Happy Hump Day All! Finally feeling like fall in FLorida. It's mid 50's this morning, high of 65, and low tonight of 45. I am loving it! I miss the leaves changing colors though!
Glad the election is over, couldn't come soon enough. Just so tired of all the BS advertising. Can I get an AMEN on that?

Morning.

I did something I don't usually do last night...............I commented on some family members' FB postings. I even posted my own little FB post-----I rarely do that...lol. I don't know what came over me. It's not like I've never read or heard some of what was posted before, but for some reason last night......I responded. I'd like to say it was a big mistake, but I can't. lol I'm kind of digging the fact that I probably surprised a couple family members last night. lol Anyways.....the text message of "Whooo hooo" that I got from my mom was pretty awesome too.

Anywhoo.......looks like Prop 30 passed here in California and I can't tell you how relieved I am it did. The cuts to education (not sure how much more could have been cut) that would have resulted in it not passing would have been disastrous.

So glad the Elections are over. I'm exhausted (had two beers last night.......and it was TUESDAY.) Now.....if only the NHL would fix itself.

Good Morning, Everybodee!

I agree with you with all the BS advertising.  As one editorial in this morning's paper stated, most campaigns had, ahem, mis-truths in them.   Some minor, others not so much.   How come we mandate truth in advertising, yet I require a shovel and some major construction equipment to get through all the c**p.

Now, I get to see all the political boasting BS as people commenting in editorials, online news stories and such saying "yeah, the smart votes won", or, "Doom and Gloom, HE got elected".   Ugh.

So, having been up until past 2 am last night, I called off of work today. I was going to actually go in for a half a day once I woke up around 10/10:30, but I had forgotten that the complex is working on the hot water today and shut it off at 9. Thus, I'm saving myself the ignominy of my fellow cube farmers being able to smell me.

Otherwise, as you can probably guess, I'm in a pretty good mood.

Hi everyone..
So I guess it wasn't really much of a toss-up last night

I love how none of the TV networks even acknowledged what Nate Silver has been saying for months

This is my favorite fox news prediction video by far from last weekend.. Hat! Dick Morris was WAY beyond confident about his calculations.. and ended up like...

If you get a chance watch Safety Not Guaranteed.. Fantastic little flick.  Also check out Your Sister's Sister, I was pleasantly surprised

Lots of aggresive drivers in Palm Beach this a.m.

My boss was very gracious this a.m.  I tried not to smile too much.

Out with the misogynists and in with the Women.   I think we ran the polls this time.

Still counting in Palm Beach County.  Alan West still could be in it.  10000 absentee ballots to go.

There was soooooooo much going on last night it was fantastic! Loved it!!

My big winners from the first social/multi media election night:

Drunk Diane Sawyer captivating everybody the way crazy Dan Rather did in 2000. a tour de force in what-the-effery.
Rove vs. Fox News... LIVE!
John King and his touch screens. Dude must work an iPad like nobody's business.
Nate [blanking] Silver!! That was really something else. Mind blowing. I have to order his book today.
Trump on twitter. Wow.
Flag in the hair lady. Tumblr do your thing! I'm going to make one of her standing behind Reagan at the Berlin wall or all up in MLK's kitchen during "I have a dream."
Obama's Cyrus in The Warriors speech. #money He should have ended with "CAN! YOU! DIG! IIIIIIIIIIIIIT!?!!!!!!!! then dropped the d@mn mic. Well worth staying up till 2:30 or whenever

Honorable mention jokes:
Tipsy J-Bot retweeting gold
"legitimate" / "gift from God loss" etc.
Going "Barack to Back"
Colorado voting democrat to become a 'red' state.
#rimshot!

I want a general election every other year now.

Mexico (Puerto Vallarta) was nice and relaxing!  The only down part of it, besides having to come back home, was that it was cloudy from Friday afternoon through Sunday, so I was only able to lay out in the sun on Thurs, 1/2 of the day on Friday and a few hours on Monday.

I never watch FOX News, couldn't find it for the longest time but had to turn to it because of the Rove updates... and let me tell you, my friend....it was well worth it. I hate that I didn't turn to it sooner.

I didn't watch anything prior to them calling OH. I turned it on at that exact moment actually, though it was difficult when I started getting updates that Obama might actually win FL and OH. Of course, NONE of the updates compared to the ones I was receiving like "pimps are siding with Obama by 15% but hos are favoring Romney" or "women who have kids and a side bf are split down the middle", but it was close. Probably my favorite election night thus far, esp when that Fox News anchor chick told Rove that he was right, it wasn't like a cage match, those were 2 of the most intelligent men she knew, but then she looked at the camera and gave it that look Claire gives on Modern Family when Phil is OOC and being ridiculous. Priceless. Plus, she had her Stepford face, hair, and makeup on. So good.

