Welcome back. This is the part of the locker room where you can sit and chat and chill for a while without offending or being shushed. Maybe you wanna watch a dvd or listen to your mp3. Yes, I rhymed. Something on your mind, post it! Random question, ask it? Hijacking is allowed and encouraged. Join the party, troll around, have a beer. It's cool. All are welcome, but please leave all BS in the hall.

I don't know about this day.

p.s. Fisher better not show back up on the Lakers roster! Lord, the backcourt would be 75 yrs old and subpar. *eyeroll*

Woke up and checked the Weather Channel.  Some guy was standing on our beach.  It was NOT Jim Cantore though, so big
sigh of relief.  It was like the Vice President was visiting or something.  No Big Deal.    Surf is supposed to be 25 feet tomorrow.
Surfable by Saturday 12-15.   Will be on that beach or whatever is left of it to check out all the hotties.

I made 2 works days out of one.  All prepped for the weekend in case I don't go in tomorrow.  All the streets tend to flood and my little Honda doesn't like it.  Took my work clothes off and left them outside.  2 showers to get rid of the curry smell.  I don't know how people from the Mid east ever get laid.

Survivor was pretty good last night.  Lisa Whelchel from the Facts of Life is turning out to be a great player.  SHe is the only female
fully covered and never in a bikini.  Awww,  Blair, you modest born again.

School is cancelled for the rest of today and all day tomorrow.  Going to try and get the kids tonight so I don't have to deal with wind and rain and tourists on I-95.

Lee must not have been wearing that Cabrera shirt last night.  I told him I had to wear it for 7 games. and hang in there.  Go Tigers!

today is like supremely hectic. and when days like that come up, i usually go to my favorite hiding spot (the q) and spend the entire day engaged here only to piss and moan that i have to work late.

so! i'm just gettin this ball rolling early.

oh! and i finally heard that 99 problems song for the first time. it was a live recording though, so it was more rocky than "nnnts, nnntsy."

i have a wedding to be in on saturday. bridesmaids are wearing black lace dresses and it's supposed to be like 50's or 60's. which makes me wonder why no one has invented nipple mittens yet.

A woman posts an ad in the news paper that looks like this...

'Looking for man with these qualifications; won't beat me up; or run away from me and is great in bed.'

She got lots of phone calls replying to her ad but met someone perfect at her door one day. The man she met said, "Hi, I'm Bob. I have no arms so I won't beat you up and no legs so I won't run away."

So the lady says, "What makes you think you are great in bed?"

Bob replies, "I rang the door bell didn't I?"

Good question. I'm going to request Christopher Walken AMA in /q/cowbell and try to get to the bottom of it.

Konichiwa B!tches,

Apparantely a 20 year old Brazillian hotty sold her 'Virginity' to the highest bidder for............... wait for it................... $780,000!!!!  Some japanese dude named 'Natsu' won the bid.  BTW, there was also a guy that sold his virginity as well, but he only got $3,000.  Sexism at it's worst I tell ya.

I just listened to some a$$hat say that the Mighty Ducks of Oregon don't deserve to play for the title because they haven't played any good teams yet and we've given up 34 to teams like Ar-Kansas State.... yet totally forgets to mention that we were up 52-7 with 6 MINUTES LEFT IN THE SECOND QUARTER BEFORE WE PULLED OUR STARTERS!!!  Or that we played Arizona State ON THE ROAD and was up 43-7 under the same circumstances.  East Coast and Suthern writers.... do yourselves a favor and watch some Pac-12 football that doesn't include USC.  You'll look a lot smarter!!!

Got 'Girl with the Dragon Tatoo' from Netflix last night.  I've read the book (ehhh) and watched the Noomi Rapace, Swedish version (very good even thought it was subtitled), looking forward to giving it a look later in the week.

Work still sucks... at least I'm not responsible for anyone or anything, but surfing the interweb for 8hrs a day is getting old.

Morning.

My nose is leaking, Dr. Kim is coming for a school visit (bigwig in my district........he is checking out my principal), and I'm getting baited by an Alaskan animal on twitter (I will resist. I will not bite. I will resist. I will not bite.). indecision But at least it's Sports Day ("teaming" up to just say no to drugs........Red Ribbon Week....shut up!), so I'm wearing my brand new Kopitar jersey. The fact that it may be the last time I wear it this year makes me want to cry. crying

Only cool thing about having the cooties invade me, is the cool red look my lips get. Oh.....and the Kings beat Vancouver in round one of the playoffs last night. YES! I'm watching the replays and pretending it is real time.

I'm going to murderball you!...

