Welcome back. This is the part of the locker room where you can sit and chat and chill for a while without offending or being shushed. Maybe you wanna watch a dvd or listen to your mp3. Yes, I rhymed. Something on your mind, post it! Random question, ask it? Hijacking is allowed and encouraged. Join the party, troll around, have a beer. It's cool. All are welcome, but please leave all BS in the hall.

Jess made my day yesterday! Granted, I'm fairly easy to please, but still...awetastic!

(and there was some other stuff too that made it pretty good :))

Hey...

What to talk about today? Gun control, gay marriage, God, the 'cliff', Obama, Boehner, Iran/North Korean nukes, abortion, drilling for domestic oil, American involvement in Afghanistan, cloning, stem cell research, free birth control pills dispensed in schools, legalization, states rights, health care, texting while driving, which fork to use first, dog on cat violence? Naw... I'll go with sports.

Braves made a great move with acquiring Upton, only to follow it up with trading Tommy Hanson to LAA for Jordan Walden. What is it, open bar night at the winter meetings? Braves, you make me crazy.

Bama in the National Championship, and it is super OK, I can handle all the hating. I hope they win for the fans, the SEC, and for powers to be to get a clue that NCAA Division 1 football needs a legitimate playoff system. Roll Tide!

Falcons, finish with a win this year. Just one Super Bowl Championship in my lifetime. Please. If you want to get more, I am OK with that, too. I love the ATL Falcons so much that it burns when I urinate. Or maybe that is from something else. Hmmm.....

My fantasy football league left out two real cool buds in the playoff thing, I am bummed a ton. You dudes rock and I don't care what Yahoo thinks.

Speaking of fantasy football, I made it into the playoffs in the money league thing at work. Again. Like the Falcons have been the last two years, I have been one and done. I gotta get past this week so I can get some pesos. It isn't much but I could use the jack. Please pray, chant, burn incense, dance in a circle, think happy thoughts, or whatever you do to bring me good Karma here. Please refrain from sending me lucky rabbits' feet. It pains me so to think about all those poor three legged bunny rabbits in this world.

Sorry for the MIA sessions, it is crazy busy. Dig you all so hugely. I really do.

Later,

Beans

-22C here today.  Not snowing, thank God, but the wind is blowing so it feels REALLY cold.

I had my truck in for service a couple of days ago and I didn't notice they hadn't put it back into "Auto" - I have 2WD, Auto, 4WDH and 4WDL.  Auto means it drives in 2WD but switches automatically to 4WD when needed.  It was in 2WD and that's the way I was driving around.  I was still driving better than 90% of the idiots in this city.

Anyway, I want sun and no snow, and my quad............

Morning all! Finially finished up 100 Christmas cards, and I am now working on 32 paintings for little mans class and soccer teams... teachers too!  This should take a couple weeks. I have to have them finished by Dec. 15th for the team, and Dec. 19th for the class.

DNR is going through for mother in law. Hubby will go down tonight or in the a.m. Dr.'s asked hubby when he would like it carried out which is Thursday noonish, but all hubby could think was... "What a question to have to answer. You literally have the power in your hands to take another persons life."   At least in this case, She would not have a life, even if she made it.

Thanks for listening, I really needed to vent, and the power of prayer, & thought is always welcome in times like these.....

Curious in regards to how many dumb questions librarians are forced to answer everyday?  So far I have been in a small branch for less than an hour and I have heard 4 that I would characterize as unable to answer without laughing first.

Finished up Island of the Sequined Love Nun last night, and I think I can squeeze in another book before we reveal the winner of the Book Club - I just gotta pick one.

I apologize for flooding anyone's feed these next few days - I'm stocking our trivia library. Feel free to do the same cheeky (sports polls and quizzes too.)

Alright, I'm gonna get back to work - let's see if I can finish a cup of coffee today before my dog decides to get into it. Have a great day, everyone!

It's Wilcard Weekend in the Sack This league and we are coming to you LIVE from Frijoles Stadium in SC where the 9-4 Beanbusters will host the 8-5 PigSkin Pimps this weekend.

I think our league should have a media day, this is HUGE. Maybe have each of us sit in an RV and watch game film with Gruden (his spank bank) while he screams out a bunch of terminology no one understands. #SLUGGO!

A woman went to her doctor for advice.

She told him that her husband had developed a penchant for anal sex, and she was not sure that it was such a good idea.

"Do you enjoy it?" The doctor asked.

"Actually, yes, I do."

"Does it hurt you?" he asked.

"No. I rather like it."

"Well, then," the doctor continued, "there's no reason that you shouldn't practice anal sex, if that's what you like, so long as you take care not to get pregnant."

The woman was mystified.

"What? You can get pregnant from anal sex?"

"Of course," the doctor replied, "Where do you think politicians come from?"

I want to get in on the league next year....maybe I'll name my team "Toe Cheese" or sumpin.....

Afternoon all!  Warmer weather continues here in NJ...up to about 60 today.  It was supposed to rain, but it's not raining now.

Christmas lights are up outside.  Wife plugged in almost the last string of lights last night.....and half of the lights that we'd spent almost 3 hours putting up....died.  I thought we blew a fuse in the house...nope....thought the outlet was bad...nope....thought the extension cord went bad...nope.  Now, as we figured it was a strand of lights, I told my wife that it HAD to be the fuse in the first strand of lights....she checked from the END of the string because that's where she was and she thought it was "easier".  While she was doing that, I changed the fuses in the first strand and guess what....they worked!  Went out to the diner after that and had French freedom toast and coffee at 1130...hit the spot.

Mom and Dad coming for a visit on the 15th.  They live in Arizona and get out here about once a year.  They used to stay with my sister a few towns over, but since she moved to...gulp....Boston....they are going to stay there with her.  They are making their Jersey rounds that weekend and will visit one brother in Atlantic City and other brother who lives an hour north of me after.  They'll spend Christmas in Boston.

Have a GREAT HUMP day!

An elderly man is stopped by the police around 2 a.m. and is asked where he is going at this time of night.

The man replies, "I am on my way to attend a lecture on the ill effects that gambling, hookers, alcohol abuse, smoking, and staying out late has on the human body."

The officer then asks, "Really? Who is giving a lecture like that at this time of night?"

The man replies, "My wife."

Don't the bottom 2 teams get 1st and 2nd pick spots  for the drafts next season??

While I can talk about all those things (and probably have for the most part), I'll stick with the Hanson trade. Unfortunately, Hanson has had the shoulder problems lately, which is the worst place a pitcher can be injured. When the shoulder, the stuff is gone. His fastball is down under 90 now, and it's showing in his stats. His 4.48 ERA last year was actually well below average. A young bullpen arm was the best the Braves could get. It sucks because Hanson was a damn good pitcher a few years ago, but that guy is probably gone for good.

I still think I was being insulted in yesterday's F/E. I still think my two points can not be argued against.

That's all I got.

Later,

Beans
Fork.

My condolences to you and your hubby.  Will keep you guys in my prayers.. I know it's got to be very hard for him to have to make that decision..  God bless you all. heart

"Of course," the doctor replied, "Where do you think politicians come from?"

indecision
Did someone mention anal sex and what is produced from it? here is photographic evidence:

Marcus, I'd like to get into the league too.