Today, I could really use a lot, and I do mean A LOT, less of people complaining about their jobs. Motherf**kers should be glad they have one.  Don't like where you work/the people you work with? Find a new job.  Not willing to find a new job?  STFU.  Just sayin'.

I got off work early today, which is nice b/c I have four major projects that I have to submit online by Sunday midnight.  I wouldn't say the pressure is fun.  I would say that it motivates me, so there's that.

And because the weather has been so cool and dreary here over the past couple of days...

I hit the floor running today, I hate that.  Home for a few minutes before going back to work.  It was a very long night last night glad the crap is over. Congrats to the President.

Good day, bitches.

After 6 days of no power/heat/hot water, I got back into this century on Sunday afternoon.
No more wearing 3 layers of clothing to bed every night, no more constant worrying that I smell while out in public,  no more gas lines (hopefully ... I'm not down with trying to warp myself into the 70s in THAT way), no more having to spend ridiculous amounts of money on basic supplies everyday, and no more romantic (albeit, solo) dinners by candlelight.

As nice as it was to eat foods every night that were prepared FOR me, and as much as I love me some sushi (see below), it's not as awesome when it's 53 degrees in the house and you can barely see it.

The only thing open near me during the blackout was our King's, which is the priciest supermarket in the area.  Of course.  Thankfully I can carry on my former pledge to NOT shop there ever now.  I have been saving up to adopt a highway, after all.  I need to be more responsible with my money.

Shout out to all my fellow Tri-Staters who weathered the s**tstorm, as well.  Kudos to us for rocking, like, a lot.
Also a shout out to Stoney for having Annie Sullivan, aka "The Miracle Worker", level patience when I had no internet and no phone battery to speak of.  Granted, it sucked WAY harder for me, but you were still a little trooper.

And lastly, shout out to Obama for making me right all along and giving me 4 more years of relative-taunting pleasure.  Looks like my mom IS getting regifted that "Countdown Until Obama's Last Day" clock she gave me last Christmas.    Enjoy it.

Quiet day here in the Pentagon today...even the ride in was less hectic.  Think it had to to with some election stuff last night (it was so funny how they front -ran Romney, just to say he really had no chance UNLESS Florida stayed red...he nicel-and-dimed to 152, then BOOM...it was like watching an ESPN highlight.

Prepping for a 4 day weekend...I should have found a cheap ticket to LA for this week...I will the next given opportunity - I got thangs to do back in Cali...cheeky

My Fantasy Football is a bit in shambles, but so far, basketball is looking okay...just hang on, Dee...

Let's see who will be more UN-excited this weekend, The Cowboys or the Eagles...smdh

If you voted...I'm proud of you.  If you didn't - MAKE SURE YOU DO ON YOUR NEXT OPPORTUNITY!!!  That is one of the rights I stayed in our military 24 years to fight for - do not be wasting my time...Or your own - make a difference!

Spectacular day after.

Poor Rob had to work with the crew that listens to Rush all day.  He texted me at 2 to try and get me to call in to the show.
Pfft.   Can't wait to hear how his day went.

Alan West is demanding a recount, filing a suit, etc.  Just go away MOFO.  I'm sure there is someone in the world in need of waterboarding.

Karl Rove and "the math just isn't adding up" blustery confusion was worth the price of cable.  Glad we watched the returns come in on FOX at the last minute.  Megan Fox kept saying "That's not what the experts are saying" in a gentle, cautious voice.   Priceless.
Money can't buy everything.  Awwww..........

I'm going to leave my Obama/Biden sign in the yard for the rest of the month or until it is vandalized.  I have another in the carport.

Janet, glad you are getting back to normal with the lights and heat.  How many times did you flip a switch entering and leaving  rooms?   I think I hold the worlds record.    If you or anyone else in the area had to throw away food, you should be able to collect emergency food stamps.   Not much, but it's something.  I received them (the only time ever) and donated the food I bought to the people who still didn't have anything.

I am SO GLAD I bought the WiFi router/modem I got a month ago.  It has a battery and doesn't need power to operate.  Neither does my laptop and both have plugs so they can charge in my vehicle.  ALL of our phones can charge in the truck, and I have multiple plug in points (we lose power a lot).

We were without power for 5 hours the other day and my kids had forgotten what it was like.  Hilarious.

Only worked a 5 hour shift today, another 5 tomorrow, then a 7 and off for three days.  The assistant manager comes back to work next week after her carpel tunnel surgery and I couldn't be happier.  She is a perfect boss.

Janet, you were in my thoughts more times than I care to confess.  Glad to hear you are safe and warm again, with internet! We missed you!