Second, with all the band nonsense going on, I was ready to just give up. We practiced last night and I was not looking forward to the gathering at all. We hooked up and things came together, it was a pretty good time. We are updating material and adding some cool tunes.

So begins one more band. I have no clue how many bands I have been in through the years. But I dig it, still.

Third, I heart me some Stephen Colbert. Go here http://gawker.com/ then click on Colbert Report and play Colbert's video. He made a million dollar offer to Donald Trump. Priceless.

Whatup?
Chicken Parm Day. Make it a good one. Contrary to rumor & covert speculation, I am not boycotting the World Series due to the Yankees taking a severe ass whooping not participating. Nothing can be farther from the truth. I watched the game last night.  In fact I heard "the Clown" screaming from my den. Haven't been able to speak on the Texans due to my absence, but ...you know.  Lakers preseason is almost done and you know what that means, Regular Season baby. Gotta agree with you Ash. Fisher was a great player & his legacy is secure, but enough is enough man. You can come down here and be a consultant to Jeremy Lin. Jokes.

Check out the Steelers throwback uni's for this weekend.....

As a former rugger (a dude that plays rugby) these don't look too bad.  Kinda like an old-tymey rugby thing.  However, I think that they may replace the Broncos AFL unis as the worst ever worn for an NFL game.  Remember these?

So I threw out a challenge to Mojo on Monday, here it is Thursday and he has yet to accept it. I guess he is scared, but just in case he has not seen it, I will restate it.

So Mojo, if you have the cajones, I say we make a avatar bet on ND/OU this weekend(even though I know you will probably win)? Step up sunshine!

I am watching Nashville, and I just saw an ad for a Words with Friends board game. Don't they already make that? Isn't it called Scrabble? Also Nashville would be better if it weren't for all the country music.

Nope....he popped on here, late Friday ,and I sent him a message over the weekend but haven't heard back from him.

He's traveling an hour, from where he lives, for new hire training and he doesn't normally log onto here at night or on the weekends.

I decided to put away a lot of things that I have to do and take care of, to spend a moment with you all. I've missed you. I really, really needed to see how's everybody doing. What's new. New romances? bromances? break ups? New babies? Weedings? Who's new? who left the site? I'll be wandering for a while to see what can I find. Meanwhile I'm sending you all my love from dangerous Mexico. Hugs and kisses. Love you all. heart

I may have asked this when Irene came to town, but Sandy looks like it be worse. How does one prepare for a hurricane when they live in the 7th floor of an apartment complex? How does being out of town tomorrow and Saturday, getting back Sunday afternoon (weather permitting) affect said preparation? This is a serious inquiry.

Tomorrow is the Pittsburgh Whiskey Festival, thus the out of town. It's apparently coming on the worst possible weekend, but it's also the highlight of my fall social season, so I'm not missing it. (OK, it's the only thing on my fall social calendar, but shut up)

Make sure you have batteries+extra cell phone battery and fresh water.  Some food you don't have to heat or refrigerate.  Ice.

Jim Cantore is here now.   I think it's because a lot of the condos will end up in the water.  Our beach is effed.

http://www.wptv.com/subindex/weather/hurricane   There is a lot of good information on here about preparations.

Good Afternoon, Everybodee!

Not much going on.     The weather here can't seem to decide if it's fall yet.  It's late October, and it's 73 degrees.

These were bad too
What does the Pittsburgh Steelers Kick Off team in the Throwback Uniforms have in common with an offensive Play?

Jail Break (Screen). LOL

Awww sweetpea your on. I've actually had to work this week so I've been popping in and out so I missed Mondays challenge.  I'm not so sure about OU's chances. The run D worries me and when your 1-8  against a team like ND,  I worry.Should be a good game. I know mugs around here are fired up.
Go Irish!!!!!!!!!!!!! His punishment, when Irish win, is hold up a sign in IRISH blue and gold that reads:

After looking NIck's picture for five minutes finally I could blink and think clearly again, well, sort of. Hello wonderful people from the Q. Love you all. heart
Stay safe and duck at all times, Violet.

I just read that Stephen A. Smith may have said the "N" word live on tv this morning.... I hope he did say it so they can finally fire him and Skip Bayless!!
won't happen, even if we want it to: first, Smith is black, and it is considered "acceptable" for a black man to use the "N" word when talking to/about another black man.

second, Smith and Bayless, as clueless as they may seem, create lots of controversy with their comments, which keeps generating publicity for ESPN. Publicity that is much needed since ESPN hasn't been the same since Olberman, Patrick, Eisen, and a host of other great journalists left Bristol for other places.
