popularity whore, so ease your mind.
Debi - Sorry about the pup, I've been there more than once.  *sigh*  It sucks, but it gets better.
Nick - The Romney/Ryan site was cute ... and wayyyy too accurate.  Scary s**t, I tell ya.

Are Kevin and Christi really sexting?  If so, that's cute.

All right F'ers, thanks for keeping your panties unbunched.  I'm one busy Cactus today.

Anyhow,

Buenos Dias, $h*theads!

Ramjit Raghav is the world's oldest "new" father.  The 96 year old farmer from India welcomed his new son, Ranjeet, into existence on planet earth on October 5th.  I will be happy if I'm still alive at 96.  I will be absolutely ecstatic if I can still f**k at 96.  I would be mortified to still have all the plumbing working at that age though.  At this rate, the biggest problem these two are going to have is deciding who is going to change who's diapers.

Anybody watch the debate last night???

Anybody??

I heard that Barry and Mittens kinda squared off on one another.  That fight would be the most epic purse slapping in history.  My money would have to be on Barry on this one though.  Not that I think that pencil necked bug f**ker can throw down, but you know Mooch and gonna let her man get beat down, and I'm thinkin she's the difference maker here.  Sursly, that woman looks like Mike Tyson at an all you can eat ear buffet.   Mooch by K-O in a nanosecond!

Newsflash, F'ers. GOP Senator Tom Coburn says the US is bankrupt.  I say we aint broke until the Chinese are out of money to borrow.

That's it for today,

You F'ers have been edJACKated!

If you don't want to read it by following the link, here is the raw data:

Mitt Romney has detailed a specific tax plan that provides tax cuts weighted towards millionaires and billionaires. Altogether, these tax cuts will cost about $5 trillion including interest. Here’s the math:

  • Lower tax rates by 20% = $2.5 trillion

  • Eliminating the Alternative Minimum Tax = $700 billion

  • Repeal of high-income payroll tax = $300 billion

  • Repeal the estate tax = $150 billion

  • Tax cut for corporations = $1.1 trillion

TOTAL: $5 trillion in tax cuts including interest

That math is clear. But when it comes to paying for these tax cuts, Romney hasn’t specified a single loophole he’d close and he’s said that taking steps that would require the wealthy to pay more—like raising their taxes on capital gains—are off the table. But even if he eliminated all other tax benefits for high-income taxpayers and enough corporate tax loopholes to pay for his plan, he’d still need to increase middle class taxes by $1 trillion to pay for his plan.

  • Ending all tax benefits for the wealthy = $1.7 trillion

  • Eliminate corporate tax benefits to offset corporate tax cut = $1.1 trillion

  • Eliminate enough middle class tax benefits to pay for middle class tax cut = $1 trillion

TOTAL: $4 trillion

That leaves $1 trillion that Romney must find either by increasing middle class taxes or increasing the deficit.

Even the studies that Romney has cited to claim his plan adds up still show he would need to raise middle class taxes. In fact, Harvard economist Martin Feldstein and Princeton economist Harvey Rosen both concede that paying for Romney’s tax cuts would require large tax increases on families making between $100,000 and $200,000.

Here’s the denominator: Romney indeed has a problem. No matter how Romney sets up his tax equation, it always adds up to a tax hike on the middle class.

Vote Democrat and get the non-math loving retardicans out of office please.

Agree to the deal with one stipulation: get more from the sales of jerseys for the players, with 35% going to former players who are having physical difficulties moving around from hockey injuries.

Early voting was damn near like regular voting. I got there and expected to be out in about 10 minutes at the most. :|  There were at least 70 people already in line. Took almost an hour, but SCOOOOOOORE for my President!

You know, I can't remember the last time my mother didn't vote Republican, and she was not an Obama fan really, but an unreasonable person CAN have moments of reason. Every time she sees Romney's face she says look at  crazy ass, or jack***, or something about him being a sociopath. lol. That is how I know that he really IS a lunatic. He forced a demon spawn to the other side. I hope he did that to many, many more.

I know a lot of military people who I've always known to be very much "republican" in the past who have switched sides in this election, if that means anything.

Me too. And if you throw in veterans, the total gets even larger.

I know why, as a Marine Corps Veteran, we love it when Republicans are in because we get pay raises higher than normal. However, when we are not in service of our country, we see how badly we get treated in the form of higher taxes, no dental care unless you had a dental problem taken care of in service (called Service Connected), and VA system damned near collapse trying to take care of all the Veterans when budget gets cut slimmer than Kate Moss on Cocaine and Heroin.

Plus, we see who is getting richer off our service and we don't think it's right or fair to crap on those who are willing to wear the uniform, possibly die for God, Honor, Country, and take a stand for what this nation's ideals stand for (Life, Liberty, Pursuit of Happiness and the American Dream where your kids have it better than you do, just like you had it better than your parents did)  just to enslave the working class or middle class.  The American dream is dead; last 2 generations have not had it better than their parents, and will continue to be this way if Romney is allowed to be President.

hey i have lost my Janet some where if you her where abouts let me know.

If so, that's cute.
you've been missed, janet. Just didn't want you to think I am a sex-crazed perv or anything, lol.

How have you been?
