Welcome back. This is the part of the locker room where you can sit and chat and chill for a while without offending or being shushed. Maybe you wanna watch a dvd or listen to your mp3. Yes, I rhymed. Something on your mind, post it! Random question, ask it? Hijacking is allowed and encouraged. Join the party, troll around, have a beer. It's cool. All are welcome, but please leave all BS in the hall.

Morning. I'm so tired.

What if Phil Jackson goes and coaches another WC team? I mean as a fan, I forbid this, but if I was Phil, petty spite would be a fun option.

Make your picks if you haven't already.

Christi, I truly hope your mom is okay, it made me sad to think you may have to go through that again. I've been through it more than once, and I don't want that for you.

2 nights from now, I will be seeing edited >"The Australian Pink Floyd Concert" (here in Chicago) <end edit and being a huge Floyd fan and never having seen Pink Floyd perform in concert, I am extremely psyched to see this show!

Funny, Glenda!  hahaha

Ok, I will take your bait.

The Australian Pink Floyd show is considered to be theeee best Pink Floyd cover band.  The reviews on them state that if you never saw Pink Floyd perform and you go to their (Aust. Pink Floyd) shows, you would not know the difference.

They are performing at the Akoo Theater (formerly known as the Rosemont Theater) in Rosemont, IL (not far from where the Airport is on Higgins and Mannheim)

Check out their website

Good morning.

Some f**king telemarketer called here at 7:40 am.  It showed as Unknown Caller, but because it was so early, I figured it had to be my son's boss calling, or my daughter calling from the bus on someone else's phone, etc.

So I answered.  The non-English speaking woman on the other line wouldn't tell me where she was calling from, she just kept telling me my phone number and address.  I finally lost it on her and said "You are calling a Canadian who speaks English.  If you wish for me to have a conversation with you regarding whatever you are calling about, at least have the decency to do so in my language.  I did NOT call you!!"  She finally said she was calling about windows.  I politely told her I was not interested and to never call my number again.

In hindsight, I should have told her to eff off and ranted, because I'm damn sure someone from the damn company WILL call again.

Doesn't help that I didn't sleep well - some kind of stomach flu, I guess, as I am still queasy this morning.  However, I am back to work with the Ass't Manager back from her surgery and couldn't be happier.  So sick of the bitches who all think they could do her job better than she could.  Can't wait for her to put them back in their places!!!! Gonna be a great day!

Have a Thirsty Thursday all!! Cheers :)

today is my last time to drop $400 on a monthly thing! which means $400 will be ring-ting-tinglin in my pocket on december 15th. which means i get to prove to a few special someones that i love them, cause they're probably wondering.

the fimo clay, internal organ jewelry i made last year really wasn't well received.

it's sad that i know this, but my paycheck usually banks around 4:15-5:45am on pay day. i couldn't sleep, so i went to w**m**t to get my groceries so i could take breakfast to work (cause i effing love breakfast), but the money didn't hit until 7:45. so i spent an entire hour in hell before my day even technically started.

i'd also like to announce that since monday, november 5, i've had a balance of $0.07 in my account (november 3 was totally worth it though), so with a full gas tank and enough food to last me, i accepted my bad budgeting with my head held medium-level and i've made one pack of native american spirits last a week and a half. which forced me to not waste a single one while driving. between the time and effort it takes to smoke a native american, plus this crazy cold front that's been here a whole week, smoking just doesn't seem worth it.

hahaha, that actually sounds like i'm smoking humans. it's cool though. they're mellow yellow.

Ash, if Memphis had come out a bit slow this year I would have picked them as Phil's middle finger after being blown off by NY and Fredo Buss. The Grizzlies would be an AWESOME triangle team (the Gasol's were made for it), plus they defend the rim and get out on shooters. Gay would probably make the leap too. Best part is Phil has always had a wild card guy on his great teams (Rodman, Fox, Artest, etc.) Z-Bo would fit that mold and he's a beast down low. Hell he got into a fight with OKC's lunatic last night, lol. Man, I would like to see that team with the Zen Master calling shots.

1. I fear that Jim Buss is trying to become the Jerry Jones/Al Davis of the NBA. I hope that if there is a power struggle when Doctor Buss dies that Jennie wins. I hope that her first act is to fire the moron GM that gave up more picks for an old overrated point guard than he has years left to play in the NBA. Then she can name Phil as the new GM of the Lakers.

2. I can only think of one reason to go see Red Dawn,

I've really got nothing I feel like talking about today.  Still waiting for news and feeling like limbo isn't a place I like to be.

Otherwise, I'm posting solely b/c you f**kers entertain the s**t out of me.

Next stop for Cougar Town, local cable access at 5 AM in between a Pro-Activ infomercial and some weird preacher.

I've made a decision to try and stop being so negative all the time.

Are you all done laughing? If so, let me move on with two TV related musings.

I hadn't watched Survivor in years, but decided to watch this season due to Blair from The Facts of Life being in it (and to a lesser extent, Jeff Kent). To my surprise, I've enjoyed it. Lots of unpredictability, strategic intrigue, and mostly people that are cool with playing the game and not being jerks about it (except that one crazy woman).

Lately I've been watching a lot of Restaurant Impossible, even know every episode is essentially the same. More importantly, using my "How Staged is This Reality Show" test, Restaurant Impossible gets, on a scale of 1-Hardcore Pawn, a 6.

I heart Robert Irvine. It's so not staged! You take that back. They are really that awful (and occasionally deaf, dumb, and blind) every time, and always always need his help!

p.s. I love your scale. LOVE scales. I probably would've gone 1-All Worked Up myself :)

oh, YAY!

No, I believe that part (although some of these people just don't deserve it). What's fishy is how the design *always* comes down to the last minute. Plus, don't they need some sort of approval to do that, including another health inspection before reopening? Also, when a chef isn't hired, how do these cooks that weren't any good suddenly get good after just a few hours instruction from Robert?

Basically, a 6 means it's more staged than a competition show (which has its staged moments but mostly happened because they have to comply with game show laws), but less than something on say, MTV, VH1, or TruTV.

Gotcha.

I assume inspections, etc are done off camera. My guess would be that the health inspector is notified that they are coming in advance and is there on standby. How they become great so fast? Irvine is just. that. good. lol

Did you talk to a "Peggy"?  LOL
She didn't give me her name, she kept telling me mine and my address but wouldn't answer when I asked who the hell she was.

If she had said her name was Peggy, I think I seriously would have come unglued on her.........

2. I can only think of one reason to go see Red Dawn,

and even she is not enough.

3. If I won the powerball last night, this will soon become my new car collection.

I want, I want,  I want!!!!

Oh, the car collection that is.....
