No bluffing, I have never liked Baby Ruths and if I had any I would gladly send them to you. But If I were to have purchased candy for, National teach your kids to take candy from strangers day. I would have only purchased bags of candy I liked, that way if I had any left over, I could eat it. It is kind of stupid to buy candy you don't like, cause then you are just stuck with candy you won't eat.

According to some people over 50,000,000 Americans were wrong on Tuesday. So I guess it is possible for 150,00(whatever number that is) Brazilians to be wrong.

A guy stops by to visit his friend. They talk for a while and then the friend asks, "My feet are cold. Would you be so kind as to go get me my sneakers please?" The guest obliges and goes upstairs. There he sees his friend's daughters, both very good looking. Being the adventurous and quick thinking kind, he says: "Hi, ladies! Your daddy sent me here to have sex with you!" They stare at him and say, "That can't be!" He replies, "OK, let's check!" He shouts at his friend down the stairs, "Both of them?" "Yes, both of them!"

Shush - I make casseroles because they're quick and easy, and being a full time housewife, a full time mom, helping my kid with her homework, finding time to work out, etc, and having a full time job it's not easy to to find the time to plan and prepare a lovely meal. (Lasagna is a casserole, btw.) However, I don't do them all the time... just sometimes, and I never use cream of mushroom soup. That ish is nasty.

That is impossible, because Lasagna is usually delicious and casseroles are flavorless unimaginative crap(IMO).

green bean: I make this, but only maybe twice a year (one being TG). And I use cream of chicken, not mushroom. We like it.
squash: I don't know what this is but it sounds gross. And I like squash.
corn: I don't know what this is either but it sounds gross
cheesy potato Like a potatoes au gratin dish? Yum.
potato Unless cheese is involved, I don't want it.

I'm making chili for tomorrow.  Rob hates beans, so I put them in the food processor first.  He'll never know.
I do it all the time.   Kids these days.

Sometimes I make a breakfast casserole if we have a lot of company staying.   I make it the night before and bake
it the a.m.   I don't want to be standing over the stove making custom breakfast orders.   Who would make the cocktails?

I make tuna casserole with fresh tuna when we have a lot of it.  We only eat the fish we catch the first 2 days.
So much better than canned tuna.  I make my own cream sauces.  It tastes better and costs less than GMO/ canned/ processed stuff.

No cheese with fish though.

I have never liked cream of mushroom soup - or anything with mushrooms in it. I love French Onion soup but if there are mushrooms in it, I dig them out like a psycho. Mushrooms make me gag. There are only a couple of recipes I use that normally call for it but I *always* substitute cream of chicken.

Afternoon, Everybodee!

My answering machine is blessedly silent of campaign calls.   Bliss.

Now, if I can just get the high school to stop calling me about their new evening class for adults, an ESL class.  (English as a Second Language, for all you acronym-challenged out there.)

I get the fact that I've got two kids still at the school, so that accounts for 2 calls mentioning the class.  But I've gotten 5 since then, that I am aware of.  (I might have missed a few as my machine has been gorged on political calls.)

And, they start off by saying the message will repeat in Spanish, and then the proceed to announce it in very-fluent English.    I would think they would forgo the English portion, and dive straight into Spanish.  (Hello!  McFly!  The English-speakers presumably don't need the class!)

I have an awesome recipe for Tuna Casserole my kids BEG me to make.  My neighbor made up the recipe and shared with me - it is f**kawesome and I will continue making it thank you very much.

I do not make green bean casserole or any other casserole, except lasagna.  I do have a recipe for a microwave pork chop casserole that you would think would be totally gross, but it actually one of the most tasty things I have ever made.  I just never seem to make it.

Rob "Did you put bay leaves in the chili"

Me   "Does it taste like I did?"

Rob  "No, but I just ate something with skin product on it"

Me  "Fresh chopped garlic, onions, jalapenos, fresh tomatos"

Rob  "Oh, that was probably garlic skin or tomato skin"

Kinda the opposite from my personal experience. They're usually pretty cool, really smart, funny... they have the best stories too. Some of the ones in front of the camera are a different story. Diva is a diva. (Robin is sweet as hell tho) Guys can be the WORST too. LOL! I should try to get her and her friends to do some kinda of AMA deal here. They won't give names or anything.

(One of her friends is here producing a very popular reality show and apparently it's a poop-fest of a side show. They regularly have to shut down production for a day or two for crazy crap because the people truly don't like each other AND now they all think they are actually stars. It's like a perfect storm.)

