Happy Birthday Laurel!!!!!!!

First day of four days straight.  I hope you all feel extremely sorry for me, having to work at the Liquor Store right before Christmas.

Then again, I will be pleased to "bring home my work"

Have a great day all.

Hey G...
Whatup?
The Lakers are "basking" in a 3-game winning streak.  We pummeled the NBA powers that are the Washington Wizards, Philadelphia 76ers, and a heart-stopping, one point thiller against theCharlotte Bobcats (sarcasm). I'm saving up to attend the parade (more sarcasm).

I don't know if you seen the eagle try to take the kid video, but I have some serious doubts. It's happening in the equivalent of Montreal's Central Park, Mount Royal, everybody i know has been there a bazzillion times and never seen anything bigger than a hawk. And it's only web news, not 'news' news. This would be a huge story considering the volume of families with little kids in that park. The CGI is pretty cool tho and the cursing seems like a legit reaction too, lol.

Update: It was done as a project by some students working on their Bachelor's in design & animation. A+ jerkies.

hi
had to go through some training this morning with the good people from Dow on installing solar shingle systems this morning.. Good times

In my mind, the eagle trying to steal the baby is still real to me dammit

Sports talk radio talking about NFL teams wanting to lure Nick Saban from Bama with upwards of $10mil/yr?  Saban's a good coach, a very good recruiter, but not made for NFL coaching as he has already proved in the past.  But if someone comes calling, he does seem like the guy who will do it for the $$$

Maybe the NHL and NHLPA are waiting to see if the world is actually ending Friday before they make a deal

If I was crappy Team X, I'd much rather go with Chip Kelly than Sabe's. At least Kelly is going to bring his 'fast break' offense and infuse some excitement into a team circling the drain anyway. Just like Mike D has done with the Lake... Wait. Scratch that. You're right. The Jets need to throw 12 or 13 per at Saban.

Jokes aside, San Diego is going to be the best opening right? Philly? Unless Detroit cans the guy they just extended last summer.

San Diego has the best situation for success right now.  Jim Schwartz will get one more year to see if this year was the fluke.  Philly and Arizona are a hot damn mess (yes, whisenhunt will get the axe).  Cleveland would be a decent job, but Saban is a defensive guy and the Browns strength is already their D.
I wouldn't mind seeing Chip Kelly in Arizona with Mike Vick under center.. Count it

Schumur kinda has that team playing hard with less. Much, much less. I think they give him another year. The Oakland dude on the other hand, may be one and done. Or not. He inherited a mess and is living in the fallout/nuclear winter of the Palmer trade. Easily the worst football trade of our lifetimes. There should be some kind of NFL relief effort or concert for the Raiders after that disaster. And somebody has to pay for that QB mess in Arizona right?

Oh I like that Kelly / Vick  combo in AZ.

I really *really* don't want to think about Chip Kelly in AZ. We already have Fisher in St. Louis and Harbaugh in SF. Let's keep one crappy coach in our division, mmkay? (And before anyone goes off about Pete the "cheat", I'm not hearing it...he and Schneider have turned my team around 180 from the mess Ruskell, Mora, and yes, even Holmgren left behind.)

Tonight my apartment building is having a "Holiday Party" for the first time ever. The flyer said to "Dress to Impress." Look people, it's a small buffet in the lobby. I'll only go as far as wearing actual pants.

O/U on the line "So, do you come here often?" is used

Let's list the successful college coaches that were successful in the NFL.
Jimmy Johnson
Marv Levy
Tom Coughlin
Jim Harbuagh(you could argue that the jury is still out here)

Jury is still out for me on Carroll and Schiano, but that is all I can think of.

Anyone that says Barry Switzer is a moron, Jerry Jones could have coached that team to a Super Bowl victory.

Ok.  So I begrudgingly went to my nephew's preschool Christmas program tonight.  I've got the grinch beat in that right about now, my heart is four sizes too small instead of just two.  The kids were cute, though.  My heart maybe grew a size tonight, so that it's now three sizes too small.

Louisville is playing tonight and Wayne Blackshear is a beast.  Rick Pitino is facing his son, Richard, who is coaching FIU.

I got nothing else.  I'm tired.  And I'm thinking I may just be a lesbian from now on.  Things are just a lot less complicated that way, and that's saying something.

It was -29C when I went to work this morning.

I worked 3 hours in a row on till today, because we have a sick worker who showed up and worked her ass off, even tho she felt like s**t.  She is my favorite co-worker, so much so that I took her to my staff party at the golf course.  She was supposed to work on till for two shifts, but felt so awful that I offered to work both of her shifts for her.   It was surprisingly fun!!  People seem to be in Christmassy moods, thankfully.

It`s still fricking cold.

My son comes home tomorrow!!! YAY!!! Maybe we can put the TV up on the wall (long story)

It will be great to have my little family all together again :)
