Welcome back. This is the part of the locker room where you can sit and chat and chill for a while without offending or being shushed. Maybe you wanna watch a dvd or listen to your mp3. Yes, I rhymed. Something on your mind, post it! Random question, ask it? Hijacking is allowed and encouraged. Join the party, troll around, have a beer. It's cool. All are welcome, but please leave all BS in the hall.

Merry Christmas Eve People! F/E 12/24-25 (Edited 12/24/12 11:01AM by kobe_lova) Photo Enjoy your holiday as best you can. Eat, drink, and drink some more. It helps.

I finally got to see Chris Hardwick's "Mandroid" show! And let me tell you... nerdgasm. I love him so much more now! Cute as a cute, goofy button! *swoon*
Saw Ralphie May's standup after that. He, too, was hilarious.

MERRY CHRISTMAS Q'sters. hope all of you have a great day. for over a year I've been sqwauking that the computer sucks. turns on and off by itself. kicks me off, won't let me load pics, view pics etc etc etc. I tell my wife to go buy a new computer. this one is 10 years old, it's had it's days of glory. she responds NO. each time I complain she would say "you're probably F'ing something up" end of conversation. Thursday past she is on the computer. I hear discouraging words (&^%$#&^%!!@) and much frustration. I of the inquiring mind ask what's wrong. "damn thing kicked me off, turned off etc etc etc". my response was what a reasonable person WOULD NOT say. "you probably F'ed something up" I ducked just in time as the spiraling plastic disk case she threw was tearing angry rents through the air on it's way to my forehead. long story short..... I am relaying this anecdote on a NEW COMPUTER. I am so very thankful that SHE THOUGHT OF IT. that is all. over and out. cool

Xmas Eve is boring. There's nothing on TV.

NORAD is tracking Santa. I say the hell with Santa. I want to know where in the world is Carmen Sandiego.

Merry Christmas to all on the Q and may 2013 bring you all that is on your bucket list. Took me all of 10 seconds watching ESPN before I had enough of listening to Merril Hoge bad mouth Tim Tebow before I decided to head to the library and get a season dvd of Big Bang Theory to watch today. Yes Merril we know you hate Tim Tebow as a player, a man and even the fact that he's breathing. So now do the right thing this year, spend your entire paycheck, and pay for your boy Big "overrated" Ben to attend the playoffs and Super Bowl. Since you think he is a God anyway maybe you should petition the NFL to change tomorrow to Big Ben Day.

It seems like none of our meteorologists are ready to commit to what our weather will do on Wednesday. When the front comes through, it will throw up it's middle finger and drop a cold rain, or it will sing the Hallelujah Chorus and drop several inches. I'm obviously hoping for the latter.

I love it that Louisville athletics is not a one-hit wonder (or even a two-hit wonder).

Afternoon Q'ers - I'm sure everyone has the pots and ovens going for tommorow's feast for those who celebrate, wondering how many lumps of coal I will get this year?
#13 | 606 days ago

I thought I was done shopping. I had an order placed on Friday in time to qualify for overnight shipping, to get here today. Turns out, it never made it to the truck. Made a trip to the mall early enough to purchase another gift (x 4) for tomorrow. No sign of "Mall Madness" going on, though I'm sure that will happen later this afternoon.

Oh em gee.

So we took forever to realize admit that we can't make it to the game against the Rams this weekend. We had decided a long time ago that if we couldn't make it to a game we would donate our tickets to one of the places the Seahawks work with so someone could go, whether it be military members or proceeds from the tickets going to charity. One of the guys Trever works with is a huge Seahawks fan and has never been to a game, so we put the tickets in a card for him and Trever gave it to him this morning. His reaction made me cry. I love this time of year.

This weekend was amazing. I'm exhausted and have no voice. heart

Hello out there in FanIQ Land! This is the first year in I can't remember that I have off both Christmas Eve AND Christmas Day! I promised some quotes, but decided to wait until today so that nobody got to unwrap their gifts early. I present to you the QWSI Ultimate Christmas Album...go tell me who said it!