**Edit to include my thoughts on the list those Ash was talking about**
green bean: I make this, but only maybe twice a year (one being TG).
First, lasagne is not a casserole in the true spirit of the word. When I make it, it's pretty much the most delicious deep dish ...umm...pie type of situation, I suppose, you've ever had. I will not have you sully the good name of lasagne. Good day.

Mushrooms are great.

Eww to every one of those casseroles (I'd probably eat a little tuna casserole, though..maybe). I don't know why people think green bean casserole is acceptable Thanksgiving food. Makes me gag just looking at it. I will probably sit the squash casserole near the trash.

But, you know I'm not a fan of anything where people just find stuff to dump in or mix together. It's why I will only eat a stew if I saw them make it, and I can't stand gumbo.

ha. you don't know how to make it? um from what i can see... take 3 cans of green beans and a can (maybe 2, whatever) of mushroom soup, then stir. maybe stir in some sliced raw onion too :S. Put in a casserole dish and stick it in the oven... i doubt it matters how long. then, put a package of fried onion straws on top, bake for another few whatever. take it out. and eat it.
#93 | 196 days ago

If you use canned green beans, make sure you drain the water from them. lol

Ha, I almost said that... but i figured, does it really matter? maybe you just don't add water to the soup. :/

No, theres worchetchire (however you spell it) sauce, and well maybe that's it.  Maybe I just want to eat it not make it. cheeky

indecision Don't listen to Ash, first of all. There's no worchestershire in it either. Ew. Wtf?

It's 2 cans or 3 cups (snapped and boiled) fresh green beans, 1/4c of milk, 1/4tsp pepper, 1/2tsp salt, 2 cans cream of chicken soup, and a can of French fried onions. Whisk the soup, milk, pepper, and salt until smooth, then pour green beans and 2/3 can of onions in, mix that together. Bake 20 minutes I think at 325, add rest of onions to the top and bake another 5-10 depending on how golden/crispy you want the top.

(I might be off on the amount of soup - I'm pretty sure it's 2 cans but that might be 2 batches...)
What? Did you guys get a group rate or something?...

And actually there are some really good other recipes to substitute for your original run-of-the-mill green bean casserole that have green beans, bacon, bread crumbs, etc. and are not creamy. My mom makes one sometimes.

And Ash...yes...lasagna's a casserole, at least an Italian one. Pizza is a pie. heart You.

Let's step away from dinner, for a moment, shall we?

Y'ALL need to make and fiest on this bad boy, right here!

Chocolate Reese's Mousse Cake
1 package Devils Food cake mix
1 large pkg miniture Reese's Peanut Butter Cups
1/2 pkg cream cheese (4 oz. No fat free substitutions here!)
1 Cup of smooth peanut butter
2 Cup of powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 Tbsp milk

1 1/2 Cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 Cup of heavy cream
3 Tbsp peanut butter
1 tsp vanilla
1/3 Cup of light karo syrup

Start off with pouring the cake batter in 2 - 8" or 9" round cake pans. Bake and then cool to room temperature.

While the cake's are cooling you can begin working on this easy mousse. Well, it's not really a mousse. This is a heavier filling. It compliments the cake. Next time

Cream together the softened cream cheese and peanut butter. Stir in the vanilla and milk. Slowly incorporate the powdered sugar until smooth. You can double the recipe if you want to make a 4 layered torte instead of a 2 layered cake. Slice the each cake once horizontally with a cake leveler or serrated knife and this will use more filling a ganache. It may be too thick and fall over but you may be more adventurous then I am and give it a try.

Heat heavy cream just until boiling. Remove from heat. Add semi-sweet chocolate chips and peanut butter and allow to sit for a couple minutes. Stir until chocolate chips are completely melted. Add karo syrup and vanilla. It will thicken as it cools. I cooled my icing  for about an hour before pouring it on top of the cake.

Carefully slice the dome-iest part of each cake layer off so the layers are level. Place one cake layer on a serving plate and spread the entire peanut butter mousse on top of the layer. Sprinkle with chopped Reese's. Place the second cake layer on top of the Reese's chunks. Spoon the icing over the top layer, allowing it to drip down the sides. Sprinkle with additional Reese's chunks and refrigerate until ready to serve.

YUUUUUUUU-MMMMMMM!

lol no - nothing like that. She must have had some sort of other alternative recipe. I use the one on the side of the French's fried onion can, tweaked a bit but not that much. Anything type of creamy casserole sounds like it would be nasty with Worchestershire or soy sauce :|

The recipe from my mama has a dash of worchesterhire sauce in it.

It is from a Campbells soup label.  She has it laminated.

And ugh.