Don Moen - Season of Hope

The prophet told us long ago
A Child will come to bring us hope
A star lit up the night to show the way
For all the wise men seeking truth
The Child came as living proof
The light of all the world still shines today
In a lowly cattle stall
Love was born to save us all

It’s a season of hope, a season of joy
And it all goes back to a Baby Boy
When God reached down and changed the world forever
We can reach out, we can believe
In the power of love, we can all meet a need
And love can change the world forever
(Love can change the world)
(Love can change the world)

Behind the lights and the Christmas cheer
People try to hide their fear
Many hungry hearts are lost and cold
But we can be the light of Christ
Bring some joy to someone’s life
And share the greatest story ever told
In a lowly cattle stall
Love was born to save us all

It’s a season of hope, a season of joy
And it all goes back to a Baby Boy
When God reached down and changed the world forever
We can reach out, we can believe
In the power of love, we can all meet a need
And love can change the world forever
(Love can change the world)
(Love can change the world)
Yes it can
(Love can change the world)
O ya!
Love can change the world
Love can change the world
Yes it can

We are His hands, we are His feet
Across a thousand miles, or across your street
We are His hands, we are His feet
Across a thousand miles, or across your street 2
We’ve got a gift,
Let’s give it away
Make a difference today

It’s a season of hope, a season of joy
And it all goes back to a Baby Boy
When God reached down and changed the world forever

We can reach out, we can believe
In the power of love, we can all meet a need
And love can change the world 2
Forever
And love can change the world forever
(Love can change the world) 2
Yes it can
(Love can change the world) 2

And love can change the world
O yes forever

Love can change the world.

Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!

To the person who gave me a bold:

1.) I'm an atheist, and I haven't exactly made my feelings about Xmas a secret. I'm only home because I have 12 and 9 year old sisters, and their needs and wants supersede my beliefs at this moment.

2.) I bought the beer. cheeky

Made it thru the day. 6.5 hours of a 7 hour shift spent on on or another of the tills. I'm freakin exhausted. Watching "It's a Wonderful Life' with the family right now, just because we felt the need to watch it again. God bless Molly.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas Eve and a special Christmas morning, even if you are the Bah Humbug type.

[Run]
It was December 24th on Hollis Ave after dark
When I see a man chilling with his dog in the park
I approached very slowly with my heart full of fear
Looked at his dog, oh my God, an illin' reindeer
But then I was illin' because the man had a beard
And a bag full of goodies, 12 o'clock had neared
So I turned my head a second and the man had gone
But he must have dropped his wallet smack down on the lawn
I picket the wallet up then I took a pause
Took out the license and it cold said "Santa Claus"
A million dollars in it, cold hundreds of G's
Enough to buy a boat and matching car with ease
But I'd never steal from Santa, cause that ain't right
So I was going home to mail it back to him that night
But when I got home I bugged, cause under the tree
Was a letter from Santa and the dough's for me

[D.M.C.]
It's Christmas time in Hollis Queens
Mom's cooking chicken and collard greens
Rice and stuffing, macaroni and cheese
And Santa put gifts under Christmas trees
Decorate the house with lights at night
Snow's on the ground, snow white so bright
In the fireplace is the yule log
Beneath the mistle toe as we drink egg nog
The rhymes that you hear are the rhymes of Darryl's
But each and every year we bust Chrsitmas carols
(Christmas melodies)

[Run-D.M.C.]
Rhymes so loud and proud you hear it
It's Christmas time and we got the spirit
Jack Frost chillin, the orchids out
And that's what Christmas is all about
The time is now, the place is here
And the whole wide world is filled with cheer

[D.M.C.]
My name's D.M.C. with the mic in my hand
And I'm chilling and coolin' just like a snowman
So open your eyes, lend us an ear
We want to say Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

My dad told me a great story every year on Christmas Eve concerning a Christmas Eve when he was a child. He grew up in a farmhouse across a pond from my great-grandparents' house. Santa came to his house on Christmas Eve rather than overnight. This particular year, there was a decent accumulation of snow and the pond was frozen over. There was also a full moon. As dad and his sister walked across the pond, he saw the shadow of santa's sleigh pull away. (It was probably an owl...or not).

My Tahoe got egged last night....I was sooo mad

less than 2 days before a car got egged in my driveway...

why...I haven't done anything to anyone......

I heard a noise outside about a hour ago, grab a flashlight and go outside, it's just a small herd of deer...

I love to sit on the front porch and watch them...they are so peaceful......

maybe not so, when they eat my flowers....lol...

but anyways...

It's -33C today. In other words, COLD!!

My children bought me a Tassimo. Unfortunately, it doesn't come with any trial thingys, so will have to wait until I go back to town to buy some to try. I've been told the Chai Tea is awesomeness. I don't like Nabob coffee tho, so that won't be anything I'll try. Any other recommendations??

My daughter also got me new slippers and the Hunger Games, so gonna watch that too.

They got everything on their Christmas lists, so have disappeared into their rooms to watch movies/play video games. Brunch coming up shortly tho, then a lazy afternoon and turkey dinner. Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Love ya all!!

I hope you and those girls had a fun day!

I hope most of the rest of you had a great/good/decent day, too. My kid had a good one except for the few minutes that she thought everyone had opened her presents while she was gone (they were far back behind the tree when she returned). So after her short "I had a lots of presents under the treeeee" meltdown.. (lol) was all good.
